Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar peserta didik dan pelaksanaan kegiatan pembelajaran masih berpusat kepada guru. Tujuan penelitian: (1) Mendeskripsikan proses pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Two Stay Two Stray, (2) Mendeskripsikan kualitas pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Two Stay Two Stray, (3) Mendeskripsikan hasil belajar peserta didik dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Two Stay Two Stray. Lokasi penelitian di SMA Negeri 1 Lotu. Hasil penelitian: (1) Proses pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Two Stay Two Stray pada Siklus I yaitu 55,64% tergolong kurang dan Siklus II yaitu 77,70% tergolong baik. (2) Kualitas pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Two Stay Two Stray di SMA Negeri 1 Lotu pada Siklus I sebesar 66,32% tergolong cukup dan Siklus II sebesar 84,52% tergolong baik. (3) Hasil belajar peserta didik di Siklus I sebesar 68,51 tergolong cukup dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar sebesar 62,86%, dan Siklus II nilai rata-ratanya sebesar 82,59 tergolong baik dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar sebesar 85,17%.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was motivated by students who were not actively involved in learning, teachers who still used lecture learning methods, and students' lack of understanding of concepts in learning. The type of research used is a qualitative descriptive approach. The research location is at SMP Negeri 1 Tuhemberua. The research population is class IX students in the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. Research instruments, namely: observation sheet on the effectiveness of the learning model, observation sheet on understanding concepts, and learning outcomes tests. Research results: (1) The effectiveness of the learning model in science learning at SMP Negeri 1 Tuhemberua was discovered that at Meeting 1 the percentage was 66.91% with "sufficient" criteria, at Meeting 2 the percentage was 78.41% with "good" criteria, and at Meeting 3 the percentage was 84. .09% with "good" criteria, so the average percentage of effectiveness of learning models in science learning is 76.14% with "good" criteria. (2) The students' ability to understand concepts in science learning was found at Meeting 1, the average percentage was 71.42% with the "sufficient" criteria, Meeting 2 obtained an average percentage of 75.62% with the "good" criteria, and Meeting 3 the average percentage was obtained. -The average percentage is 82.62% with "good" criteria, so the average percentage of students' conceptual understanding ability is 76.55% with "good" criteria. (3) Student learning outcomes in science learning obtained an average score of 80.15 with good criteria, and the percentage of students who completed their studies was 81.48% while the percentage who did not complete their studies was 18.52%. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh siswa yang kurang terlibat aktif dalam pembelajaran, guru yang masih menggunakan metode pembelajaran ceramah, dan kurangnya pemahaman konsep siswa dalam pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Lokasi penelitian yaitu di SMP Negeri 1 Tuhemberua. Populasi penelitian yaitu siswa kelas IX semester ganjil Tahun Pelajaran 2024/2025. Instrumen penelitian, yaitu: lembar observasi efektivitas model pembelajaran, lembar observasi pemahaman konsep, dan tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian: (1) Efektivitas model pembelajaran pada pembelajaran IPA di SMP Negeri 1 Tuhemberua diketahui pada Pertemuan 1 diperoleh persentasenya sebesar 66,91% dengan kriteria “cukup”, Pertemuan 2 diperoleh persentasenya sebesar 78,41% dengan kriteria “baik”, dan Pertemuan 3 diperoleh persentasenya sebesar 84,09% dengan kriteria “baik”, sehingga rata-rata persentase efektivitas model pembelajaran pada pembelajaran IPA sebesar 76,14% dengan kriteria “baik”. (2) Kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa pada pembelajaran IPA diketahui pada Pertemuan 1 diperoleh rata-rata persentasenya sebesar 71,42% dengan kriteria “cukup”, Pertemuan 2 diperoleh rata-rata persentasenya sebesar 75,62% dengan kriteria “baik”, dan Pertemuan 3 diperoleh rata-rata persentasenya sebesar 82,62% dengan kriteria “baik”, sehingga rata-rata persentase kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa sebesar 76,55% dengan kriteria “baik”. (3) Hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPA diperoleh nilai rata-ratanya sebesar 80,15 dengan kriteria baik, dan pesersentase siswa yang tuntas belajar sebesar 81,48% sedangkan persentase yang tidak tuntas belajar sebesar 18,52%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan aplikasi edmodo terhadap efektivitas pembelajaran mahasiswa pendidikan biologi. Penelitian ini merupakan experiment semu (Quasi Experimental Design). Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah posttest only control design. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh mahasiswa semester VI prodi pendidikan biologi IKIP Gunungsitoli angkatan 2020/2021 berjumlah 72 orang. Sampel terdiri dari 2 kelas dimana kelas 1 adalah kelas experimen dibelajarkan menggunakan aplikasi edmodo dan kelas 2 adalah kelas kontrol dibelajarkan tanpa menggunakan aplikasi edmodo. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi, angket dan soal posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunakan aplikasi Edmodo terhadap efektifitas pembelajaran, hasil tes menunjukkan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 84% pada kelompok yang menggunakan aplikasi Edmodo, sehingga dapat disimpulkan pembelajaran menggunakan aplikasi edmodo efektif dalam dalam kegiatan perkuliahan.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of modern biotechnology has brought fundamental changes to the field of healthcare, particularly through the application of genetic engineering, gene therapy, and genome-editing technologies such as CRISPR-Cas9. These innovations have opened significant opportunities for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of various genetic and degenerative diseases that were previously difficult to manage. Nevertheless, this progress has also generated serious challenges in the realm of bioethics, especially concerning patient safety, the limits of human intervention in life processes, the equitable distribution of technology, and the protection of human rights and dignity. This study aims to analyze the application of healthcare biotechnology from a bioethical perspective by emphasizing the relationship between scientific benefits and moral responsibility. The research method employed is a systematic literature review of scientific journals, bioethics textbooks, and relevant international policy documents. The analysis is conducted based on the four core principles of bioethics, namely beneficence, non-maleficence, autonomy, and justice. The findings indicate that healthcare biotechnology provides significant benefits in improving quality of life and the effectiveness of medical therapies; however, it also entails biological and social risks that cannot be overlooked. These risks include potential long-term effects that are not yet fully understood, the possibility of misuse of technology for non-medical purposes, and unequal access among different social groups. Therefore, the integration of bioethical principles into the research, development, and application of biotechnology is an urgent necessity to ensure that scientific progress advances in harmony with human values, social justice, and the sustainability of healthcare systems.

