Abstract

Against the background of students' indifference to science lessons, student scores are still below the KKM, and students have not experienced different learning models or media. The aim of this research is to develop a science Digital Book learning media that uses Kvisoft Flipbook, based on solving problems about matter and its changes to explore the feasibility of Digital Book media obtained through expert validation and to find out the attractiveness through student responses. Types of research and development (Research and Development). Through research and development steps that are guided by the ADDIE model. The development stage involved six validators and four practitioners to assess the feasibility of the material and media. The implementation phase involved 70 students (25 students at AlMaksum Stabat Private Middle School, 25 students at Stabat 1 Public Middle School, and 20 students at Bintang Langkat Private Middle School). The validation results from material experts and media experts which were carried out in 2 stages obtained very feasible criteria with a percentage of 72.50% and media experts at 80.75%. The results obtained by material practitioners were 74.41% and media practitioners 84.71%. For students' responses to learning media in the form of problem solving-based digital books, the scores obtained were for Al Maksum Langkat Private Middle School at 80.74%, Stabat 1 Middle School at 81.22%, and Bintang Langkat Private Middle School at 80.74%.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a digital module in science learning to improve student learning outcomes. To this end, the research and development using the ADDIE model were applied. This research was conducted at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 12 Langkat during the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The study participants were fifth-grade students in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 12 Langkat. The object of this research was the development of digital-based modules. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The developed product was validated by three validators: a linguist, a media expert, and a material expert. Students' responses were also garnered. The developed digital module was proven to improve students’ learning outcomes 77.27% of students said they were happy with the subject matter and 86.36% of students were happy with the module components. Meanwhile, 72.73% of students were happy with the classroom learning atmosphere, and 86.36% of students were happy with the teacher's teaching method. The results of the assessment of the digital module showed that the product was deemed feasible. Students' responses to the digital module were very good. The digital science learning module developed in this study was proven to be able to improve the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 12 Langkat. This study contributes to the development of e-learning media in elementary education.

Abstract

Nilam (Pogostemon cablin Benth.) merupakan tanaman yang sudah banyak dikenal oleh masyarakat luas. Nilam adalah salah satu tanaman yang sering ditemui di daerah Asia. Tanaman nilam banyak ditanam untuk diambil minyaknya. Minyak nilam banyak dibutuhkan untuk industri kosmetik, parfum, antiseptik, dan lain-lain. Minyak daun nilam merupakan salah satu jenis minyak atsiri yang sering juga disebut dengan minyak eteris atau minyak terbang. Proses pembuatan minyak daun nilam dapat dilakukan dengan destilasi air, destilasi uap-air dan destilasi uap. Semua bagian dari tumbuhan ini juga dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai obat sakit kepala. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah memberikan pemahaman bahwa pohon nilam memiliki berbagai manfaat. Salah satunya adalah mengobati sakit kepala atau migren. Memberikan keterampilan dan meningkatkan motivasi masyarakat dalam membudidayakan dan membuat minyak atsiri dari daun nilam di Desa Namo Sialang, Kecamatan Batang Serangan, Kabupaten Langkat, Provinsi Sumatera Utara, Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan adalah demonstrasi, praktik dan diskusi dengan pendekatan pelatihan dan pendampingan kepada masyarakat.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menambah pengetahuan mahasiswa tentang mengolahan daun nilam menjadi minyak atsiri. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk pelatihan pembuatan minyak atsiri dari daun nilam. Kegiatan pengabdian ini diikuti oleh 50 orang diantaranya yaitu Dosen STKIP Al Maksum Langkat yang berjumlah 8 orang, Mahasiswa STKIP Al Maksum Langkat yang berjumlah 35 orang, dan Petani daun nilam yang berjumlah 7 orang. Berdasarkan hasil yang telah diperoleh dari kegiatan pengabdian ini, kegiatan ini sangat berdampak positif bagi dosen dan mahasiswa STKIP Al Maksum Langkat, karena dari kegiatan pengabdian ini dosen dan mahasiswa mendapatkan pengalaman dan pengetahuan baru tentang pemanfaatan daun nilam menjadi minyak atsiri.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Perkembangan teknologi saat ini menuntut kita untuk terus maju dan berkembang agar tidak tertinggal jauh di belakang. Termsuk dalam dunia pendidikansalah satunya adalah dalam pegelolaan adminsitrasi sekolah. Namun, masih ada beberapa instansi yang menggunakan system manual. Hal ini disebabkan kurangnya pengetahuan sumber daya manusia dalam menggunakan teknologi. Oleh karena itu team melakukan pelatihan ini. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk mendampingi guru-guru dalam menggunakan system administrasi sekolah berbasis digital. Metode yang dilakukan pada kegiatan ini adalah pelatihan pendampingan guru-guru dalam penggunaan system administrasi. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dapat dikategorikan berhasil. Keberhasilan kegiatan ini dilihat dari respon peserta selama pelatihan yang diikuti dengan pendampingan, apakah respon mereka positif atau mengikuti seluruh rangkaian kegiatan dan berpartisipasi dalam tiap tahapan kegiatan serta antusias dalam praktek tata kelola dan diskusi. Hasil pengabdian pada masyarakat menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta dalam mengelola administrasi sekolah berbasis digital. Selain itu para peserta sangat antusias dalam kegiatan dengan mengajukan pertanyaan-pertanyaan. Ini menunjukkan keefektifan pelatihan penggunaan system administrasi sekolah berbasis digital.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa kelas XI pada materi virus SMA Negeri 1 Stabat dengan menggunakan pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah metode exsperimen semu (quasi-experiment research). Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah “pra-tes dan pasca-tes dengan kelompok-kelompok tidak acak” atau non equivalent pretes control group design. Cara pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan Teknik sampel Random Sampling. Tes yang diberikan merupakan tes kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Persentase siswa yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi dengan kategori sangat baik adalah 16,614, 66767%. Selanjutnya, 26,667% memiliki kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi dengan kategori baik; 30,000% memiliki kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi terkategori cukup; 23,667% memiliki kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi terkategori kurang; dan tidak ada yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi dengan kategori sangat kurang. Indikator menganalisis memiliki persentase kemunculan tertinggi yaitu sebesar 71, 435%. Kemudian, kemunculan pada indikator mengevaluasi adalah sebesar 70,000%, dan indikator dengan persentase kemunculan terendah adalah mengkreasi yaitu sebesar 33, 317%.

