Abstract

The aims of this research were to know the productivity of labors of palm fruit reaper and its influencing factors in PT Perkebunan Nusantara VII Unit Rejosari Palm Plantation.  This research was conducted at PT Perkebunan Nusantara VII Unit Rejosari Palm Plantation, Natar Subdistrict, South Lampung Regency. The data was collected from April – May 2015 by survey method. The total respondents for this research were 54 people which were chosen by systematic random sampling method.  Analysis method used in this research was quantitative descriptive and multiple linear regression analysis. The result of this research showed that the productivity of labors of palm fruit reaper at PT Perkebunan Nusantara VII Unit Rejosari Palm Plantation in 2015 was 732.68 kg per day or about 106.71 percent from the target, this was included as insufficient category. The influencing factors on the productivity of labors of palm fruit reaper at PT Perkebunan Nusantara VII Unit Rejosari Palm Plantation were salary and incentive, nutrition and health, education and training; whereas, motivation, age and years of service did not signicantly affect it. Abstract

The purposes of this research are to analyze the added value of tapioca flour, identifying the internal and external environment, and formulate development strategies of tapioca flour agroindustry X in Kalirejo Sub- District. The research method is a case study and data used are primary and secondary data. The data are analyzed by using descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results showed that tapioca flour agroindustry X provided added value of IDR4,475.03/kg of tapioca flour (63.28 %) in grade A; IDR4,084.74/kg of tapioca flour (61.16 %) in grade B; and IDR2,897.05/kg of tapioca flour (52.67 %) in grade C. The internal environment which is the strength of tapioca flour agroindustry X is a quality tapioca flour product and the weakness is the unskilled agro-industry workforce. The external environment which is the opportunity for tapioca flour agroindustry X is technology and the threat is the high product competitiveness. Strategies of tapioca flour agroindustry X are as follows: (a) utilizing quality tapioca flour products to meet consumer demand, (b) utilizing the existence of modern technology by conducting training for workers, (c) increasing the availability of materials standards to meet technological capacity in production, (d) increasing cooperation with suppliers of raw materials to overcome the shortage of raw materials due to the large number of competitors in the same business, and (e) increasing business profits by maximizing the use of technology.Key words: added-value, development strategy, internal and external environment, tapioca flour.

Abstract

This research aims  to analyze: the management of the broiler chicken poultry production of independent supervision, semi-independent and partnership, the cost of goods broiler production independent supervision, semi-independent and partnership in Purwoasri Village North Metro District Metro City and in Kedaton 2 Village Batang Hari Nuban District regency of East Lampung. This research was conducted in October until November 2013. Primary and secondary data were collected in this reserch. The amount of research respondents were three people, who were an independent poultry, semi-independent and partnership. The methods of data analysis used in this research was descriptive, qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results showed that (1) the management of the broiler chicken production with the supervision of partnership was the best with scores 132 higher than the semi-independent and independent supervision. Some of excellence management production partnership supervision were the application of the cleaning system equipment enclosure, transportation of DOC, admission of DOC process to the cage, preservation of the cage, giving the woof and handling of harvest item (2) the highest cost of goods production per kilogram of broiler chicken was the poultry with partnership supervision Rp13,531.00/kg, whereas the poultry with independent supervision was Rp13,496.36 and the poultry with semi-independent supervision was Rp13,109.67/kg. Abstract

This research aimed to analyze procurement of raw materials, production perfomance, fixing cost of goods sold, application of marketing mix, and the sustainability of emping melinjo agroindustry.  The location of this research was chosen purposively in Taktakan Subdistrict Serang City in which samples were all of three emping melinjo Agroindustries.  The data of this research was primary and secondary data that was collected in March – April 2019.  The methods of data analysis used in this research were descriptive, qualitative and quantitative analyses.  The results of this research showed that procurement of melinjo raw materials had not appropriate with the six right criteria which were right on time, place, quality, quantity, type, and price.  Production performance of emping melinjo agroindustry was quite good although the flexibility component had not been fulfilled yet.  Fixing cost of goods sold of emping melinjo agroindustry had been profitable.  Application of marketing mix had been implemented quite well although it needs to be improved in several aspects such as promotion.  The sustainability of emping melinjo agroindustry in Taktakan Subdistrict Serang City has a good prospect. Key words: agroindustry, emping melinjo, perfomance, sustainability

Abstract

This research aims to explore the perception of bread micro industry enterpreneurs about the marketing mix, the performance of bread micro industry, and the influence of the the perception on the performance. The research was conducted in Bandar Lampung using a survey method. The research location was selected purposively because Bandar Lampung city is one of the potential areas to developing bread micro industries. Data of this research were collected in. December 2016. The results showed that enterpreneurs’ perceptions on marketing mixes, in terms of product, price, and promotion mixes are included in important category, while perception in place mix is included in important enough category. Based on the values of return on investment, profit margin, and operation ratio, the micro bakery industries in Bandar Lampung have been included in very good category. The enterpreneurs’ perception on price mix influences the performance of micro bakery industry, while the other mixes do not influence the performance.Key words: bread, marketing mix, micro industry, performance

