Abstract

This research is motivated by students' lack of understanding of social values. Students' lack of ability to understand social values ​​is evident when students misbehave with other students, creating conflicts. The implementation of social values ​​is facilitated using flash card media, which can arouse students' interest and attention in learning social values. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of flashcard media on students' understanding of social values ​​in fourth grade. This study uses a quantitative approach in a pre-experimental study using a single-group pre-test-post-test design. Fourth grade students participated in the current study, the sample of which was 20 children. The data collection method used was a test in the form of a pre-test, post-test and direct observation and documentation. Using a statistical analysis method with a formula is a paired sample test. Based on the results of the paired sample test, Sig (2-tailed) < 0.05 received a total of 0.000 < 0.05. Thus, when deciding for a paired sample test, one can conclude that h0 is rejected and ha is accepted. This means that it can be concluded that flashcard media affects the understanding ability of social values ​​of fourth grade students of Hang Tuah 10 Juanda Primary School

Abstract

Sejalan dengan perkembangan Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi dalam bidang pendidikan, saat ini penggunaan alat bantu atau media pembelajaran menjadi semakin luas dan interaktif dengan dukungan Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK). Media pembelajaran berbasis TIK sangat relevan dengan perkembangan zaman terutama terkait Era Revolusi Industri 4.0 yang menuntut peserta didik peka terhadap keterbukaan informasi, komputerisasi, komputasi, dan automasi. Untuk itu, berpijak pada pentingnya penerapan media pembelajaran berbasis TIK, tim dosen PGSD Adi Buana Surabaya melakukan suatu kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan materi media pembelajaran tematik berbasis TIK bagi Guru SD Hang Tuah X Sedati. Metode pelaksanaan workshop adalah dengan presentasi, pemodelan dan simulasi disertai tugas. Presentasi merupakan sebuah metode penyampaian materi secara sistematis oleh pemateri tanpa menggunakan banyak media. Bahan presentasi adalah tentang penyusunan perangkat pembelajaran teematik berbasis TIK. Berakhirnya pelaksanaan program PPM Program Studi PGSD Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya bagi Guru SD Hang Tuah X Sedati ini dapat menyelesaikan permasalahan guru dalam merancang dan mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis TIK di SD, serta mengelaborasi pembelajaran berdasarkan kurikulum merdeka belajar.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan teknologi komunikasi untuk kegiatan pendidikan, teknologi pendidikan, serta media pendidikan perlu dalam rangka belajar mengajar. Perkembangan teknologi yang dimaksud salah satunya adalah media yang berbasis video pembelajaran sebagai alat bantu dalam penyampaian materi atau referensi yang digunakan guru maupun perserta didik. Tujuan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PPM) ini adalah memberikan pelatihan dan workshop pengembangan video pembelajaran sederhana bagi guru SDN Sumur Welut III/440 Surabaya. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan secara offline di ruang pertemuan SDN Sumur Welut III/440 Surabaya. Metode pelaksanaan workshop adalah dengan presentasi, pemodelan dan simulasi disertai tugas. Hasil kegiatan Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PPM) ini, yaitu: (1) kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini terlaksana dengan sangat baik; (2) meningkatnya kreativitas guru dalam pengembangan video pembelajaran sederhana.

