Abstract

Aqidah is the foundation that builds the Islam religion and as the basic for someone’s worship can be accepted so that aqidah becomes very important in the Muslim’s life. To instill a true and strong aqidah, namely tauhid, is through education that starts from childhood. Parents can give the aqidah education to their children by utilizing educational shows, one of them being animated series called Riko The Series on the YouTube platform. This research aims to analyze the aqidah education values contained in Riko The Series Season 1 Episode 10, entitled “Knowing the Isra Mi'raj Event”. The method used in this research is qualitative with content analysis and documentation techniques. The results showed that there are several aqidah education values contained in episode 10, namely 1) thayyibah sentences: astaghfirullah, greetings, Alhamdulillah, Subhanallah, Bismillah, Maasyaa Allah; 2) Asma’ul Husna: Al-Jamil, and 3) Faith in Allah’s Prophet: Isra Mi’raj’s Event.

Abstract

The study was a research and development aimed at developing learning package based on scientific approach, On Material Teorema Phytagoras which was valid, practical, and effective for Junior High School’s students. The development procedure used in the study was based on Thiagarajan’s model or 4-D model consisted of four phases, namely defining, designing, developing, and dissemination. The development learning package based on scientific approach had been validated by the experts and practitioners and had been revised; thus, it obtained feasible result to be used. The results revealed that the learning package based on scientific approach was valid, practical, and effective. The learning package that were RPP, student’s book, and student’s worksheet was valid due to the extremely valid category, practical because it was in completely conducted and effective as well because it had met the criteria of effective.

Abstract

This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 12 Kerinci. Based on the results of observations, there is still no perfect strategy applied by a teacher in the learning process. Learning is still centred on the teacher (Teacher-Centered) and student activity in learning is still lacking, students generally listen, pay attention, take notes and do the tasks given by the teacher. This causes students' mathematics learning outcomes to not be achieved optimally. One of the efforts made to improve students' ability to learn mathematics is through the power of two active learning strategy. This strategy requires all students in each team to be active so that it can have an impact on better learning outcomes. Based on the background, the following problems can be formulated: Are the mathematics learning outcomes of students using the power of two active learning strategy higher than the learning outcomes of students using the grop to grop active learning strategy in class X SMA Negeri 12 Kerinci in the 2019/2020 academic year. The purpose of this study was to determine the comparison of students' mathematics learning outcomes using the power of two active learning strategy with the grop to grop active learning strategy in class XI SMA Negeri 12 Kerinci in the 2019/2020 academic year. This research is an experimental research. The population in this study consisted of 3 (three) classes totalling 83 people. Furthermore, of the three classes, two classes will be taken as samples, withdrawing samples using random sampling techniques, so that the selected experimental class I is class XA totalling 28 people, who use the power of two active learning strategy and experimental class II is class XC 28 people, who use the active learning strategy grop to grop. The data in this study were taken from the final test scores. For hypothesis testing, the t-test formula was used. From the analysis results obtained tcount = 0.929 and ttable = 1.673. Thus, tcount> ttable so the hypothesis H0 is rejected and the hypothesis H1 is accepted. It is concluded that the mathematics learning outcomes of students taught with the power of two active strategy are higher than the mathematics learning outcomes of students using the grop to grop active learning strategy.

Abstract

The integration of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) in the education curriculum is one of the strategic steps in preparing a generation that is adaptive to technological developments and global challenges. STEM-based education encourages students to develop critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills through an interdisciplinary approach. In the context of the curriculum, STEM implementation presents challenges in terms of syllabus adjustments, teacher training, and procurement of adequate learning facilities. However, STEM integration also offers great opportunities to create an educational ecosystem that is relevant to the needs of the 21st century workforce. This article discusses the basic concepts of STEM integration, implementation strategies in the curriculum, and its impact on students' readiness to face the industrial revolution 4.0 and a dynamic future. Based on the analysis of literature and practices in various countries, it is identified that collaboration between the government, educational institutions, and the private sector is needed to support the success of STEM integration in the education system. Thus, STEM integration is expected to be a strong foundation in building a competent, innovative and globally competitive generation.

