Abstract

The research aims to develop a character education-based module. This research is research and development. The research uses the ADDIE development model which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research was carried out at SD Negeri 050660 Kwala Bingai. The research subjects were 20 fifth grade students, consisting of 8 male students and 12 female students. The research object is a character education-based module. Data collection techniques are observation, tests and questionnaires. Based on the validation results of language experts with a percentage of 80.00%, they are categorized as feasible, the validation results of material experts with a percentage of 94.75% are categorized as very feasible, and the validation results of media experts with a percentage of 90.60% are categorized as very feasible. The results of the pretest were with a percentage of 47%, 2 students who completed and 18 students who did not complete. Meanwhile, the posttest trial with a percentage of 82%, 19 students completed and 1 student did not complete. Based on the validation results and trial results, it was concluded that the character education-based module was very feasible and effective for use for class V students at SD Negeri 050660 Kwala Bingai.

Abstract

This article uses the Provus Evaluation Model (Discrepancy Model) developed by Malcolm Provus. The current article aims to analyze whether the program is worth continuing, improving, or stopping. This model emphasizes the formulation of (1) standards, (2) performance, and (3) discrepancy in detail and measurable. The results show some general weaknesses of the teacher professional program (PPG), namely the lack of practical application of the program, where teachers focus too much on theory and not enough on practical teaching skills. Teachers may not receive adequate financial support for self-direction during the program or after they complete it. Some programs may not reflect the latest research and developments in education. Balancing teaching and professional development can be challenging, and some programs may not offer flexible scheduling and equity of training time for pre-service and in-service teachers.K

Abstract

This research aims to develop a flipbook based educational game to foster the values of Pancasila student profiles. This research is research and development. This research uses the ADDIE development model. This research was carried out at SD IT Bintang Langkat. The subjects in this research were 20 class IV students. Data collection techniques are observation, questionnaires and tests. The data analysis used in this research is: (1) analysis of the feasibility of flipbook based educational games, (2) analysis of the effectiveness of flipbook based educational games. Based on the validation results, it is known that the material expert validation results with a percentage of 89.23% are categorized as very feasible. Linguist validation results with a percentage of 92.30% are categorized as very feasible. The media expert validation results with a percentage of 96.66% were categorized as very feasible. The results of expert practitioner validation with a percentage of 88.34% are categorized as very feasible. The results of the pretest revealed that 15 students completed and five students did not complete, the learning outcomes of the students who completed were a percentage of 55%. Meanwhile, the results of the posttest test showed that 17 students completed and 3 students did not complete, the learning outcomes of students who completed were 77%.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the content validity of instruments used at schools. In this research, content validity is measured from three aspects, namely material, construct, and language/culture/ethics aspects. The method used in this research uses quantitative descriptive methods. Content validity was assessed by 8 validators by filling a questionnaire. The results obtained from the validator are then analyzed by calculating the Aiken's V index. The Aiken's V value is used to ensure that the instrument used meets the content validity criteria and is categorized as suitable for use as a measuring tool. Based on analysis using Aiken's V, the averages obtained for the material, construct, and language/culture/ethics aspects were respectively in the very high, very high, and high categories. And overall the content validity of the instruments used in schools has met good content validity standards in the very high category. However, determining the criteria for a good assessment instrument is not only content validity, but also construct validity, empirical or item validity, and reliability. So, to further ensure that the quality of the end-of-semester assessment instruments used in schools is categorized as fully adequate, further research can be carried out by future researchers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the prevalence of individuals choosing traditional medicine for both medical and non-medical treatment, emphasizing the unwavering faith of the Tembung community in the efficacy of traditional medicine, particularly green coconut oil, and herbal remedies. The literature review is anchored in the concept of preserving local wisdom in traditional medicine. Employing a qualitative research approach with an ethnographic lens, the author conducted data collection through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, utilizing Spradley's model for analysis. The findings reveal the persistent utilization of ancestral herbal remedies in traditional medicine, driven by ingrained beliefs and financial considerations, particularly as a cost-effective alternative for both medical and non-medical ailments. In summary, the study concludes that the community's strong belief in traditional medicine is rooted in its affordability and accessibility, allowing individuals to seek treatment without bureaucratic hurdles. The paper underscores the importance of government support and monitoring to ensure that traditional medicine aligns with regulations, fostering a sense of security for those seeking treatment within these practices. It is recommended that the government continues to collaborate with traditional medicine practices, ensuring a balance between cultural preservation and adherence to established standards.

Abstract

Nilam merupakan semak tropis penghasil minyak atsiri, dimanfaatkan bagian daunnya untuk dijadikan minyak sebagai obat untuk kesehatan masyarakat di desa Namo Sialang. Minyak atsiri juga dikembangkan untuk pengobatan aroma terapi. Selain itu, minyak nilam dimanfaatkan untuk penyembuhan fisik, mental, dan emosional seseorang. Tanaman nilam sebenarnya mudah tumbuh, dengan catatan kondisi lingkungan atau perawatannya tepat. Tumbuhan ini menyukai suasana teduh, hangat, dan lembab. Mudah layu jika terkena sinar matahari langsung atau kekurangan air. Bunga daun nilam menyebarkan bau wangi yang kuat atau khas. Pelestarian daun nilam ini banyak manfaatnya bagi masyarakat di Desa Namo Sialang dikarenakan ampuh dalam mengobati hampir segala penyakit yang ada. Jenis tanah yang cocok ditanami daun nilam ialah tanah regosol dan tanah aluvial. Budidaya tanaman nilam dapat dilakukan dengan cara vegetatif (kultur jaringan atau stek). Selain itu musim yang cocok untuk menanam daun nilam adalah awal musim hujan dan waktu panen terbaik sekitar empat atau enam bulan sekali. Dari situlah didapatkan tanaman daun nilam yang berkualitas baik yang diolah menjadi minyak untuk mengobati kesehatan masyarakat di Desa Namo Sialang. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan proses pembelajaran dan hasil belajar IPA dengan menerapakan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Talking Stick . Siswa Pada Mata Pelajaran IPA Sub Tema Makananku Sehat dan Bergizi di Kelas IV SD Swasta PAB 10 Sampali. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Swasta PAB 10 Sampali, yang berjumlah 19 orang siswa, terdiri dari 10 orang Laki-laki dan 9 orang perempuan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian tindakan kelas merupakan penelitian yang dilakukan oleh guru kelas yang ingin memperbaiki keadaan di kelasnya sendiri. Adapun hasil penelitian ini adalah:1) Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Talking Stick pada pokok bahasan Makanan Sehat dan Bergiz i ; 2) Pada prasiklus diperoleh hasil belajar IPA dari 19 rang siswa terdapat 8 orang yang tuntas KKM atau sekitar 42,1%, sedangkan 11 orang tidak tuntas KKM atau sekitar 57,9%; 3) Pada siklus I diperoleh hasil belajar IPA dari 19 orang siswa terdapat 14 orang tuntas KKM atau sekitar 73,7%, sedangkan terdapat 5 orang siswa tidak tuntas KKM atau sekitar 26,3%; 4) Pada siklus II diperoleh hasil belajar IPA dari 19 orang siswa terdapat 18 orang tuntas KKM atau sekitar 94,7%, sedangkan terdapat 1 orang siswa tidak tuntas KKM atau sekitar 5,3%.
