Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of understanding the position and function of theory as well as literature reviews in qualitative research. The problem identified is a lack of understanding and effective application of theory and literature in various types of research, which can hamper the quality of research results. The aim of this research is to analyze the role of theory and literature in supporting methodological design, data collection and qualitative interpretation of research results. This research method takes the form of an in-depth literature review, referring to various theoretical and empirical sources regarding research methodology. This research explores how theory is used inductively in qualitative research to develop contextual understanding. The research results show that theory acts as a conceptual framework that helps researchers understand phenomena and develop targeted research designs. Additionally, literature reviews serve to identify research gaps, strengthen the validity of findings, and support the development of new insights. In conclusion, good integration of theory and literature will increase the validity and contribution of research to science.

Abstract

Evaluation research is a research method used to assess the effectiveness, efficiency and impact of a particular programme, policy or intervention. Quantitative research in evaluation research focuses on the collection and analysis of numerical data to provide objective results on programme success. The research process includes setting evaluation objectives, developing hypotheses, research design, collecting data, analysing statistics and interpreting results. Commonly used data collection methods include surveys, tests, structured observations and secondary data. Results from quantitative evaluation research provide valuable input for programme improvement and evidence-based decision-making.

Abstract

Education cannot be separated from evaluation because evaluation is one of the most important basic components in education which must be carried out in a planned and systematic manner, of course, to know and determine student learning outcomes. Evaluation is divided into two categories, namely test and non-test. The test form of evaluation is often used by teachers, but non-test evaluation is not much sought after by teachers because the instrument is quite complicated. Therefore, the aim of this research is to find out how non-test evaluation is used and its obstacles to learning. The approach used in the qualitative approach is the description method and data collection techniques through interviews. From the data we got, the school uses non-test evaluation techniques as stated in the assessment in the 2013 curriculum in accordance with the learning objectives. Apart from that, there are obstacles experienced by teachers in using non-test evaluation, such as teachers' lack of skill in preparing non-test instruments, students who do not understand the implementation of non-test evaluation, lack of time in making non-test instruments. To overcome existing obstacles, teachers must improve their skills in making non-test instruments, teachers must choose what form of test they want to use, and teachers must prepare evaluation instruments before carrying out learning.

Abstract

This paper formulates a conceptual design of an adaptive Islamic Education (PAI) curriculum for students with intellectual disabilities (PDDI) using an illustrative application of the 4D R&D Model developed by Thiagarajan, Semmel, and Semmel. As a literature-based study, it employs the Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages to map the curriculum development process without empirical testing. The Define stage identifies PDDI needs through a synthesis of literature on special education and PAI curriculum. The Design stage presents a hypothetical framework emphasizing multisensory media, concrete strategies, and realistic learning goals. The Develop stage provides theoretical validation through expert judgment. The Disseminate stage highlights institutional and policy support required for implementation. The result is a conceptual adaptive PAI curriculum model that may guide future empirical studies and policy development for PDDI in both special and inclusive schools.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas teori-teori belajar dalam perspektif Barat dan Islam serta integrasinya dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Teori belajar Barat seperti behaviorisme, kognitivisme, humanisme, dan konstruktivisme berkontribusi dalam penguatan strategi serta pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis psikologi pendidikan, terutama dalam aspek pengelolaan perilaku, penguatan motivasi, serta pengembangan kemampuan berpikir peserta didik secara sistematis. Sementara itu, perspektif Islam menekankan nilai moral, spiritual, dan pembentukan adab sebagai tujuan utama pendidikan, sehingga proses belajar tidak semata berorientasi pada capaian akademik, tetapi juga pada pembinaan karakter dan akhlak mulia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kepustakaan melalui analisis literatur yang relevan dari buku, artikel ilmiah, dan sumber akademik lainnya. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi teori belajar Barat dan Islam dapat menghasilkan pembelajaran PAI yang holistik, efektif secara metodologis, serta berorientasi pada pembentukan akhlak, spiritualitas, dan kesadaran beragama peserta didik dalam konteks pendidikan modern. Integrasi ini memberi rekomendasi bagi guru PAI untuk merancang pembelajaran yang seimbang antara aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik.

