Abstract

This community service project is an implementation of research findings. Hydroponic farming offers an innovative solution to land scarcity and soil degradation in urban areas. Its success heavily depends on the management of nutrient solution quality, particularly in terms of electrical conductivity (EC) and temperature. In the local hydroponic farm, residents were still using manual methods that are inaccurate and lack data logging capabilities. Therefore, an EC and temperature sensor-based monitoring system integrated with LabVIEW was developed. The system is designed to provide real-time readings, color-coded visual indicators, and automatic data logging. Testing was conducted over six days at a lettuce hydroponic installation, yielding an average EC deviation of 3.2% compared to a reference device. The measured temperature range remained within the ideal range (26.1–28.3°C). The system operated stably with a 1-second reading interval, low power consumption, and compatibility with local conditions. Positive user feedback highlighted its ease of use and practical benefits in plant maintenance decision-making. Through this appropriate technology approach, the system has the potential to serve as a model for smart household-scale agricultural development in urban areas

Abstract

Matematika memiliki peran strategis dalam membentuk kemampuan berpikir logis, analitis, dan pemecahan masalah. Namun, pembelajaran matematika, khususnya materi aritmatika sosial, masih menghadapi kendala seperti rendahnya minat belajar, dan kurangnya inovasi dalam penyajian bahan ajar. Di era digital saat ini, pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dalam pembelajaran menjadi suatu keharusan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan e-modul serta mendeskripsikan kelayakan hasil pengembangan e-modul aritmatika sosial berbasis PMRI di madrasah tsanawiyah. Jenis penelitian yang diterapkan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan mengikuti tahapan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation). Lokasi penelitian di MTsN 2 Aceh Besar, dengan melibatkan 32 siswa di kelas VII sebagai subjek penelitian. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan lembar validasi ahli materi, lembar validasi ahli media, lembar kepraktisan oleh guru dan lembar kepraktisan oleh siswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa E-modul Berbasis PMRI pada Materi Aritmatika Sosial di MTs. Hasil kevalidan dari segi isi materi menunjukkan tingkat persentase sebesar 89,5% dengan kategori “sangat valid”, sedangkan kevalidan dari segi media menunjukkan tingkat persentase sebesar 92,2% dengan kategori “sangat valid”. Hasil uji kepraktisan oleh guru terhadap e-modul menunjukkan tanggapan tingkat persentase sebesar 94,7% yang “sangat praktis”, begitu juga hasil uji kepraktisan oleh siswa menunjukkan tingkat persentase sebesar 92,3% yang “sangat praktis”. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-modul berbasis PMRI pada materi aritmatika sosial di MTs yang telah dikembangkan dinilai memenuhi kriteria valid dan praktis digunakan sebagai bahan ajar interaktif dengan pemanfaatan IT dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Kemampuan spasial matematis merupakan satu di antara hal penting dalam pembelajaran matematika. Dengan kemampuan ini akan memudahkan siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar pada materi Geometri. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana kemampuan spasial matematis siswa pada sekolah Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 4 Aceh Besar ditinjau dari perbedaan gender dalam menyelesaikan masalah jarak antar unsur bangun ruang kubus pada dimensi tiga. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah 2 orang siswa bergender laki-laki dan 2 orang siswa bergender perempuan berdasarkan kemampuan spasial matematis. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes tulis kemampuan spasial dan melakukan wawancara kepada siswa. Teknik analisis data dengan mereduksi data penelitian, menyajikan data penelitian , dan membuat kesimpulan. Teknik pengecekan keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa bergender laki-laki dan siswa bergender perempuan, keduanya dapat melalui tahapan indikator spasial matematis dengan sangat baik. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan spasial matematis siswa bergender laki-laki maupun perempuan keduanya baik namun ada perbedaan diantara keduanya dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan dimensi tiga, siswa bergender perempuan lebih teliti dan lebih lengkap ketika menjawab persoalan serta membutuhkan waktu lebih lama dibandingkan siswa bergender laki-laki yang menyelesaikan soal secara praktis, singkat dan cepat.AbstractMathematical spatial ability is one of the important things in learning mathematics. This ability will make it easier for students in the learning process on Geometry material. This research aims to describe the mathematical spatial abilities of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 4 Aceh Besar students in terms of gender differences in solving distance problems between cube elements in the third dimension. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research type. The research subjects were 2 male students and 2 female students based on mathematical spatial abilities. Data collection techniques were carried out by writing spatial ability tests and conducting interviews. Data analysis techniques by reducing data, presenting data, and making conclusions. The data validity checking technique uses source triangulation. The results of the research show that male and female students can both go through the stages of mathematical spatial indicators well. It can be concluded that the mathematical spatial abilities of male and female students are both good, but there are differences between the two in solving three-dimensional problems, female students are more thorough and more complete and take longer than male students who solve problems practically, briefly and fast.