Abstract

Abstract: PISA 2022 results for mathematics literacy in figure 1 show an increase of 5 positions, scientific literacy in figure 2 shows an increase of 6 positions and reading literacy shows an increase of 5 positions compared to PISA 2018. The results of interviews with 10 teachers in Gresik district stated that teachers experienced difficulty in composing HOTS type questions and confusion between Bloom's taxonomy and Anderson's taxonomy. Teachers experience difficulty in compiling HOTS type objective questions. This is a very urgent problem and needs to be addressed immediately. For this purpose, the PGSD community service team at PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya University carried out community service for the Gresik Elementary School Teacher Working Group (KKG) in the Gresik area, providing a workshop on preparing HOTS questions and evaluating them. A total of 24 representative teachers from schools throughout Gresik district attended the event. At the end of the activity, a response questionnaire will be given regarding the implementation of the workshop activities. The results obtained were that the teacher was able to create questions with the help of these operational verbs well, the Context Dependent Item Sets prepared by the teacher had the theme of Traditional Markets, Parks, Culture and Malls, and more than 50% of workshop participants had experienced an increase in understanding about compiling HOTS material.            Keywords: high order thinking skill; context dependent item sets Abstrak: Hasil PISA 2022 literasi matematika pada gambar 1 menunjukkan kenaikan 5 posisi, literasi sains pada gambar 2 menunjukkan kenaikan 6 posisi dan literasi membaca menunjukkan kenaikan 5 posisi dibandingkan PISA 2018.  Hasil wawancara 10 orang guru di kabupaten Gresik menyatakan bahwa guru mengalami kesulitan dalam menyusun soal bertipe HOTS dan bingung membedakan taksonomi Bloom dan taksonomi Anderson. Guru mengalami kesulitan dalam menyusun soal objektif bertipe HOTS. Hal ini merupakan masalah yang sangat urgent dan perlu segera ditanggani. Untuk kepentingan tersebut di atas tim pengabdian masyarakat PGSD Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya melakukan pengabdian masyarakat bagi Kelompok Kerja Guru (KKG) Sekolah Dasar wilayah Gresik memberikan workshop penyusunan soal HOTS dan evaluasinya. Sebanyak 24 guru perwakilan dari sekolah se-kabupaten Gresik hadir dalam acara tersebut. Di akhir kegiatan akan diberikan angket respon berkaitan dengan pelaksanaan kegiatan workshop. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah guru dapat membuat soal dengan bantuan kata kerja operasional tersebut dengan baik, Context Dependent Item Sets yang disusun guru bertema Pasar Tradisional, Taman, Budaya dan Mall, dan lebih dari 50% peserta workshop telah mengalami peningkatan pemahaman tentang menyusunan materi HOTS. Kata kunci: high order thinking skill; context dependent item sets

Abstract

The development of learning models can be adapted to the conditions and needs of the learning process so that the atmosphere in the class is not easily bored, students quickly receive learning material and improve cognitive learning styles in solving student problems. This research is a quantitative study with a Quasi Experimental Post-test Only Control Group Design. Participants were 21 students in each class IV-A and IV-B. The data collection technique was in the form of a HOTS question description test after being treated (having carried out the learning process using the scramble method) and the results of observations regarding students' cognitive style ( Field Independent and Field Dependent). Data analysis techniques used the normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis testing with the help of SPSS version 25. The results showed that (1) there was an influence of the Scramble learning model on the problem solving abilities of science subjects seen from the Cognitive Style of elementary school students (2) Cognitive Style was effective in the scramble learning model because there is an interaction between the scramble learning model and cognitive style on the problem solving abilities of fourth grade students in science subjects. Thus it can be concluded that "There is an Influence of the Scramble Learning Model on the Ability to Solve Problems in Science Subjects Viewed from the Cognitve Style of Elementary School Students".

Abstract

Keterampilan berkomunikasi di era society 5.0 ini sangat diperlukan oleh calon generasi penerus bangsa dalam segala aspek kehidupan, termasuk dalam bidang pendidikan dimana keterampilan berkomunikasi akan mendorong tercapainya keberhasilan dalam belajar. Namun, keterampilan berkomunikasi peserta didik masih rendah dengan salah satu faktor penyebabnya adalah model pembelajaran yang monoton. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Auditory, Intellectually, Repetition (AIR) terhadap keterampilan berkomunikasi di SD. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain pra-eksperimen menggunakan metode one group pre-test-post-test design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas V di SDN Sumur Welut III/440 Surabaya dengan jumlah 40 anak. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik dengan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji hipotesis (Paired Sample t-Test) sebagai uji prasyarat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh dari model pembelajaran Auditory, Intellectually, dan Repetition (AIR) terhadap keterampilan berkomunikasi peserta didik. Model pembelajaran Auditory, Intellectually, dan Repetition (AIR) menekankan bahwa belajar haruslah memanfaatkan semua alat indera yang dimiliki siswa sehingga siswa aktif dalam pembelajaran dan meningkatkan keterampilan berkomunikasi yang dimiliki.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the challenges faced by teachers in teaching mathematics in inclusive elementary school classrooms and the solution strategies implemented to overcome these challenges. Teaching mathematics in inclusive classrooms involves students with diverse abilities, including students with special needs, which complicates the learning process. The research method used was descriptive qualitative, with data collected through in-depth interviews and observations of several teachers teaching in inclusive elementary school classrooms. The results indicate that the main challenges faced by teachers include differences in academic ability levels among students, limited resources, complex classroom management, difficulties in managing the behavior of students with special needs, and a lack of adequate training and support for teachers. Teachers face challenges in adapting teaching materials and teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, which impacts learning effectiveness. Furthermore, limited access to appropriate tools and technology is also a hindering factor. To overcome these challenges, teachers implement various solution strategies, such as using more flexible teaching methods and collaborating with support staff and specialists to provide more attention to students with special needs.

