Abstract

Scientific literacy is a high-level thinking skill, and according to PISA 2018, Indonesia is 70th out of 78 countries participating in the OECD, with an average score of 396. Low level of students' high-level thinking skills in Natural Sciences subjects can also be seen in the school exam results. National Standard at SMP/MTs in Padangsidimpuan. This research aims to develop integrated natural science teaching materials based on the Differentiated Learning Model and evaluate its feasibility and effectiveness. This research uses the ADDIE research and development model. The instrument used to obtain validity uses a questionnaire with a Likert scale and for the effectiveness of scientific literacy uses a scientific literacy test with multiple choices. The research results show validity of teaching materials with aspects of content suitability is 89.45%, presentation suitability is 92.00%, language assessment is 94.20%, and scientific literacy assessment is 85.88%, with very valid criteria. The effectiveness of teaching materials is shown by the difference in the average score between the experimental class (83.55) and the control class (75,00) at postest. Based on the mean calculation, the average of the experimental class posttest is higher than the average of the control class posttest, The concluded that the scientific literacy of experimental class students has increased more than that of control class students.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the significant influence of student creativity on the subject of static fluids after implementing the AR-based pictorial riddle learning model in class XI of SMA Negeri 1 Angkola Timur. This research is a Quasi Experimental Research. The instruments in this research were essay test instruments and student observation sheets. The population is 270 class XI students of SMAN Negeri 1 East Angkola and the sample here uses a cluster random sampling technique with an experimental class of class Based on the research data obtained and the results of the statistical tests that have been carried out, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the average score and the results of the t-test analysis of two independent samples. The average post-test score for the experimental class was 77.30, more than higher than the post-test average score in the control class of 69.13. The statistical test results show that tcount 2.72 ttable 1.717, for a significance level of 95% and α = 0.05 so that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. So it can be concluded that through the application of the pictorial riddle learning model, it can improve students' ability to think creatively in Class XI of SMA Negeri 1 Angkola Timur..

Abstract

Environmental microbiology is a critical field that explores the intricate relationships between microorganisms and their environments. This study investigates the roles of microorganisms in various environmental contexts, focusing on their diversity, abundance, and ecological functions. Samples were collected from agricultural soils, freshwater bodies, industrial wastewater, and urban air, and analyzed using culture-based and molecular techniques. The results revealed significant variations in microbial abundance and diversity across the sampled environments. Agricultural soils exhibited the highest microbial abundance and diversity, with nitrogen-fixing bacteria playing a crucial role in nutrient cycling. In contrast, freshwater bodies showed moderate diversity, while industrial wastewater had the highest abundance but lower diversity, with a high prevalence of hydrocarbon-degrading microorganisms. Urban air samples had the lowest abundance but relatively high diversity. The biochemical capabilities of the isolates further emphasized the ecological roles of these microorganisms, particularly in bioremediation and soil fertility. The findings underscore the importance of preserving microbial diversity for maintaining ecosystem health and resilience. This research highlights the need for integrating microbiological insights into environmental management policies and suggests future research directions to explore microbial interactions and their potential applications in biotechnology and environmental remediation.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of Power Point learning media on low voltage network material (Jtr) on the learning outcomes of Class XI Science students at MAN 1 Sipirok for the 2019/2020 academic year. The type of quantitative research uses quasi-experimental research methods. The population of this study was all students at MAN 1 Siprirok consisting of 9 classes with 30 students in each class. The sample for this research was class XI MAN 1 Sipirok students with a sample size of 30 people. The sampling technique uses cluster radom sampling. The instrument uses pretest and posttest. The results of this research are that student learning outcomes using power point learning media on low voltage network material in class XI IPA MAN 1 Sipirok can be categorized as successful in improving student learning outcomes. It can be seen that the learning outcomes using Power Point learning media are better than learning media where teachers only use printed books in learning activities on low voltage network material. This research has the benefit of providing a benefit by using JTR, it will increase students' creativity and learning motivation, besides that, if the next research is carried out with a different sample, the results shown will also be different. This can be seen from the various characteristics of different students which greatly influence interest and learning outcomes.

Abstract

State High School 6 is located in Padangsidimpuan, precisely on Jalan Sutan Soripada Mulia. In this activity, after observing, it was discovered that the ice breaking activity was something new and had never been implemented in schools. In learning, many teachers still use teacher-centered learning, resulting in interesting learning. This activity aims to find out how to apply ice breaking in improving teacher professionalism. The sample used was teachers at Padangsidimpuan State High School 6. The method implemented is through preparation, namely by conducting observations in the field, carrying out a presentation to the teacher about the ice breaking, evaluating and analyzing the teacher's perception of the activity. The results obtained show that teachers really rate this activity positively because it can increase teachers' knowledge in the teaching and learning process so that learning does not make students bored and can increase teacher professionalism. Apart from that, this activity will overcome students' learning boredom and will develop students' psychology in learning

Abstract

SMP Negeri 1 Padangsidimpuan terletak di kecamatan Padangsidimpuan Utara.  Kegiatan ini dimulai dengan observasi kepada sekolah dimana diperoleh sautu permasalahan bahwa pembelajaran diferensiasi belum diterapkan dan juga materi IPA lebih dominan kepada teori. Kegiatan pengabdian masayrakat ini dilaksankan pada tanggal 28 sampai dengan 29 Maret 2024 dan dihadiri oleh guru. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan tiga tahap yaitu tahapan persiapan dimana tim melakukan observasi dengan wawancara kepada guru yang ada di sekolah kemudian dilaksankaan tahap pelaksanaan yaitu dengan melakukan sosialisasi dengan menghadirkan narasumber yang ahli dalam bidang setelah itu tahap terkahir adalah melakukan analisis dan evaluasi. Berdasarkan hasil akhir yaitu diperoleh adanya nilai postif dalam pembelajaran berdiferensiasi pada materi IPA terpadu berbasis budaya Batak Angkola dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru. Melalui kegiatan ini guru lebih mudah dalam melakukan evaluasi terhadap kemampuan siswa. Kegiatan ini juga memberikan inovasi baru bagi guru dalam hal pembelajaran yang lebih bermakna sehingga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa terutama pada materi IPA.

