Abstract

This study examines the dominant factors influencing student learning outcomes in digital mathematics learning, focusing on Technology Acceptance and Digital Literacy. A unified model combining the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Digital Literacy framework was tested using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The participants were 125 fifth-grade students from three public elementary schools in Cirebon. Data were collected through validated questionnaires measuring Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness, Attitude, Digital Literacy, and mathematics learning outcomes. The findings showed that all hypothesized relationships were significant (p < 0.001). Digital Literacy had a stronger effect on learning outcomes (β = 0.415) than Technology Acceptance (β = 0.311), with the cognitive dimension contributing the most (β = 0.521). The results also indicated that Digital Literacy fully mediates its dimensions, while Technology Acceptance influences learning outcomes through sequential pathways involving perceived usefulness and attitude. The study concludes that Digital Literacy is the main predictor of learning outcomes in digital mathematics learning. Therefore, sustainable educational digitalization should prioritize strengthening students’ digital literacy competencies alongside technology adoption.

Abstract

Despite extensive studies on revolutionary literature, the role of ideology in shaping representatons of human existence within socio-political turmoil remains insufficiently explored, particularly in André Malraux’s La Condition Humaine. This study examines the representation of ideology in André Malraux’s novel La Condition Humaine through the framework of Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) based on Fairclough’s three-dimensional model. The study aims to reveal how ideology is constructed and articulated through linguistic choices, social relations among characters, and broader socio-historical contexts. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the data were obtained from narrative passages, dialogues, and descriptive segments of the novel that reflect ideological tension, class struggle, and existential conflict. The analysis was conducted at three levels: micro (linguistic features such as diction, syntax, and figurative language), meso (social relations, group dynamics, and discursive practices), and macro (situational, institutional, and social contexts related to the Shanghai Revolution of 1927). The findings show that Malraux employs fragmentary syntax, emotionally charged lexicon, and dark metaphors to represent existential anxiety and dehumanization at the micro level. At the meso level, ideological meanings are negotiated through solidarity, loyalty, and conflict among characters within revolutionary structures. At the macro level, the novel critiques institutional power, capitalism, and political bureaucracy that subordinate human dignity to efficiency and domination. This study contributes to literary discourse by demonstrating how CDA can uncover the interplay between language, ideology, and human resistance, offering a nuanced understanding of literary texts as sites of ideological contestation and moral reflection.

Abstract

The digitalization of elementary education demands that reading and writing learning not only focus on verbal texts but also integrate visual, auditory, spatial, and interactive modes. This study aims to synthesize the direction of the transformation of Indonesian language learning media in elementary schools and formulate an integrative framework for cognitive-friendly multimodal literacy. This study uses a Systematic Literature Review by adapting the PRISMA flow. Literature was searched through Google Scholar, ERIC, ScienceDirect, and SINTA between 2021 and 2026 using a combination of keywords: multimodal literacy, reading and writing, elementary school, and digital media. Of the 86 initial records, 21 peer-reviewed articles met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed through thematic content analysis. The synthesis reveals four main findings: the shift of media from tools to environments for the production of meaning, the importance of aligning modes with literacy goals, the need for cognitive load management in multimedia design, and the role of teachers as pedagogical mediators and curators of digital resources. The integration of multimodal social semiotics and the Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning provides the basis for balancing representational richness with students' information-processing capacity. These findings also demonstrate that the success of multimodal media is influenced by teacher readiness, device access, and the relevance of the school's local context. The transformation of reading and writing media needs to be directed toward critical, creative, inclusive, and measurable learning designs so that students become not only media users but also producers of multimodal digital texts.

