Abstract

The Marshall stability and flow of asphalt mixes are key performance indicators of their durability and suitability for use in the pavement industry. Achieving the optimal bitumen content and volumetric properties through mix design is critical and depends on the characteristics of the materials used. Recycling waste materials in asphalt is also vital for promoting environmental sustainability. The development of machine learning models plays a crucial role in predicting the performance of such asphalt mixes. This study explores the use of a machine learning approach to predict the performance of waste tyre metal fibre-modified asphalt mixes. A dataset consisting of 75 experimental data points from various mix proportions was compiled to train and test the model. The study used 60/70 penetration grade bitumen and five modified mixes with waste tyre metal fibre (WTMF) contents of 0%, 0.375%, 0.75%, 1.125%, and 1.5%. Decision tree regression was effectively employed to establish the relationship between the input variables. The predictive ability of the model was assessed using R-squared, adjusted R-squared, and mean absolute error. The input parameters included fibre content, bitumen content, aggregate percentage, and porosity. Analysis of the input variables showed that stability decreased while flow increased with higher fibre and bitumen contents. With an R² of 0.901 for training and 0.937 for testing phases, decision tree regression proved to be an effective model for predicting the performance of these modified asphalt mixes.

Abstract

The Heart Technique is claimed by its users and creator to be effective in overcoming specific phobias in just 20 to 30 minutes. This study aims to test the effectiveness of The Heart Technique in online settings toward specific phobias. The research used two-group pretest–posttest design in individual and group sessions. The participants were 130 people aged 18-58 years, domiciled in Indonesia, selected using purposive sampling. The measuring instruments are Subjective Unit of Distress (SUD) and Severity Measure For Specific Phobia-Adult. The results of the Mann Whitney-U analysis showed that there was a significant decrease in the measurement of the two measuring instruments (p<0.05). Although individual and group sessions were able to significantly reduce the severity of the phobia to a neutral or non-phobic category, this technique was more effective in individual sessions as seen from the Wilcoxon test (p<0.05). The results showed that The Heart Technique can be used as an alternative solution to overcome psychological problems, especially phobias.

Abstract

State financial management in the Indonesian Air Force environment faces challenges in realizing transparency and accountability. This study aims to evaluate the use of the Agency Level Financial Accounting System Application in improving transparency and accountability of financial management in the Indonesian Air Force. This research method is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies in various Indonesian Air Force work units that have implemented the Agency Level Financial Accounting System Application. The results of this study are that the implementation of the Agency Level Financial Accounting System Application in the Indonesian Air Force has increased transparency through more systematic recording of financial transactions that are easily accessible to related parties. Accountability has also been increased with the audit trail feature that allows detailed tracking of each financial transaction. The conclusion of this study is that the use of the Agency Level Financial Accounting System Application is effective in realizing transparency and accountability of financial management in the Indonesian Air Force environment, although there are still challenges that need to be overcome.

Abstract

Perkembangan dan kemajuan teknologi informasi telah membawa perubahan yang sangat signifikan pada berbagai aspek kehidupan, termasuk dunia usaha dan pemasaran. Kemajuan jaringan internet, perangkat mobile, serta hadirnya berbagai aplikasi berbasis digital membuka peluang yang luas bagi masyarakat dan pelaku usaha untuk memperluas jangkauan pasar tanpa terbatas oleh ruang dan waktu. Permasalahan yang dialami oleh BUMDES atau UMKM Desa Mbawi yang belum mampu mengoptimalkan teknologi IT ataupun platform digital untuk promosi dan penjualan komoditi dan olahan Warga Desa Mbawi, dengan kata lain SDM terhadap pengelolaan IT (pemasaran digital) masih rendah. Tujuan dari pengabdian dan pelatihan ini untuk peningkatan kemampuan (terampil) dalam pengelolaan platform digital media sosial dan website e-commerce. Metode yang diterapkan yaitu metode demonstrasi dan interaktif yang melibatkan 15 orang Pengurus BUMDES/UMKM. Tahapan kegiatan meliputi (1) Pemberian instrument tes awal; (2) Workshop Penerapan IT terkait Promosi dan Penjualan secara digital (Media Sosial dan Web E-Commerce); (3) Pelatihan secara mandiri dan kelompok terhadap pengelolaan platform digital (4) Evaluasi pelatihan IT melalui pengisian instrument untuk mengetahui peningkatan pengelolaan IT dan keterampilan pengurus BUMDES/UMKM. (5) Mengetahui Tingkat kepraktisan terhadap Web E-Commerce yang dibuat dalam menunjang Pemasaran Digital. Hasil Workshop IT menunjukan peningkatan yang signifikan. Rata-rata skor tes awal sebesar 60,70 menunjukkan masih rendahnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan pengurus BUMDES/UMKM, sementara skor rata-rata tes akhir mencapai 82,67. Sementara Tingkat kepraktisan terhadap Web e-Commerce dengan rata-rata 85.  Hal ini membuktikan bahwa metode demonstrasi dan interaktif melalui workshop IT / Pemasaran Digital, diskusi individu/kelompok dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan pengelolaan IT terhadap BUMDES/UMKM.

