Abstract

The implementation of supervision plays an important role in the world of education, especially related to improving and enhancing the personality competence of teachers. This study aims to determine the planning, implementation, evaluation and follow-up of madrasah head supervision in improving the personality competence of teachers of Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Negeri 4 West Aceh. This research uses a qualitative approach with research subjects as many as 5 informants. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation, while data analysis techniques use data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing or data verification flow. The results of this study indicate that: 1) the planning of madrasah head supervision in improving teachers' personality competence is carried out through meetings with the entire board of teachers, preparation of the supervision agenda (supervision schedule), division of tasks and socialization of supervision instruments related to fostering teacher personality. 2) the implementation of madrasah head supervision in improving teachers' personality competence is carried out by conducting classroom visits, conducting observations, guiding teachers' personalities, holding meetings, group discussions and holding trainings. 3) Evaluation and follow-up of supervision results in improving teachers' personality competence is carried out in the form of an assessment from the madrasah head to the teacher, assessment among fellow teachers and assessment from students

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how the steps of implementing a collaborative-based learning model in improving the quality of learning fiqh lessons. This type of research is qualitative library research with a literature review approach, with data collection techniques through documents in the form of books, journals, articles, and other documents. Data analysis by means of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. In analyzing the data, the researcher juxtaposes it with several other studies so that the content is more accurate and in-depth to the results of the discussion. The results showed that the steps of implementing a collaborative-based learning model in improving the quality of learning fiqh lessons were carried out through five stages, including: the first stage of developing fiqh subject matter in accordance with learning objectives, the second stage of forming study groups to discuss and analyze the concepts of fiqh material, the third stage using collaborative learning strategies, including: project-based learning, research-based learning and case-based learning, the fourth stage using digital technology as creating an online digital learning platform and collaboration applications to facilitate discussion and cooperation activities, and the fifth stage evaluating student learning outcomes to determine the level of effectiveness of the collaborative learning model. The findings of this research are expected to be able to add insight to educators, and educational practitioners in implementing collaborative learning models in improving the quality of learning fiqh lessons in madrasah/schools.

Abstract

This study aims to develop independence-based learning management in improving student learning achievement. Using library research method with literature review approach in analyzing data and information about independence-based learning management in improving student learning achievement. The result of the research shows that the management of independence-based learning is implemented in ways: the first stage determines clear and specific learning objectives to improve student learning achievement, the second stage develops effective and efficient learning plans to achieve learning objectives, in the third stage uses digital technology to support the self-learning process in improving student learning achievement, the fourth stage guides and accompanies students in the self-learning process to ensure increased student learning achievement, in the fifth stage evaluates the self-learning process, and in the sixth stage develops strategies to improve student learning achievement. The findings of this study are expected to add insight to educators, and educational practitioners in developing independence-based learning management in improving student achievement.

Abstract

Leadership commitment in building a positive and productive work culture can improve the quality of performance of educational organizations. This study aims to describe and analyze leadership commitment in building the work culture of educational organizations. This research uses a qualitative approach with a library research study method by conducting a literature review in analyzing data and information about leadership commitment in building the work culture of educational organizations. The results of this study indicate that leadership commitment in building the work culture of educational organizations, including: 1) commitment to the vision and mission of the organization by developing the vision and mission, communicating the vision and mission to all members of the organization, integrating the vision and mission into all aspects of organizational activities and evaluating and updating the vision and mission regularly, 2) commitment to building a solid work team by carrying out activities that increase the job satisfaction of team members and activities that support and improve the quality of work results, 3) commitment to work innovation by carrying out activities to develop and implement new and creative ideas, as well as activities to implement processes and use new technology and provide opportunities for team members to implement new and creative ideas, and 4) commitment to improvement and change. and 4) commitment to continuous improvement and change by implementing continuous improvement and change activities by work team members, and activities that can increase job satisfaction of education organization team members

