Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan pengaruh limbah tahu sebagai pupuk organik cair terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman tomat (Lycopersicum esculentum) dan pemanfaatanya sebagai media pembelajaran berupa poster. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Green House Biologi FKIP UNTAD dari bulan November 2020 sampai Februari 2021. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan desain rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) percobaan satu faktorial yang terdiri dari 4 taraf perlakuan (P0=kontrol, P1=200 ml, P2=400 ml, P3=600 ml) dan 3 ulangan. Parameter yang diamati pada penelitian ini yaitu tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah cabang, jumlah buah, dan diameter batang pada 15 HST, 30 HST, 45 HST, dan 60 HST. Parameter yang hitung yaitu jumlah buah dan berat buah pada 60 HST. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan pertumbuhan dan produksi terbaik yaitu perlakuan P1 dengan dosis pupuk organik cair limbah tahu 200 ml. Hal ini dapat dilihat pada analisis variansi tiap parameter yaitu tinggi tanaman dengan nilai Fhit 4.90 > Ftab 4.07, jumlah cabang nilai Fhit 8.14 > Ftab 4.07, jumlah daun nilai Fhit 7.13 > Ftab 4.07, diameter batang nilai Fhit 12.92 > Ftab 4.07, jumlah buah nilai Fhit 11.83 > Ftab 4.07, dan berat buah nilai Fhit 11.36 > Ftab 4.07, maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pupuk organik cair limbah tahu dapat berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman tomat dengan dosis terbaik terdapat pada pemberian 200 ml pada saat 60 HST. Berdasarkan uji validasi dan telah diujikan pada mahasiswa secaran keseluruhan hasil penelitian sangat layak dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran dengan persentase rata-rata 81,84%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi gaya belajar siswa di SMP Negeri 3 Kota Palu dan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh gaya belajar terhadap hasil belajar siswa di SMP Negeri 3 Palu. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel adalah simple random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data gaya belajar menggunakan angket dan wawancara, untuk hasil belajar siswa menggunakan dokumentasi. Penilaian angket menggunakan skala likert yang berisi lima tingkat preferensi skor jawaban 1 sampai 5. Untuk menguji hipotesis menggunakan uji statistik non parametric uji tanda (sign test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa SMP Negeri 3 Kota Palu memiliki gaya belajar visual sebanyak 44 siswa (30%), gaya belajar auditori dimiliki 21 siswa (14%), gaya belajar kinestetik dimiliki 41 siswa (62%), gaya belajar visual-auditori dimiliki 4 siswa (6%), gaya belajar visual-kinestetik yaitu dimiliki 6 siswa (9%), dan dimiliki 8 siswa (5%). Nilai Z sebesar -10.439 dengan p value (Asymp. Sig. 2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, artinya ada pengaruh gaya belajar terhadap hasil belajar IPA di SMP Negeri 3 Kota Palu.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan adanya pengaruh model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah IPA pada siswa kelas VIII SMPN Model Terpadu Madani Palu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimental dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VIII SMPN Model Terpadu Madani Palu berjumlah 147 siswa yang terbagi dalam 5 kelas. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 60 siswa terdiri dari 30 orang siswa kelas Ki Hajar Dewantara sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 30 siswa kelas Raden Saleh sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen pada penelitian ini adalah tes dalam bentuk essay dan lembar observasi yang terdiri dari lembar observasi guru serta lembar observasi siswa. Instrumen penelitian telah divalidasi oleh ahli dengan hasil kriteria sangat baik untuk digunakan dalam penelitian. Teknik analisis data untuk uji hipotesis menggunakan uji independent t test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,017 < 0,05 maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Artinya terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah IPA. Inkuiri terbimbing penting untuk disebar luaskan agar guru menjadi terbiasa menerapkannya.

