Abstract

Artikel ini membahas peran penting civic morals dalam membentuk karakter warga negara yang bertanggung jawab di Perguruan Tinggi Indonesia, khususnya di IAIN Kendari sebagai representatif dari PTKIN. Civic morals memainkan peran kunci dalam mencegah radikalisme dan memperkuat nilai-nilai ke-Indonesiaan, terutama dengan merujuk pada Pancasila. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah bahaimana pembentukan civic morals dapat memperkuat ideologi dan identitas warga negara yang berlandaskan nilai-nilai Pancasila dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dan upaya mempersiapkan mahasiswa untuk berpartisipasi aktif dalam membangun masyarakat yang berlandaskan ideologi dan identitas warga negara yang kuat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan desain kajian literatur digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi kata kunci, mengumpulkan, mengorganisir, dan mereview literatur, serta mengembangkan peta literatur.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa civic morals berperan krusial dalam membentuk karakter mahasiswa, yang dihadapkan pada tantangan moral di lingkungan Perguruan Tinggi. Implementasi nilai-nilai Pancasila dianggap esensial, dengan artikel ini memfokuskan pada konteks ke-Indonesiaan dan pembentukan karakter mahasiswa. Sebagai kesimpulan, artikel menyajikan sebuah kerangka model pembelajaran pembentukan civic morals Pancasila, melibatkan perencanaan kurikulum, pengembangan materi, model pembelajaran, evaluasi, integrasi teknologi, dan pengembangan keterampilan guru. Model ini diharapkan dapat memperkuat pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap nilai-nilai Pancasila, mempersiapkan mereka untuk berperan aktif dalam membangun masyarakat yang berlandaskan ideologi dan identitas warga negara yang kuat.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of teacher exemplarity in enhancing the understanding of moral values and gender equality among high-level Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students. The research method employed was qualitative research with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with Madrasah teachers in high-level classes and participatory observations of teacher-student interactions in the classroom. The research findings indicate that teacher exemplarity significantly influences students' understanding of moral values and gender equality. Teachers who serve as examples through ethical behavior and respect for gender equality inspire students to internalize these values in their daily lives. Moreover, teacher exemplarity facilitates open dialogues on moral and gender equality issues in the classroom, aiding students in gaining a deeper understanding of these concepts. This research provides essential insights into how the teacher exemplarity approach can be used as an effective strategy to enhance students' understanding of moral values and gender equality in Madrasah education. The practical implications of this study underscore the importance of teachers as positive role models in shaping students' characters and promoting gender equality in the context of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah education at the higher level. Keywords: Gender Equality, Teacher Exemplarity, Moral Values, Madrasah Students Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran keteladanan guru dalam meningkatkan pemahaman nilai moral dan kesetaraan gender pada siswa Madrasah Ibtidaiyah kelas tinggi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan guru Madrasah di kelas tinggi dan observasi partisipatif terhadap interaksi guru-siswa di kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keteladanan guru memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan dalam membentuk pemahaman siswa tentang nilai moral dan kesetaraan gender. Guru yang menjadi teladan dalam perilaku etis dan penghormatan terhadap kesetaraan gender dapat menginspirasi siswa untuk menginternalisasi nilai-nilai tersebut dalam kehidupan sehari-hari mereka. Selain itu, keteladanan guru juga memfasilitasi dialog terbuka tentang isu-isu moral dan kesetaraan gender di kelas, membantu siswa dalam memahami konsep-konsep ini secara lebih mendalam. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan yang penting tentang bagaimana pendekatan keteladanan guru dapat digunakan sebagai strategi efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman nilai moral dan kesetaraan gender pada siswa Madrasah. Implikasi praktis dari penelitian ini adalah pentingnya peran guru sebagai model yang baik dalam membentuk karakter siswa dan mempromosikan kesetaraan gender dalam konteks pendidikan Madrasah Ibtidaiyah di kelas tinggi. Abstract

