Abstract

Purpose: This community service aimed to improve the capacity of village apparatus and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in managing village administration and financial reporting based on accountability and transparency principles. Methodology/approach: The activity was conducted in Bajo Village, Tilamuta Sub-district, Boalemo Regency. A participatory workshop method was applied, involving lectures, discussions, and hands-on practice. The materials covered included village administrative document management, simple bookkeeping, and financial report preparation in accordance with applicable regulations. The program utilized printed materials, Microsoft Excel for bookkeeping exercises, and interactive group discussions to enhance participants’ understanding. Results/findings: The activity improved participants’ knowledge, technical skills, and awareness regarding good governance practices. Village apparatus became more capable of preparing administrative records and cash-based accrual financial reports. Participants also demonstrated a positive shift in attitude towards the importance of transparency and accountability in financial management. Conclusion: The activity enhanced village governance capacity, showing that training and assistance are key to improving accountability and professionalism in administrative and financial management. Limitations: The program was limited in scope to basic administrative and financial management and did not cover advanced digital tools due to limited digital literacy and infrastructure at the village level. Contribution: This activity contributes to the field of public administration, particularly in strengthening local governance at the village level. It supports capacity building for rural institutions and provides a practical model for other community engagement initiatives in administrative and financial training.

Abstract

Purpose: This community service program aims to strengthen the management capacity of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in Bongo III Village, Wonosari District, Boalemo Regency. The goal is to enhance the community's knowledge, skills, and awareness to manage BUMDes professionally, participatively, and sustainably based on local potential. Methodology/approach: The activity was conducted on April 26–27, 2025, in Bongo III Village using a participatory-experiential workshop method. The program applied adult learning principles and the experiential learning cycle (concrete experience, reflective observation, abstract conceptualization, active experimentation) through interactive discussions, group simulations, and business plan development sessions. Data collection was conducted through field observations and in-depth interviews with village stakeholders. No specific software was used. Results/findings: The training increased participants’ understanding of BUMDes institutional concepts, improved managerial skills, and fostered community awareness regarding the importance of transparent and accountable governance. Participants successfully developed a preliminary business revitalization plan based on local agricultural and fisheries commodities. Conclusion: The training strengthened community capacity to manage BUMDes professionally and encouraged active local economic participation. Limitations: The activity was limited in duration (two days) and did not yet include long-term mentoring or monitoring of BUMDes implementation. Contribution: This study contributes to the field of community development, rural economic empowerment, and public administration by providing a contextual model for institutional capacity building at the village level. It is relevant to academics, practitioners, and policymakers involved in rural governance and economic development.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain a description of the institutional of Posdaya in increasing the income of the community in Tolite Jaya Village, Tolinggula Sub District, North Gorontalo District. The research method used qualitative type. Data collection techniques are done through interviews, observation and documentation. The result of the research shows the role of institutional posdaya in improving the family welfare in Tolite Jaya Village Tolinggula Sub District, North Gorontalo regency. The role of Posdaya in Tolite Jaya Village in giving aid is only in the form of money, but there are groups that do not receive the aid because they have not paid. The role of institutional posdaya through the involvement of all parties with the involvement of village governments and members of the established groups. The mechanism of Posdaya institutional work in Tolite Jaya Village is in accordance with the proposed form of assistance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the role of BUMDes in Improving Community Economy in Ayuhula Village, Dungaliyo District, Gorontalo Regency. This research is included in the type of descriptive research with a qualitative research approach. The results of the research show that the active role in the aspect of enhancing the quality of human and community life can be found in this aspect to be able to help socially but economically yet to play a role; In the aspect of strengthening the people's economy as the basis for the strength and resilience of the national economy with BUMDes as its foundation, it is found that BUMDes currently has limited capital so this is quite difficult in doing business expansion; In the apsek trying to realize and develop the economy of the village community, obtained with the limitations owned by BUMDes making it difficult to develop businesses related to the potential of the village: and in the aspect of helping the community to increase their income so as to increase the income and prosperity of the community, found where there is pessimism from the village government that BUMDes managers have not been able to if the businesses in BUMDes have increased.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent of the Effectiveness of Village Funds in 2017-2021 in Economic and Infrastructure Development in Totopo Village, Bilato District, Gorontalo Regency. The research method used is research with a quantitative approach and descriptive type. The results of the study are: The allocation of funds for infrastructure has decreased drastically from IDR 717,120,800 in 2017 to IDR 165,776,000 in 2021. This shows a decrease in the priority or scope of infrastructure development in the last five years. The results of the study found that the main problem lies in the lack of technical supervision, the quality of work that does not meet specifications due to the lack of implementer skills, and low transparency in project implementation. This resulted in infrastructure development not being in accordance with the initial plan. Furthermore, funds for economic development are very volatile, with the highest allocation in 2018 of IDR 425,904,900, but decreased to IDR. 214,267,400 in 2021. This fluctuation indicates inconsistent planning, which hinders the success of the program. The results of the study show that aid planning has not been designed in a targeted manner, so that aid is not always on target. In addition, the monitoring system carried out by the Village Consultative Body (BPD) and the village government is less than optimal, and monitoring of the impact of aid has not been carried out in a structured manner

