Abstract

A reward is an amusing and positive thing, it turns out that reward is very influential in increasing one's learning motivation, one's motivation is an unstable thing especially motivation to learn, sometimes strong but sometimes weak. In this study, researchers perceived students of 11th grade at MAN 1 Pasuruan, this observation carried out in 2 weeks and focusing on seeing the impact caused by giving rewards to students’ motivation, to make the data stronger, at the end of the teaching session, researcher conductedinterview session with 34 students related to the impact of providing rewards in increasing student motivation. For the result, almost all students in 11th grade at MAN 1 Pasuruan XI IIS 3 Classagree that rewards can increase learning motivation, and for the details, it will be explained in the following article.

Abstract

Religious moderation is currently a very interesting discussion, not only among academics but also among the public. The emergence of the phenomenon of intolerance and radicalism certainly becomes asbabun nuzul from moderation so the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia feels the need to make religious moderation a policy focus. This paper aims to reveal policy analysis and strategies for strengthening religious moderation in the context of education in Indonesia. The research method used is qualitative with the type of library research using the note-taking technique. The results of this study indicate that the policy of strengthening religious moderation is contained in the 2020-2024 RPJMN which promotes strengthening religious moderation through 5 (five) strategies to strengthen religious moderation including; religious broadcasting, education system, management of houses of worship, management of public spaces, and Islamic boarding schools. However, the focus and findings in this study lead to the implementation of the education system in Islamic Higher Education, in which houses of religious moderation are formed at State Islamic Universities in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research intends to determine the extent to which the potential of pesantren is based on the mandate contained in Law no. 18 in 2019 about Pesantren in an effort to increase the Human Development Index (IPM) in Indonesia. This research is qualitative research using a literature study approach in the data collection process, both primary and secondary. The primary data in the form of the Pesantren Law was then analyzed in terms of the Human Development Index indicators with the assistance of several secondary sources such as journal articles, web articles, and books. The results of this research indicate that Pesantren has the potential in efforts to increase the Human Development Index (HDI) in Indonesia through two dimensions: 1) Pesantren have the potential to increase the Knowledge dimension (Expected School Length and Average School Length) in its function as an educational institution through the provision of formal education Pesantrens in the form of the Satuan Pendidikan Muadalah (SPM), Pendidikan Diniyah Formal (PDF), and Ma'had Aly; 2) Pesantren have the potential to increase the dimension of a Decent Standard of Living through their function in community empowerment with various training programs and economic empowerment and entrepreneurship.

Abstract

Abstract: Muhammad Iqbal is a Philosopher and education’s figure. His saveral ideas are about character education and education of creativity. Disruption era brings a complex problem, especially in moral and character development. The deterioration of student’s moral value will be a trigger to make attitude and behavior that doesn’t suit with spiritual value or the oble values of Indonesian nation. Therefore, character development in disruption era be a very important discussion. This research aims to analyze Muhammad Iqbal’s views of character education that relevance to disruption era. The research’s method is library research with data collection techniques from any references such as books, journals, newspaper, and others articles. This research used descriptive analysis technique. The results is according to Muhammad Iqbal’s thoughts that character education is an effort to prevent the moral crisis phenomenon on students that relevant at disruption era. Impementation of the character education is with modelling of positive character and behavior, development self-awareness about human essence as insan kamil, and developement the tolerance.

Abstract

Numerous acts of terrorism in Indonesia highlight the insufficient understanding and appreciation of moderation values. To combat terrorism and radicalism, a multifaceted approach is essential. This study examines the effectiveness of a deradicalization program that integrates Pancasila education and promotes moderate values through religious moderation education. The research posits that moderate Islamic education can prevent students from adopting radical behaviors and thoughts. Consequently, the graduates of Islamic educational institutions are better equipped to embrace religious diversity and respect differing beliefs. This qualitative study employs contextual and textual analysis of relevant articles to explore this topic. The findings reveal that the internalization of Pancasila values involves a three-step process: transformation, transaction, and internalization. These steps are crucial for harmonizing religious understanding and promoting tolerance. This study underscores the importance of embedding Pancasila values in educational curricula to foster a more moderate and inclusive society