Understanding student motivation for learning Islamic education in Indonesian senior high schools is crucial for enhancing educational outcomes and student engagement. The aim of this research is to look at students' intrinsic motivation, students' extrinsic motivation, supporting and inhibiting factors in learning Islamic religious education. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation with data analysis through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification. The results of this research were obtained: i) the intrinsic motivation of students at Senior High School in learning Islamic religious education was obtained through the appreciation given by the teacher and the students' sense of responsibility. This award is motivation for students to develop and progress further in their learning process, ii) extrinsic motivation for Senior High School students is obtained from the motivation provided by teachers, principals, and all the environment in the school. Adequate infrastructure is one of the motivations for student learning in achieving goals, iii) supporting factors in increasing student learning motivation in learning Islamic religious education, namely students are given Islamic religious learning guidance, in the form of congregational prayers, tahfiz, reading the Quran and delivering learning material. The inhibiting factor in increasing students' learning motivation in learning Islamic religious education is the lack of Islamic religious education lesson hours at school. Apart from the lack of teaching hours for Islamic religious education teachers, students who study religion are less aware of the importance of studying Islam. The results of this research can be used as initial data for future researchers in studying this problem in different contexts and issues.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kegiatan PKM ini penting dilakukan karena mitra membutuhkan penguatan pada sisi literasi. Saat pelaksanaan observasi ditemukan beberapa masalah seputar literasi seperti adanya peserta didik kelas tinggi yang belum lancar membaca serta minimnya kunjungan peserta didik ke perpustakaan. Mitra dari pengabdian ini adalah kepala sekolah, majelis guru, peserta didik SDN 011 Bukit Kapur Kota Dumai dan 5 orang mahasiswa kampus mengajar Angkatan 6, serta dilaksanakan dari bulan Agustus-November 2023. Adapun kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan oleh tim sebagai berikut: (1) private membaca bagi peserta didik kelas rendah maupun kelas tinggi yang belum lancar membaca; (2) pembuatan poster, dengan beragam tema mengunakan bahan yang didaur ulang; (3) mengaktifkan madding sekolah untuk memancing kreatifitas peserta didik; (4) rutinitas membaca buku di perpustakaan; (5) membuat pojok literasi di perpustakaan dan di setiap ruang kelas; (6) pembiasaan kata Ajaib; (7)private belajar di rumah; (8) mengadakan festival literasi di sekolah. Untuk mengukur keefektifan kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan posttest dan pretest literasi pada kelas 5, Dimana hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan literasi peserta didik meningkat dari angka 69% menjadi 76%.Abstract: This PKM activity is important because partners need strengthening on the literacy side. During the observation, several problems related to literacy were found, such as the presence of high class students who were not yet fluent in reading and the lack of student visits to the library. The partners for this service are the principal, teacher council, students of SDN 011 Bukit Kapur, Dumai City and 5 students from the 6th teaching campus, and will be held from August-November 2023. The service activities carried out by the team are as follows: (1) private reading for low class and high class students who are not yet fluent in reading; (2) making posters, with various themes using recycled materials; (3) activating school madding to stimulate students' creativity; (4) routine reading books in the library; (5) create a literacy corner in the library and in every classroom; (6) Magic word familiarization; (7) private study at home; (8) holding a literacy festival at school. To measure the effectiveness of service activities, a literacy posttest and pretest were carried out in class 5, where the results showed that students' literacy knowledge increased from 69% to 76%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the activities, roles, challenges, and opportunities of Batch 3 of the campus teaching program. This research was qualitative and employed descriptive methods. The study was conducted in SDN 08 Lubuk Dalam, Siak Regency, Riau. This study's informants were field supervisors and students of the campus teaching program, as well as the principal, teachers, and a number of students of SDN 08 Lubuk Dalam. Observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation research were employed to collect data. Moreover, source triangulation was utilized for the technical testing of data validity. According to the study's result, the activities and duties of the campus teaching program included literacy, numeracy, administration, and technology adaptation. These programs all contribute to improving student literacy and numeracy, learning motivation, and implementing the school's Minimum Competency Assessment. In addition, there are also challenges and opportunities in the campus teaching program at the school, including the location of the school, which is in a remote area. Access to the school is very challenging because it has to go through the oil palm plantation road; internet access at the school location and the non-existent electricity network are challenging, so school activities rely on generators. In contrast, the opportunities analyzed include the high tolerance at SDN 08 Lubuk Dalam among the diverse ethnicities, cultures, and religions that are strong in the school environment and the high teaching and learning spirit of the students and teachers amid challenges and limitations.This research contributes as evaluation material for schools.

Abstract

This article discusses the importance of citizenship education in building a peaceful and harmonious school environment for the social welfare of elementary school students amidst the challenges of global diversity and complexity. The article describes the concept of Citizenship Education in elementary schools, and its role in shaping student character, democratic values, and active participation in society. The research method uses a literature approach by exploring and analyzing the concept of harmony in Citizenship Education in the context of peaceful schools. The results and discussion found that Citizenship Education plays an important role in forming attitudes of tolerance, mutual respect, and awareness of the rights and obligations of students in elementary schools, so it needs to be ensured that it is integrated with character education in the school curriculum as an effort to overcome challenges such as religious intolerance and fundamentalism, and lack of awareness, towards the values ​​of Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution by teaching the values ​​of peace, conflict resolution skills, and respect for human rights. Schools also play an important role in creating a peaceful environment and supporting the welfare of socially active communities through environmentally based school programs, namely adiwiyata, health assistance such as brushing teeth properly and correctly, and helping to improve student welfare by providing group therapy therapeutic (TKT) in elementary school students before facing problems and obstacles to socializing in society. It is hoped that peace education in elementary schools can play a role in forming students who are harmonious, peaceful, and prosperous.

