Abstract

Environmental management in the Nyaru Menteng Arboretum Conservation area especially for the Kerangas forest has not been done much. This research was conducted to determine the analysis of vegetation in the Kerangas forest in the Arboretum conservation area. This research is expected to get the value of vegetation and important value index in the Kerangas forest, based on the results of the study there are 23 types of vegetation found at seedling level, 24 types of vegetation found at sapling level, 14 types of vegetation found on poles, 13 types of vegetation found at tree. Blumeodendron tokbrai vegetation has the highest value with a NIP value of 18,047 at the seedling level. Vegetation type Litsea sp. Has the highest value with a NIP value of 18,159 at the stake level. The vegetation type Syzygium lineatum, has the highest value with a NIP value of 44,584 at the pole level. Vegetation type Cratoxylon glaucum, has the highest value with a NIP value of 48,656 at the tree level.

Abstract

Pendampingan merupakan kegiatan penting yang menentukan keberhasilan keberhasilan revegetasi lahan gambut. Fasilitasi terhadap para pelaksana pendampingan atau tenaga pendamping diperlukan dalam mempersiapkan sumberdaya manusia yang akan mendampingi kegiatan revegetasi hutan gambut oleh masyarakat. Kegiatan fasilitasi ini dilakukan di desa Pulantani Kecamatan Haur Gading Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Utara Kalimantan Selatan. Jumlah tenaga pendamping yang difasilitasi sebanyak 7 orang. Hasil kegiatan fasilitasi Hasil evaluasi dari kegiatan pengabdian terhadap peserta tentang fasilitasi kegiatan pendampingan teknis revegetasi lahan gambut berdasarkan 3 aspek yang dinilai dikategorikan sangat baik.

Abstract

Biji Ketapang (Terminalia catappa L.) banyak terdapat di lingkungan selama ini dibiarkan berserakan menjadi sampah. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memfasilitasi pembuatan tepung biji Ketapang terhadap mitra kerjasama. Indikator capaian dari tujuan kegiatan adalah paling tidak 80% anggota mitra berminat dan memahami pelaksanaan kegiatan. Paling tidak terdapat 2 orang anggota mitra yang terindikasi memiliki keterampilan membuat tepung biji Ketapang sebagai bahan pengolahan aneka cake. Mitra kegiatan PKM ini adalah kelompok PKK Permata Hijau RT.011 RW.003 Banjarbaru Kalimantan Selatan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian adalah transfer iptek dalam bentuk sosialisasi dan demonstrasi pembuatan tepung dari biji Ketapang untuk pengolahan aneka cake. Rancangan evaluasi yang dinilai adalah i) keingintahuan, keseriusan, minat; ii) daya serap dan keterampilan. Evaluasi keingintahuan, minat dan keseriusan peserta tergolong tinggi (90%). Semua peserta hadir dan melakukan diskusi 2 arah. Peserta mengikuti pengabdian dari awal sampai acara selesai. Evaluasi daya serap pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta juga sangat tinggi (80%), di mana mereka memahami proses pemanfaatan biji Ketapang untuk dijadikan tepung. Terdapat 4 orang anggota PKK yang mampu menjadi fasilitator dalam membuat tepung biji Ketapang sebagai bahan pengolahan aneka cake. Keterampilan dasar dalam membuat kue menjadi faktor penguasaan keterampilan fasilitator.

Abstract

The distribution and utilization of sago plants need to be known in order to be more optimal in its management. The purpose of this study was to analyze the distribution of sago plants in Banjar Regency based on geographic position and habitat type and to analyze the use of sago plants by the community around the sago stand locations in Banjar Regency. The method of determining respondents usingmethod purposive sampling  of 14 respondents from 7 districts in Banjar Regency. Primary data were obtained from interviews with respondents and field observations about the distribution of sago plants based on their habitat type. The data were then analyzed by means of data tabulation and descriptive analysis. The distribution of sago plants in Banjar Regency is located in 7 (seven) sub-districts, namely Aluh-aluh, Astambul, Gambut, Martapura, Simpang Empat, Sungai Tabuk and Karang Intan sub-districts with 23 distribution spots. Habitat types are in the form of peatlands, swamps or riverbanks that are affected by tides. Sago is used by the community in Banjar district, especially on the stems and leaves. Sago stems are generally used as animal feed, the leaves are used for roof processing. The use of sago stalks to process sago flour is only done by people in the Sungai Tabuk sub-district in Banjar Regency. The management of sago production by the community is managed independently with the provision of socialization from the local government and the products are sold using online mediaPersebaran dan pemanfaatan Tumbuhan Sagu perlu untuk diketahui agar lebih optimal dalam pengelolaannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk menganalisis sebaran tumbuhan sagu di Kabupaten Banjar berdasarkan posisi geografis dan tipe habitat serta menganalisis pemanfaatan tumbuhan sagu oleh masyarakat sekitar lokasi tegakan sagu di Kabupaten Banjar. Metode penentuan responden menggunakan metode Purposive Sampling sebesar 14 responden dari 7 Kecamatan di Kabupaten Banjar. Data primer diproleh dari wawancara kepada responden dan observasi lapangan tentang persebaran tanaman Sagu bedasarkan tipe habitatnya. Data kemudian dianalisis dengan cara tabulasi data dan analisis deskriptif. Persebaran tumbuhan sagu di Kabupaten Banjar terletak di 7 (tujuh) kecamatan yaitu kecamatan Aluh-aluh, Astambul, Gambut, Martapura, Simpang Empat, Sungai Tabuk dan Karang Intan dengan 23 spot sebaran. Tipe habitatnya berupa lahan gambut, rawa atau dipinggiran sungai yang terkena pasang surut. Sagu dimanfaatkan masyarakat di kabupaten Banjar terutama pada bagian batang dan daunnya. Batang sagu umumnya digunakan sebagai pakan ternak, daunnya dimanfaatkan untuk pengolahan atap. Pemanfaatan batang sagu untuk mengolah tepung sagu hanya dilakukan oleh masyarakat di kecamatan Sungai Tabuk di Kabupaten Banjar. Pengelolaan produksi sagu oleh masyarakat dikelola secara mandiri dengan bekal sosialisasi dari pemerintah setempat dan hasil produk dijual menggunakan media online

