Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the performance of Islamic microfinance institutions (MFIs) in strengthening the agricultural and fisheries sector to realize sustainable rural development. The study uses quantitative method and purposive sampling method. The sample of this study was 85 agricultural and fishery business actors in Central Java, Indonesia. The variable quality of service, accessibility and philanthropic characteristics of Islamic MFIs towards sustainable rural development which mediated by strengthening of the agricultural and fisheries sector. The urgency of this research is to establish a financing model for the agriculture and fisheries sector. This study uses primary data which collected through filling out the questionnaires by business actors in the agriculture and fisheries sector. The results showed that 1) the service quality of Islamic MFIs had no impact on strengthening the agricultural and fisheries sector 2) accessibility of Islamic MFIs had a positive impact on strengthening the agricultural and fisheries sector 3) philanthropic characteristics had a positive impact on strengthening the agricultural and fisheries sector 4) strengthening the agriculture and fisheries sector has a positive impact on sustainable rural development. This research can be used as a model for channeling customer funds to finance Islamic MFIs

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of the human development index, foreign investment, domestic investment, and labor force on economic growth in Banten Province. This research is quantitative research using panel data for the period 2018 - 2022 with observations of eight districts/cities in Banten Province. The analysis method used is panel data regression. Based on the model selection test with the Lagrange multiplier, the results showed that the random effect model was the right model to be used in this research. The results of hypothesis testing using the t test show that partiallyThe human development index variable has a positive and significant effect oneconomic growth with a coefficient of1.087203.The foreign investment variable has a positive but not significant influence on economic growth with a coefficient of0.027156. The domestic investment variable has a positive and significant effect oneconomic growth with a coefficient of0.003893. The labor force variable has a positive and significant effect oneconomic growth with a coefficient of2.190287. This research has a limited number of research variables and the scope of the research area so that further research can add variables and a wider area.

Abstract

Processed meat products must have a halal guarantee, so that consumers feel safe drinking them.. Halal certification provide assurance to Muslim consumers in accordance with sharia principles. However, halal certification strategy allows for an increase in production costs which can increase consumer’s prices. An increase in prices allows a negative effect on consumers' willingness to pay. Therefore, this study aims to estimate the additional nominal and the determinants of Muslim consumers to pay higher prices for halal processed meat products. The population in this study were Muslims in Depok District with Accidental Sampling Technique. Data collection was done by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents. Contingent Valuation Method and binary logistic regression is used in this research. The results showed that Muslim consumers in Depok District will to pay more for halal processed meat products with an additional nominal of Rp. 2,437 per 500gr package. The four variables significantly affect the WTP namely attitudes, perceived behavioral control, religious self-identity, and religiosity). While the subjective norm has no effect.

Abstract

Dairy farm businesses have considerable market potential in urban areas and one of Semarang because it has facilities and adequate transportation infrastructure so that the milk is raw material can be reached by the end consumer level. Dairy farm business people can be developed either through: (1) facilities and prasrana subsystem, (2) cultivation, (3) post-harvest, (4) processing and marketing efforts. This study aims to determine how much influence the cost of green feed cost, concentrate feed costm, labor cost, cost of medicine, capital, training and experience to benefit farmers and determine the condition of scale and also the maximum profit from dairy cattle business people in the City Semarang. The research method used Unit Price Output Function (UOP) using SPSS 17 of data processing. The results showed that the variabel cost of concentrate feed, the cost of medicine, cost of capital and labor jointly significant advantages both for the 0,01 and 0,05. R2 value of 0,634 which 63,4 percent of these variables can be explained while the independent variables by other dependent. Dairy farm business people in the city of Semarang has not reached the maximum profit and the condition of its business scale also leads to decreasing retrun to scale.

Abstract

The study was conducted on the small and medium industry batik in Semarang. Respondents are SME entrepreneurs batik with the number of 41 people, the vast majority of their business is still relatively small scale. The research objective is to: (1) describe the general condition of batik in Semarang, (2) analyze the influence of factors of production such as fabrics, wax, dye medicine, labor and fuel for the production of batik, and (3) estimate the efficiency of production, prices and the economy batik small-medium industries in Semarang. The results showed that the variables of fabrics, dyes medicine and labor has a positive and significant impact on the production of batik, while variables  wax  and fuel has  no significant effect. The level of technical efficiency in the research object is said to be efficient with an average rating of less than one (0.87). Analysis of allocative efficiency and economy suggests that the use of production factors is inefficient with values ​​respectively 0.894 and 0.778. To achieve a more efficient outcome it is necessary to increase the input fabrics and dye medicines, a review of the use of wax and reduced fuel when necessary, as well as further guidance to the workforce.

