Abstract

This study examines the integration of conservation character values, as promoted by Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), within the Tendances A2: Méthode de Françaishandbook, using an ecolinguistic framework. UNNES, a conservation-oriented university, upholds values such as creativity, humanism, honesty, and fairness, aiming to instill these principles in its students. Since the Tendances A2 handbook was developed in a French socio-cultural context, this research seeks to assess its alignment with Indonesian conservation values through an ecolinguistic lens, which focuses on the relationship between language, culture, and the environment. The study utilized intensive observation and the Bang and Døør dialog model for descriptive and interpretative analysis. The findings show that all eight conservation character values advocated by UNNES are represented in the handbook, with creativity standing out as the most prominent value, emphasizing the handbook’s potential to encourage innovative thinking. Humanism and honesty were also significant, fostering ethical and empathetic communication. This ecolinguistic approach reveals how the handbook, despite its European context, effectively embodies UNNES’s conservation ethos by reflecting the interconnectedness of language, culture, and environmental values. Consequently, the Tendances A2 handbook is highly recommended for use in French Literature courses at UNNES, as it supports both language learning and the cultivation of essential conservation values.

Abstract

Penelitian ini secara khusus mengambil media massa Detik.com sebagai objek penelitian untuk mengkaji kontruksi realitas politik yang dibangun dalam pembingkaian berita yang disajikan seputar pendaftaran pencalonan pasangan Prabowo-Gibran sebagai capres dan cawapres 2024. Secara metodologis penelitian ini mengambil desain penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Secara teoretis, digunakan analisis framing tipe Pan dan Kosicki untuk membedah artikel berita sebagai objek kajian. Setelah dilakukan pembedahan dan analisis terhadap dua buah artikel berita Detik.com mengenai pemberitaan pendaftaran capres-cawapres pasangan Prabowo-Gibran, ditemukan bahwa berita (1) Ucapan Selamat Anies dan Ganjar untuk Prabowo-Gibran yang Daftar ke KPU, dan (2) KPU Digugat Rp 70,5 Triliun Usai Terima Pendaftaran Prabowo-Gibran telah dikonstruksi dengan realitas kenyataan yang sebenarnya terjadi. Media Detik.com mengonstruksi berita sesuai dengan latar belakang polemik dan permasalahan sebagai informasi yang ingin disampaikan. Dalam aplikasinya, berita yang disajikan berfungsi dan bertujuan sebagai cermin, filter, dari kejadian atau realitas kenyataan di lapangan, serta pada berita kedua juga berfungsi sebagai forum informasi yang menuntun masyarakat untuk memiliki pendapat atau ruang pemikiran terhadap masalah yang dibahas. Berita yang konstruksi menampilkan keinformatifan tingkat dua dan tiga yang didukung dengan latar informasi yang nyata serta pemilihan leksikon dan gambar yang tepat.

Abstract

In French language learning, phonological interference still frequently occurs among students at various semester levels. This study aims to identify which vowel sounds experience phonological interference and why students still encounter such interference. The research adopts a deductive approach, starting from a hypothesis and then attempting to validate it through analysis or experimentation. The vowel sounds examined in this study are French vowels [a], [ɑ], [e], [ɛ], [i], [o], [ɔ], [u], [y], [ə], [œ], [ø] in French vocabulary in initial, medial, and final positions. Data sources are obtained from students majoring in French Literature at Semarang State University, from the 2021 and 2022 cohorts or the third and fifth semesters, with the number adjusted according to the male student population in the classes. The method and technique for data analysis involve the articulatory phonetic correspondence method with speech organ determinants. The basic technique used is the determinant element sorting technique with the advanced technique of sorting determinant elements (PUP). The researcher will also employ the comparison linking technique (HBS) if there is equivalence between the pronunciation of French vowel sounds produced by respondents and those produced by the Larousse online dictionary. The vowel sound that experiences the most phonological interference is the pronunciation of [ə] (mid-central unrounded vowel) as [ɛ] (mid-front unrounded vowel) in initial word positions, with a percentage of 50%. Based on gender, male students experience more phonological interference compared to female students. The percentage of phonological interference among male students is 70% by respondents RL3, RL5, RL6, RL7, RL8, RL9, RL10, while for female students, it is 60% by respondents RP1, RP5, RP6, RP7, RP8, RP10. The percentage of interference per vowel sound in the 2021 cohort is 42%, while in the 2022 cohort, it is 58%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis penggunaan modus (mode), kala (temps), dan aspek (aspect) dalam wacana iklan produk wanita yang dimuat di majalah online berbahasa Prancis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi dan memahami bagaimana system verba bahasa Prancis tersebut digunakan untuk mempengaruhi persepsi dan keputusan konsumen. Data penelitian berupa penggalan-penggalan wacana iklan produk wanita yang dipublikasikan di beberapa majalah online www.nocibe.fr. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah teknik dasar sadap lalu dilanjutkan dengan teknik lanjutan yaitu tenik catat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modus yang dominan adalah modus imperatif (mode impératif) sering digunakan untuk memberikan perintah atau ajakan langsung kepada pembaca, sementara modus indikatif digunakan untuk memberikan informasi atau klaim tentang produk. Kala yang dominan adalah kala kini, yang memberikan kesan bahwa manfaat produk dapat dirasakan secara langsung. Aspek yang sering muncul adalah aspek belum selesai (inaccompli) yang digunakan untuk menekankan proses penggunaan produk dan aspek sudah selesai (accompli) yang menekankan hasil atau keberhasilan penggunaan produk. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penggunaan modus (mode), kala (temps), dan aspek (aspect) dalam iklan produk wanita berbahasa Prancis dirancang secara strategis untuk meningkatkan daya tarik iklan, membangun kepercayaan konsumen, dan mendorong penggunaan produk secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of interactive media in improving elementary school students’ writing skills in Indonesian language learning. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this research analyzed ten national and international studies published between 2021 and 2025. The findings reveal that various types of interactive media—such as Padlet, digital storytelling, animated videos, EPUB-based platforms, and artificial intelligence (AI) applications—significantly enhance students’ writing abilities in terms of structure, vocabulary, coherence, and creativity. Moreover, interactive media foster learning motivation, collaboration, and digital literacy among students. The use of interactive digital tools aligns with constructivist learning theories that emphasize active and reflective learning experiences. However, the success of implementation depends on teacher readiness, technological infrastructure, and institutional support. Theoretically, this study enriches the literature on digital-based innovations in Indonesian language learning. Practically, the results serve as a reference for educators and curriculum developers in designing creative, participatory, and contextually relevant writing instruction aligned with 21st-century literacy competencies.