Abstract

Perkembangan peradaban pada abad 21 menuntut manusia untuk berperilaku serba instan. Perilaku itu dapat membawa ke arah kejahatan jika tidak dibentengi dengan pemupukan akhlak yang kuat pada saat mengenyam pendidikan di lembaga pendidikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui strategi pendidikan akhlak yang sesuai untuk diajarkan pada lembaga pendidikan, baik formal, in-formal, maupun non-formal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian pustaka (library research) dengan kitab Ihya ‘Ulumuddin sebagai sumber primernya. Pendidikan akhlak abad 21 yang diterapkan di lembaga pendidikan berbeda dengan abad sebelumnya. Pendidikan akhlak pada abad 21 lebih menekankan pada aspek penguatan jiwa dan akal anak didik. Menurut Imam al-Ghazali, setidaknya ada empat kriteria yang harus kuat dan dimiliki anak didik setelah selesai dari sekolahnya, yaitu kekuatan ilmu (pengalaman akal), dan kekuatan emosi, nafsu, adil (pengalaman jiwa). Menurutnya, sekolah harus membuat budaya-budaya baru dalam rangka memberikan penguatan akal dan jiwa anak didik. Seperti menambahkan berbagai macam ibadah disela-sela waktu pembelajaran anak didik dan memberikan sanksi dan reward kepada anak didik terhadap apa yang dilakukannya. Selain sekolah, orang tua juga berperan dalam pembentukan akhlak anak. Tuntutan berbakti kepada orang tua dapat mempengaruhi kekuatan jiwa anak didik, karena membiasakannya untuk melakukan hal-hal yang cenderung tidak disukai anak didik.

Abstract

This article discusses the relevance of Al-Ghazali's educational thought in the context of modern Islamic education, focusing on the balance between intellectual and spiritual aspects. In the face of issues currently confronting Islamic education, such as moral crises, the influence of globalization, and tendencies toward secularism, this research aims to highlight how Al-Ghazali's educational concepts can offer effective solutions. This is a kind of qualitative research method with a literature study approach. The data analysis technique used is content analysis, including Al-Ghazali's works and contemporary writings on Islamic education.  The study’s results indicate that Al-Ghazali emphasizes the importance of balancing intellectual and spiritual development to produce intelligent and moral individuals capable of facing modern challenges. His thought not only strengthens the integration of knowledge and religion but also equips younger generations with the character and ethics necessary to navigate the complexities of the modern world. Thus, Al-Ghazali's ideas are highly significant and relevant to developing a quality, competitive Islamic education.

Abstract

This research aims to understand character education from the perspective of KH. Hasyim Asyi’ari for Generation Z as found in the book Adabul Alim Wa Mutaalim, by considering the achievement of seven values contained in character education for teachers for Generation Z and character education for Generation Z. The development of the times has led to an increase in moral degradation, which can hinder growth and become an issue in achieving the nation's ideals. This research falls under the category of library research, and the data analysis used in this study is content analysis, which aims to conclude an effort to identify message characteristics, conducted objectively and systematically. The results of this study indicate that there are seven aspects, namely purifying intentions, patience, contentment, asceticism, humility, piety, and avoiding filth and immorality, which when viewed from the perspective of character education by KH. Hasyim Asy'ari can be well achieved for Generation Z.

Abstract

This article discusses about the ideas of KH Abdul Karim Amrullah in developing Islamic Education in West Sumatra. This is a kind of library research using descriptive-qualitative methode. The result of the research shows that KH. Abdul Karim Amrullah was one of the leading Muslim Intelectual who had been succesful in developing Islamic education especiallay in Minangkabau. Among of his thoughts were: 1) designing curriculum based on grade level 2) introducing learning methode which enable the students to develop their thinking skill, 3) training students to learn and practice in organization, 4) replacing the old Kitabs with the new ones which enable the students to develop their intelectuals as preparation to face the challenges of the times.

Abstract

The mental health issues faced by Gen Z are becoming increasingly complex due to rapid technological advancements and socio-cultural changes. Social pressures from social media, unrealistic self-comparisons, academic stress, demands for success, and excessive use of social media can exacerbate Gen Z's mental health conditions. Psychological support and holistic education are necessary to address these challenges. Buya Hamka offers an Islamic educational concept that can serve as an alternative in tackling the mental health crisis. This study employs a library research method and aims to explore the relevance of Buya Hamka's perspective on Islamic education in supporting Gen Z's mental health. The findings reveal that Buya Hamka's concept of Islamic education emphasizes the importance of aqidah (faith), akhlaq (morality), and the balance between intellect and soul in strengthening Gen Z's mental health. Aqidah provides a sense of life purpose, while akhlaq helps in managing emotions and social relationships. The balance between intellect and soul supports decision-making and emotional needs. This approach demonstrates the relevance of Islamic education from Buya Hamka's perspective in strengthening Gen Z's mental health.