Abstract

The Treffinger learning model is a creative learning model oriented towards problem solving that provides opportunities for students to think creatively, work together, and relate learning concepts to real problems in their environment. The objectives of this study are (1) to determine whether there is an influence of the Treffinger learning model on the science learning outcomes of students at the UPTD of SMP Negeri 5 Gunugsitoli, (2) to determine the effectiveness of the Treffinger learning model on the science learning outcomes of students at the UPTD of SMP Negeri 5 Gunugsitoli. The type of research used is quantitative research with a pre-experimental method using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research sample was class VIII-D of SMP Negeri 5 Gunungsitoli, with the researcher acting directly as a teacher during the learning process. The research instruments were pretest and posttest, and learning devices based on the Treffinger model. Data analysis was carried out through the N-Gain test to determine the effectiveness of the Treffinger model and a hypothesis test (paired sample t-test) to test to determine the effect of the Treffinger model on learning outcomes. The results of the study showed that there was a significant increase in learning outcomes after the Treffinger learning model was implemented. The average value of student learning outcomes increased from a pretest score of 50 to a posttest score of 84 with a high effectiveness category based on the results of the N-Gain test. The hypothesis test also showed a significant value smaller than the p-value (0.00 < 0.05), so Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. Thus, the Treffinger learning model had a positive and significant effect on students' science learning outcomes at the UPTD of SMP Negeri 5 Gunungsitoli. ABSTRAK Model pembelajaran Treffinger merupakan model pembelajaran kreatif yang berorientasi pada pemecahan masalah yang memberikan kesempatan kepada peserta didik untuk berpikir kreatif, bekerja sama, serta mengaitkan konsep pembelajaran dengan permasalahan nyata di lingkungan mereka. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah (1)mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh model pembelajaran Treffinger terhadap hasil belajar IPA peserta didik di UPTD SMP Negeri 5 Gunugsitoli, (2) Untuk mengetahui Efektivitas model pembelajaran Treffinger terhadap hasil belajar IPA peserta didik di UPTD SMP Negeri 5 Gunugsitoli. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode pre-eksperimental menggunakan desain one-group pretest-Posttest design. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas VIII-D SMP Negeri 5 Gunungsitoli, dengan peneliti berperan langsung sebagai guru selama proses pembelajaran. Instrumen penelitian pretest dan posttest, dan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis model Treffinger. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji N-Gain untuk mengetahui efektivitas model Treffinger dan uji hipotesis (paired sample t-test) untuk menguji untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Treffingerter  terhadap hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar yang signifikan setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran Treffinger. Nilai rata-rata hasil belajar peserta didik meningkat dari skor pretest 50  ke Posttest 84  dengan kategori efektivitas tinggi berdasarkan hasil uji N-Gain. Uji hipotesis juga menunjukkan nilai signifikan lebih kecil dari pada p-value (0.00 < 0.05), sehingga Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Dengan demikian, bahwa model pembelajaran Treffinger berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar IPA peserta didik di UPTD SMP Negeri 5 Gunungsitoli.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low achievement of science learning outcomes of students at SMP Negeri 1 Hiliduho, which is still below the Minimum Completion Criteria due to the limited variety of learning resources and the dominance of conventional learning methods. This study aims to analyze the influence and effectiveness of the use of science teaching modules in improving students' cognitive competence. The method applied is quantitative with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design, where the research sample was determined through a purposive sampling technique among eighth-grade students. The data collection instrument used an objective test whose validity and reliability have been tested. The research findings show a statistically significant increase, evidenced by the Paired Sample t-test hypothesis test which produced a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05. In addition, there was an increase in the average score from 59.33 (pre-test) to 76.67 (post-test) with a jump in classical completeness from 3.3% to 80%. Effectiveness analysis using the N-Gain test showed an average score of 0.4202, which is in the moderate category (0.30 ? g < 0.70). The main conclusion of this study confirms that the implementation of science teaching modules has a significant positive impact and is proven effective in improving student learning outcomes. Therefore, it is recommended as a supporting teaching material to optimize the understanding of science concepts in schools. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya capaian hasil belajar IPA siswa di SMP Negeri 1 Hiliduho yang masih berada di bawah Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal akibat minimnya variasi sumber belajar dan dominasi metode pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh serta tingkat efektivitas penggunaan modul ajar IPA dalam meningkatkan kompetensi kognitif siswa. Metode yang diterapkan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest , di mana sampel penelitian ditentukan melalui teknik purposive sampling pada siswa kelas VIII. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan tes objektif yang telah teruji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan secara statistik, dibuktikan dengan uji hipotesis Paired Sample t-test yang menghasilkan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05. Selain itu, terjadi kenaikan rata-rata nilai dari 59,33 (pre-test) menjadi 76,67 (post-test) dengan lonjakan ketuntasan klasikal dari 3,3% menjadi 80%. Analisis efektivitas menggunakan uji N-Gain menunjukkan skor rata-rata 0,4202 yang berada pada kategori sedang (0,30 ? g < 0,70). Simpulan utama penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa implementasi modul ajar IPA memiliki pengaruh positif yang signifikan dan terbukti efektif dalam memperbaiki hasil belajar siswa, sehingga direkomendasikan sebagai bahan ajar pendukung untuk mengoptimalkan pemahaman konsep sains di sekolah.

