Abstract

Bahan bakar merupakan salah satu elemen penting yang sangat berpengaruh dan menunjang keberhasilan kegiatan penangkapan ikan serta menjadi bahan vital bagi sebuah mesin. Namun penggunaan bahan bakar yang semakin meningkat juga akan berpengaruh pada biaya operasional, khususnya pada nelayan. Dengan adanya pengunaan mesin yang tingkat konsumsi bahan bakarnya boros atau berlebihan, maka biaya operasional akan semakin melambung atau meningkat. Hal ini akan berpengaruh kepada penghasilan atau pendapatan yang diperoleh nelayan. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan kajian terhadap knalpot mesin yang digunakan nelayan, agar dapat membantu menurunkan tingkat konsumsi bahan bakar. Tujuan yang dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis tingkat konsumsi bahan bakar minyak terhadap redesain kenalpot perahu pakuira 13 HP. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan metode eksperimental lapangan dengan membandingkan 4 tipe knalpot dengan 5 sekala pengukuran RPM yang berbeda. Lima tingkat RPM tersebut adalah pada RPM 1400, 2150, 2680, 2800, dan 3000. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis statistik parametrik. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah terdapat hubungan dan pengaruh antara RPM dan tingkat konsumsi bahan bakar minyak, dimana semakin tinggi RPM maka tingkat konsumsi bahan bakar akan semakin meningkat dan sebaliknya. Knalpot B merupakan jenis knalpot yang paling baik untuk mengurangi tingkat konsumsi bahan bakar minyak pada tingkat RPM dibawah 2500.

Abstract

Abstract Training aids are the tools used to visualize something that cannot be seen or is difficult to imagine clearly, until it is clear and can lead to understanding and perception of someone. This research aims to create visual aids as educational media for technical core skill. This media is used to deliver messages (study materials), so as to stimulate attentions, interests, thoughts, and feelings of students in learning activities to achieve learning objectives. Materials and equipment used to make visual aids Fastener set consists of 5 layers mild steel plates with size 9 mm x 600 mm x 600 mm, 20 layers mild steel plates 250 mm diameter x 5 mm thick, L profile mild steel size 70 mm x 70 mm x 1100 mm, Fastener (Bolt and Nut, Hex Socket Head Bolt, 12-Point Head Bolt, Acorn Nut, Set Screw). Mild steel plates are drilled by CNC machine with variation size and then every side of it is assembled by fastener with metric size ( M6 – M20 of bolt) and imperial size ( 1/4 - 7/8 inch of bolt ). The components are assembled and tightened with torque wrench and it can be disassembled again. This method is used to improve student skill. The results showed that making visual aids fastener set can be created, works fine and can be used as a media to improve student skill and learning of technical core skill Key words: Training aids, Education media, Fastener Set, Bolt, Technical Core Skill Abstrak Alat peraga adalah alat bantu memvisualisasikan sesuatu yang tidak dapat dilihat atau sukar dibayangkan secara jelas, hingga nampak jelas dan dapat menimbulkan pengertian dan persepsi seseorang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat alat peraga sebagai media pembelajaran technical core skill. Media ini digunakan untuk menyalurkan pesan (bahan pembelajaran), sehingga dapat merangsang perhatian, minat, pikiran, dan perasaan siswa dalam kegiatan belajar untuk mencapai tujuan belajar. Bahan dan peralatan yang digunakan untuk pembutan alat peraga Fastener Set adalah plat baja mild steel dengan ukuran 9 mm x 600 mm x 600 mm sejumlah 5 lembar, plat baja berdiameter 250 mm x 5 mm sejumlah 20 lembar, baja siku dengan ukuran 70 mm x 70 mm x 1100 mm, Fastener (Bolt dan Nut, Hex Socket Head Bolt, 12-Point Head Bolt, Acorn Nut, Set Screw). Plat baja dilubangi menggunakan mesin CNC dengan ukuran lubang yang bervariasi pada setia sisi plat tersebut. Kemudian setiap sisi ini yang telah dilubangi dipasang fastener dengan beberapa jenis ukuran baik metrik (bolt M6 sampai M20) dan ukuran imperial ( bolt 1/4 sampai 7/8). Komponen ini disusun menjadi satu kesatuan hingga membentuk Box Fastener. Fastener dapat dipasang dan di kencangkan dengan kunci torsi serta dapat dilepas kembali secara berulang-ulang guna melatih skill praktik mahasiswa. Hasil pembuatan alat peraga menunjukkan bahwa alat peraga Fastener Set dapat dibuat, berfungsi dengan baik dan dapat digunakan sebagai media untuk melatih skill praktik mahasiswa serta dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran Technical Core Skill. Abstract

