Abstract

This article discusses the implementation of positive discipline as an approach to creating child-friendly schools in the context of the Merdeka Curriculum. The research aims to identify effective strategies for implementing positive discipline to enhance a supportive learning environment for the holistic development of children in schools, as well as its successes and challenges. The research method used is qualitative study with a descriptive analytical approach. Data were collected through participatory observation, interviews with teachers and principals, as well as analysis of school policy documents and curriculum. The results show that the implementation of positive discipline in the Merdeka Curriculum can help create an inclusive, collaborative, and supportive school culture that promotes the social-emotional development of children despite challenges in its implementation. This article provides insights into the importance of positive discipline approaches in creating child-friendly schools and offers recommendations for the development of more supportive practices and policies at the school level.

Abstract

The present curriculum emphasizes contextual learning, which can be used to shape a generation that appreciates the environment and develops character based on ecological principles. The purpose of this study is to describe the innovation of implementing Madurese local wisdom eco-curriculum at Pamekasan Middle School. This study uses a qualitative research method. The data sources for this study were 4 principals of Pamekasan Middle Schools, the deputy head of curriculum, teachers, and students. The research data were in the form of observation results, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study are (1) the preparation of an independent curriculum with Madurese local wisdom integrated with environmental values ​​at Palengaan 2 Middle School, Larangan 1 Middle School, Pameksan 4 Middle School, and Gro’om Middle School, which includes a series of systematic and planned steps, starting from learning planning to developing teaching modules. Awareness of the importance of protecting the environment can be instilled through a learning approach that is relevant to the local context. All activities are designed by considering the Learning Components, Learning Objectives, and Learning Tools. The challenges faced are very diverse and complex, covering various aspects that affect the effectiveness of curriculum implementation. The potential of the Merdeka Curriculum with Madura's local wisdom in creating a generation that cares about the environment is significant. This is reflected through cultural values, which are needed to become agents of change who are committed to environmental conservation.

Abstract

Local traditions surrounding the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages among Madurese communities have received limited scholarly attention, particularly within comparative transnational contexts. While existing studies documented the cultural significance of pilgrimage in Madura, less is known about how these traditions are reconfigured when Madurese communities migrate and inhabit different socio-political environments. This study examined how Hajj and Umrah practices are organized, experienced, and transformed among Madurese communities in Indonesia and among Madurese migrants in Malaysia. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation involving community members, religious leaders, and academics. The findings revealed a clear contrast between the two contexts: in Madura, pilgrimage traditions remained highly visible and communally celebrated, reinforcing social cohesion and moral recognition, while in Malaysia these practices tended to be simplified and selectively expressed as adaptive responses to minority positioning, sociopolitical regulation, and norms of public visibility. The study demonstrated that Hajj and Umrah function not only as acts of worship but also as culturally embedded performances through which identity, belonging, and social legitimacy are negotiated within transnational social fields. By foregrounding the interplay between ritual, culture, and mobility, this research contributes to broader discussions on lived Islam, migration, and the dynamic transformation of religious practices across national boundaries.

Abstract

This study examines directive speech acts in the form of commands and prohibitions used by Indonesian language teachers with liberal and conservative ideological orientations in classroom learning interactions. The study employs a qualitative research design with an ethnographic approach. The data were obtained from the utterances of seven liberal- and conservative-oriented teachers across four educational institutions at different levels (junior and senior high schools) in Malang City. The selection of teachers from different educational levels was intended to represent variations in pedagogical practices based on students’ developmental stages, while Malang City was chosen due to its diversity of educational institutions and academic cultures that allow for the emergence of varied ideological orientations and directive speech strategies, particularly commands and prohibitions. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal clear differences in the use of directive speech acts of commands and prohibitions between liberal and conservative teachers. Liberal-oriented teachers tend to employ indirect directive strategies that emphasize politeness, dialogue, and learner autonomy, thereby creating a more egalitarian and participatory classroom atmosphere. In contrast, conservative-oriented teachers more frequently use direct and explicit directive speech to maintain order, discipline, and clarity of instruction. Both groups demonstrate communicative flexibility by adjusting directive strategies to situational demands, indicating that the use of commands and prohibitions is dynamic and context-dependent. These findings affirm that directive speech acts of commands and prohibitions reflect teachers’ cultural values and ideological orientations and have important implications for the success of Indonesian language learning in the classroom.