Abstract

Matematika merupakan ilmu pengetahuan yang mempunyai kedudukan penting dalam ilmu pengetahuan dasar yang menjadi pendukung bagi kemajuan teknologi dan juga pendukung bagi ilmu lain. Meskipun matematika sangat penting dipelajari, akan tetapi kenyataannya masih banyak masalah yang muncul dalam matematika, fokus pada lemahnya kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal kontekstual atau soal cerita, dan salah satu cara mengatasi permasalahan tersebut dengan membelajarkan melalui model Problem Based Learning. Adapun tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal kontekstual yang diajarkan dengan model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Rancangan penelitian dengan rancangan Quasi eksperiment. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan simple random sampling. Dari populasi seluruh siswa kelas VIII MTsN 2 Aceh Besar. Sampel terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas kelas VIII/2 sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas VIII/3 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes yang berisi soal kontekstual berbentuk uraian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan berdasarkan uji-t, maka diperoleh dan . Karena sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan menyelesaikan soal kontekstual yang diajarkan dengan model PBL lebih baik daripada siswa yang diajarkan dengan model konvensional

Abstract

Dismenore merupakan keluhan yang sering dialami oleh wanita saat mengalami menstruasi yang ditandai dengan adanya nyeri kram perut pada bagian bawah. Prevalensi dismenorea di dunia sebesar 1.769.425 jiwa (90%) wanita yang mengalami dismenorea berat sebanyak 10-15% dan prevalensi di Indonesia adalah 64,25% terdiri atas 54,89% dismenorea primer dan 9,36% dismenorea sekunder. Salah satu cara meredakan dismenorea adalah dengan latihan abdominal stretching exercise yang dapat meningkatkan kadar hormone endorphin. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh abdominal sretching exercise terhadap penurunan nyeri haid (Dismenorea) primer pada mahasiswi DIII Analis Kesehatan.  Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian the one group pretest-posttest desaign. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bul an oktober-november 2020. Pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada pengaruh latihan abdominal stretching Exercise terhadap penurunan nyeri haid (nilai p=0,000<0,05) dengan hasil 10 responden (30,3%) mengalami nyeri sedang dan yang mengalami nyeri ringan sebanyak 23 responden (69,7%). Latihan abdominal sretching disarankan untuk digunakan sebagai bagian dari intervensi dalam mengatasi dismenorea. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh latihan abdominal stretching exercise terhadap penurunan nyeri haid (dismenorea) pada mahasiswa DIII Analis Kesehatan Universitas MH. Abstract

Background: Stunting is a condition in which toddlers have a length or height that is less than their age. Chronic nutritional problems causing stunting are influenced by various factors, including socio-economic conditions, maternal nutrition during pregnancy, infant feeding practices, and nutritional deficiencies in infants, which may later result in difficulties in achieving optimal physical and cognitive development. Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of health promotion using audiovisual media on the knowledge of Posyandu cadres in preventing stunting. Method: The study used a quantitative research design with a pre-experimental design using the One Group Pretest-Posttest Only Design. The sample consisted of 15 Posyandu cadres from Susukan sub-district, East Jakarta, and was analyzed using paired t-tests. Data collection was conducted through video media. The study was conducted in June 2022. Results: The average knowledge of stunting prevention among Posyandu cadres before health promotion using audiovisual media was 5.30, and after health promotion, it remained at 5.30. Conclusion and Recommendation: Health promotion using video media has no significant effect on the level of knowledge among cadres in preventing stunting. Therefore, it is recommended to enhance high-quality health promotion related to cadres' knowledge in preventing stunting and to encourage active community participation in integrated services for Posyandu cadres. Keywords: Promotion, Audiovisual, Stunting, Posyandu Cadres