The core shell structure of TiO2@SiO2@ferrite(Ni-Cu-Zn) as composite nanoparticles for magnetic photocatalyst were successfully prepared in this study. These particles were synthesized continually by the sol-gel method and they are tested for their performance using MB dye solution. The magnetic core particles used in the synthesis were (Ni-Cu-Zn) ferrite with size of 20-60 nm, while SiO2 and TiO2 layers were formed using tetraethoxysilane and tetrabutly titanate. Some characterizations and testinghavecarried out to investigate the crystal structure, magnetic properties, surface conditions and performance of these particles. The results show that the anatase crystal structure of TiO2 was obtained on the outer shell of the particle, while the magnetization value and surface area were achieved at 4.74 emu/g and 126,831 m2/g, respectively. The nanoparticles of composite size were obtained about 10 to 40 nm with the shell thickness up to 4 nm. The performance results of photodegradation was quite good for reducing MB dye up to 63.37%.

Abstract

The increasing usage of plastic is proportional to the amount of plastic waste today. The plastic usage makes the human live easier especially for packaging purposes. However, it also has a negative impact to the environment. This is due to it cannot easily decompose. Therefore, it can reduce the level of soil fertility. Besides plastic, lubricant waste from motor vehicles can induce an environmental problem as well since it is categorized of hazardous material (B3) waste. Currently, the use of plastic waste has been widely carried out by correlating into liquid fuel through thermal cracking or pyrolysis treatment. It produces liquid and it can be used as an alternative liquid fuel. This study uses the co-pyrolysis method for treating the used plastic waste with used lubricants. The composition ratios used are 10:0, 10:2, 10:4, 10:6, and 10:8. The highest acquisition of liquid products was in the composition ratio of 10:6 as much as 24.67% with a calorific value of 11015.33 cal/g. Then the highest calorific, density, and viscosity values were obtained, namely at the 10:8 composition ratio of 11061.67 cal/g, 0.8906 g/mL, and 0.927 cSt. It was concluded that the mixing of used lubricants in the co-pyrolysis of LDPE plastic waste was able to increase the calorific value of the liquid product produced.

Abstract

PT.XYZ merupakan manufaktur yang bergerak dibidang pembuatan suku cadang automotive saat ini mengalami peningkatan sales order dilain sisi menghadapi masalah pada produktivitas akibat dari side die retak pada shoot ke 1400 Pcs .Retaknya side die dikarenakan adanya shock thermal yang terjadi guna percepatan proses produksi, akibatnya pada side die terjadi retakan. Riset dilakukan untuk meningkatkankan ketahanan side die terhadap shocktermal dengan mengganti material side die dari FCD550 ke SKD6 dengan tujuan meningkatkankan performance side die untuk peningkatan produktivitas. Dengan konsep melakukan penelitian dilapangan produksi langsung kemudian menganalisa kareteristik material FCD550 dan SKD6, Karateristek die , Kareteristik proses , Karakteristik produk jadi sebelum dan setelah perubahan dengan pengujian hasil lab alat ukur serta melakukan trial variasi parameter setting mesin , variasi proses produksi dan produk yang dihasilkan. Dari hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa Matrial SKD6 jauh lebih kuat dibandingkan FCD550 terhadap shock thermal die disc car Whell ini terlihat pada kondisi material side die menggunakan FC550 produksi stop pada saat 1400 Pcs , Hasilnya setelah side die menggunakan material SKD6 sampai dengan produksi ke 20000 pcs side die tidak terjadi retakan

Abstract

The increasing demand for fuel efficiency and environmental sustainability has led to the exploration of alternative fuel blends and innovative fuel-saving technologies. This study investigates the effect of an electromagnetic fuel-saving device on the performance of a motorcycle using a Pertalite-Bioethanol fuel blend at different compositions (P100, P90, P80, and P70). The engine's performance was evaluated based on Maximum Torque, Brake Horse Power (BHP), and Specific Fuel Consumption (SFC) using a chassis dynamometer test. The results show that the use of the electromagnetic fuel-saving device significantly improves motorcycle performance. The highest torque was recorded at P80, reaching 13.52 Nm with the device, compared to 12.7 Nm without the device. Similarly, BHP at P80 increased from 7.45 HP (without device) to 9.89 HP (with device), indicating enhanced combustion efficiency. Additionally, SFC was lower when using the device, with the lowest fuel consumption observed at P80 (0.025 kg/HP·h with the device), compared to 0.029 kg/HP·h without it. These findings suggest that a 20% bioethanol blend (P80) provides an optimal balance of power, torque, and fuel efficiency, particularly when combined with electromagnetic fuel treatment. However, at higher bioethanol concentrations (P70), performance slightly declined, likely due to the lower energy content of ethanol compared to gasoline. The improvement in efficiency with the electromagnetic device is attributed to the enhanced dispersion of hydrocarbon molecules, leading to better combustion. The electromagnetic fuel-saving device effectively enhances engine performance and fuel efficiency, particularly when paired with a 20% bioethanol blend. This study provides valuable insights into the potential of alternative fuel treatments in improving combustion efficiency and sustainability. Future research could focus on long-term durability, emissions analysis, and further optimization of bioethanol fuel blends for improved engine performance.Keywords: Electromagnetic fuel-saving device, Pertalite-Bioethanol blend, Motorcycle performance, Fuel efficiency.

