Abstract

This study aims to analyze and evaluate entrepreneurial management—covering Planning, Organizing, Implementing, and Supervising (POAC)—in realizing entrepreneurship education at SMKN 1 Buduran Sidoarjo. The research problem focuses on how the school’s Teaching Factory, particularly the Titik Satu Kopi school café, manages its entrepreneurial program to develop students’ entrepreneurial character amid the challenges of the Industrial Revolution 5.0 and the high unemployment rate among vocational graduates. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach using a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the principal, vice principal for curriculum, café manager, and supervising teachers; direct observation of café operations and student practice activities; and document analysis related to school entrepreneurship programs. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model—data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate three main results: (1) entrepreneurial management at SMKN 1 Buduran is effectively implemented through structured POAC stages, supported by BLUD regulations that provide financial and managerial flexibility; (2) the Teaching Factory café strengthens students’ entrepreneurial character, particularly proactivity, innovation, responsibility, and risk-taking skills through real business practice; and (3) the café functions not only as a business unit but also as a practical learning laboratory that aligns school programs with industry standards. Theoretically, the study provides a model integrating managerial functions with practical entrepreneurship learning in vocational education. Practically, the findings offer recommendations for strengthening Teaching Factory management and serve as a reference for other vocational schools seeking to implement entrepreneurship-based learning.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the quality of new student admission services and develop a reliable and valid questionnaire to measure four key constructs: admission system quality, intention to apply, prospective student satisfaction, and initial academic service effectiveness. Instruments used in this context often lack psychometric evidence, raising concerns about their reliability and accuracy. The questionnaire was developed through item generation based on theoretical reviews, expert validation, and a pilot test involving 34 postgraduate prospective students. Validity was assessed using Corrected Item–Total Correlation with reference to critical r values, while reliability was evaluated with Cronbach’s Alpha, which showed a very high internal consistency (? = 0.992). These results confirm strong preliminary validity and reliability. Further validation through exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) is planned for future studies with larger and more diverse samples to assess the instrument's factorial structure and model fit. The pilot test revealed that all 88 items exceeded the critical r threshold, confirming preliminary validity. However, the sample size and context limit generalizability, and future research should involve larger and more varied samples, as well as cross-institutional testing, to strengthen construct stability. This instrument can be effectively used for data-driven evaluation and quality improvement of student admission services in higher education institutions. It provides administrators with a reliable tool to enhance admission service delivery.

Abstract

Inclusive education requires teachers to design learning activities that meet the needs of students with special needs. The One Teacher One Innovation Program at SLB Dharma Wanita Kebonsari and SLB Putra Idhata in Madiun Regency was implemented to improve teacher competencies while producing contextual learning innovations. This study evaluated the program using the CIPPO model with a qualitative multi–case study approach through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The results show that the program aligns with the need to enhance teacher competencies and is supported by adequate learning facilities and school leadership. Implementation took place systematically through planning, execution, and continuous supervision. The resulting learning innovations succeeded in increasing student interest and engagement. In addition, the outcomes of the study indicate increased self-confidence and professional appreciation among teachers. Another significant impact was observed in graduates with special needs who were involved in the innovation products. They demonstrated real improvements in skills such as self-care, literacy, communication, and vocational abilities, making them better prepared for everyday life after graduation and able to apply these skills independently outside of school. These findings affirm that the program not only improves the quality of learning but also provides long-term benefits for the development of competencies among students with special needs.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to empirically analyze the influence of self-discipline and peer environment on the academic achievement of junior high school students in Sepaku District, both partially and simultaneously, within the framework of integrating internal and external factors of adolescent development. A quantitative approach with an explanatory research design was used to test the influence of self-discipline and peer environment on students’ academic achievement through inferential statistical analysis. The study population consisted of 1,125 students, with a sample of 137 students determined using the Slovin formula at an 8% error rate. Data were collected through questionnaires, documentation, and observation, and then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results indicate that self-discipline has a positive and significant effect on the academic achievement of junior high school students in Sepaku District. Students’ ability to manage time, obey rules, and maintain consistency in learning plays an important role in improving academic performance. Conversely, the peer environment has a negative and significant effect, indicating that less supportive social interactions can reduce students’ focus, commitment, and learning outcomes. Simultaneously, these two variables contribute 52.0% to the variation in academic achievement, suggesting that learning success is influenced by the synergy of internal and external factors.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to boost teachers' confidence and help discover students' talents and interests through the use of podcast media in speech and poetry practices at SDN Tebon. The low confidence of teachers in delivering oral-based material and the limited outlets for student expression are the background reasons for this activity. The activity was attended by 20 participants, consisting of 10 teachers from SDN Tebon and 10 teachers from PAUD Kelurahan Tebon. The methods used included situation and condition analysis, microlearning, modeling & demonstration teaching, instructional practice, and reflection. Evaluation results showed a significant increase in post-test scores compared to pre-test, with an average gain of 20.98%. The most important improvement was observed in indicators directly related to the use of podcasts, including recording skills, understanding the benefits of the medium in learning, and teaching students to speak clearly. This training successfully equipped teachers with innovative skills to integrate digital technology, boost their confidence in teaching, and effectively develop students' talents and interests in speech and poetry reading.

Abstract

Academic libraries are evolving from traditional repositories into dynamic learning hubs that require continuous evaluation of service quality to ensure excellent service delivery. However, existing measurement instruments such as SERVQUAL and LibQUAL(+) often require contextual adaptation to fully capture user-centered experiences in modern academic libraries. This study aims to develop an instrument for assessing library service quality based on excellent service principles. The study employed a literature-based instrument development approach by reviewing established service quality models and their adaptations in library contexts. The process included identifying key dimensions, constructing indicators, and synthesizing item formulations derived from prior validated frameworks. Emphasis was placed on integrating SERVQUAL dimensions with excellent service indicators relevant to academic library environments. The results indicate that library service quality can be systematically operationalized into several core dimensions, including friendliness, responsiveness, service speed, communication ability, and professionalism. These dimensions are consistently supported by previous empirical studies and can be translated into measurable indicators suitable for Likert-scale assessment. In conclusion, the developed instrument provides a theoretically grounded and contextually relevant framework for evaluating excellent service in academic libraries. It offers a practical basis for future empirical testing and can support library managers in improving service quality based on structured user feedback.