Abstract

Statistical data indicates an increase in drug abuse cases worldwide, including in Indonesia. Drug abuse has become a serious problem affecting various segments of society, including urban students in Bandung. This is a serious concern as it impacts the health and behavior of students who represent the nation's future. Addressing this issue requires effective preventive measures to reduce drug abuse among students through drug abuse prevention socialization. The objective of this activity is to provide new knowledge to high school students about drugs and the importance of legal education in drug abuse. The implementation method involves collaboration with the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of West Java, involving 503 students with speakers from BNN of West Java. Evaluation is conducted to measure the success rate of the activity. The results show that this socialization activity has a positive impact, increasing awareness and knowledge among students about the dangers of drug abuse. Collaboration between BNN, educational institutions, and the community in drug education socialization programs is considered effective in preventing drug abuse among students. This article contributes by presenting survey results and drug abuse prevention instruments among students to prevent drug abuse, cultivate awareness, mitigate risks, and nurture students as the nation's future. ABSTRAK Data statistik menunjukkan peningkatan kasus penyalahgunaan narkoba di berbagai negara, termasukIndonesia. Penyalahgunaan narkoba menjadi masalah serius yang mempengaruhi berbagai kalangan,termasuk pelajar kota Bandung. Hal ini menjadi perhatian serius karena berdampak terhadap kesehatan danperilaku pelajar yang menjadi masa depan bangsa. Masalah ini memerlukan tindakan pencegahan yangefektif untuk mengurangi penyalahgunaan narkoba di kalangan pelajar melalui sosialisasi pencegahanpenyalahgunaan narkoba. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan baru bagi pelajarSMA tentang narkoba dan pentingnya pendidikan hukum dalam penyalahgunaan narkoba. Metodepelaksanaan dilakukan dengan kerjasama Badan Narkotika Nasional (BNN) Jawa Barat, melibatkan 503siswa dengan narasumber dari BNN Provinsi jawa Barat. Evaluasi dilakukan untuk mengukur tingkatkeberhasilan kegiatan. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan sosialisasi ini memberikan dampak positif,meningkatkan kesadaran dan pengetahuan siswa tentang bahaya penyalahgunaan narkoba. Kerjasamaantara BNN, lembaga pendidikan, dan masyarakat dalam program sosialisasi penyuluhan narkoba dianggapefektif dalam mencegah penyalahgunaan narkoba di kalangan pelajar. Artikel ini memberikan kontribusidalam menyajikan hasil survei dan instrumen pencegahan penyalahgunaan narkoba di kalangan pelajaruntuk mencegah penyalahgunaan narkoba, menumbuhkan kesadaran, mencegah bahaya dan merawatpelajar sebagai masa depan bangsa.

Abstract

This article examines the application of the fourth principle of Pancasila—deliberation to reach consensus—in civic education in Indonesia, aiming to cultivate democratic values and student character. The research employs a qualitative approach through a case study design, utilizing semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis at SMA Negeri 1 Lhokseumawe. Findings indicate that most students appreciate the deliberation-based learning methods, although challenges such as communication barriers and varying learning styles persist. The role of teachers is crucial in facilitating active participation and creating an inclusive learning environment. The implications of this research highlight the need for continuous adaptation of teaching strategies to address diverse student needs, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of civic education and fostering responsible, engaged citizens.

Abstract

The implementation of the "Merdeka Belajar, Kampus Merdeka" (MBKM) or “Curriculum Freedom to Learn, Campus Freedom” curriculum in higher education poses challenges in integrating religious and national values, ensuring inclusivity, and adapting to societal changes. This study explores the impact of the MBKM curriculum on shaping citizens with religious and nationalistic characters in Indonesia's higher education system. Utilizing a qualitative research method with a literature review design, the study considers criteria such as relevance, recent publication dates, and diverse perspectives in literature selection. Thematic analysis is employed for data analysis, addressing potential biases through reflexivity and peer debriefing. Findings emphasize the need for continuous curriculum review to align with societal values and regulations. While the focus on Indonesia's higher education system may limit generalizability, discussing variations in cultural and educational contexts would enhance applicability. Ethical and legal considerations in integrating religious and nationalist values are crucial, requiring a thorough discussion to ensure alignment with pluralism and individual rights.

Abstract

People's diverse ways of thinking in dealing with developments in the times often trigger actions beyond their limits, especially when their desires are not in line with their sense of faith. In this context, correctional institutions play an important role as a place to develop prisoners through da'wah guidance, which aims to direct them back to the right path. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the da'wah method in developing prisoners in Class II B Correctional Institutions. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data sources were taken through in-depth individual and group interviews with five informants consisting of ustadz, prison officers, and prisoners. All data was analyzed thematically using model analysis interactive Miles & Huberman's. The results of this research show that; the effectiveness of the da’wah method in coaching prisoners in the Class II B Correctional Institution applied by the preacher is the lecture method with a technique at the beginning of the lecture inviting prisoners to read Asmaul Husna and self-introspection. This method is following Q.S An-Nahl verse 125, namely the mau'izah hasanah method. However, the success of this da’wah method is still not optimal, this can be seen from the results of observations and interviews that researchers have conveyed.
