Abstract

Temperature variation due to climate change can give greatest impact on potential evapotranspiration. Increase of temperature in Yogyakarta Special Region can increase potential evapotranspiration. It is necessary to study potential evapotranspiration as one of indication impact of climate change to its potential evapotranspiration. Potential evapotranspiration (PET) can be estimated applying Hargreaves and Samani (1982) that requires limited meteorological parameter. Therefore, this research aims are: a) to analyze daily PET in 3 gauge station of Merapi Aquifer System, b) to analyze variation PET in the 3 gauge stations of Merapi Aquifer System. The largest values of PET is in Barongan station, while the lowest is in Adisucipto station. It is probably because Adisucipto station is located in urban and crowded areas. PET values are mostly 1.98 mm/day in rainy season, while 1.67 mm/day in dry season. Mostly, the correlation coefficient is low in dry season for Pluyon, Barongan and Adisucipto stations suggesting that drier and warmer temperature due to climate change do not have large impact to PET. The 5-month moving average trend also confirm the relatively stable line of PET variation from January 2005 to December 2016 reflecting that climate change do not greatly impact on PET in Merapi Aquifer System.

Abstract

Soil organic matter and soil organic carbon is essential indication of soil carbon stock in terrestrial ecosystem particularly in peatland. Spatial distribution of soil organic carbon and soil organic matter is primary assessment to predict future soil condition under climate change traits. Barito Delta is one of peatland areas in Kalimantan Island that experiences urban expansion. It is necessary to assess distribution of soil organic carbon and soil organic matter to define the potential traits of urbanization and climate change to carbon stock condition in this delta. Therefore, the aim of this research is to analyze the distribution of soil organic matter and soil organic carbon in Barito Delta. Fieldwork measurement is performed to take sample of soil organic matter for each layer within 5 m soil depth. Inverse distance weighting interpolation is used to determine the spatial distribution of soil organic matter (SOM) and soil organic carbon (SOC) applying in R software. The value of SOM and SOC decrease along the increase of soil depth so that the largest percentage of SOM and SOC is in the first layer. Large value of SOM and SOC are mostly in the southern part of Barito Delta since it is bordered with sea water and downstream of rivers. The maximum value of SOM is ~12 % in the first layer, while 8.3 % of SOC in the first layer. Nevertheless, the value of SOC decrease in the near future, it is as indication Barito Delta contribute to carbon stock loss realizing to atmosphere that can rise greenhouse gasses and climate change.

Abstract

In learning physics, mastery of concepts is a basic element that must be mastered by students. This is because physics emphasizes understanding natural phenomena and abstract natural principles, so logical thinking is needed to understand this in depth. Without good concept mastery, students will experience obstacles to solving problems, understanding physical phenomena, and applying them in the context of everyday life. However, current learning has not been able to have a meaningful impact on students' concept mastery, especially in physics, which is considered an abstract subject. Therefore, innovations are needed related to learning models and media, one of which is the TGT type cooperative learning model assisted by PPT integrated Quizizz Paper Mode. The approach used in this research is quantitative. The method used is an experiment with a type of quasi-experimental design, namely a non-equivalent control group design. This research was conducted at SMAN Arjasa Jember in early 2025. Sample selection using nonprobability sampling type purposive sampling and obtained class XI-1 as the experimental class and class XI-2 as the control class. Before being given treatment, both classes were given a pretest to determine students' initial concept mastery. After the treatment, both classes were given a posttest and obtained a significance value smaller than 0.05, which showed a difference in concept mastery between the experimental and control classes. Thus, it can be concluded that the TGT type cooperative learning model assisted by PPT integrated Quizizz Paper Mode has a significant effect on the mastery of physics concepts in high school.

Abstract

Penelitialn ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap hasil belajar mata pelajaran IPAS siswa kelals IV di SD Negeri 2 Linggosari. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan Pre-Experimental Design dan desain One Group Pretest-Posttest. Sampel penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV yang berjumlah 17 orang. Instrumen penelitian divalidasi oleh ahli materi dan bahasa. Siswa diberikaln pretest sebelum perlakuan dan posttest setelah penerapan model PBL. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan nilai rata-rata dari pretest sebesar 40,00 menjadi 75,50 pada posttest. Uji normalitas dengan Shapiro–Wilk menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal. Selanjutnya, uji-t berpasangan menunjukkan thitung = 19,316 > ttalbel = 1,740 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga H₀ ditolak dan Hₐ diterima. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan model Problem Based Learning terhadap hasil belajar IPAS siswa kelas IV. Model PBL mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa melalui pembelajaran yang menekankan pemecahan masalah dan kerja kolaboratif.

Abstract

Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is a pathophysiological disorder characterized by pulmonary vascular remodeling and dysfunction, which may arise in various clinical contexts, particularly in association with cardiovascular and respiratory diseases. PH is characterized by a mean pulmonary arterial pressure (mPAP) exceeding 20 mmHg at rest as determined by hemodynamic assessment via right heart catheterization (RHC), which remains the gold standard for diagnosis. Transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) is recommended as a non-invasive screening tool for the initial evaluation of individuals presenting with symptoms, risk factors, or clinical suspicion of PH. Echocardiography enables the identification of pulmonary hypertension by assessing right ventricular (RV) dysfunction and increased RV pressure overload. A comprehensive assessment of the RV’s dimensions and function is essential in all individuals with PH, given that mortality in PH is correlated with the severity of RV dysfunction. While RHC remains the definitive diagnostic modality for PH, echocardiography provides a valuable, widely available, and non-invasive alternative for estimating pulmonary artery pressures, assessing RV function, and stratifying disease severity, in alignment with current guidelines from the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and the European Respiratory Society (ERS).