Abstract

The Tabalong Forest Management Unit (KPH) has a very diverse potential for natural tourism objects, but development is still limited. ODTWA development requires more detailed data and information about the characteristics of ODTWA, so that all forms of management of the tourism object will be more precise and specific. The purpose of this study was to analyze the potential feasibility of natural tourism objects, analyze the characteristics of ODTWA natural attractions in KPH Tabalong Resort Forest Management (RPH) Kinarum. There are three natural attractions in the working area of KPH Tabalong RPH Kinarum, namely, 1) Riam Mambanin in Marindi Village, Haruai District, Tabalong Regency; 2) Riam Kinarum in Kinarum Village, Upau District, Tabalong Regency; 3) Riam Maga in Mangkupum Village, Muara Uya District, Tabalong Regency. Data was collected through field observations and semi-structured interviews. Data analysis was carried out descriptively based on the data collected. The most varied ODTWA areas and have great potential to be developed in a short time are Riam Kinarum and Riam MambaninKesatuan Pengelolaan Hutan (KPH) Tabalong memiliki potensi objek wisata alam yang sangat beragam namun pengembangan masih terbatas. Pengambangan Objek dan Daya Tarik Wisata Alam (ADOTWA) memerlukan data dan informasi yang lebih rinci tentang karakteristik ODTWA, sehingga segala bentuk pengelolaan terhadap objek wisata tersebut akan lebih tepat dan spesifik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis karakteristik objek wisata alam ODTWA yang ada di KPH Tabalong Resort Pengelolaan Hutan (RPH) Kinarum. Objek wisata alam yang ada di wilayah kerja KPH Tabalong RPH Kinarum ada tiga yaitu, 1) Riam Mambanin yang ada di Desa Marindi Kecamatan Haruai Kabupaten Tabalong; 2) Riam Kinarum yang ada di Desa Kinarum Kecamatan Upau Kabupaten Tabalong; 3) Riam Maga yang ada di Desa Mangkupum Kecamatan Muara Uya Kabupaten Tabalong. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi lapangan dan wawancara semi terstruktur. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif berdasarkan data yang dikumpul. Kawasan ODTWA yang paling variatif dan memiliki potensi besar untuk dikembangkan dalam waktu cepat adalah Riam Kinarum dan Riam Mambanin

Abstract

Burung (Aves) adalah salah satu mahkluk mengagumkan yang menjadi inspirasi dan memberikan kesenangan kepada masyarakat karena keindahan suara dan bulunya. Untuk mengetahui keanekargaman jenis burung pada kawasan hutan lindung Liang Aggang dan dukuh Desa Mandiangin Barat maka dilakukan penelitian dengan tujuan mengiventarisasi satwa burung yang ada di dukuh kawasan hutan lindung dan memandingkan spesies burung di dukuh kawasan hutan lindung. Penelitian telah dilakukan di Liang Aggang dan dukuh Desa Mandiangin Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penjelajah burung yang diamati secara langsung, diidentifikasi berdasarkan suara, dan dicocokan dengan buku panduan burung, sehingga jumlah burung dengan parameter tipe penggunaan habitat, waktu (jam, menit) perjumpaan, dan nama spesies jumlah individu yang dijumpai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keanekaragaman jenis burung pada setiap habitat memiliki jumlah jenis burung yang berbeda-beda yang tergantung pada pakan, tempat tinggal, dan berkembang biak

Abstract

Kerangas forest as a forest area with special character is suspected to have potency of medicinal plants. The objectives of this research are i) to obtain vegetation composition in the forest, ii) describe the distribution of medicinal plants based on vegetations levels, iii) identifying medicinal plants species based on local knowledge. The method used is the prited path by way of Purposive Sampling and semi structured interview method. The location of the research is categorized into 2 criteria, namely old secondary forest and young secondary forest. The result showed that the composition of species found were 18 species of vegetation in young secondary forest and 32 types of vegetation in old secondary forest. The highest distribution of medicinal plants in young secondary forest is found at the pole level of 40%. The highest distribution in the old secondary forest is found at the tree level of 20,83%. Identified research location there are 20 species, 10 of which have been used by society as material for treatment. The distribution of medicinal plants in old secondary forest more than the young secondary forest. Keywords: Composition, Potency, Distribution, Medicinal Plants