Abstract

Learning motivation is a key element in achieving optimal learning outcomes. Observations at SMANOR Tadulako Palu revealed that the learning motivation of grade XI B students is still moderate and requires improvement. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the extent to which the implementation of problem-based learning and culturally responsive learning improves learning motivation. This study used a classroom action approach, conducted in two cycles through planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instrument used was a learning motivation questionnaire, and the data were analyzed descriptively. There was an increase in student learning motivation, as evidenced by the fact that in the pre-cycle phase, only five students were in the very high motivation category, while in the second cycle, this number increased to thirteen. The combined implementation of problem-based learning and culturally responsive learning has proven effective in increasing learning motivation by creating more contextual, engaging, and relevant learning that reflects students' cultural backgrounds.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of video-based learning media on student learning outcomes in Biology class X at SMA Negeri 5 Palu. The background of this study is based on the low student learning outcomes caused by the use of learning media that are still predominantly conventional, such as lectures and textbooks. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research subjects consisted of 66 students, divided into an experimental class (X M1, 33 students) with video-based learning treatment, and a control class (X M2, 33 students) with conventional methods. The research instruments included a questionnaire to determine student responses and learning outcome  tests in the form of pre-tests and post-tests. Data analysis was carried out through validity tests, reliability tests, swimmer tests, and non-parametric tests (Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and Mann-Whitney U Test) with the help of SPSS. The results showed that both the experimental and control groups experienced an increase in learning outcomes from pre-test to post-test, but the experimental group obtained a higher average score with a significant difference (p < 0.001). The questionnaire reliability test produced a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.826 which is included in the very reliable category. The Mann-Whitney test showed a mean rank of the experimental group of 50.00, higher than the control of 17.00. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of video-based learning media has a significant effect and is more effective than conventional methods in improving students' understanding of Virus material in Biology subjects.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Team Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model assisted by Mysterious Card Box (KOKAMI) media on students' Biology Science learning activities and outcomes at SMP Negeri 19 Palu. Teacher-centered learning models tend to reduce student interaction and participation, so a more active and innovative approach is needed, such as TGT with KOKAMI media to improve student learning activities and outcomes. The research method used was quasi-experiment with post-test only control group design. Data were collected through activity observations and learning outcome tests, with samples taken purposively. Data analysis was carried out quantitatively through comparison of the average scores of experimental and control classes. The t-test results using SPSS ver.29 showed a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.001 < α 0.05. Thus, the alternative hypothesis (H1) which states that there is a significant difference in activity and learning outcomes between the experimental and control classes is accepted. This shows that the application of the TGT cooperative model assisted by KOKAMI media has a real effect in increasing the activity and learning outcomes of Biological Science. This model has the potential to be applied more widely to improve the quality of science learning at the secondary school level.

Abstract

Metacognitive knowledge refers to what is known about memory function and the strengths and weaknesses of one's own cognition. This research aims to describe the influence of the problem-based learning model on the metacognitive knowledge and learning outcomes of class IX junior high school students. The research was carried out on Class IX students of Palu City Middle School, the entire population of Class IX consisted of three classes with a total of 45 students. Two classes were used as samples determined based on purposive sampling. Metacognitive knowledge data was obtained through questionnaires and learning outcome data through essay and multiple choice tests. Data analysis used an independent t-test with the help of SPPS version 25.0. The results showed that metacognitive knowledge with conventional learning was significantly lower than the PBL class with a gain of t(25) = 9.289, p < 0.000 and learning outcomes in the conventional class were significantly lower than the PBL class with a gain of t(25) = 4.520, p < 0.000. The conclusion of this research is that there is an influence of the problem-based learning model on the metacognitive knowledge and learning outcomes of class IX SMP students

Abstract

The reason for this review is to portray imaginative reasoning abilities and science-critical abilities to think in middle school understudies by using issue-based learning models. The study was directed at class VIII students at one of Palu City's junior high schools. The population of class VIII consists of five classes totaling 160 students. Purposive sampling was used to select two classes as samples. Data on problem-solving and creative thinking abilities were obtained through essay tests. The instruments used were teaching modules, LKPD, and tests. Information investigation utilized an autonomous t-test with the assistance of SPSS variant 25.0. The findings revealed that the creative thinking skills in conventional classes were significantly lower than problem-based learning classes t(62)=13.56, p<0.001, and problem-solving skills in conventional classes were considerably lower than problem-based learning classes t(62)=14.63, p<0.001. Thus, this study concludes that the creative thinking skills and problem-solving abilities of Class VIII SMP students in science subjects can be empowered by implementing a problem-based learning model.

Abstract

Dalam Kehidupan memerlukan kebugaran Jasmani untuk meningkatkan sistem kekebalan tubuh sehingga menjadikan tubuh yang sehat. Kebugaran jasmani melalui latihan fisik dengan teratur baik dengan melalui olahraga, kegiatan kebugaran maupun dengan aktivitas fisik lainnya tubuh akan mempertahankan fleksibilitas, kekuatan, daya tahan yang diperlukan untuk menjaani kehidupan sehai-hari dengan baik kemudian kebugaran jasmani juga dapat mengurangi resiko penyakit kronis, pencegahan cidera, dan meningkatkan umur yang Panjang. Metode yang digunakan yaitu dengan memberikan layanan promosi Kesehatan. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan memberikan pre-post test berupa pertanyaan guna untuk menjadikan tolak ukur pemahaman dan keefektifan dari penyuluhan yang diberikan. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman bahwa kebugaran jasmani harus dilakukan karena sangat penting dalam meningkatkan aktivitas sehari-hari dan keberlangsungan hidup.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the impact of using the ChatGPT website in the learning process of Biology students at SMA Negeri 1 Torue. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The subjects in this study were students from SMA Negeri 1 Torue XI and XII, with the number of subjects taken as 10% of the total student population, with 32 students in grade XI and 30 students in grade XII. Data collection techniques involved using a questionnaire filled out by the students, with evaluations using a Likert scale. Observations at SMAN 1 Torue revealed that students have extensively used ChatGPT in the learning process during discussions, and the use of ChatGPT in the biology learning process has both positive and negative impacts. The results of this study indicate the impact of ChatGPT use on the cognitive aspect with an average total percentage of 59%, on the affective aspect with an average total percentage of 69%, and on the psychomotor aspect with an average total percentage of 41%. It can be concluded that there is an impact of using the ChatGPT website in the learning process of Biology students at SMA Negeri 1 Torue.
