Abstract

Komunikasi korporat merupakan aspek krusial dalam manajemen organisasi yang berperan dalam membangun citra, reputasi, serta hubungan baik dengan pemangku kepentingan internal maupun eksternal. Artikel ini membahas strategi komunikasi korporat yang efektif dalam mendukung keberhasilan organisasi melalui analisis berbagai model komunikasi yang telah diterapkan dalam berbagai perusahaan. Kajian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan merujuk pada berbagai penelitian terkait corporate communication. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan komunikasi korporat yang baik dapat meningkatkan loyalitas publik internal, menjaga reputasi perusahaan, serta memperkuat posisi perusahaan dalam industri yang kompetitif.

Abstract

.Public Relations (PR) plays a central role in shaping and maintaining the reputation and public trust of an organization. Through a conceptual approach and literature review, this article explores how PR functions as a strategic pillar in organizational communication. PR is not only responsible for delivering information but also for building mutual trust between organizations and the public through open, honest, and continuous communication. A strong reputation and high public trust are the result of consistent and responsive communication strategies. In the digital era, where misinformation and rapid information flow pose significant challenges, the role of PR becomes increasingly vital. The findings of this article suggest that strengthening the role of PR as a pillar of reputation and public trust should be a top priority in modern organizational communication strategies.

Abstract

Social media has become a new cultural space for teenagers to express themselves, interact socially, and form a self-image online. Trend culture on social media has become an important phenomenon in the dynamics of digital communication, especially among teenagers and the younger generation. Trend culture is a fluid cultural space where values, norms and identities are constantly negotiated through virtual interactions. Rapidly evolving trends through platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube not only reflect lifestyle changes, but also become a means of self-expression, identity formation, and the search for social validation. This research aims to analyze how adolescent identity is represented through trend culture on social media in interaction patterns, meaning construction, and user self-representation. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of digital observation of active teenage users of the Instagram and TikTok platforms. The theory used is Stuart Hall's representation theory. The representation is not singular, but rather fluid and performative, depending on social dynamics, recognition needs, and symbolic interactions in digital space. The results show that cultural trends, such as viral challenges, clothing styles, the use of visual filters, and the use of certain captions, become an important medium in the construction and representation of teenage identity.

Abstract

Batik is one of the archipelago's treasures that is increasingly being marketed optimally. Batik 786 ‘Batikna Urang Banten’, one of the MSMEs in Kolelet Wetan Village, Rangkasbitung, Banten, has been in existence for five years but has not yet been touched by digitalization. As a result, its marketing is still done in a conventional manner. The production site is also not easily accessible to a wider market, so Batik 786 needs additional efforts to boost its sales and brand recognition. This initiative aims to expand Batik 786's target market through digital marketing by creating an account on one of Indonesia's e-commerce platforms, Shopee. The initiative is carried out in the form of training sessions with four meetings. From an introduction to e-commerce to a simulation of the checkout process until the product reaches the consumer. The materials provided by the Student Work Study Program (KKM) Group 56 of Bina Bangsa University have helped Batik 786 become digitally literate and ready to compete in the national market. The results of this community service initiative demonstrate an increase in Batik 786's capacity in digital marketing. The owner of Batik 786 can now easily expand their marketing efforts optimally through digital marketing.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of @pelangibundamedika Instagram account on the fulfillment of patient information needs at the Rainbow Bunda Medika Clinic. Using the theory of Uses and Gratifications as a foundation, this study examines how patients actively use social media to obtain health information, such as doctor's practice schedules, educational materials, and service promotions. The method used was quantitative associative with a survey approach of 100 respondents. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using validity, reliability, as well as simple linear regression tests with the help of SPSS software. The results of the analysis showed that the use of Instagram had a positive and significant influence on the fulfillment of patient information needs, with a determination coefficient value of 46.8%. These findings indicate that almost half of patients' information needs are met through the clinic's Instagram account, while the rest are influenced by other factors such as in-person consultations, verbal communication, or alternative media. The conclusion of this study is that Instagram is an effective medium in conveying health information that is relevant, easily accessible, and timely. The practical implications of the results of this study are the need to optimize Instagram's content strategy, including improving visual quality, consistency of upload schedules, and interactivity with followers. In addition, the use of other digital platforms is also recommended to expand the reach of information and increase patient trust and satisfaction with clinic services.