Abstract

This research aims to review the impact of suboptimal land on the growth of shallot plants by integrating the latest findings from related scientific studies. This review includes an evaluation of shallot plant growth parameters that are influenced by suboptimal land conditions, as well as land management strategies that can be used to increase plant productivity. Through this comprehensive approach, it is hoped that this review will provide in-depth insight into the complexity of interactions between shallot plants and their growing environment.

Abstract

The establishment of a business will require an appropriate strategy in developing the business. The smoked fish business CV Putra Kresna in Brondong Village, Lamongan Regency, is one of the well-known businesses in processing smoked fish in Lamongan. This research aims to: (1) analyze the internal and external environmental conditions of the smoked fish business CV. Putra Kresna, (2) analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the smoked fish business at CV Putra Kresna, (3) analyze the business development strategy of the smoked fish business at CV. Putra Kresna. This research is used to obtain descriptive qualitative data. The methods used are observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The research focus is aimed at the internal and external environmental conditions as well as the appropriate marketing development strategy to be applied to the smoked fish business of Cv Putra Kresna. The research location was carried out at the location of Cv Putra Kresna in Brondong Village, Lamongan Regency. Data analysis was carried out using SWOT matrix analysis, and IE Matrix. After analyzing the results of the internal and external conditions of the smoked fish business marketing of Cv Putra Kresna, the main strength lies in the ease of obtaining raw materials, the main weakness lies in the limited distribution channels to modern markets, the main opportunity lies in the business development of smoked fish and the main threat lies in government regulations related to food product standardization. The formulation of alternative strategies using the SWOT matrix resulted in four alternative marketing developments for the Smoked Fish Business Cv Putra Kresna, namely (1) Utilizing proximity to fish landing sites to obtain fresh raw materials in a short time after fishermen's catches; (2) Developing distribution channels; (3) Increasing product innovation; (4) Ensuring compliance with government regulations regarding food product standardization.

Abstract

AbstrakKeselamatan kerja merupakan faktor yang tidak dapat diabaikan dalam industri proses. Salah satu lapisan proteksi yang dapat menjamin keselamatan kerja pada suatu industri adalah Safety Instrumented System (SIS). Perancangan SIS yang diatur dalam standar ANSI/ISA No. 84.00.01-2004 meliputi tahap analisis, tahap implementasi, tahap operasi, dan tahap verifikasi. Miniatur pasteurisasi di Laboratorium Manajemen Sistem Instrumentasi dan Kontrol akan dijadikan objek pembelajaran untuk memahami konsep tingkat safety serta perancangan SIS. Analisis risiko dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Hazard and Operability Study dan Risk matrix, dan ditentukan nilai Safety Integrity Level  (SIL) untuk miniatur pasteurisasi dengan metode Risk graph. Perancangan SIS dilakukan dengan membuat kombinasi-kombinasi dari delapan konfigurasi sistem. Perhitungan dengan Fault Tree Analysis digunakan untuk mengetahui besarnya Probability of Failure on Demand average (PFDavg) yang diperlukan dalam penentuan SIL dari tiap kombinasi SIS. Rancangan terbaik dipilih berdasarkan analisis Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) dengan mempertimbangkan nilai PFDavg dan biaya. Penambahan SIS pada miniatur pasteurisasi menghasilkan peningkatan nilai Risk Reduction Factor (RRF) keseluruhan sistem sebesar 83 kali dibandingkan dengan sebelum penambahan SIS. Hasil dari perancangan tersebut kemudian diuji dengan menggunakan Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Allen Bradley RS Logix 5000.