Abstract

Project-based learning (PBL) is an innovative approach to curriculum development aimed at fostering creativity and collaboration among students. This approach integrates student-centered learning with real-world projects relevant to professional environments and everyday life. In project-based learning, students actively engage in exploration, investigation, and the creation of products or solutions, motivating them to think critically, work in teams, and develop communication skills. This article explores how project-based curricula are designed and implemented to promote deep student engagement, enhance 21st-century skills, and create meaningful learning experiences. Additionally, the challenges and strategies for implementing project-based education are discussed, including the critical role of teachers as facilitators and the integration of technology to support learning. Consequently, this approach emerges as a viable solution for creating a more relevant and adaptive education system in the era of globalization.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' mathematical problem-solving skills and mathematical communication through the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model integrated with ethnomathematics. This model is designed to enhance students' ability to deeply understand mathematical concepts by utilizing local cultural contexts as a medium for learning. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The study subjects comprised mathematics education students from a university. Data were collected through mathematical problem-solving tests, mathematical communication tests, and observation sheets to evaluate student engagement during the learning process. Data analysis was performed using descriptive and inferential statistics to identify significant differences between the experimental group (using PjBL integrated with ethnomathematics) and the control group (using conventional teaching models). The results indicate that the implementation of PjBL integrated with ethnomathematics significantly enhances students' mathematical problem-solving skills and mathematical communication compared to conventional teaching methods. Furthermore, students involved in project-based learning within a local cultural context were better able to relate mathematical concepts to real-life situations, fostering conceptual understanding and creativity. This study concludes that the integration of ethnomathematics in the PjBL model effectively improves the quality of mathematics education in higher education institutions.

Abstract

Principal's transformational leadership style plays an important role in creating a conducive organizational climate in the school environment. This study aims to analyze the influence of the principal's transformational leadership style in building a positive work culture, increasing teacher motivation, and encouraging effective collaboration among all school stakeholders. The method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis. The results showed that principals who applied transformational leadership style were able to inspire a shared vision, provide individual motivation, and facilitate teachers' professional development. In addition, principals who act as transformational leaders can create a supportive work environment, increase team trust, and encourage innovation in the learning process. This study emphasizes the importance of implementing transformational leadership styles in an effort to improve the quality of school management and support the creation of a harmonious and productive organizational climate.

Abstract

Social education plays an important role in shaping individuals who care about the social environment and humanity. However, conventional approaches often lack the ability to capture students' attention and build deep emotional engagement. This research explores the potential of music integration as an innovative tool in social education to enhance empathy and social awareness. Music has the unique ability to bridge cultural differences, stimulate emotions, and encourage deep reflection on social issues. In this study, qualitative methods were used to analyze the impact of music on students' understanding of social themes, such as social justice, diversity and solidarity. The study involved observations, interviews, and analysis of the experiences of students who participated in music-based learning programs in several secondary schools. The results showed that music not only enriched the learning process, but also significantly improved students' ability to feel empathy for others and understand complex social issues. Thus, music integration in social education can be a transformative approach to creating a more socially sensitive, caring and responsible generation.

Abstract

The Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) approach has become an innovative paradigm in education, offering multidisciplinary integration to address 21st century learning challenges. This article discusses the importance of applying STEAM to create holistic learning in higher education. By integrating science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics, this approach aims to develop critical thinking skills, creativity, collaboration and innovation in students. Through the collaboration of various higher education institutions, this article explores STEAM implementation strategies in the curriculum, highlighting the role of each discipline to create integrative and relevant learning experiences. The study also includes an analysis of the challenges and opportunities in implementing STEAM concepts, including the adaptation of technology and the role of art in enhancing students' innovativeness. The results show that the STEAM approach can increase students' engagement in learning, strengthen their problem-solving skills, and prepare them for the dynamic world of work. Therefore, the application of STEAM is recommended as a sustainable educational model to support the transformation of education in higher education.

Abstract

The development of technology in the digital era has brought significant transformation in various aspects of life, including education. Indonesian E-learning emerges as an innovative solution to support effective, flexible and inclusive learning. This platform allows students to learn anytime and anywhere, with various interactive features such as learning videos, quizzes and discussion forums. E-learning also provides opportunities for teachers to deliver materials creatively, increase student engagement, and facilitate the evaluation of learning outcomes. This research aims to examine the effectiveness of Indonesian e-learning in improving students' language competence, both in the aspects of reading, writing, listening, and speaking. With a qualitative descriptive analysis approach, the results show that the integrated use of e-learning can increase students' learning motivation, facilitate adaptive learning, and support the achievement of educational goals in the digitalization era.