Abstract

Literasi membaca merupakan salah satu keterampilan yang harus dibudayakan. Membaca adalah Langkah awal untuk menguasai semua keterampilan berbahasa. Melalui membaca individu lebih mudah mendapatkan informasi dan bisa berpikir kritis, sehingga meningkatkan kualitas dirinya. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan penerapan e-book dan e-learning serta pelaksanaan budaya literasi membaca pada siswa di SMKN 3 Pamekasan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Deskriptif kualitatif digunakan untuk menemukan data atau fonomena terkait budaya literasi membaca pada siswa SMKN 3 Pamekasan, dengan cara mewawancarai guru bahasa indonesia. Data dianalisis dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SMKN 3 Pamekasan merapkan e-book dan e-learning untuk memudahkan siswa dalam belajar serta membudayakan literasi membaca selama 10 menit  untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa. Sehingga siswa dapat membuat karangan kata-kata maupun kalimat yang indah dan membuat cerpen.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explain how Padlet media is used to improve poetry writing skills among students of MTsN 4 Pamekasan. This study applies a descriptive qualitative method. Data were obtained through participant observation, semi-structured interviews involving students and teachers, and collecting documentation of poetry written by students. The data analysis process was carried out qualitatively by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The findings of this study indicate that the use of Padlet has a positive effect on the development of students’ poetry writing skills. Padlet offers a collaborative and interactive platform, which helps students share thoughts, provide feedback, and revise their writing. In addition, Padlet successfully increased students’ motivation and involvement in the process of learning to write poetry. Thus, Padlet media can be an effective choice in teaching poetry writing at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah level.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan bagaimana media Padlet digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis puisi di kalangan siswa MTsN 4 Pamekasan. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara semi-terstruktur yang melibatkan siswa dan guru, serta pengumpulan dokumentasi puisi yang ditulis oleh siswa. Proses analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif dengan cara mereduksi data, menyajikan data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Padlet memberikan efek positif dalam pengembangan keterampilan menulis puisi siswa. Padlet menawarkan platform yang kolaboratif dan interaktif, yang membantu siswa berbagi pemikiran, memberikan umpan balik, dan merevisi tulisan mereka. Selain itu, Padlet berhasil meningkatkan motivasi dan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses belajar menulis puisi. Dengan demikian, media Padlet bisa menjadi pilihan yang efektif dalam pengajaran menulis puisi di tingkat Madrasah Tsanawiyah.

Abstract

Keunikan dan perbedaan gaya belajar siswa menuntut guru untuk memiliki kemampuan dalam memilih secara tepat model pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa dan tujuan yang hendak dicapai. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran berdiferensiasi pada materi transformasi cerpen menjadi puisi yang meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan hasil dari penerapan model pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Instrumen penelitian yang berperan dalam proses pengumpulan data adalah peneliti sendiri. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu guru bahasa Indonesia dan siswa kelas XI-TKJ. Informasi yang diperlukan diperoleh secara langsung dari informan tersebut. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Tahapan analisis data yang dilakukan meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran berdiferensiasi pada materi transformasi cerpen menjadi puisi efektif digunakan, namun pada indikator keberhasilan belum sepenuhnya menyeluruh. Penerapan model pembelajaran berdiferensiasi pada materi transformasi teks cerpen menjadi puisi mencakup beberapa aspek, yaitu diferensiasi konten, proses, dan produk. Simpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu dengan penerapan model pembelajaran berdiferensiasi maka peserta didik merasa senang dan merasa mendapatkan perhatian yang lebih dengan dipenuhinya kebutuhan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran.