Abstract

This research is the result of Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) on news of the bomb attack at Afghanistan's Kabul International Airport. The purpose of this research is to find out the textual practice of the discourses of the two Indonesian national media as those that can influence the reader's view of news issues. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a three-dimensional theoretical approach from Fairclough, namely textual practice, discourse practice and socio-cultural practice. This discourse analysis research uses three stages in analyzing Fairclough's perspective discourse, namely description, interpretation, and explanation. The results of the text analysis show that the two news’ media have different content. The text on SINDOnews.com often shows actor Joe Biden as the President of the United States who demands accountability and will retaliate against those who carried out the bombings. Meanwhile, Republikasi.ac.id tends to focus more on representing the victims of the bombing. The difference in the focus of news representation in the two media seems to coincide with the different institutional and social contexts of each media.AbstrakPenelitian ini hasil Analisis Wacana Kritis (AWK) pada berita serangan bom di Bandara Internasional Kabul Afghanistan. Penelitian dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui praktik tekstual wacana kedua media nasional Indonesia sebagai alat informasi yang dapat mempengaruhi pandangan pembaca terhadap isu pemberitaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan teori tiga dimensi dari Fairclough yaitu praktik tekstual, praktik wacana dan praktik sosial budaya. Penelitian analisis wacana ini menggunakan tiga tahapan dalam menganalisis wacana perspektif Fairclough, yaitu deskripsi, interpretasi, dan eksplanasi. Hasil analisis teks menunjukkan bahwa kedua media berita tersebut memiliki konten yang berbeda. Teks di SINDOnews.com lebih sering memunculkan aktor Joe Biden sebagai Presiden Amerika serikat yang meminta pertanggungjawaban dan akan membalas pihak yang melakukan pengeboman. Sementara itu, Republikasi.ac.id cenderung lebih fokusmerepresentasikan korban-korban akibat peristiwa bom tersebut. Perbedaan fokus representasi berita yang ada dalam kedua media tersebut tampak bertepatan dengan perbedaan konteks institusi dan sosial tiap-tiap media.

Abstract

In general, each country has different forms of onomatopoeia. The purpose of this study is to examine (1) the differences in the form and lexical meaning of onomatopoeia; (2) the similarities in the form of contextual meaning of onomatopoeia; and (3) the form of onomatopoeic referents found in the Webtoon “Kisah Usil Si Juki Kecil” and Mez et Les Filles de Sar. As a teak speaker who is learning French, the three objectives are very interesting to study because of a number of differences. The research data were obtained through intensive observations which were analyzed qualitatively comparatively. The data sources used are the Webtoon “Kisah Usil Si Juki Kecil” by Faza Meonk and “Mez et Les Filles de Sar” by Cécile Garcia. The results show that the lexical form and meaning of onomatopoeia in the two Webtoons are caused by differences in the author's setting and different phonetic systems. The form and contextual meaning of onomatopoeia in the two Webtoons concerned have similarities in onomatopoeic writing but the meaning in representing different sounds. In the research on both Webtoons, 10 data were found with natural referensi (humans), 2 data with natural referents, namely animals, and 4 data with artificial sound referents from objects. The results of this study are very helpful for foreign language learners in understanding French onomatopoeia.     AbstrakPada umumnya, setiap negara memiliki bentuk onomatope yang berbeda-beda. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji (1) perbedaan bentuk dan makna leksikal onomatope; (2) persamaan bentuk makna kontekstual onomatope; dan (3) bentuk referen onomatope yang terdapat pada Webtoon “Kisah Usil Si Juki Kecil dan Mez et Les Filles de Sar. Sebagai penutur jati yang sedang memperlajari bahasa Prancis, ketiga tujuan tersebut sangat menarik untuk dikaji karena sejumlah perbedaan. Data penelitian diperoleh secara observatif intensif yang dianalisis secara kualitatif komparatif. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah Webtoon “Kisah Usil Si Juki Kecil” karya Faza Meonk dan “Mez et Les Filles de Sar” karya Cécile Garcia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk dan makna leksikal onomatope pada kedua Webtoon tersebut disebabkan oleh perbedaan latar tempat pengarang dan sistem fonetis yang berbeda. Bentuk dan makna kontekstual onomatope pada kedua Webtoon yang bersangkutan memiliki persamaan penulisan onomatope tetapi makna dalam merepresetasikan bunyi yang  berbeda. Pada penelitian di kedua Webtoon, ditemukan 10 data dengan referen alami (manusia), 2 data dengan referen alami, yakni hewan, dan 4 data dengan referen bunyi buatan dari benda. Hasil penelitian ini sangat membantu pembelajar bahasa asing dalam memahami onomatope bahasa Prancis.