Abstract

Program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam mengembangkan modul pembelajaran berbasis etnografi Batak Angkola dan memperkuat pemahaman siswa terhadap nilai-nilai multikultural di SDN 200211 Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode partisipatif dengan pendekatan pelatihan dan pendampingan berbasis kebutuhan mitra. Tahapan kegiatan meliputi: (1) Perencanaan, melalui analisis situasi dan koordinasi dengan pemangku kepentingan pendidikan serta lembaga adat; (2) Sosialisasi, untuk membangun pemahaman dan komitmen guru terhadap pembelajaran berbasis budaya lokal; (3) Pelatihan, berupa workshop intensif tiga hari dengan kombinasi teori dan praktik mengenai penyusunan modul etnografi dan integrasi teknologi digital; (4) Penerapan teknologi, dengan pengembangan modul digital interaktif yang memuat video, materi etnografi Angkola, Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran, Lembar Kegiatan Peserta Didik; (5) Pendampingan dan evaluasi, melalui observasi, wawancara, pre-test dan post-test guna mengukur peningkatan kompetensi guru dan pemahaman multikultural siswa; serta (6) Keberlanjutan program, melalui pembentukan komunitas praktisi guru, pelatihan dan integrasi modul. Hasil menunjukkan kompetensi guru menjadi 97,5% dan pemahaman siswa sebesar 89%. Program ini efektif menumbuhkan sikap multikultural dan memperkuat identitas budaya lokal siswa.

Abstract

Peningkatan profesionalisme guru dalam menyelenggarakan pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) menjadi aspek penting untuk menghadapi tuntutan pendidikan abad ke-21 yang berbasis teknologi. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat kompetensi guru di SMP Negeri 4 Angkola Timur dalam mengembangkan bahan ajar IPA interaktif menggunakan aplikasi digital dengan pendekatan model diferensiasi. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan secara partisipatif dan kolaboratif melalui enam tahapan sistematis, yakni perencanaan, sosialisasi, pelatihan intensif, implementasi teknologi, pendampingan evaluasi, serta pengembangan berkelanjutan. Fokus materi pelatihan mencakup pemanfaatan aplikasi digital untuk penyusunan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP), materi ajar visual, dan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) digital. Evaluasi keberhasilan program diukur menggunakan angket kompetensi guru yang mencakup dimensi pedagogik, kepribadian, sosial, dan profesional. Hasil kegiatan membuktikan bahwa pemanfaatan platform digital secara efektif memberdayakan guru dalam menyusun bahan ajar IPA berbasis diferensiasi. Program ini berhasil meningkatkan keterampilan mitra dalam merancang pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif, adaptif, dan partisipatif, yang berdampak langsung pada peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah. Abstract

Abstrak: Program Pengabdian Kemitraan Masyarakat ini dilaksanakan untuk menjawab permasalahan rendahnya kemampuan guru dalam menerapkan Project-Based Learning (PjBL) berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) di SDN 200112 Padangsidimpuan. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan kompetensi digital dan pedagogis guru dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi IoT ke dalam desain pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Kegiatan dilakukan melalui tahap perencanaan, sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan pendampingan dan evaluasi, keberlanjutan program dengan melibatkan 21 guru dari sekolah mitra. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui observasi dan kuesioner untuk mengukur peningkatan kemampuan guru. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan kompetensi sebesar 78% pada aspek hard skill (penguasaan konsep, desain proyek, dan penggunaan teknologi IoT) serta 65% pada aspek soft skill (kolaborasi, refleksi, dan inovasi pembelajaran). Guru menunjukkan kemampuan lebih baik dalam merancang proyek berbasis teknologi dan mengintegrasikan IoT dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Program ini membuktikan efektivitas model PjBL berbasis teknologi dalam mendukung implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka dan membuka peluang pengembangan pelatihan lanjutan berbasis LMS serta penerapan IoT lintas disiplin.Abstract: This Community Partnership Service Program was implemented to address the issue of teachers' low ability to apply Internet of Things (IoT)-based Project-Based Learning (PjBL) at SDN 200112 Padangsidimpuan. The objective of this activity was to improve teachers' digital and pedagogical competencies in integrating IoT technology into Indonesian language learning design. The activity was carried out through the stages of planning, socialization, training, mentoring, and evaluation, with the program's sustainability involving 21 teachers from partner schools. Evaluation was conducted through observation and questionnaires to measure the improvement in teachers' abilities. The results showed a 78% increase in hard skills (concept mastery, project design, and use of IoT technology) and a 65% increase in soft skills (collaboration, reflection, and learning innovation). Teachers demonstrated improved abilities in designing technology-based projects and integrating IoT into Indonesian language learning. This program proves the effectiveness of the technology-based PjBL model in supporting the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum and opens up opportunities for the development of LMS-based advanced training and the application of IoT across disciplines.
