Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out whether there was an effect of the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) Learning Model on Students' Creative Thinking Ability in SPLDV Material at SMP Negeri 1 PANEI which consisted of 30 students. This study uses a type of quantitative research with the Pra-Experimental design research method. The population in this study was class VIII with 7 classes at SMP Negeri 1 PANEI with 210 students. The number of samples taken was 30 students, namely class VIII-E Data collection techniques used pre-test and post-test. The results of the study were to find out how much influence the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) Learning Model had on Students' Creative Thinking Ability in SPLDV Material at SMP Negeri 1 PANEI. The ability to think creatively based on the pre-test and post-test questions is high with an average score of 68,16 and 83,16.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning learning model on students' ability to understand mathematical concepts in Class XI of Private High School Nommensen Pematangsiantar Campus T.A 2022/2023. In this study there is a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students who use the Problem Based Learning learning model and conventional learning models. The population in this study were all students of class XI at the Nommensen Pematangsiantar Private High School, namely 64 people, and the samples in this study were two classes, namely class XI-PMIA as the experimental class and class XI-PIIS as the control class. The research instrument given to the sample is significant, because by using the moment product formula the lowest validity coefficient calculation results are obtained 0.598 (sufficient validity) and the highest validity coefficient is 0.870 (very high validity) so that each test item is valid, using the alpha formula for the test is obtained the results of the calculation of the test reliability coefficient were 0.781 and when compared with rtable with a significant level α = 0.05 and n = 32, it was obtained rtable = 0.361 it turned out that rcount > rtable then the instrument was reliable. This research was conducted on 64 students, the learning outcomes of students who used the Problem Based Learning learning model obtained an average of 64.438, variance of 41.197. The learning outcomes of students using conventional learning models obtained an average of 60.438, a variance of 39.729. From the results of the calculation of the hypothesis test, zcount > ztable is (2.515 > 1.960). Then it is concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that the Problem Based Learning learning model influences the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts.

Abstract

Community service activities in the form of outreach are carried out at the Patmos Learning House which aims to enable teaching staff at the learning home to make and use E-Modules in the learning process being carried out. Making E-Modules for learning mathematics can increase the competence of educators in developing and implementing them in the learning process. The dissemination of community service in this form of socialization is that educators in providing effective and efficient learning can attract and stimulate students' creativity to improve the learning process in schools in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. The results of this socialization found that the creation and use of E-Modules could improve the quality of students' abilities. The results of this activity are 1) teachers become more confident and motivated to use technology, 2) teachers can design and create simple interesting learning E-Modules according to the themes and needs of students 3) teachers can design interactive videos and involve children in learning.

Abstract

The aim of implementing teaching and learning is to achieve learning achievement, both in terms of process and in achieving results which are always influenced by various factors. In teaching students, teachers have the ability to organize and handle students in learning, so that when studying students can follow the lesson well. In this case, teachers really need basic teaching skills. The aim of this community service is to find out about the essence of basic teaching skills. Basic teaching skills have several aspects of skills including: 1) skills to open and close lessons, 2) skills to explain, 3) skills to ask questions, 4) skills to guide small group discussions, 5) skills to manage the class, 6) skills to provide reinforcement, 7) skills holding variations, 8) small group and individual teaching skills.

Abstract

Writing textbooks is a skill that teachers should have to improve their professionalism. Teacher textbooks can be published and marketed in various formats. However, not many teachers are interested in writing textbooks. Several factors that hinder teacher motivation in writing textbooks include teachers' lack of understanding of book writing techniques, lack of ideas, and lack of free time. To overcome this, training in textbook preparation techniques is needed. This training and writing assistance will be provided by people who have experience making textbooks. The textbook writing training program consists of several activities, including socialization about textbook creation, training in textbook creation, mentoring in textbook creation and evaluation of the results of the training and mentoring. The aim of this PKM is to provide insight and skills in writing textbooks through training and assistance in writing textbooks for teachers or teaching staff at PATMOS learning homes. Apart from that, the results of this training produce textbook products that will be used in the PATMOS Learning home learning process with the hope of increasing children's reading literacy.