Abstract

The development of a competency-based literacy curriculum is a response to the challenges of the 4.0 industrial revolution era. Teachers still believe that the implementation of reading literacy is the responsibility of Indonesian language teachers, while numeracy literacy is the responsibility of mathematics teachers. Theoretically, the development of a competency-based reading and numeracy literacy curriculum is the responsibility of all subject teachers taught at madrasahs. This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of a competency-based literacy curriculum at the MTsS Nurul Falah Aceh Barat boarding school madrasah. This study uses a qualitative case study approach to examine and analyze in depth and detail the competency-based literacy curriculum. The reason for choosing this qualitative case study method is to strengthen the contextual relevance to the phenomenon being studied. The research subjects consisted of the madrasah principal, vice principal for academic affairs, boarding school leader, and teachers at MTsS Nurul Falah in West Aceh Regency. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The data were then analyzed by transcribing, taking notes, and examining documents to generate ideas, coding the data, developing themes, interpreting information, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the curriculum has integrated reading literacy and numeracy, but its implementation is still not optimal, so that students' literacy skills remain low. A literacy-based curriculum has very significant implications for efforts to develop an effective curriculum and for the sustainable development of students' skills. The practical contribution of this study is to help improve the quality of learning practices by providing a range of information related to methods and strategies for implementing a literacy-based curriculum. Meanwhile, the theoretical contribution is to assist in the development of a better and more comprehensive theory of reading literacy and numeracy in an effort to improve understanding and the quality of the application of a literacy competency-based curriculum in the learning process at boarding schools.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the swarm-based learning management model in enhancing the quality of Arabic language learning, focusing on the development of collaboration, communication, adaptation, flexibility, critical and creative thinking skills, as well as the integration of digital technology in the Arabic learning process. The research employs a library research method using a literature review approach to analyze data and information related to swarm-based learning management in enhancing Arabic learning quality. The findings indicate that swarm-based learning management is implemented through the following stages: The first stage involves determining the components of swarm-based learning management, which include setting learning objectives, grouping students, organizing the learning environment, utilizing digital technology, scheduling, and evaluation. The second stage involves defining the steps of swarm-based learning management, including initiation, grouping, task organization, supervision, and evaluation. The third stage involves establishing strategies for swarm-based learning management, including project-based learning strategies, research-based learning strategies, and case-based learning strategies. The results of this study are expected to provide new insights for educators and educational practitioners in the field of Arabic language education to develop more relevant and effective learning strategies in the current era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0.

Abstract

Effective and efficient school administration is highly desired by all parties, including stakeholders and education customers. However, in reality, school principals still use their authority in decision-making, so that the decisions made do not reflect joint decisions in school administrative order. The purpose of this study is to determine how school principals make decisions in school administrative order. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature review approach to examine and analyze previous studies relevant to the topic being researched, with the following steps: first, the researcher searches for or collects data sources and information; second, the researcher assessed the sources that had been found, third, the researcher analyzed the data and information to answer the research questions, and fourth, the researcher compiled a journal manuscript concept from all the results of the analysis of the data and information that had been collected. The results of the study show that, first, the principal's decision-making process is carried out through problem identification, analysis of the existing situation, development of alternatives, analysis of alternatives, and selection of the best alternative. Second, the factors that influence the principal in decision-making are position or status, problems that arise, situation, conditions, and objectives to be achieved in decision-making. Third, the styles used by principals in making decisions regarding school administrative order are the directive style, analytical style, conceptual style, and behavioral style. Fourth, the impact of decision making is greatly influenced by the principal's ability to make decisions appropriately and contextually in accordance with the stages of an effective decision-making process. Practical contributions can help improve the principal's capacity in decision-making by providing various information related to decision-making for school administrative order. Meanwhile, theoretical contributions can help develop better and more comprehensive decision-making theories in the effort to maintain school administrative order

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan keagamaan kepada mualaf di Aceh Barat sebagai upaya penguatan akidah dan integrasi sosial. Latar belakang kegiatan ini didasarkan pada kebutuhan mualaf akan bimbingan keislaman yang sistematis dan berkelanjutan, baik dalam aspek pemahaman dasar agama maupun kemampuan praktik ibadah. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 4 sampai 5 April 2024 bertempat di Meunasah Al-Bayan Gampong Ujong Kalak, Kecamatan Johan Pahlawan, Kabupaten Aceh Barat, dengan melibatkan dosen STAIN Teungku Dirundeng Meulaboh sebagai pendamping utama. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan edukatif dan partisipatif melalui dua bentuk kegiatan utama, yaitu pendampingan belajar metode Iqra’ dan Al-Qur’an serta pendampingan penguatan nilai-nilai ajaran agama Islam yang meliputi akidah, ibadah, dan akhlak. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan mualaf dalam membaca Iqra’ dan Al-Qur’an, serta meningkatnya pemahaman dan keyakinan keagamaan yang berdampak positif terhadap kepercayaan diri dan praktik keislaman peserta. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga mendorong terciptanya interaksi sosial yang lebih harmonis antara mualaf dan masyarakat sekitar. Dengan demikian, pendampingan keagamaan yang terstruktur dan humanis terbukti efektif dalam memperkuat akidah mualaf sekaligus mendukung proses integrasi sosial mereka di lingkungan masyarakat Aceh Barat.