Abstract

River borders as wetlands has the possibility that the surrounding vegetation can absorb and store more carbon. The purpose of research is to analyze the composition of vegetation types in the river borders, suspect and analyze the carbon reserves stored on the boundary of the river and estimate amount of carbon dioxide that is able to be absorbed by vegetation on the river borders KHDTK Lambung Mangkurat University. The method of the plot selection is purposive sampling on the left and right of the river as many as 24 plots. Data collection uses the analysis of vegetation in a non-destructive way on any growth of vegetation. Sampling for the calculation of biomass and carbon content of trees, underplants, litter and necromassa by means of destructive. The Total type that makes up the standing structure found at all levels of vegetation is 80 species. 41 species are found at the seedling types, 58 species of sapling types, 41 species of pole tpes and 39 tree level type. Total carbon reserves are stored in research locations of 61 tonnes/ha of all growth tree types, necromassa, underplants and litter. Meanwhile, the total carbon dioxide that is able to be absorbed by the vegetation at the research site is 203.72 tons/ha of all levels of tree growth, necromassa, Underplant and litter. The results of research is show the vegetation of river borders has the potential as an absorbent and stores a large carbon.Keywords: Carbon reserves; Vegetation; River borders

Abstract

The implementation of mining activities often causes environmental damage so it must be followed by reclamation and revegetation activities. The purpose of this study is to analyze the success of post-coal revegetation based on the percentage aspects of plant growth, species diversity, percentage of health, tree diameter and height and increment in PD. Baramarta Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan Province.The data collected is primary taken from plots of 10 mx 50 m, the main stand were measured by se veral plots that size10 mx 10 m, of sampling were measured in plot size 5 mx 5 m, natural plants seedling and understorey were measured in plot size 2 mx 2 m, the secondary data were collected from institution of stake holder.The highest growth percentage of the five research plots based on planting years was in 2014 (100%), plot  2016 (90.32%) and plot 2017 (100%). Conecluded that the revegetation succes are very good because its succes were above 90%, the diversity of understorey in reclamatation land is still low, especially for the sampling level while seedling levels are not found on the land, plants in the five research plots are classified as healthy because 4 out of 5 plots measured the healthy percentage of plants over 90%, increment of diameter and height of sengon laut trees and sengon buto is higher than the type of acacia, tread of diameter and height revegetation relative better than first year after planting and decreasing with getting older age of plantsKeywords: Postmining; revegetation; reclamation; diversity of types; percentage growing; percentage of health

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the characteristics of vegetation that indicated through the Important Value Index and Domination Index of N.larvatus habitat in riparian forest at PT JBG operational area. Analysis of habitat vegetation using the trasect line methods.   The transect line had been made by 100 m length and 20 m width. The transect were purposively placed in a location where N. larvatus often use it as a bed tree and as a place for activities. The transect lines were divided into continuous plots measuring 20 m × 20 m.  Importance Value Index (IVI) for seedlings, saplings and poles were dominated by Hibiscus tiliaceus. The IVI for tree species were dominated by Ficus rocemose.  The dominance index obtained is low (C <1) or not yet reached the highest value (C = 1), so there is no dominant species in vegetation communities for all level vegetation. The species vegetation that have functions as a source of food and daily activities of N.larvatus were Ficus rocemose, Dillenia borneensis, Hibiscus tiliaceus and Shorea belangeranTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis karakteristik vegetasi yang diindikasikan melalui Indeks Nilai Penting dan Indeks Dominasi jenis pada habitat bekantan di hutan riparian dalam kawasan operasional PT JBG. Analisis vegetasi habitat menggunakan metode garis berpetak. Dibuat jalur sepanjang 100 m dengan lebar 20 m yang diletakkan secara purposive pada lokasi di mana bekantan sering menggunakannya sebagai pohon tempat tidur dan tempat beraktivitas. Jalur dibagi menjadi petak kontinyu berukuran 20 m × 20 m. Indeks Nilai Penting (INP) pada tingkat semai, pancang dan tiang didominansi oleh jenis Hibiscus tiliaceus, tingkat pohon didominasi oleh jenis Ficus rocemose. Indeks dominansi yang diperoleh termasuk rendah (C < 1) atau belum mencapai nilai tertinggi (C = 1), sehingga tidak ada komunitas yang mendominasi dalam arti semua jenis vegetasi tersebut tersebar merata pada semua tingkatan pertumbuhan. Jenis-jenis vegetasi yang berfungsi sebagai sumber pakan bekantan dan aktivitas harian yaitu jenis Ficus rocemose, Dillenia borneensis, Hibiscus tiliaceus dan Shorea belangeran