Abstract

The utilization of technology in learning evaluation can enhance the quality of learning in the classroom. The use of digital applications can be employed in the evaluation process, particularly in Indonesian language subjects. This study aims to describe the utilization of the Wordwall application as a digital learning evaluation tool and a new alternative to increase student motivation. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. The data sources in this study are 20 students of class 7 at MTs Bustanul Ulum Tagangser Laok Waru Pamekasan, and the data were obtained from tests and questionnaires. Data collection techniques include tests and interviews. The results show that the Wordwall application can improve student learning outcomes and increase motivation, and students responded positively to the use of the Wordwall application in Indonesian language learning. Thus, the utilization of the Wordwall application is effective in increasing student motivation and making the evaluation process of Indonesian language learning more fun and interactive.Pemanfaatan teknologi dalam evaluasi pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di kelas. Penggunaan aplikasi digital dapat digunakan dalam proses evaluasi pembelajaran terutama mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemanfaatan aplikasi Wordwall sebagai evaluasi pembelajaran digital dan alternatif baru untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Sumber data pada penelitian ini yaitu 20 siswa kelas 7 di MTs Bustanul Ulum Tagangser Laok Waru Pamekasan dan data diperoleh dari test dan kuisioner. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa test dan wawancara. Sedangkan teknik analisis datanya Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi Wordwall dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dan meningkatkan motivasi belajar, serta para siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap penggunaan aplikasi Wordwall dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Dengan demikian,  pemanfaatan aplikasi Wordwall efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dan membuat proses evaluasi pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia menjadi lebih seru dan interaktif.

Abstract

Dalam proses pembelajaran guru harus mampu menentukan tes yang cocok untuk digunakan dalam menilai kemampuan siswa dalam memahami materi yang diajarkan. Dimana, instrumen penilaian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan hasil dari penggunaan tes subjektif dalam evaluasi pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia pada materi keterampilan menulis teks cerita isnpiratif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif berupa penjelasan mengenai penggunaan tes subjektif sebagai evaluasi keterampilan menulis teks cerita isnpiratif. Sumber data utama dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas IX MTs Hidayatut Thalibin. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan proses tes dan wawancara singkat. Hasil analisis data dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan penggunaan tes subjektif merupakan penilaian utama dalam pembelajaran cerita inspiratif, guna mengetahui kemampuan menuulis teks cerita inspiratif mulai dari kesesuaian isi dengan tema, pengorganisasian struktur, dan penggunaan diksi. Data yang didapat akan dianalisis, secara kualitatif melalui proses menulis, pengamatan, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam evaluasi pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia pada materi cerita inspiratif dengan penggunaan tes subjektif ini hasil yang di dapat mencerminkan kemampuan peserta didik yang sebenarnya.

Abstract

The use of Edpuzzle as an evaluation tool offers an interactive and enjoyable approach to measuring students' understanding in learning. The purpose of this research is to understand the steps in using and the results of Edpuzzle media as an evaluation tool for learning explanatory text material. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The research results show that Edpuzzle provides a more interactive learning experience for students in understanding explanatory text material. Students appeared more focused and active when answering questions embedded in the instructional video. In conclusion, 8 students scored above the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM), indicating better engagement in the evaluation process. Penggunaan Edpuzzle sebagai alat evaluasi menawarkan pendekatan interaktif dan menyenangkan dalam mengukur pemahaman siswa pada pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui langkah-langkah penggunaan dan hasil media Edpuzzle sebagai alat evaluasi pembelajaran materi teks eksplanasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Edpuzzle memberikan pengalaman belajar yang lebih interaktif bagi siswa dalam memahami materi teks eksplanasi. Siswa tampak lebih fokus dan aktif saat menjawab pertanyaan yang disisipkan dalam video pembelajaran. Kesimpulannya terdapat sebanyak 8 siswa memperoleh nilai di atas KKM, yang mengindikasikan adanya keterlibatan yang lebih baik dalam proses evaluasi.
