Abstract

AbstractDisease is a physical dimension which is often responded subjectively by the affected individual. The interaction among biological, psychological, and social dimensions of illness can influence the illness cognition of the affected individual. This also applied to individual who suffers from a chronic illness. This study aims to describe the meaning of illness in view of patients with chronic illness. A qualitative phenomenological method was used in this study. Three subjects suffer from a coronary heart disease more than a year participated in this study. In depth interviews and field notes were used to collect data. The results showed that subjects perceived their illness differently. Subject I perceived illness as a test; Subject II perceived illness as a reminder of own weakness; whereas Subject III perceived illness as a warning, absolution, and feeling to be loved by others. The core meaning found in this study is that persons who are able to give meaning to their illness have their optimism for recovery. It can be concluded that illness is a physical as well as a psychological condition; individual respond to symptom of illness differently; and meaning given to illness is subject to change due to the affected person’s situation.

Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah 1) memberikan pengetahuan ketidakjujuran akademik siswa, 2) memberikan pengetahuan identifikasi ketidakjujuran akademik siswa, dan 3) melatih Kelompok Guru SMK Muhammadiyah Cimanggu dan SMK KH. Ahmad Dahlan Cimanggu Kecamatan Cimanggu, Kabupaten Cilacap keterampilan merancang perangkat identifikasi ketidakjujuran akademik siswa. Sebanyak delapan belas orang guru SMK Muhammadiyah Cimanggu dan SMK KH. Ahmad Dahlan Cimanggu mengikuti kegiatan ini. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah, tanya jawab, dan pelatihan. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam kegiatan ini yaitu meningkatnya pengetahuan tentang ketidakjujuran akademik, tentang identifikasi ketidakjujuran akademik, dan keterampilan merancang perangkat identifikasi ketidakjujuran akademik siswa.

Abstract

Hypertension is one type of disease that is usually experienced by adults, where arteries have excessive pressure, which is above 140 mm Hg for systolic and diastolic 90 mm Hg. Hypertension is not only a physical experience, but also needs to be understood as a psychological and social experience. Health is a social problem because it is related to how a person finances his health and access appropriate health facilities. The purpose of this study was to obtain psychosocial dynamics in the experience of hypertension in patients with low socioeconomic status. This study used a qualitative method with an Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) approach through semi-structured interviews. Three participants involved were female, aged 30 to 45 years, and had more than one year suffered from hypertension. This study found six superordinate themes that focused on perceptions of causes, perceptions of hypertension, unpleasant feeling, social resources, improvement efforts, and health development.

Abstract

Organisasi Mahasiswa Pascasarjana merupakan organisasi yang terdiri dari bermacam latar belakang etnis, agama, hingga organisasi masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendapatkan dinamika dalam membangun identitas sosial pada pengurus Organisasi Mahasiswa Pascasarjana. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologis. Pengambilan data dilakukan melalui wawancara semi terstruktur terhadap tiga orang subjek yang merupakan pengurus aktif organisasi tersebut yang berasal dari etnis yang berbeda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kesetaraan dalam posisi diperlukan untuk membangun identitas sosial pada organisasi mahasiswa pascasarjana dalam organisasi yang terdiri dari berbagai macam latar belakang etnis, hal tersebut dapat muncul dalam upaya-upaya seperti keterbukaan untuk menerima kritik dan masukan jika ada perilaku yang kurang sesuai, membuka ruang komunikasi, dan juga perkembangan pola pikir sebagai mahasiswa pascasarjana. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah identitas etnis melebur menjadi identitas sebagai satu organisasi, hal tersebut dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor seperti latar belakang keluarga yang multi-etnis, kompleksitas budaya dari daerah asalnya, dan pengalaman berinteraksi dengan etnis lain.

Abstract

One of the ways to get closer to God is to escape from the world's temptations by going on a journey (safar, mlaku). This study aims to uncover the meaning of spiritual well-being in individuals who perform tirakat mlaku. This article is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The subject of this study is the congregation (jemaat) of Sheikh Abdullah Ibn Mas'ud Sukabumi, who perform tirakat mlaku. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and using interpretive phenomenological analysis. This study found that there are three meanings for those who undergo tirakat mlaku: (1) quality of life, (2) social well-being, and (3) environment well-being. This study also reveals that spiritual well-being is an interrelationship between one's relationship with God, subjective well-being, and socio-environment well-being. This article provides a new perspective on the concept of tirakat as a path to closeness to God, directly affecting the quality of life, social life, and environmental protection.Contribution: The results of this study can be used as a guide in constructing the dimension of spiritual well-being in the context of Islamic psychological theory. While practically, it provides an outlook of the meanings of divinity that are implemented in social activities.

