Abstract

Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) have become a significant health issue requiring serious attention. Data from the Jambi City Health Office shows an increase in NCD cases from 16,154 in 2022 to 16,246 in 2023, with 4,129 cases being the highest. This study aims to analyze the management of the integrated NCD control post (Posbindu) at Rawasari Community Health Center. Using a qualitative research method with a descriptive-analytical approach, the study involved 11 informants, including healthcare workers and Posbindu cadres. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document reviews. The findings indicate that program planning is not yet optimal due to a lack of cadres and inadequate facilities and infrastructure. Task organization is functioning as expected, but the limited number of cadres forces healthcare workers to provide additional assistance. The program is implemented through socialization efforts, but the five-stage system is not fully standardized, and community participation remains low. Monitoring, recording, and reporting are in accordance with the 2019 Ministry of Health guidelines. Overall, the Posbindu NCD program at Rawasari Community Health Center is running fairly well, but challenges persist in planning and implementation. Improvements are needed, particularly in increasing the number of trained cadres, collaborating with relevant stakeholders, and optimizing the five-stage Posbindu service system to enhance program effectiveness.

Abstract

Compliance with independent participants in paying National Health Insurance (JKN) contributions in Jambi City is not optimal. This is because Jambi City is the district/city that has the largest number of independent participants in arrears, namely 103,195 (16.95%) participants. Contributions greatly influence the smooth running of BPJS Health so that there is no deficit. The aim of this research is to determine the factors associated with compliance with paying monthly BPJS health contributions for independent participants in the informal sector in Jambi City. This research uses a cross sectional design, with purposive sampling data collection techniques. The samples taken were 139,091 independent BPJS participants in the informal sector. Analysis was carried out using univariate and bivariate tests with the chi-square test. The results of the study show that there is a relationship between education (p-value=0.039) and income (p-value=0.005) with compliance with paying BPJS Health contributions and there is no relationship between employment (p-value=0.190), contribution rates (p-value =0.129) and access to payments (p-value=0.887) with compliance in paying BPJS Health contributions for independent participants in the informal sector in Jambi City. BPJS Health must strictly enforce sanctions in accordance with applicable regulations if payments are late. People are expected to choose a treatment class that suits their ability to pay JKN contributions or if they feel they cannot afford it, people can apply to become PBI participants.

Abstract

Health is a long-term investment that is indispensable in supporting the success of Indonesian development. WHO has committed to developing a health system that can ensure everyone gets the health services they need without worrying about being constrained by costs, this health is known as Universal Health Coverage. One of the obligations of JKN participants was to pay monthly fees, Ability to pay and Willingness to pay greatly affected people's interest in paying monthly fees. As many as 83% of Indonesia's population had become participants of JKN, but the high number of JKN participants was not accompanied by the active participation of the participants in paying monthly fees. The number of visits to the Koni Primary Health Care had decreased over the past 3 years and based on the initial survey it was found that many JKN-KIS participants were in arrears to pay monthly fees. The purpose of this study was to determine the determinants of the willingness to pay dues (WTP) for independent JKN participants at the Koni Primary Health Care in Jambi City. This research was quantitative with a cross-sectional design. The samples were taken by purposive sampling technique with a total sample of 105 participants. The results showed that the variables associated with the willingness to pay contributions (WTP) were education level (p = 0.009), income level (p = 0.023) and ability to pay (ATP) (p = 0.038). Meanwhile, the unrelated variables were age (p = 0.110 and p = 1,000) and gender (p = 0.550). There was a relationship between education level and WTP. There was a relationship between the level of income and the willingness to pay, and there was a relationship between the ability to pay (ATP) and the willingness to pay for independent JKN participants. There was no relationship between age and willingness to pay, and there was no relationship between gender and willingness to pay independent JKN contributions.

Abstract

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are preventable and their risk factors can be controlled. However, most of the behaviors that are at risk of NCDs are often unaware of it. Based on preliminary studies on 259 students of the Public Health Science Study Program (Prodi IKM), it is known that students have never conducted basic routine examinations at least once a year (16.3%) and students do not know the concept of "CERDIK BEHAVIOR" (20.5%). This service aims to increase students' understanding of NCDs and determine the results of early detection of NCD risk. This community service program was carried out in the form of education on the importance of preventing and overcoming NCDs along with the detection of NCD risks, which was attended by 84 students of the public health science study program. Based on the pre-test results, the average reached 63% of correct questions, then increased to 74% in the post-test. Based on anthropometric data and blood pressure measurements, it is known that most have indications of normal body mass index (72.61%), thin (4.76%), very thin (5.95%), mild obesity (10.71%), and severe obesity (5.95%). In addition, most participants had normal blood pressure (64.29%), compared to pre-hypertension (27.38%), and grade 1 hypertension (8.33%). It is hoped that the examination of health conditions in S-1 SMI students will be carried out on an ongoing basis at least once every 6-12 months so that health status and efforts to improve it are known.