Abstract

This research is backgrounded by students' inactivity in following the lessons given by the teacher because the teacher only uses the same method in every teaching and learning activity, always uses monotonous teaching methods so as to make students bored, students lack the courage to ask questions, and some students do not complete the assigned tasks properly whose results are low student learning outcomes at SD Swasta PAB 10 Sampali. which is characterized by student learning outcomes that have not reached the minimum threshold of completeness criteria. Low student learning achievement is caused by the learning process that has not been maximized. This study aims to determine the influence of the Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning method on science subjects in improving the learning outcomes of grade IV students at SD Swasta PAB 10 Sampali. In science learning, there are several cooperative learning models that can be used to improve learning outcomes and make students active. One of them is the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) learning method. The Numbered Heads Together method is part of a structural cooperative learning model, which emphasizes specific structures designed to influence student interaction patterns.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah memberikan sebuah pengalaman yang menerangkan bahwa belajar IPA itu sangat asik dan menyenangkan, Serta dapat memberikan sebuah keterampilan baru dalam mengenal bentuk dan ciri fisik dari daun nilam di Desa Namo Sialang, yang dapat menjadi sebuah pengetahuan baru sehingga dapat memotivasi masyarakat setempat untuk dijadikan sebuah pelajaran baru yang dulunya belum tahu menjadi tahu, sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan dalam kehidupan sehari hari. Metode yang kami gunakan ialah Demonstrasi, Praktikum, dan Diskusi. Dalam sistem pendekatan dan pendampingan bersama para dosen dan sebahagian masyarakat. Tanggapan dari masyarakat terhadap kami dalam melakukan penelitian berdasarkan Survey lapangan. Hasil pengenalan yang kami lakukan berdasarkan survey 100% masyarakat menjelaskan bentuk dan jenis serta fungsi pada tanaman daun Nilam tersebut.

Abstract

The research objective was to find out how the critical thinking skills and literacy skills of elementary school students relate. The research method used is a correlational research method with a quantitative approach. Aims to reveal the relationship between variables. Population to be studied (Sugiyono, 2019). The population in this study were 215 fifth grade elementary school students consisting of 8 schools. The sampling technique used by researchers is simple random sampling technique. The sample of this research is 140 students. Data collection techniques in this study were in the form of tests of critical thinking skills and tests of scientific literacy abilities. The data processing carried out consisted of three stages, namely data description and categorization, analysis prerequisite testing, and hypothesis testing. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that: 1) There is a relationship between scientific literacy abilities and students' critical thinking skills with a correlation coefficient of 0.368; 2) Scientific literacy ability influences or contributes to students' critical thinking skills by 13.6%; 3) Scientific literacy ability has a positive and significant relationship to students' critical thinking skills with a significance value based on a simple linear regression test <5%.