Abstract

Hydrolytic enzymes such as amylase, lipase, and cellulase play a strategic role in various modern industrial sectors. Microorganisms isolated from forest soil and organic waste exhibit high enzyme production capabilities due to their ecological adaptation to complex substrates. This literature review examines the potential of local Indonesian microbes as a source of industrial enzymes through a systematic analysis of national research conducted during the 2015–2024 period. This study applies data analysis techniques including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing to synthesize the findings. Indonesian tropical forest soils harbor a diversity of enzyme-producing microbes with varying specific activities. Organic waste such as bagasse and fruit peels provide habitats for microbes capable of producing extracellular enzymes. The results of the literature synthesis indicate that bacterial and fungal isolates from both sources have commercial prospects for applications in the food, textile, bioenergy, and bioremediation industries. Optimizing culture conditions and large-scale production strategies are key to the successful utilization of local microbes. This study provides recommendations for further research leading to the industrialization of Indonesian microbe-based enzymes.

Abstract

Biotechnology education in secondary schools and universities still faces challenges in the form of high levels of student misconceptions, mainly due to the abstract nature of the material and the rapid development of technology. This study aims to identify common misconceptions in conventional and modern biotechnology material and analyse effective remediation strategies based on previous research findings. The research method used is a systematic literature review, through searching and analysing nationally and internationally accredited journal articles published between 2015 and 2025. The articles analysed were selected based on topic relevance, methodological quality, and relevance of findings. The results of the study show that the most dominant misconceptions arise in the understanding of the concept of anaerobic fermentation, the difference between cloning and IVF, and the impact of genetically modified organisms (GMOs). Remediation strategies that have proven effective include the use of Conceptual Change Text, the application of the Socio-Scientific Issues (SSI) approach, and the use of virtual laboratory simulations to help students reconstruct their understanding of concepts more accurately.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of agricultural biotechnology in improving the productivity, quality, and resilience of food crops as an effort to support sustainable agriculture. The method used is a systematic literature review of relevant national and international journal articles published between 2014 and 2025. The literature was analysed descriptively by grouping the findings based on aspects of increased productivity, crop quality, and crop resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses. The results of the analysis show that the application of biotechnology, such as genetic engineering through CRISPR-Cas9 and Agrobacterium transformation, tissue culture, and the use of functional microorganisms such as PGPR and mycorrhiza, has been proven to increase crop yields, improve nutritional content through biofortification, and increase crop resistance to pests, diseases, and environmental stress. These findings confirm that biotechnology has a significant contribution in producing superior plant varieties that are more adaptive and environmentally friendly. Thus, the integration of biotechnology into agricultural systems has the potential to become an important strategy in supporting food security and sustainable agricultural development.

Abstract

Degenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease, are global health problems with increasing prevalence and economic burden. This study aims to analyse the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in accelerating the drug discovery process, particularly in the development of targeted therapies for degenerative diseases. The research method used is a systematic literature review of national and international journal articles published between 2019 and 2024. The data were analysed qualitatively by examining the contribution of AI at various stages of drug discovery. The results of the study show that AI plays a significant role in molecular target identification, virtual screening, drug repurposing, and drug candidate optimisation, with a prediction accuracy rate ranging from 70–85%. The application of AI is reported to reduce drug discovery time by approximately 50% and development costs by up to 40%. The conclusions of this study confirm that AI is a strategic tool in modern pharmaceutical biotechnology development, although its implementation still requires further experimental validation, standardisation, and adequate data availability, particularly in the context of drug development in Indonesia