Abstract

ABSTRACTCreative industries are those industries who have potency to contribute in economic growth, reflected in the increase of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in Creative Industry component. Therefore, the analysis of factors affect GDP in creative industries component is needed in order to contribute optimally in the increase of it.The purpose of the research is analyzing labor, export value, import value, and company number as the factors affect GDP in creative industries component in Indonesia 2002-2008. This research uses secondary data with panel dataanalysis tool that consists of time series data 2002-2008 and cross section data of 10 subsectors of creative industries in Indonesia. The mothod uses is linear regression analysis panel data with Ordinary Least Square method (OLS).The result shows that labor and import value variabel have positive and significant impact on GDP in creative industries while export value and company number have negative and significant impact on GDP in creative industries.

Abstract

Unemployment is a labor issue that currently has reached a critical condition. One attempt to reduce unemployment is to develop sectors that can create jobs. The industrial sector is one sector that has a noticeable role in employment. In Kudus Regency, one of the industries that have an important role in employment is the cigarette industry. This study aims to analyze the factors affecting employment in the cigarette industry in Kudus Regency in 1993-2010. This study uses time series data years 1993-2010 were analyzed using multiple regression methods. The results of the analysis showed that the variable number of firms has a positive and significant effect on employment industry. Variable wages has a positive and signifcant effect on employment industry. PDRB has a positive and not significant effect on employment industry. Rate investment and Dummy variable have a negative and not significant effect on employment of the cigarette industry in the Kudus Regency.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to look the relationship between effectiveness of the bureaucracy against investment into the corruption variable acts as a moderating variable in the six ASEAN countries: Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand during 2004-2010. By using Pooled Least Square approach, this study process six variables in the governance indicators, proposed by Daniel Kaufmann, et. al. Pooled least square method with partial regression performed to reduce accuracy of the identified models with multicollinearity among these with corruption variable and investment variable. The results of this study show a relationship of the degree of openness, the level of political stability, the level of legislation, and the level of corruption control in six ASEAN countries against corruption and show a relationship from corruption with investment.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Agricultural land conversion is one of the phenomenon in the course of agricultural issues. Therefore, the purpose of the research are to determine the factors that influence farmers decision in converting their agricultural land into non-agricultural land. The impacts toward farmers welfare and the impact on socio-environental life in Kopeng.The research applies quantitative approach and uses multiple regression analysis in analyzing factors that influence farmers’ decision in converting their agricultural land into non-agricultural land. Furthermore, the write applies descriptive qualitative approach in analyzing agricultural land conversion impact on farmers’ welfare and socio-environmental condition resulted from the land conversion in Kopeng.As the result of the research, there are four factors which are influencing farmer’s decision in land conversion, they are: 1) economical factor, 2) scial factor, 3) lanf condition factor and 4) government regulations. The land conversion impacts toward the welfare of farmers around the converted land are agrarian structure change, employment change, work pattern change, and income structure change. The field research also proves that the land conversion process change social pattern of the local society. The social impact af the land conversion are viewed fom relationship and interaction between individuals, security, and lifestyle of the society around. Moreover, the land conversion also creates environmental impacts, in regards with household need of water, environmental degradation in the loss of green lands and the fading of natural resource and wisdom that Kopeng has.

Abstract

The purpose of achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs) requires the mobilisation of finance and its alignment with sustainability principles. This study intends to examine the influence of financial development on the attainment of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in an economy. Approach - The authors conduct an analysis of a sample comprising 35 Asian countries, focusing on their SDG (Sustainable Development Goals). Patterns and indicative indicators of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A probit model is used to analyse the effect of Financial development impacting the trajectory of the Sustainable Development Goals. Then, a pairwise Granger causality test is used for Examining the relationship between the Sustainable Development Goals and financial development The results suggest that there is a favourable relationship between financial development and the advancement towards the Sustainable Development Goals. The test for causation There is a reciprocal relationship between financial development and industry, infrastructure, and innovation. Enhancing financial growth and promoting sustainable cities and communities, as well as fostering financial development and taking action on climate change, There is a one-way relationship where gender equality influences financial progress. Research limitations/ramifications - The findings also have implications for the government of a nation as the privately-owned enterprises.
