Abstract

CV Buana Utama is a company that distributes frozen sea fish. The employee attendance system at CV Buana Utama, which includes information about entry times, picket schedules and attendance reports, is still done manually. So, during the recording process, errors may occur, or reports may be less accurate, and it may take longer to find the required data. This research utilizes the waterfall method. This Android-based application will make the employee attendance system better than the manual system so that employees are more time disciplined and work runs more efficiently. Apart from that, the best solution is to use an Android system that can solve company problems and achieve company goals.

Abstract

Decision Support Systems are interactive information systems that provide information, modeling, and data manipulation. This system is used to assist decision-making in semi-structured s and unstructured situations, where no one knows for sure how the decision should be made. The problem in this study is, determining the location of Internet network installation by BeeBeeNet, carried out based on the company's decision to determine a new location to build an Internet network in a new area, namely by surveying the area, as well as looking at the population density in an area and the current interest of the community. The purpose of making a Decision Support System for determining the location of building an internet network is to determine the right location. The method used in this research is the Profile Matching method, which is a Decision Support system in the location criteria determined by PT Batanghari Vision so that the difference in competence (GAP) can be known. The results obtained are the results of ranking using the profile matching method, using several candidates to get results in determining the new location for building an internet network, from the calculations carried out the highest value is 2.9555, this value is the highest value of the existing location criteria. the results obtained can be the right result for the company to choose the location of the internet network construction in the new location.

Abstract

Graduation is one of the assessment items in the accreditation process of a tertiary institution. So that if students graduate on time, it will help assess the accreditation of a tertiary institution. The method used is K-Nearest Neighbor (K-NN). This method is used to classify objects based on learning data closest to the object. This research aims to predict the graduation of Jambi Muhammadiyah University students, whether it is worth graduating on time or not graduating on time. In research using K-NN to predict student graduation, the results were that the K-NN approach in this study produced an accuracy value of 93.33%. The result is testing with a value of K = 5 using 50 training data for Jambi Muhammadiyah University students who have graduated in 2022; then data testing is tested with training data that has been tested before, 4 students who graduated not on time and who graduated on time were 46 students.

Abstract

Steam power plants are one of the major electricity generation units in many countries around the world. The thermal efficiency of power plants is primarily dependent on decision making by the operator on real time process parameters. This decision-making process currently utilizes human expertise, in conjunction with static setpoints and operating procedures. However, variability in human operator performance and plant operating conditions often leads to non-optimal heat rate values. The purpose of this paper is to develop a conceptual framework for an artificial intelligence-based operator decision-support system for real-time heat rate optimization, integrating Model-Based Design (MBD) and Design Science Research (DSR) principles. The framework presented in this paper is informed by past high efficiency operational experience and machine learning methodology to describe the necessary steps in generating actionable, explainable recommendations for process parameter adjustments. The conceptual framework presented, which incorporates both predictive capabilities as well as domain expertise, is intended to bridge the gap between the development of predictive models and their eventual deployment as prescriptive operational support systems by providing a high-level blueprint of a system design that is expected to lead to more robust and consistent decision making. The key functional components of the framework include data capture, preprocessing, inference modeling and, ultimately, presentation of recommendations on a human-machine interface. An initial, theoretical appraisal of the proposed framework suggests promising potential for improving operational efficiency, reducing fuel consumption, and lowering emissions, and it is expected to serve as a useful reference for ongoing and future development efforts.