Abstract

Turnover intention often occurs in the working environment. In some companies, the turnover rate can be quite high. It can be affected by the existence of job insecurity and emotional exhaustion. The research method employed a quantitative approach, with the number of 125 health workers as the respondents. The study aimed to determine the effect of job insecurity and emotional exhaustion on turnover intention. The analysis revealed a significant effect of job insecurity and emotional exhaustion on the turnover intention 30.7% and the remaining 69.3% were other factors beyond the study. The lower the job insecurity and emotional exhaustion are, the lower the turnover intention. Turnover intention sering kali terjadi dilingkungan pekerjaan. Pada beberapa perusahaan tingkat turnover dapat dikatakan cukup tinggi. Hal tersebut dapat dipengaruhi oleh adanya job insecurity dan emotional exhaustion. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jumlah responden 125 tenaga kesehatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan skala job insecurity, emotional exhaustion dan turnover intention. Dari hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada job insecurity dan emotional exhaustion terhadap turnover intention 30.7% dan sisanya sebesar 69.3% merupakan faktor lain di luar penelitian. Semakin rendah job insecurity dan emotional exhaustion maka turnover intention semakin rendah

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan mitigasi kebencanaan. Selainitu, meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mengenai Dukungan Kesehatan Mental dan Psikososial.Jumlah peserta dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu 37 orang guru TK Aisyiyah se-Kecamatan Ajibarang.Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini meliputi pemaparan mengenai kebencanaan secara umum, pemaparanmengenai Dukungan Kesehatan Mental dan Psikososial, serta simulasi kondisi bencana alam. Hasil darikegiatan ini adalah peningkatan pengetahuan para guru Taman Kanak-Kanak terhadap kebencanaan danmitigasi kebencanaan. Selain itu, para guru juga memiliki keterampilan mitigasi bencana maupun dukungankesehatan mental dan psikososial.

Abstract

Kebersyukuran pada Pasangan Involuntary ChildlessCouples who want children but cannot have them without intending to do so are said to be involuntarily childless. For the couple, it is not simple. Without a child, a husband and wife who are already married but are experiencing issues or emotions that force them to be childless can understand what gratitude means. Gratitude is one way that involuntarily childless couples can continue to support one another and remain hopeful about having children. This study aims to explore the meaning of gratitude in involuntary childless couples. This study employs a qualitative methodology and phenomenology. Semi-structured interviews, or interviews where the researcher has prepared the questions in advance using the idea of gratitude, are the data collection method. Three married couples with average marriage ages of 13 years, 12 years, and seven years, participated in this study. The study's findings demonstrate that Involuntarily childless couples are grateful for the help they receive from others and feel fortunate to have such support. Additionally, a childless couple always views their actions positively to feel grateful for Allah's blessings.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh religiusitas dan budaya organisasi terhadap organizational citizenship behavior pada karyawan Toserba Pajajaran Kota Banjar. Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah ada pengaruh religiusitas dan budaya organisasi terhadap organizational citizenship behavior pada karyawan Toserba Pajajaran Kota Banjar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini menggunakan seluruh karyawan Toserba Pajajaran Kota Banjar yang berjumlah 97 karyawan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan skala organizational citizenship behavior, skala religiusitas, dan skala budaya organisasi. Uji reliabilitas pada penelitian ini menggunakan Alpha Cronbach dan uji validitas menggunakan product moment. Skala organizational citizenship behavior memiliki koefisien reliabilitas sebesar 0,926, skala religiusitas memiliki koefisien reliabilitas sebesar 0,915, dan skala budaya organisasi memiliki koefisien reliabilitas sebesar 0,935. Teknik analisis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik regresi linier berganda.Hasil analisis data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh nilai Fhitung sebesar 96,246 pada taraf signifikansi 1% dengan nilai p = 0,000 (p<0,01) dan diperoleh hasil determinasi Rsquare adalah sebesar 0,672. Koefisien determinan menunjukkan religiusitas dan budaya organisasi memberikan sumbangan efektif sebesar 67,2% terhadap organizational citizenship behavior. Sedangkan 32,8% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini, seperti kepuasan kerja, kepribadian, motivasi, gaya kepemimpinan, dan sikap kerja.Kata kunci : organizational citizenship behavior, religiusitas, budaya organisasi

Abstract

Organizational citizenship behavior is one of the positive behaviors that employees in higher education need to have because it can have a positive impact on employees and educational institutions beyond what is expected. This research aims to determine the contribution of the organizational citizenship behavior aspect in reflecting/measuring the most dominant organizational citizenship behavior in employees at Indonesian universities and employees at Malaysian universities. The research subjects were lecturers and employees of Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. The research results show that the Indonesian and Malaysian versions of the organizational citizenship behavior scale are valid and reliable. The scale can be utilized optimally as a tool for measuring organizational citizenship behavior in university employees in Indonesia and Malaysia. Further results show that organizational citizenship behavior can be reflected in four aspects, namely altruism, sportsmanship, organizational compliance, and loyalty. Organizational citizenship behavior among employees in Indonesian universities shows the most dominant dimensions of altruism and sportsmanship reflecting organizational citizenship behavior, while organizational citizenship behavior among employees in Malaysian universities shows all the dominant dimensions in reflecting organizational citizenship behavior, namely altruism, sportsmanship, organizational compliance, and loyalty. The findings of this research can contribute to higher education organizations to develop citizenship behavior both individually and in organizations that can encourage the performance of higher education employees in Indonesia and Malaysia.