Abstract

Advances in digital technology in global competition are encouraging Generation Z to develop competencies in digital marketing. Therefore, through the ‘Gen Z Melek Digital’ training at SMK Darul Ulum – Rangkasbitung, Banten, digital literacy among students can be strengthened. The objective of this study is to encourage the formation of a mindset about digital entrepreneurship, particularly in vocational schools, by increasing interest in digital business through online platforms. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach using data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation during the training. The research subjects are 12th grade students at SMK Darul Ulum – Rangkasbitung, Banten. The findings indicate that this enhancement plays a crucial role in preparing Generation Z to adapt to technological advancements aligned with industry needs. This training program is effective in improving students’ understanding of digital marketing, social media optimization strategies, and practical content creation skills. Based on these findings, digital literacy enhancement for Gen Z can be conducted continuously by collaborating with industry as a support for practical learning.

Abstract

Public services at the village level are the starting point for interaction between the government and the community. Problems that often arise, such as a lack of professionalism among officials, misunderstandings, and unclear information, can lead to public dissatisfaction. This study aims to identify the forms of interpersonal communication used by Terondol Village officials in public services, as well as the communication strategies used to handle complaints. Using descriptive qualitative methods through interviews, observations, and documentation with 1 key informant and 3 secondary informants, the study found that officials use friendly, open communication that is tailored to the character of the local community. Communication strategies include empathy, the use of simple language, and the delivery of clear and transparent solutions. Good communication has been proven to build trust, increase satisfaction, reduce conflict, and strengthen the image of the institution. This study confirms that interpersonal communication plays a significant role in the success and improvement of public service quality at the village level. Furthermore, the study highlights the importance of adapting communication strategies to the needs and expectations of the community. Therefore, the application of effective communication strategies that align with the characteristics of the community is a key factor in creating better and more satisfying public services. The findings suggest that strengthening communication training for village officials could further enhance service delivery and community engagement.

Abstract

The commitment of student organization members is influenced by the communication patterns they employ. The Chitraswara Rasika Cabinet Student Choir of Bina Bangsa University faces challenges in maintaining the active participation of its members. This research used descriptive qualitative methods with Herbert Blumer's symbolic interactionism theory. The results indicate that two-way communication, emotional involvement, and organizational symbols strengthen affective and normative commitment. The main obstacles are sudden information and minimal feedback. It is recommended that organizations establish more transparent and participatory communication to maintain member commitment.

Abstract

This study analyzes the public relations efforts of Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) Banten in maintaining its existence in the digital era and identifies the inhibiting factors faced. Using a qualitative method with a case study approach, this research involved in-depth interviews with informants from various divisions at RRI Banten, as well as observations of the communication strategies and programs implemented. The results of the study indicate that RRI Banten has undertaken a significant digital transformation, including through the development of the RRI Digital application as a means to expand broadcast access, active use of social media to reach a wider audience, and the implementation of a broadcast program segmentation strategy to adapt to the needs and preferences of listeners from various groups. However, the study also identified several crucial inhibiting factors. Limited human resources, particularly in mastery of digital technology, remain a major obstacle in optimizing the transformation program. In addition, the uneven geographic coverage of broadcasts in some areas limits public access to RRI services. Increasingly fierce competition with other digital media that offer greater flexibility, speed, and interactivity also poses a major challenge. On the other hand, the lack of optimal digital promotion and difficulties in reaching the interests of the younger generation hamper the increase in RRI's popularity in the era of media digitalization.

Abstract

The film Home Sweet Loan depicts the reality of the lives of young people who face economic and psychological pressures due to the double burden of family. The character of Kaluna represents the sandwich generation, a generation that must meet the needs of both generations, parents and the nuclear family. This study aims to analyze the meaning of denotation, connotation, and myth in this film, as well as how the representation of the sandwich generation is formed through narrative and visual symbols. The approach used is Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis, which divides meaning into three levels: denotative, connotative, and myth. Data were obtained through observation of the film, visual documentation and dialogue, and interviews with semiotics experts and film practitioners. The results show that the film Home Sweet Loan presents a layered meaning that reflects the dilemma of the sandwich generation, especially young women. The representation of the sandwich generation is formed through symbols and narratives that highlight the conflict between personal interests and responsibilities to the family. This film not only reflects reality but also functions as an ideological medium that shapes society's perspective on the role of the younger generation in the modern family. Through the character of Kaluna, the film depicts the pressures experienced by individuals in this position, including the challenge of maintaining a balance between personal ambition and obligations to the family. Thus, this film conveys a message about the importance of balancing personal interests and social demands within the family.