Abstract

This study aims to determine the motivation, discipline, and the employees’ performance in PT XXX, the effect of work motivation on the employees’ discipline in PT XXX, and the motivation on the employees’ performance both directly and indirectly through discipline in PT XXX.   The data collection was conducted in March 2017.  The method used wasa case study because this study involved all members of the population from the study area.  The available number of respondents in this study were 38 people. The first purpose was analyzed descriptively.  The second and third purposes were analyzed using path analysis.  The employees’ work motivation in PT XXX was included in the medium category (good enough).  The discipline of the employees was inthe good category for each dimension of three, namely working time, carrying out the work, and obeyingrules.  The employees’ performance in PT XXX was included in a good enough category.  In this study motivation did not affect the employees’ discipline in PT XXX.  Discipline had the biggest direct influence on the performance by 65.90 percent, compared with motivation by 36.50 percent,  the indirect effect value of motivation on performance is 11.30 percent.                                                                                                                                              Key words : dicipline, motivation, path analysis, performance employee

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the pattern of food consumption, the pattern of processed local food consumption, and factors that affected the pattern of household food consumption in Pringsewu district.  This research was conducted by survey method.  Location of this research was determined purposively in Margosari Village North Pagelaran subdistrict as program implementers and Mulyorejo Village Banyumas subdistrict are not program implementers.  The amount of research samples in this research was as many as 74 households who were selected by simple random sampling.  The data was collected in month of Apri-May 2017. The data was analyzed by descriptive statistic analysis, and verification analysis by demand consumption function model.  The result showed that the amount of energy consumption of Margosari village was 5,474.17 kcal/household/day and household energy consumption of Mulyorejo village was 4,745.22 kcal/household/day with their Desirable Dietary Pattern (DDP) score 78.24 and 68.96.  Fried bananas was locally processed food sources of energy consumed and have the largest consumption frequency.  Cassava was a local food that has the most processed product.  Most of household got the processed local food by making them self.  The pattern of household food consumption in Pringsewu district was influenced by the household income and number of household’s member.Key words: consumtion pattern, Desirable Dietary Pattern (DDP) score, local food

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the decision-making process in the processed local food choice, the pattern of food consumption, and the pattern of processed local food consumption; in addition to factors that affected the pattern of household food consumption.  This research was conducted by survey method.  Location of this research was determined purposively around agroindustry of tapioca vermicelli in Metro City.  The amount of research samples in this research was as many as 71 households, and the respondents in this research were housewives who were selected by simple random sampling.  The data was collected in month of February – April 2017.  And was analyzed by descriptive quantitative analysis, descriptive statistics analysis, and verification analysis by multiple linear regression.  The result showed that household decision making in processed local food was consist of introduction needs, seeking information, evaluation of the alternative, selection decision, and post-selection evaluation.  The amount of energy consumption was 6,482 kcal/household/day or 1,620 kcal/capita/day.  The score of desireable dietary pattern was only 57.45.  Cassava was one of the most consumed local foods and has the most processed product.  Cassava chips were the processed product of cassava that were consumed in the largest frequency.  Most of household got the processed local food by buying.  The household desireable dietary pattern around agroindustry of tapioca vermicelli in Metro City was influenced by the household number, the age of housewife, and the high rank of nutrition knowledge of the housewife.Key words: consumtion pattern, decision making, local food

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of income of vanname shrimp cultivatiors and analyze the level of technical efficiency and factors that affect the technical efficiency of vanname shrimp farming in the Bratasena Adiwarna Village, Dente Teladas Subdistrict, Tulang Bawang Regency.  The samples in this study were 70 cultivators chosen using simple random sampling method. Data were collected in February - March 2018.  Technical efficiency analysis was tested using the frontier production function, while factors affecting technical efficiency were tested using the exponential function. The results showed that the average income of shrimp cultivation is IDR22,533,081.50 per 0.49 ha of ponds. Vanname shrimp farming is technically efficient with a level of 84.59.  Factors affecting technical efficiency are age and cultivation experience with a 90% confidence level. Key words: cultivators, efficiency, vanname shrimp

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the attitude of consumers toward the purchase of Kamura Bakery bread in Bandar Lampung City, the purchase pattern, and the factors that influence the number of bread purchased.  This research was conducted at Kamura Bakery Sukarame branch in Bandar Lampung City.  The research method is a survey with accidental sampling technique.  Respondents were 60 Kamura Bakery consumers who had bought/consumed Kamura Bakery at least once in the last one month. The research data are analyzed using Fishbein Multi-attribute analysis, descriptive statistics, and multiple linier regression analysis.  Data collection was conducted in June - July 2020.  The results showed that the consumers bought bread at Kamura Bakery mostly because of the taste.  The highest amount of Kamura Bakery’s bread purchased was chocolate flavor, the average number purchased was 28 pieces per household monthly, and the average frequency was seven times a month.  The price of sweetened condensed milk and household income have a significantly negative effects on the number of purchase, while the number of family members has a significant positive effect on the number of bread purchased.