Abstract

PT. XYZ experienced load imbalance with the production capacity of the D17D product line in the molded production area, The existence of gaps 70 seconds between the standard SOP time of 360 seconds and the actual process time of 430 seconds. This difference occurs due to each process being unbalanced, the results of the process are not the same. With the concept of conducting research in the field of direct production then analyzing the rubberistics of the production process, it is hoped that the problems that occur can be found solutions to eliminate young time (in vain). From the results of this study proves that designing Jig & fixture as a tool to reduce the imbalance of each process where in the Unloading pressing rubber process there is an ergonomic influence that causes the operator to experience MSDs so that production results do not reach the target. As a result, after designing a tool to help the unloading process of the D17D product rubber press machine in the molded area, there was an acceleration of the process where the SOP time was 360 seconds before repairs was carried out 430 seconds after repair to 340 seconds

Abstract

Aluminum alloys suffer from deficiencies in surface performance due to insufficient resistance to corrosion and mechanical qualities in harsh environments. Therefore, it is crucial to apply a protective surface modification during the manufacturing process of the aluminum component. The electroless deposited Ni-P shows great potential as a protective coating due to its simple manufacturing process and outstanding performance. This study investigates the effect of oxalic acid concentration in the anodizing process on electroless Ni-P coating. In this study, Anodic Aluminum Oxide (AAO) is formed by an anodizing process on 0.3,0.5, and 0.7 oxalic acids prior to Ni-P electroless deposition. The resulting Ni-P layer has a nodular-like morphology with a size in the order of 0.5 m or less. Moreover, the AAO surface is covered by a thin and tightly formed layer of nickel particles. The EDX analysis shows the oxygen percentage falls by up to 70% after Ni deposition in all anodizing parameters, as compared to the anodized specimens alone. In addition, the nickel content gradually decreases as the concentration of oxalic acid increases from 0.3 M to 0.7 M.

Abstract

Farmers’ skills in maintaining water pumps remain limited, although these skills are essential for sustaining agricultural production. This study is presented as a pilot study aimed at assessing the effectiveness of participatory training in improving the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of water pump mechanics. The study involved nine mechanics under the guidance of UPTD ALSINTAN Dinas Pertanian Kabupaten Bandung, each representing one of nine affiliated areas. Evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test instruments with 20 items on a five-point Likert scale, analyzed descriptively without inferential statistics. The initial findings indicated an increase in the overall mean score from 3.55 to 4.78, with the largest improvements observed in skills (+46.27%) and knowledge (+39,83%). These results suggest improvements in competence, although they remain exploratory. The main limitations of this study are the small sample size and reliance on self-reported measures. Further studies with larger samples and stronger designs are recommended.

Abstract

Anodisasi adalah proses elektrokimia ramah lingkungan untuk memproduksi lapisan oksida tipis hingga berukuran nanometer pada permukaan logam sehingga menjadi lebih dekoratif, tahan lama, dan tahan korosi. Proses anodisasi dalam larutan H2SO4 digunakan guna mempersiapkan lapisan anodik aluminium oksida (AAO) untuk selanjutnya dilakukan pewarnaan dengan metode dyeing. Pengaruh rapat arus dan waktu celup anodisasi terhadap permukaan hasil pewarnaan serta ketahanan korosi logam aluminium di investigasi dalam penelitian ini. Spesimen aluminium murni dilakukan proses anodisasi dalam larutan 16% H2SO4 dengan rapat arus 1, 3, dan 5 A/dm2 selama 40 dan 60 menit untuk selanjutnya dilakukan pencelupan ke dalam larutan dyeing non elektrolitik. Hasil pewarnaan menunjukkan bahwa tingkat penyerapan zat warna paling tinggi dalam parameter rapat arus 3 A/dm2. Selain itu, peningkatan waktu celup hingga 60 menit dapat meningkatkan kepekatan warna yang diserap. Pengujian korosi menggunakan metode salt spray memperlihatkan bahwa proses anodisasi dan pewarnaan dapat meningkatkan ketahanan korosi pada logam aluminium. Hasil pengujian kekerasan Vickers menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi rapat arus menghasilkan penurunan kekerasan rata-rata pada permukaan aluminium hasil anodisasi.
