Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze religious research in Indonesia from Mukti Ali's perspective. The description research method is a suitable method to be applied in religious research. Based on the research results, religious research offered by Mukti Ali in his book Religious Research in Indonesia can make a major contribution to the development of Islam, especially Islamic education. A proper understanding of Islam as a whole can provide a broad insight into how to become an ideal Islamic educator. So that he can position himself according to the situation and conditions at hand. A broad understanding of an educator can shape him into an ideal Muslim so that the goals of Islamic education are well achieved. Thus, it is clear that if religious research is carried out properly and uses the right research methods, it can make a major contribution or contribution to various fields, be it social, cultural, political, economic, or educational.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang teori kritis dan budaya populer merupakan dua konsep yang saling terkait dalam kajian sosial dan budaya. Teori kritis, yang berakar pada pemikiran sekolah Frankfurt, berfokus pada analisis struktur kekuasaan, ideologi, dan budaya dalam masyarakat kapitalis. Teori ini menyoroti bagaimana budaya populer, sebagai produk dari industri budaya, berfungsi untuk memperkuat status quo sosial dan ekonomi. Budaya populer, di sisi lain, merujuk pada bentuk-bentuk budaya yang diproduksi, dikonsumsi, dan disebarkan secara luas dalam masyarakat, seperti musik, film, televisi, dan media digital. Teori kritis memandang budaya populer bukan hanya sebagai hiburan semata, tetapi sebagai alat ideologis yang dapat mereproduksi dominasi sosial, memperkuat stereotip, serta memanipulasi keinginan dan persepsi publik. Melalui analisis terhadap representasi dalam budaya populer, teori ini mengeksplorasi cara-cara di mana nilai-nilai dan norma sosial dibentuk dan dipertahankan oleh media dan industri budaya. Studi ini menunjukkan ketegangan antara produksi budaya yang ditentukan oleh pasar dengan potensi resistensi yang muncul dalam karya-karya budaya populer yang bersifat subversif atau kritik terhadap sistem yang ada. Kata Kunci: Teori Kritis, Budaya Populer, Industri Budaya, Hegemoni Budaya, Ideologi dan Perlawanan. Abstract This paper examines critical theory and popular culture, which are two interrelated concepts in social and cultural studies. Critical theory, which has its roots in Frankfurt school thought, focuses on the analysis of power structures, ideology, and culture in capitalist societies. This theory highlights how popular culture, as a product of the culture industry, functions to reinforce the social and economic status quo. Popular culture, on the other hand, refers to forms of culture that are produced, consumed, and distributed widely in society, such as music, film, television, and digital media. Critical theory views popular culture not just as mere entertainment, but as an ideological tool that can reproduce social domination, reinforce stereotypes, and manipulate public desires and perceptions. Through analysis of representations in popular culture, this theory explores the ways in which social values and norms are shaped and maintained by the media and culture industries. This study shows the tension between cultural production determined by the market and the potential for resistance that emerges in works of popular culture that are subversive or critical of the existing system. Abstract