Abstract

Background: The worldwide incidence of congenital heart disease (CHD) is estimated at 1.2 million cases out of 135 million live births each year. Pulmonaryarterial hypertension (PAH) is a frequent complication of congenital heart disease (CHD), especially in patients with left-to-right shunt. Adult CHD (ACHD) and ACHD- PAH patients present to health facilities in late phase conditions, because the early- stage symptoms are very uncommon, as a result the treatmentbecomes more difficult with a poor prognosis. Until now, there’s no national registry of ACHD and ACHD- PAH in Indonesia. Aim: Describe the demographic characteristics, clinical presentation, supporting examination findings, management, complications, and outcomes of ACHD and ACHD-PAH populations in Malang. Methods: Left to Right Shunt and Pulmonary Hypertention Registry is an observational study of adult patients (aged ≥ 18 years) diagnosed with left to rightshunt CHD and PAH at Saiful Anwar Hospital Malang. This study evaluated patients from November 2022 - October 2023 consecutively. Patients underwent a series of examinations including clinical examination, ECG, chest X-ray, SMWT, laboratory examination, transthoracic echocardiography and right heart catheterization. Results: Total sample of this registry is 124 samples. The majority of sample is young adult woman and ASD is the most common ACHD defect. The majority of sample (83.0%) is with symptoms with NT pro BNP median is 548 (152.1 – 2550.5). The majority of sample was WHO functional class II Conclusion: LET SHINE Registry is the first ACHD and ACHD-PAH in East Java Province which depict demographic, clinical presentation, hemodynamicpresentation pf ACHD and ACHD-PAH patient.

Abstract

Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) is the primary acute metabolic complication of diabetes mellitus (DM), specifically type 2 DM. Individuals with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) have a twice-higher incidence compared to non-diabetic individuals. In people with DM, ACS is responsible for 75% of mortality. This case report investigates a 34-year-old female patient who presented at the Emergency Department of Saiful Anwar Malang Hospital with acute gastrointestinal symptoms of diarrhea and moderate to severe dehydration. Patients with a history of type 2 DM were first diagnosed at the age of 28. The laboratory tests indicated the presence of high blood sugar levels, metabolic acidosis, and ketone-positive. During DKA hydration management, patients have atypical angina with ECG changes from sinus tachycardia to episodic Total AV Block (TAVB) spontaneous termination, increased cardiac enzyme HS (high-sensitivity) Troponin I. Patients diagnosed with acute Non-elevated Segment ST Myocardial Infarction (NSTEMI) very high risk criteria. The patient performed an immediate invasive strategy and promptly identified stenosis in three coronary arteries, with the target lesion being in the Right Coronary Artery (RCA). Subsequently, a drug-eluting stent was implanted in the osteal to mid RCA. Efficient and timely management strategies that prioritize accuracy and simultaneous therapy for cases of DKA and NSTEMI to achieve optimal outcomes.

Abstract

Developing national character through character education in schools is a mission aligned with the vision for the Indonesian nation. The goal of democratic and high-quality national education is to cultivate individuals with strong moral character, creativity, innovation, a sense of national pride, intelligence, health, discipline, responsibility, skills, and a good grasp of science and technology. Despite these goals, studies and interviews reveal that juvenile delinquency, often exceeding acceptable boundaries, still persists. Limited supervision contributes to problems such as school violence, further aggravated by a lack of family involvement. This study seeks to assess the impact of Pancasila and Citizenship Education in shaping student character, drawing on interviews with teachers and students, as well as school observations.

Abstract

Indonesia menjadi negara dengan wilayah lautan terluas di dunia. Sehingga air laut di Indonesia dapat dimanfaatkan menjadi berbagai sumber energi, salah satunya energi listrik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa berpotensi sumber energi air laut di indonesia sebagai alternatif energi listrik. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif merupakan penelitian yang mendeskripsikan keadaan dan hasil yang diperoleh secara menyeluruh. Sedangkan untuk teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode literature review. Berdasarkan pengumpulan data didapatkan hasil bahwa energi air laut di Indonesia dapat berpotensi sebagai alternative energi listrik. Sumber energi air laut di Indonesia dibagi menjadi 4 yakni air laut, suhu air laut, gelombang air laut dan arus air laut. Ke empat sumber energi tersebut dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai alternative energi listrik menggunakan bantuan teknologi. Teknologi ini berupa Thermal Energi Conversion (OTEC), Marine Current Turbine dan Oscillating Water Column (OWC). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yakni sumber energi air laut di Indonesia berpotensi sebagai alternatif energi listrik menggunakan bantuan teknologi akan tetapi tidak semua dapat dibangun teknologi yang sama karena setiap wilayah memiliki energi laut yang berbeda.

Abstract

Pulsed Electric Field (PEF) merupakan cara menginaktivasi mikroba tanpa merubah ciri khas produk pangan serta menjaga kandungan gizi pangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menggali kelebihan teknologi kejut listrik yang dapat dikembangkan di industri pangan Indonesia. Dengan metode kualitatif, peneliti menganalisis penelitian teknologi kejut listrik yang telah dilakukan oleh peneliti dan ahli pangan sebelumnya pada beberapa makanan/minuman olahan. Hasil penelitian membuka jalan baru bagi dunia industri pangan untuk mengawetkan pangan dengan cara yang aman, mengurangi penggunaan bahan kimia berbahaya, serta memeriksa kualitas makanan/minuman olahan sebelum akhirnya didistribusikan ke masyarakat.
