Abstract

This research aims to analyze cooperative’s performance as business entities, cooperative’s contribution towards development, the economic advantage of cooperative for members, and the non economic advantages (satisfaction) of cooperative for members.  This research was conducted purposively at KUD Mina Teluk Semangka in Tanggamus District Lampung Province by a case study method.  Total respondents were 51 members of the cooperative taken by simple random sampling, consisted of fishermen, fish trader and fish processor.  The research data was analyzed by quantitative descriptive analysis, customer satisfaction index analysis and importance performance analysis.  The results of this research showed that business entities performance of KUD Mina Teluk Semangka included into qualified category.  KUD Mina Teluk Semangka has contributed towards the development in good category, based on the obedient of cooperation to pay taxes and the average ratio of labor absorption.  The economic advantage for members was received by the service cost of selling and purchasing.  Total average economic advantages of cooperative’s members per year were Rp922,613.00 for fishermen, Rp386,000.00 for fish trader and Rp394,400.00 for fish processor.  The non economic advantages (satisfaction) for members upon service performance and fulfillment of member’s needs was in high category. Key words: KUD, performance, satisfaction, tripartite

Abstract

This research aims to determine the consumers’ characteristics, the stages of decision making, and consumers satisfaction on buying ABMJ grilled chicken through Gojek e-commerce in Bandar Lampung.  The location was determined purposively, in which samples were 65 people.  The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis method, Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA).  The research showed that the consumers who bought ABMJ through Gofood were mainly single women around 19-24 years old, had bachelor degree, and had monthly income around IDR2,600,000.00-IDR3,500,000.00.  The consumer's decision making process was conducted through the introduction of needs, information search, alternative evaluation, purchase decision, and post-purchase evaluation.  Ease of purchase encouraged consumers to make transaction through Gofood and consumed ABMJ grilled chicken for their meals.  Consumers acquired the resources and information by their friends who had consumed ABMJ grilled chicken.  Price and advertisement in Gofood feature was highly considered by consumers.  The consumers made purchases depending on the circumstances, so there was no planning before and more than three purchases made in the last three months. Consumers were satisfied and would still buy even if the price of the ABMJ grilled chicken increases.  The value of CSI was 79.22 percent; it showed that the customers had been completely satisfied.  Based on the IPA analysis, customers valued that information clarity, photographic clarity, delivery time, and the safety of maintaining confidentiality of consumer’s identity should be improved.Key words: CSI, IPA, purchasing decision, satisfaction

Abstract

The objective of this research were to investigate: (a) the consumption pattern of beras siger, (b) the household consumption pattern (Diserable Dietary Pattern /Pola Pangan Harapan /PPH), and (c) the contribution of beras siger to household energy adequacy of beras siger consumer. This research was conducted at Metro City, South Lampung Regency, and Tulang Bawang Regency used survey method. The research population was beras siger consumer of Mekar Sari Agroindustry (Metro), Siti Hawa Agroindustry (South Lampung), and Toga Sari (Tulang Bawang). There were 25 household, 19 household, and 30 household from Mekar Sari, Siti Hawa, and Toga Sari Agroindustry respectively were taken by quota sampling. Data collection were carried out on May – August 2016 by interview while food consumption data collected by recall method. The method of analysis in this research was descriptive statistic. The result showed that: (a) the average of beras siger consumption of beras siger consumer at Lampung Province was 228,38 gram/household/day, the buying frequency was twice per month, in general beras siger was used as substitute of main food, and beras siger consumer buying beras siger at the factory, (b) the energy consumption level of consumer beras siger household were on good category with Desirable Dietary Pattern (DDH) score : 73,02, and (c) the average contribution of beras siger to energy adequacy was 10,84 percent. Abstract

This study aims to analyze food coping strategies of households and relationship between household characteristics and food coping strategy of targeted household of prosperous rice (Rastra) beneficiaries in Pringsewu District. The research uses survey methods. There are four villages as research locations Fajar Baru and Kemilin that are located in North Pagelaran SubDistrict and Wargomulyo and Tanjung Russia, Pardasuka Sub-District. The research location was chosen purposively. There were 92 respondents in this study that was taken by simple random sampling.  Food coping strategies are analyzed by quantitative descriptive method with tabulation of data and relationship between household characteristics and food coping strategy is analyzed by Pearson correlation test.  The results of the study showed that food coping strategies used by the households were on the first and second scale.  On the first scale, households bought food from preferred to cheaper food, reduced amount of food consumed, and collect wild food or leaves that can be taken on the rice field/garden.  On the second scale, households buy food on credit and take household’s savings. Housewives are the most dominant perpetrators of food coping and all households are in the low category of food coping strategies.  There are negative relationship between food coping strategy and the number of family members, education level of patriarch, the availability of rice, asset, and food expenditure.   Keywords: food coping strategy, prosperous rice, food, rastra