Abstract

This study aims to systematically review research on the use of picture storybooks to enhance critical reading skills in Indonesian language learning at the elementary level. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, this study identifies and synthesizes ten empirical articles published between 2021 and 2025, obtained from Scopus, Google Scholar, and ERIC databases. Thematic analysis was conducted to examine research trends, methods, and key findings. Results indicate that picture storybooks—both printed and digital—effectively foster students’ critical reading through the integration of text and visuals that stimulate reflection, interpretation, and social awareness. Additionally, multimodal learning through picturebooks promotes higher-order thinking by combining cognitive, emotional, and social dimensions. In conclusion, picture storybooks serve as an effective medium for developing critical literacy in Indonesian elementary education.

Abstract

21st-century learning demands integration between technology, pedagogy, content, and cultural context to make the learning process more meaningful, reflective, and inclusive. This research aims to analyze the needs of elementary school students and the readiness of teachers in implementing TPACK-CRT-based learning and to develop a conceptual design for TPACK-CRT learning as an integrative framework. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative elements, involving 40 elementary school students and 3 teachers. Data was collected through questionnaires and the synthesis of TPACK and CRT theories, which were then analyzed using descriptive analysis and conceptual framework building. The results indicate that both student needs and teacher readiness fall into the high category; however, there are differences in orientation: students demand more contextual use of technology, while teachers demonstrate higher readiness in pedagogical and affective aspects. Based on the synthesis results, a conceptual design for TPACK-CRT learning was developed, comprising four main phases: contextual orientation, meaningful technology integration, cultural interaction and collaboration, and humanistic reflection and relevance. This research contributes to strengthening the theoretical framework of TPACK-CRT integration and provides practical guidance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using Flipbook based on the Merdeka Curriculum and the Course Review Horay model in improving poetry writing skills and literacy of students at MI Miftahul Akhlaqiyah. This research uses an experimental design with two sample groups, class 5A as the experimental group with 35 students and class 5B as the control group with 33 students. The experimental group received treatment using Flipbook based on the Merdeka Curriculum and the Course Review Horay model, while the control group received conventional learning. Data were collected through poetry writing tests, literacy questionnaires, and student engagement observations. The results show that the experimental group experienced significant improvement in poetry writing and literacy, with a t-Value of 12.68 and a p-value of 0.000, while the control group showed no significant improvement. This proves that the application of technology in learning, such as using Flipbook and the active learning model Course Review Horay, can effectively improve students' poetry writing and literacy skills. This study suggests that elementary schools, especially MI, integrate technology and active learning models to improve the quality of students' literacy education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using Wordwall media on Indonesian language learning outcomes in the topic of recognizing emotions among second-grade students at SDN Gajahmungkur 04 Semarang. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The subjects consisted of 25 students in the 2025/2026 academic year. The research instrument was a learning achievement test focusing on students’ ability to understand emotional vocabulary and express it in simple sentences. Data were collected through pretest and posttest, then analyzed using a paired sample t-test with SPSS 26. The results indicated a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes after using Wordwall, with the average pretest score of 56.60 and posttest score of 82.40. The sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05 shows that the use of Wordwall media had a positive effect on students’ Indonesian language learning outcomes. Wordwall effectively enhanced students’ conceptual understanding, motivation, and engagement during learning activities. Therefore, Wordwall can be used as an effective interactive learning medium suitable for elementary students, especially in teaching emotional topics such as recognizing feelings.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the trends, directions, theories, approaches, methods, and research gaps in language learning research at the elementary school level in the digital era. The study employed a literature review method by systematically examining national and international journal articles published between 2020 and 2025 that focus on language learning, educational technology, and digital innovation in primary education. The findings indicate that recent research trends emphasize the implementation of innovative, technology-integrated learning models such as Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Game-Based Learning (GBL), Blended Learning, and Project-Based Learning, which have been shown to enhance students’ literacy, motivation, and communication skills. Theoretical foundations commonly used include constructivism, connectivism, and social-cognitive learning theories, with dominant research approaches being Research and Development (R&D) and quasi-experimental designs. The review identifies several research gaps, including the limited integration of artificial intelligence, digital learning analytics, and long-term evaluations of technology-based language learning effectiveness in elementary education. This review provides a comprehensive overview of the future research directions, highlighting the importance of integrating innovative pedagogical approaches and digital technology to foster relevant and meaningful language learning in the 21st century.