Abstract

AbstrakFasilitas laboratorium pengujian meter gas di Direktorat Metrologi Kementerian Perdagangan menggunakan bell prover sebagai standar. Bell prover yang tersedia masih menggunakan skala jenis mekanis dengan rentang 100 "“ 600 liter dan 1 liter per skala. Ketidaktepatan membaca skala mekanis dapat mempengaruhi hasil pengujian meter gas. Untuk itu dibuat alat bantu pembacaan volume bell prover dengan sensor ultrasonik tipe HC-SR04 yang dipasang pada arduino. Alat bantu ini memanfaatkan jarak bobot pengatur kecepatan pada bell proverterhadap lantai. Perubahan ketinggian bobot pengatur kecepatan sebanding dengan perubahan ketinggian skala volume. Alat bantu ini memiliki akurasi terkecil sebesar 83,17% dan kesalahan sebesar 16,83% pada volume 100 liter, sedangkan akurasi tertinggi sebesar 99,76% dan kesalahan terkecil sebesar 0,02% pada volume 600 liter.

Abstract

AbstrakPrototipe yang dibuat dalam penelitian ini dapat menentukan luas lingkaran dalam silinder tegak secara otomatis.Silinder tegak yang diukur adalah silinder berbahan akrilik berdiameter 30 cm dan tinggi 30 cm yang dianggap mewakili Tangki Ukur Tetap Silinder Tegak atau TUTSIT.Prototipe ini menggunakan komponen inti berupa sensor ultrasonik berjenis HCSR04, bergerak dengan bantuan motor stepper dan mikrokontroler Arduino Mega. Secara umum, prototipe telah berfungsi dengan baik dalam mengukur jarak hingga sejauh 100 cm. berdasarkan hasil pengujian, untuk pemasangan sensor ultrasonikbaik secara horizontal dan vertical, daerah ukur pembacaan sensor pada sumbu-x dan sumbu-y menunjukan daerah ukur yang hampir sama dan meningkat seiring bertambahnya besar jarak yang diukur. Linearitas penunjukan jarak 0-100 cm dari prototipe memenuhi persamaan y = 0,98 x + 0,9091 dengan nilai R2sebesar 99,98%. Dengan jarak yang sama, selisih terbesar pembacaan prototipe pada uji histerisis terjadi pada titik 0 cm yaitu sebesar 2 cm. Pada pengujian kemampuan pembacaan jarak ketika sensor berputar dengan kelipatan 450, prototipe dapat menunjukkan jarak sesuai dengan jarak yang ditentukan. Adapun pada pengukuran luas lingkaran dalam silinder pada ketinggian 15 cm dan 21, prototipe menunjukkan kesalahan -7,84% dan presisi 100%. Pengukuran ini diperoleh melalui pengukuran jari-jari dalam lingkaran dalam silinder di delapan titik.

Abstract

A texture analyzer is a standard device to measure food texture properties. This study aims to develop a mini compression test machine prototype that can function as a texture analyzer with simple operation and portability. The components and materials were chosen based on: low cost, manufacturability, and availability in the local Indonesian market. The prototype dimension was 375 × 215 × 450 mm, and used a linear ball screw slider for the translation movement with a 200 mm effective sliding distance. For obtaining the compression load, a 10 kg load cell was used, and it was replaceable by a load cell with a lower capacity if a higher measurement accuracy was required. After calibration, the linear vertical displacement and load cell had ±0.1 mm and ±1 g of accuracy, respectively. The prototype was tested to measure the texture properties of potato chops. As a result, the machine could successfully measure the load and displacement data and detect a crack phenomenon, verifying its usability as a food texture analyzer.
