Abstract

The aim of the current research is to describe and examine the impact of using Sevima Edlink e-learning as a medium for learning Indonesian at the junior high school level. The research method used in the current research is a qualitative method using a case study approach.. The data collected used observation and interviews with the aim of obtaining information about teacher and students' experiences regarding digital-based learning media. The primary data used is a description of the use of the Sevima Edlink application in Indonesian language learning activities. Secondary data is in the form of literature studies originating from books, articles, proceedings, theses and other media. The data that has been collected will be analyzed according to the discussion of related topics using data reduction, presentation and conclusion methods. The research results show that students prefer the learning process using digital media compared to conventional learning. One way is to use the Sevima Edlink application as a learning medium in class. There are advantages and disadvantages of the Sevima Edlink application from the perspective of teachers and students.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the influence of smartphones on student engagement in state university students in the city of Surabaya. This study used 85 total samples. This type of research is quantitative research using survey methods with the following stages; observation of research locations, preparation of questionnaires, distribution of questionnaires, validity testing, data collection, processing of research results, analysis of research results, discussion. The results showed that the influence of smartphones on student engagement was 0.057 or 5.7% with a significance of 0.028 <0.05. Test results t-table is greater than t-count, i.e. t-count = 2.232 ≥ (t-tab) = 1.989. it can be proven that there is a variable influence of smartphone use on student engagement in state university students in the city of Surabaya. This can be proven from the results of the t test, namely t count 2.232 greater than table 1.989 with a significance level of 0.028. This means that there is an influence on smartphone use on student engagement. Furthermore, when reviewed from the results of the Model Summary table on the R test square scored a coefficient of determination of 0.057 or 5.7%. This means that the variable smartphone use (X1) has a contributing influence on student engagement (Y) by 5.7% and the other 94.3% is influenced by other variables outside the variable of smartphone use.

Abstract

This study aims to develop augmented reality application technology as a learning medium for ecosystem material in science subjects at the primary education level. The research belongs to a Research and Development (R&D) study employing the Holistic 4D Model (Define, Design, Develop, Deploy), limited to the Develop stage. The instrument used for data collection was an open-ended questionnaire to determine the feasibility of the media, with development subjects including expert review, one-on-one, and field test. Expert review involved media experts, subject matter experts, and instructional design experts who are competent in the field of educational technology. The one-on-one trial was conducted with three fifth-grade students in primary education, while the field test was carried out with 24 students at the same grade level. The results indicated that the Augmented Reality Media for Ecosystem Learning is highly valid. This was based on scores obtained from subject matter experts (3.80, highly valid category), media experts (3.83, highly valid category), and instructional design experts (3.81, highly valid category). The response to the media implementation reached 91% in the one-on-one trial and 87% in the field test. These findings demonstrate that the Augmented Reality Media for Ecosystem Learning is feasible to be used in learning within primary education.
