Abstract

This research aims to develop a flipbook based educational game to foster the values of Pancasila student profiles. This research is research and development. This research uses the ADDIE development model. This research was carried out at SD IT Bintang Langkat. The subjects in this research were 20 class IV students. Data collection techniques are observation, questionnaires and tests. The data analysis used in this research is: (1) analysis of the feasibility of flipbook based educational games, (2) analysis of the effectiveness of flipbook based educational games. Based on the validation results, it is known that the material expert validation results with a percentage of 89.23% are categorized as very feasible. Linguist validation results with a percentage of 92.30% are categorized as very feasible. The media expert validation results with a percentage of 96.66% were categorized as very feasible. The results of expert practitioner validation with a percentage of 88.34% are categorized as very feasible. The results of the pretest revealed that 15 students completed and five students did not complete, the learning outcomes of the students who completed were a percentage of 55%. Meanwhile, the results of the posttest test showed that 17 students completed and 3 students did not complete, the learning outcomes of students who completed were 77%.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the prevalence of individuals choosing traditional medicine for both medical and non-medical treatment, emphasizing the unwavering faith of the Tembung community in the efficacy of traditional medicine, particularly green coconut oil, and herbal remedies. The literature review is anchored in the concept of preserving local wisdom in traditional medicine. Employing a qualitative research approach with an ethnographic lens, the author conducted data collection through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, utilizing Spradley's model for analysis. The findings reveal the persistent utilization of ancestral herbal remedies in traditional medicine, driven by ingrained beliefs and financial considerations, particularly as a cost-effective alternative for both medical and non-medical ailments. In summary, the study concludes that the community's strong belief in traditional medicine is rooted in its affordability and accessibility, allowing individuals to seek treatment without bureaucratic hurdles. The paper underscores the importance of government support and monitoring to ensure that traditional medicine aligns with regulations, fostering a sense of security for those seeking treatment within these practices. It is recommended that the government continues to collaborate with traditional medicine practices, ensuring a balance between cultural preservation and adherence to established standards.

Abstract

Boraks merupakan sebuah bahan tambahan umum dalam pengawet makanan, memiliki potensi bahaya bagi kesehatan manusia dan sekarang dilarang penggunaannya oleh pemerintah. Meskipun demikian, masih ada banyak produk makanan yang mengandung boraks yang beredar dan dikonsumsi. Formaldehida, juga dikenal sebagai formalin, adalah zat kimia berbahaya yang secara tegas dilarang untuk digunakan dalam bahan makanan. Meskipun demikian, formalin tetap digunakan dalam produksi kecap untuk memperpanjang umur simpan makanan dan mencegah kerusakan. Formalin adalah zat kimia berbahaya yang tidak boleh digunakan dalam produksi makanan, namun masih banyak produsen makanan seperti bakso, nugget, sosis, batagor, tempe, tahu putih, tahu kuning, mie basah, mie lidi, mie tiau, ikan asin, ikan teri, belacan, udang kecepe, kerupuk PF, kerupuk udang, dan kerupuk merah yang menggunakan zat ini. Penggunaan formalin dalam pembuatan makanan dimaksudkan untuk memperpanjang umur simpan dan mencegah kerusakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 4 sampel positif mengandung formalin dan 5 sampel positif mengandung boraks. Studi ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat agar lebih berhati-hati dalam memilih makanan berdasarkan kualitas gizi dan kebersihannya. Selain itu, masyarakat dapat menggunakan ekstrak kulit buah naga dan ekstrak kunyit sebagai alat pendeteksi informalin dan boraks dalam makanan sehari-hari Kata Kunci :Boraks; Formalin;Keamanan Pangan; Deteksi Alami; Edukasi Konsumen.

Abstract

This study focuses on the effect of the problem-based learning (PBL) model on the learning outcomes of eighth-grade students on the subject of the human respiratory system at Mts Al-Washliyah Stabat. The purpose of this study is to determine how the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model affects the learning outcomes of eighth-grade students at MTS Al-Washliyah Stabat on this subject. The research method used was a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test post-test control group design. This study involved all 132 eighth-grade students. The research sample was determined using purposive sampling, namely class VIII-C as the experimental class (PBL model) and class VIII-D as the control class (lecture method), with a 30-question multiple-choice test instrument, which was analyzed through normality, homogeneity, and independent t-test. The results showed a significant effect on the experimental class with a post-test average score of 84,81 compared to the control class with an average score of 72,09. The hypothesis test obtained a significance value of 0.000 0.05, which means that Ha is accepted, so it can be concluded that the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model has a positive and significant effect on the learning outcomes of eighth-grade students on the material of the human respiratory system at Mts Al-Washliyah Stabat.

Abstract

This study aims to develop animated videos. The type of research used in this study is research and development (R&D). This study uses the 4-D development model (Four D). This model was developed by Sivasailam Thiagarajan, Dorothy S. Semmel, and Melyn I Semmel (1974). The development of the 4-D model consists of 4 stages, namely, define, design, development and disseminate. (Thiaagarajan, 1974). The research was conducted at SDN 026560 Binjai. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2024/2025 school year. The subjects in the study were validators and grade IV students ofSDN 026560 Binjai. The object of this study was animated videos. Data collection techniques used were observation, questionnaires and tests. Based on the results of the study, it is known that Based on the validation results by material experts with a percentage of 89.90% it is categorized as very feasible, language experts with a percentage of 91.20%, and media experts with a percentage of 93.65% are categorized as very feasible. So, it can be concluded that animated videos are very feasible to be used for grade IV students at SDN 026560 Binjai.

Abstract

The development of digital technology in education requires teachers to be competent in designing effective electronic-based assessments that meet student needs. One important form of initial assessment in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum is diagnostic e-assessment, which serves to identify students' initial abilities, knowledge gaps, and learning characteristics. This community service activity aims to improve teachers' competency in developing diagnostic e-assessments through outreach and training at Elementary School 064014 Medan. The implementation method included preparation, outreach, demonstrations of electronic-based diagnostic test preparation, and hands-on practical assistance. The results of the activity indicate an increase in teachers' understanding and skills in designing and implementing diagnostic e-assessments in their respective classrooms. This activity contributes to improving the quality of learning assessments and supports the optimal implementation of the Independent Curriculum in elementary schools.

Abstract

The research aims to develop a character education-based module. This research is research and development. The research uses the ADDIE development model which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research was carried out at SD Negeri 050660 Kwala Bingai. The research subjects were 20 fifth grade students, consisting of 8 male students and 12 female students. The research object is a character education-based module. Data collection techniques are observation, tests and questionnaires. Based on the validation results of language experts with a percentage of 80.00%, they are categorized as feasible, the validation results of material experts with a percentage of 94.75% are categorized as very feasible, and the validation results of media experts with a percentage of 90.60% are categorized as very feasible. The results of the pretest were with a percentage of 47%, 2 students who completed and 18 students who did not complete. Meanwhile, the posttest trial with a percentage of 82%, 19 students completed and 1 student did not complete. Based on the validation results and trial results, it was concluded that the character education-based module was very feasible and effective for use for class V students at SD Negeri 050660 Kwala Bingai.