Abstract

Pada masa saat ini potensi wisata sudah mulai dikembangkan secara masif oleh pemerintah baik ditingkat pusat maupun daerah. Hal ini mengingat bahwa begitu banyaknya potensi alam yang bisa dijadikan sebagai salah satu kegiatan dalam sektor pariwisata. Pelatihan kewirausahaan yang berbasis pada potensi wisata yang ada diharapkan mampu membuka peluang bagi masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan potensi yang dapat meningkatkan nilai ekonomi bagi keluarganya. Sebagai desa yang telah memiliki potensi wisata kelas dunia dengan hadirnya destinasi Pulo Cinta Desa Patoameme seharusnya ikut merasakan berkah atas wisata tersebut. Namun kenyataan yang ada bahwa kehidupan masyarakat yang biasa saja dan seakan tidak mendapatkan berkah atas potensi wisata yang dimilikinya tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah jenis deskriptif yakni dengan lebih pada penjelasan atas pentingnua kegiatan berwirausaha dengan basis wisata, yang kemudian dilakukan seminar mini, menggali potensi yang dapat dikembangakan dengan memanfaatkan potensi yang sudah ada. Harapan dari kegiatan ini adalah bahwa masyarakat mampu mengoptimalkan potensi wisata yang telah ada dengan mengembangkan kegiatan lain berupa penyediaan perahu sebagai alat penyeberangan ke lokasi wisata Pulo Cinta dan juga tentunya penyediaan akomodasi yang dapat ditawarkan kepada para turis lokal maupun mancanegara serta sebagai pendamping bagi turis mancanegara.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of knowing and analyzing the influence of employee recruitment patterns on employee work effectiveness at the University of Muhammadiyah Gorontalo. The research approach used is Quantitative. The results of this study indicate that: Partially, recruitment patterns have a significant influence on employee work effectiveness. The t-count value obtained is 25,454 while the t-table is obtained with a value of 1,994, this means that the t-count is greater than the t-table. Thus the hypothesis that states that recruitment patterns partially have a significant effect on employee work effectiveness is proven; Partially, discipline has a significant effect on employee work effectiveness. The t-count value obtained is 25,454 while the t-table is obtained with a value of 1,994, this means that the t-count is greater than the t-table. Thus the hypothesis that discipline partially has a significant effect on employee work effectiveness is proven; Simultaneously, Recruitment Patterns and Discipline affect Employee Work Effectiveness. Based on the results of the comparison between Fcount and FTable where Fcount of 366.463 is greater than FTable of 3.12768, it can be interpreted that the Recruitment Pattern and discipline simultaneously or together have a significant effect on the effectiveness of Employee Work at the Muhammadiyah University of Gorontalo

Abstract

This study aims to determine the management of Social Assistance (Bansos) in Pentadio Barat Village, Telaga Biru District, Gorontalo Regency. The research method used is qualitative descriptive, in this study data collection through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the study found that the management of Bansos in Pentadio Barat Village, Telaga Biru District, Gorontalo Regency is not optimal. Of the five evaluation indicators, only the responsiveness indicator is running well, while the other four are not optimal. The Bansos program in Pentadio Barat Village is not fully effective and on target. There is a mismatch in data between the village government and the Social Service, as well as the possibility of multiple recipients of assistance. The adequacy of assistance is also a problem, because the amount of assistance does not meet the daily needs of the community, both in nominal terms and quantity of goods. The distribution of assistance is still constrained by data mismatches, limited quotas from the district, and lack of access to information for the community. The village government needs to improve coordination with the Social Service and improve transparency and effectiveness of data collection. The accuracy indicator in the management of Bansos still faces obstacles, especially in the time of distribution and target recipients. Delays from the central government have an impact on the distribution of aid in villages, so there needs to be improvements in the distribution system to make it more timely and on target.

Abstract

Abstract The Tiktok Shop problem is getting hotter day by day. One side believes that Tiktok Shop can be a vehicle for MSMEs to expand their network and increase their market share. However, on the other hand, Tiktok Shop is actually considered a threat and challenge for MSMEs to develop their business because Tiktok Shop is different from other e-commerce, especially regarding the presence of foreign products, procedures that are not carried out well, and it is suspected that Tiktok also acts as a seller so that Tiktok Shop is too overpowered and has a big potential to kill MSME businesses. Moreover, MSMEs are the cornerstone of the Indonesian economy. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the existence of the Tiktok Shop for MSMEs, whether it is an opportunity or a threat. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. This research uses secondary data obtained by researchers from scientific journals, books, credible websites and other reliable sources. The analysis technique in this research uses observation analysis techniques, data collection, data selection, data reduction, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that the existence of Tiktpk Shop for MSMEs is more of a threat than an opportunity. Keywords : Tiktok Shop, MSMEs, Challenges, Oportunity.