Abstrak Teknologi komunikasi di era digital membawa dampak besar terhadap kehidupan sosial, ekonomi, dan politik, namun dari perspektif Teori Kritis, teknologi ini kerap berfungsi sebagai instrumen dominasi. Industri budaya, algoritma media sosial, dan praktik kapitalisme pengawasan memperlihatkan bagaimana teknologi justru memperkuat ketimpangan, menciptakan alienasi digital, serta membatasi kebebasan individu. Dalam konteks ini, kritik terhadap teknologi komunikasi menjadi penting untuk mengungkap mekanisme dominasi yang tersembunyi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis teknologi komunikasi melalui lensa Teori Kritis dengan menekankan potensi ruang resistensi. Metode yang digunakan adalah kajian pustaka sistematis dengan analisis tematik terhadap literatur primer dan sekunder mengenai dominasi, ideologi, dan perlawanan digital. Pendekatan ini memungkinkan peneliti mengidentifikasi pola dominasi teknologi sekaligus peluang emansipasi melalui penggunaan ruang digital. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meski teknologi komunikasi sering digunakan untuk mengontrol informasi, memonopoli opini publik, dan memperkuat struktur kapitalis, ruang digital juga menyediakan potensi resistensi. Media baru memungkinkan munculnya gerakan sosial, partisipasi publik, dan perlawanan terhadap hegemoni global. Dengan demikian, Teori Kritis menegaskan perlunya kesadaran kritis agar teknologi tidak semata-mata menjadi alat dominasi, melainkan juga sarana emansipasi untuk menciptakan keadilan sosial dan demokrasi. Kata Kunci: Teori Kritis, Teknologi Komunikasi, Industri Budaya, Resistensi Digital, Kapitalisme Pengawasan Abstract Communication technology in the digital era has significantly influenced social, economic, and political life, yet from the perspective of Critical Theory, it often functions as an instrument of domination. The culture industry, social media algorithms, and surveillance capitalism illustrate how technology reinforces inequality, fosters digital alienation, and restricts individual freedom. In this regard, critiques of communication technology are essential to uncover hidden mechanisms of power. This study aims to analyze communication technology through the lens of Critical Theory, emphasizing its potential as a space of resistance. The research employs a systematic literature review with thematic analysis of primary and secondary sources on domination, ideology, and digital resistance. This approach allows the identification of both technological domination patterns and emancipatory opportunities enabled by digital spaces. The findings reveal that although communication technology is often utilized to control information, monopolize public opinion, and strengthen capitalist structures, digital platforms also provide opportunities for resistance. New media facilitates the rise of social movements, public participation, and challenges to global hegemony. Thus, Critical Theory underscores the importance of cultivating critical awareness so that technology can serve not only as a tool of domination but also as a means of emancipation toward social justice and democracy. Abstract

Mazhab Frankfurt, dengan pendekatan kritisnya terhadap masyarakat kapitalis, telah memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam memahami dinamika sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sejauh mana pemikiran Mazhab Frankfurt mempengaruhi gerakan sosial kontemporer di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengidentifikasi konsep-konsep utama Mazhab Frankfurt yang relevan dengan gerakan sosial di Indonesia; (2) menganalisis bagaimana konsep-konsep tersebut diinterpretasi dan diterapkan dalam gerakan sosial; dan (3) mengevaluasi dampak pemikiran Mazhab Frankfurt terhadap dinamika dan keberhasilan gerakan sosial di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan menganalisis dokumen-dokumen gerakan sosial, melakukan wawancara mendalam dengan aktivis, dan melakukan studi kasus pada beberapa gerakan sosial yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsep-konsep seperti alienasi, reifikasi, dan industri budaya yang dikembangkan oleh Mazhab Frankfurt masih relevan dalam menganalisis dinamika gerakan sosial kontemporer di Indonesia. Gerakan-gerakan sosial di Indonesia seringkali mengkritik struktur sosial yang tidak adil, mengupayakan emansipasi, dan mempertanyakan hegemoni kekuasaan. Kesimpulan: Pemikiran Mazhab Frankfurt telah memberikan inspirasi dan kerangka analisis yang penting bagi gerakan sosial di Indonesia. Konsep-konsep yang dikembangkan oleh Mazhab Frankfurt membantu aktivis untuk memahami akar permasalahan sosial dan merumuskan strategi perjuangan yang lebih efektif. Namun, penerapan konsep-konsep tersebut dalam konteks Indonesia membutuhkan penyesuaian dan perkayaaan dengan teori-teori lokal.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of the "Telling Daily Activity “Technique in improving English vocabulary mastery among Grade X students of SMK Pariwisata Arruhul Jadiid Tanak Beak in the academic year 2025/2026. Employing a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design (One Group Pretest-Posttest), the research involved 14 students. Data were collected using vocabulary tests, interviews, and classroom observations. Findings indicate that the average pre-test score was 46.78, while the post-test average increased significantly to 70.35. A paired sample t-test revealed a t-count of 4.704 with a significance level of 0.000 (<0.05), confirming a significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores. These results demonstrate that telling daily activities is effective in enriching students’ vocabulary, enhancing confidence, motivation, and active classroom participation. The study affirms the importance of contextual learning strategies in language acquisition at vocational schools.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to investigate if Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) Model affects students’ reading comprehension. This research was conducted by using experimental research design. The population of this study was the tenth grade of MAS Al-Washliyah Pantai Cermin which has two parallel classes namely X-A and XB. Each class consisted of 19 and 20 students. So, the total number of population was 39 students. Cluster random sampling with Spin the Wheel Technique was employed in selecting the sample. The class X-A was selected as experimental group and the class X-B was selected as control group. The experimental group was taught by applying Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) Model while the control group was taught with Convensional. The instrument used in this research was reading test. The data were analyzed by using t-test. After the data were calculated, it was found that tobserved was higher than ttable (0.001>0.05) with the degree of freedom df =37 at the level of significance α =0.05. It meant that H0 was accepted and H1 was successfully rejected. Thus, applying Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) Model significantly affects students’ achievement in reading descriptive text.