Abstract

This research aims to analyze household income, welfare, and factors that influence the household welfare of vaname cultivators ex-plasma PT Centralpertiwi Bahari. Data of this research was collected in Bratasena Adiwarna village in February 2018. Samples in this research were 70 shrimp cultivators households. Determination of samples with simple random sampling. Primary data was obtained by interviewing respondens, while secondary data was obtained from several related institution. Household income consists of shrimp income, nonshrimp, off-farm and nonfarm income. Household welfare level was analyzed by the Sajogyo criteria and poverty line according to BPS Lampung (2017). The factors that influence household welfare was analyzed by binary logistic regression. The research result showed that the average shrimp income in period I, II, and III were Rp7,986,264; Rp13,868,109; and Rp27,334,963; average household income was Rp64,902,569.00 per year, which was obtained from 70 percent of shrimp income, 10 percent of nonshrimp income, 2 percent of off-farm income, and 18 percent of nonfarm income. The household welfare level based on the Sajogyo indicator showed that 37 percent of household were in moderate and 63 percent were in decent living class, while the BPS poverty line shows that all of households were classified as nonpoor. The level of household welfare of ex-plasma PT Centralpertiwi Bahari was influenced by household income, and household dependents.Key words: income, vaname shrimp cultivator, welfare

Abstract

This research aims to analyze cooperative performance as business entities, cooperative’s contribution towards development, the non economic advantage of cooperative (satisfied) for members, and development strategy of cooperative.  This research was taken at Primkopti in Pesawaran District, Lampung Province which has been chosen purposively.  Data of this research was collected in Desember 2016.  This research uses a case study method.  Total respondents were 54 members of cooperative to answer the third destination. Respondents were taken by simple random sampling method.  The data analysis method used was quantitave descriptive analysis, contribution analysis toward development, customer satisfaction index analysis and SWOT analysis.  The results of this research showed that business entities performance of Primkopti included into less qualified category.  Primkopti has less contributed towards the development of Pesawaran District.  Primkopti’s members satisfaction levels was 70,57 percent, it meant that the members of Primkopti felt satisfied by the performance of the services provided by Primkopti.  Tthe priority strategic of Primkopti are using Primkopti’s financial and capital to collaboration with soybean suppliers, optimizes high community demand of Primkopti’s product (soybean breaker) to increase revenue and resolve soybean’s continuous distribution, using the cheap soybean breaker product prices to dominating the market and competing with competitors. Key words : Primkopti, SWOT analysis, tripartite approach

Abstract

This research aims to find out the comparison of income and the risk of chili pepper (Capsicum annum L.) farming and cayenne pepper (Capsicum Frutescens L.) farming.  The study was conducted in three villages at Sumberejo Sub-district of Tanggamus Regency.  This research used a survey method and respondents in this research were 30 chili pepper farmers and 30 cayenne pepper farmers.  The data analysis used is farm income analysis and risk analysis uses coefficient of variation. To find out the comparison of income and risk of farming was independent sample t-test. The results showed that the income of chili pepper farming was higher than that of cayenne pepper farming with the income of IDR119,047,409.08 per hectare and IDR49,579,450.49 per hectare. There is no significant difference between production risk and income from chili pepper and cayenne pepper farming. The price risk of chili pepper farming is higher than that of cayenne pepper.Key words: Chili farming, income, risk

Abstract

This research aims to know the harvest foreman leadership style, motivation and performance level of harvesters, relation between harvest foreman leadership style and performance of harvester,  relation between work motivation of harvesters and performance of harvester, and relation between harvest foreman leadership style and work motivation of harvesters.  This research was conducted by survey method at PT Perkebunan Nusantara VII UKKS Rejosari Natar of South Lampung.  The research samples consisted of 50 people who were drawn from the population by proporsional random sampling.  The data was collected from June to July 2015 and analyzed by descriptive and rank spearman correlation analysis.  The results showed as follows. The harvest foreman leadership style was democratic leadership style.  The work motivation of harvesters was in high category.  The performance of harvesters was in high category.  The leadership style of harvest foreman was related to the performance of harvesters. The work motivation of harvesters was related to the performance of harvesters.  The leadership style of harvest foreman was related to the motivation of harvesters.Key words: leadership style, performance of harvester, work motivation

Abstract

The aim of this research were to determine perceptions, preferences and consumption pattern and the factors that affected the consumption of cassava snacks by teenagers. This research used survey method. The sampling technique used in this research was Simple Random Sampling. Respondents were 35 students of SMAN 2 Bandar Lampung and 37 students of SMAN 1 Tumijajar. The data were analyzed by quantitative description and verification analysis. The results showed that students's perception of the cassava snacks price, availability of cassava snacks, appearance and image of cassava snacks were considered normal. The students generally preferred cassava snacks with spicy flavor, strong cassava aroma and crunchy texture. The most preferred form of cassava snacks was chips. During a month, teenagers got energy from cassava snacks  that the average is 86 kcal/day for teenagers in Bandar Lampung and 75 kcal/day for teenagers in Tumijajar. The average consumption frequence of cassava snacks by teenagers in Bandar Lampung is 1-2 times per month and 3-4 times per month by teenagers in Tumijajar. Type of cassava snacks that was consumed during the past month was cassava chips, klanting, combro, and tela-tela. Cassava snacks were obtained by purchasing in the shop or in the market, self cooking, and or providing by others. The factors that influence food consumption of cassava snacks are household income, number of teens allowance, environment gender and preferences. The higher of household income and allowance teenagers will make the consumption of cassava snacks greater. Key words: cassava snacks, consumption pattern, perception, preference, teenagers