Abstract

AbstractResearch conducted by the "We Are Social" institution shows that Indonesian people are a significant resource in utilizing the internet. The ability of Indonesian elementary school students in using digital technology is quite good; however, its use is primarily for entertainment. Observing this phenomenon, researchers have taken the initiative to harness digital technology to enhance the learning experience, moving away from conventional methods. This study aims to investigate how elementary school students perceive STEM-Based Mobile Learning Application Technology. The research method used for this study is qualitative, emphasizing discourse analysis and conversational analysis. Participants in this study included ten fifth-grade elementary school students in the city of Cirebon. The results of the study have been quite positive, as this application makes it convenient for students to study anywhere and at any time, as long as their smartphones are connected to the internet. Nonetheless, the use of STEM-Based Mobile Learning Application Technology has received feedback regarding its limitations and weaknesses, such as the small screen, which makes it challenging for users to read text.Keywords: mobile learning application, STEM, elementary school students.AbstrakRiset yang dilakukan oleh lembaga We Are Social menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat Indonesia merupakan sumber daya yang sangat besar dalam mendayagunakan internet. Kemampuan siswa Sekolah Dasar Indonesia sudah cukup baik dalam menggunakan teknologi digital. Namun pemanfaatannya masih bersifat hiburan. Melihat fenomena tersebut, peneliti berinisiatif untuk memanfaatkan teknologi digital untuk memfasilitasi pembelajaran sehingga tidak lagi bersifat konvensional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana persepsi Siswa Sekolah Dasar terhadap Teknologi Aplikasi Mobile Learning Berbasis STEM. Metode yang digunakan untuk jenis penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif. menekankan pada fokus analisis wacana dan analisis percakapan Partisipan dalam penelitian ini yaitu melibatkan sepuluh siswa sekolah dasar kelas lima di kota Cirebon. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu Mendapatkan respon yang postif karena apliaksi ini memberikan kemudahan siswa untuk belajar dimanapun dan kapanpun asalkan smartphone mereka terhubung dengan internet. Namun penggunan Teknologi Aplikasi Mobile Learning Berbasis STEM juga mendapatkan respon terkiat kelemahan atau kekurangannya yaitu memiliki keterbatasan seperti perangkat lainnya diantaranya yaitu layarnya kecil sehingga pengguna kesulitan untuk membaca teks.Kata kunci: aplikasi mobile learning, STEM, siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

: low numeracy literacy ability of students is a particular concern considering that in this 21st-century learning, students should have mastered this ability. The problem-based learning models is a learning model that presents a contextual problems so that students can be directly involved in the problem-solving process. Thus, this study aims to determine the effect of the problem-based learning model on the numeracy literacy skills of elementary school students. The research method used by researchers is a pre-experiment with one group pretest and posttest design using a quantitative approach. The sample in this study was eleven students in fifth grade at Waru Timur 2 Pamekasan Madura state elementary school. Data collection was carried out by administering tests (pretest and posttest) regarding students’ numeracy literacy abilities. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, prerequisite tests, and hypothesis testing with paired samples test. Based on the results of data processing, it is known that there is a significant influence of the use of problem-based learning models on students’ numeracy literacy skills. That is because learning is student-centered so that students can be directly involved in problem-solving

Abstract

Writing essays with a descriptive structure is one of the basic competencies. A descriptive essay is a true depiction of objects or events so that the reader feels what the writer feels in the story. However, the level of students' ability to write descriptive essays is still low given the lack of understanding in writing descriptions so it is difficult to find ideas to translate into written form, and the choice of vocabulary is not quite right in constructing sentences. Therefore, this study aims to determine whether there is an influence of the project-based learning model assisted by mind mapping on students' descriptive essay writing skills. The method of this research is Quasi Experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. Quasi experiment was conducted to determine the effect of a treatment on the subject under study. The research subjects were 50 students of class fourth-grade at Dukuh Menanggal I/424 Public Elementary School, Surabaya. Data analysis techniques using normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that there was an influence of the Mind Mapping-assisted Project Based Learning learning model on literacy skills in writing essay descriptions of grade IV students. In addition, with the help of Mind Mapping, can students learn motivation in writing descriptive essays because it helps focus students' minds in composing sentences into paragraphs.