Abstract

The aim of community service is to provide training to participants to develop technology towards teenager psychology and behaviour effect at 83 State Junior High School Jakarta. The method used there are several stages including the preparation phase, which includes initial survey stabilization and determination of locations and targets. After the survey, the location of the implementation and target of the activity participants are determined. The next stage is the implementation phase of Community Services. The stage will be given understanding knowledge and develop technology being useful for teenagers. This session focuses on providing explanation of how teacher can develop technology nowadays. And the last is the training stage with several methods including lectures, questions and answers, and simulations. The results of Community Service are that the participants (teachers) understand more and gain knowledge about develop technology. There are several strategies that can be tried to develop technology, namely 1) Motivation, 2) Delegation and 3) Appreciation. So the teacher does not create products but creates influence.

Abstract

Partners in this program are the Foundation of Our Media. The main problem faced by partners is the teaching staff of households and not from education. As is well known, In the formation of quality resources, the existence of education is a major factor that must get serious attention from all parties. Changes in education also have an impact on the way of thinking of the Indonesian people. Therefore given the strengthening of teacher human resources at the Foundation Media Kita aims to change the institutions that operate it into a team that is sincere, without conflict and internal competition, to achieve a single goal, which is to satisfy customers. 2 (two) types, i.e. 1). internal customers namely school managers such as teachers, librarians, laboratory assistants, technicians and administrative staff; 1) external customers which are divided into: (a) primary customers, namely students. 2) secondary customers, parents, government and sponsors; (b) primier customers such as universities and the world of work who receive graduates of the Foundation.

Abstract

Mitra dalam pengabdian ini adalah Yayasan Ini Media Kita yang berjudul Belajar Menggunakan Metode IB Learner Profile. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberi pengetahuan dan pemahaman mengenai belajar menggunakan metode IB Learner Profile di Kp. Pondok Miri Desa Rawa Kalong Kecamatan Gunung Sindur-Bogor di Yayasan Ini Media Kita. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode pelatihan dan motivasi, pemberian materi, tanya jawab, pendampingan dan praktik langsung serta evaluasi dengan para guru atau tenaga pendidik di Yayasan Ini Media Kita. Kesimpulan dari pengabdian ini adalah para guru atau tenaga pendidik di Yayasan Ini Media Kita dapat mengajar lebih baik sehingga mampu menciptakan kegiatan belajar mengajar yang menyenangkan dengan menggunakan IB dan mampu menciptakan peserta didik yang unggul sehingga dapat meningkatkan sumber daya manusia (SDM) Indonesia Unggul.

Abstract

Kegiatan pegabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman, pengetahuan, dan penagarahan mengenai penguatan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) guru sehingga memperoleh sistem manajemen SDM yang mampu menghasilkan pegawai yang profesional. Adapun metode yang dilakukan berupa penyampian materi dan praktik/penerapannya Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa sebelum pelaksanaan PKM Permasalahan SDM yang berkualitas yang dibutuhkan dalam penyelenggaraan TPA. Penerapan SDM di TPA sangat diperlukan agar penyiapan SDM yang berkualitas tinggi, menguasai ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi, serta keahlian dan keterampilan mendapatkan peran guru dalam meningkatkan SDM (sumber daya manusia) Indonesia unggul amatlah besar,namun setelah pelaksanaan kegiatan diketahui Kegiatan PKM secara tidak langsung sangat berperan positif dalam menyajikan materi pada KBM (kegiatan belajar mengajar) akan menjadikan peserta didik mudah dan cepat menyerap materi pembelajaran yang disajikan sehingga dapat meningkatkan SDM (sumber daya manusia) guru. Metode kegiatan yang digunakan adalah bekerjasama dengan Guru di Yayasan Ini Media Kita. dan mencari pemasalahan yang ada di tempat tersebut sehingga dapat memberikan solusi yang tepat, serta memotivasi Guru di Yayasan Ini Media Kita. Setelah di analisis maka kami memberikan pelatihan dalam bentuk materi dan praktek dalam mengembangkan kemampuan bagi para guru yang berada di TPA tersebut.