Abstract

Numeracy literacy skills are crucial for students, yet data from PISA and TIMSS indicate that Indonesian students' proficiency in this area remains low. Numeracy literacy teaching materials are lacking, with most teachers still using conventional methods. Therefore, innovation is needed in developing teaching materials. This research aims to develop an electronic numeracy literacy module on linear function material for Grade VIII SMP that meets validity and practicality standards. The ADDIE method (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) is used for development, with Grade VIII students from SMPN 2 Banda Aceh as the research subjects. Data collection instruments include interviews, validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and teacher feedback. Data are then analyzed descriptively, in percentages, and qualitatively. The research results indicate that the developed product has passed the material validation stage with a result of 91.74%, indicating high material validity. Media validation also succeeded with a percentage of 90.48%, showing very high validity levels. The practicality test conducted with teachers yielded a result of 88.33%, indicating the practicality of the e-module in teaching. Meanwhile, the practicality test with students resulted in a score of 84.56%, indicating that this e-module is also practical for students. Overall, the e-module developed in this research has proven to be valid and practical for use in school learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of human capital investment on workforce productivity in the digital era. This research approach collects data through a literature review, involving reading literature from various sources including books, reports, articles, and journals using qualitative and deductive approaches. The results of this study indicate that human capital investment has a positive impact on the workforce, companies, and economic growth. At the individual level, this investment results in increased competitiveness, career mobility, job satisfaction, and income. For companies, a skilled workforce is a strategic asset for improving efficiency, quality, and innovation, while strengthening employee loyalty. At the macro level, quality human capital drives economic growth and national competitiveness. However, its implementation faces challenges such as high training costs, unequal access to education, resistance to change, and weak supporting policies. Therefore, a strategy is needed that includes cross-sector collaboration, the use of digital technology, upskilling and reskilling programs, and incentive policies to maximize the benefits of human capital investment

Abstract

Students find mathematics boring to study because it is thought to be difficult for them to understand, particularly when it comes to arithmetic operations, symbols, and a variety of abstract formulas. The challenge in working with fractions is equal the denominator throughout addition and subtraction operations. This study's goal was to identify the types and causes of student difficulty in the content for fractional arithmetic operations. Descriptive research is used in this study. All class VII students make up the population, and there were a total of 17 participants sampled. a tool with an interview guide and written test. Six students were chosen for interviews based on the test results that have been examined. The results showed that the students' level of difficulty was 29.41 percent, moderate difficulty was 5.88 percent, high difficulty was 41.18 percent, and very high difficulty was 23.53 percent. The types of difficulties experienced by students in using concepts and principles ranged from 26.47 percent to 64.71 percent, and difficulties in using verbal were as high as 14.71 percent. It was determined that children were still having trouble grasping the idea of fractions.

Abstract

Understanding fractions remains challenging for many junior high school students, especially in distinguishing numerators and denominators, identifying equivalent fractions, and converting contextual problems into mathematical models. Conventional learning media often lack interactive and engaging features, causing students to struggle with conceptual understanding. This study introduces a digital comic as an innovative and interactive learning medium designed to make fraction learning more contextual and appealing. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The product, a digital comic in PDF format accessible online, was tested on seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 9 Banda Aceh. Validation results showed high validity from media (85.90%), content (84.97%), and language experts (100%). Practicality assessments from teachers (93.75%) and students (93.43%) also indicated that the comic is highly practical. These findings highlight the novelty and effectiveness of integrating digital comics into mathematics learning, demonstrating that such media can enhance students’ motivation and conceptual understanding of fractions.