Abstract

The management of alumni data and low alumni participation constitute significant obstacles to curriculum evaluation and the fulfillment of IAPS 4.0 accreditation criteria. The proposed solution is the implementation of a Web-Based E-Tracer Study Application designed using the Model–View–Controller (MVC) architecture and supported by a database to integrate and manage data in a centralized manner. The database plays a crucial role as it enables data processing using Data Mining techniques (such as the Apriori algorithm or hash-based methods) to discover strategic association patterns between graduate competencies and job performance. The implementation of this system is able to significantly increase alumni participation rates (reaching over 90% compared to 20% using manual methods). However, sustainable success requires addressing non-technical challenges, such as low emotional attachment among alumni, through integrated solutions including automated reminder features and enhanced data security (multi-level authentication and encryption). Overall, database integration has proven effective in transforming graduate data into objective and strategic feedback to improve educational quality and alumni competitiveness.

Abstract

Digital transformation requires Islamic educational institutions to manage information in a systematic, integrated, and data-driven manner. This article aims to conceptually analyze the role of information management and database systems in enhancing the effectiveness of Islamic education management from an Islamic perspective. This study employs a literature review method by examining relevant books, scholarly journals, and academic sources. The findings indicate that the implementation of Management Information Systems and database systems significantly improves administrative efficiency, supports data-driven decision-making, and strengthens accountability and transparency in Islamic educational institutions. The integration of Islamic values such as trustworthiness (amanah), justice, responsibility, and tawhid provides an ethical foundation for managing educational information, positioning information technology as a means to achieve the objectives of Islamic education. Therefore, the development of information management based on Islamic values is a strategic necessity to enhance the quality and competitiveness of Islamic educational institutions in the digital era.

Abstract

Transparent, accountable, and integrated financial management is a critical prerequisite for ensuring the sustainability and quality improvement of Islamic education. Islamic educational institutions manage diverse sources of funding, including government-provided School Operational Assistance (BOS) as well as socio-religious funds such as zakat and educational waqf, each of which has distinct characteristics and management mechanisms. This article aims to analyze the role of information systems in Islamic education financial information management and to examine their contribution to enhancing efficiency, transparency, and accountability in the management of BOS, zakat, and waqf funds. This study employs a literature review method by examining relevant scholarly publications, regulations, and previous research findings. The results indicate that the implementation of technology-based financial information systems enables the integration of financial planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring, and reporting processes in a more systematic and real-time manner, thereby supporting more accurate and data-driven decision-making. Nevertheless, the implementation of such systems still faces several challenges, including limited human resource capacity, inadequate technological infrastructure, and the lack of integrated and standardized cross-system data management. Therefore, strengthening human resource competencies, investing in information technology, and developing interoperable and standardized systems are essential to achieving professional, sustainable, and Sharia-compliant financial governance in Islamic education institutions.

Abstract

Islamic education data plays a central role in supporting the successful governance of Islamic educational institutions. Through data, every educational activity can be systematically recorded, from planning and implementation to evaluation. This study examines the types and characteristics of Islamic education data, encompassing four main aspects: academic data, administrative data, financial data, and religious data. The method used is a literature review, reviewing various scientific sources on Islamic education data and information management. The study results indicate that accurate, valid, and integrated data management is essential for effective and efficient decision-making in Islamic educational institutions. Furthermore, the use of information technology in data management facilitates the recording, processing, and presentation of information quickly and transparently. In conclusion, Islamic education data serves not only as an administrative tool but also as a strategic instrument in realizing superior, competitive education quality rooted in Islamic values.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi model data dalam sistem informasi pendidikan Islam dengan fokus pada model hierarkis, relasional, dan jaringan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode studi pustaka terhadap jurnal ilmiah nasional berbahasa Indonesia yang terbit dalam lima tahun terakhir serta buku referensi yang relevan. Analisis dilakukan secara deskriptif dan komparatif untuk mengkaji karakteristik, keunggulan, dan keterbatasan masing-masing model data dalam mendukung manajemen pendidikan Islam. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa model data hierarkis efektif untuk pengelolaan data struktural dan administratif, namun kurang fleksibel dalam menangani hubungan data yang kompleks. Model data relasional unggul dalam menjaga konsistensi dan integritas data akademik, sedangkan model data jaringan menawarkan fleksibilitas tinggi dalam mengelola hubungan data multidimensional dengan tuntutan kesiapan teknologi yang lebih besar. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada analisis implementatif model data berbasis kajian pustaka tanpa bergantung pada data lapangan. Temuan penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi konseptual dalam pengembangan sistem informasi pendidikan Islam yang berorientasi pada peningkatan mutu pengelolaan lembaga pendidikan.
