Abstract

A composite is a material formed from a combination of two or more constituent materials using a heterogeneous mixing process, whose mechanical properties vary. The aim of this research is to compare the tensile strength values of abaca banana stem fiber polyester composites with variations in fiber orientation. The fiber orientation used is parallel, random and woven. The method used is a hand lay-up press with a fiber volume fraction of 30% and the resin itself uses BQTN 157 EX polyester resin with a hand lay-up method using a glass mold. The test was carried out by tensile testing using the ASTM D3039 measurement standard and macro photos. The results of research on tensile testing show that composites with variations in parallel fiber orientations reinforced with abaca banana stem fibers have an average tensile strength of 39.63 MPa, variations in random fiber orientation have an average tensile strength of 32.87 MPa and variations in fiber orientation woven has an average tensile strength of 25.90 MPa. From the results of macro photo fracture observations, it was found that the type of fracture is a brittle fracture on an uneven fracture surface which causes fiber pull-out where the fibers appear to be coming out of the specimen because the matrix and fibers are not strongly bonded and the fracture is also caused by voids near the fibers.

Abstract

Rukshah is defined as a concession in carrying out Islamic law by observing certain conditions. The legal consequence for someone who receives rukshah is that they are permitted to refrain from or do something that is essentially contrary to sharia. Currently, there is a phenomenon of mut'ah marriage among Indonesian Muslims. Historically, the basis for its validity is that Mut'ah Marriage is considered one of the rukshah in marriage, which is still debated regarding its permissibility and legality. This study uses a normative juridical method with a conceptual and historical approach to examine the true meaning or essence of the concept of rukshah so that it can answer whether current conditions can still be categorized as rukshah for performing mut'ah marriage. The results of the study show, using the principle of maqasid al syari'ah, that rukshah can only be given in emergency situations to maintain the public interest and the current condition cannot be interpreted as an emergency, so it is forbidden to perform mut'ah marriage.

Abstract

The biodiversity crisis in the anthropocene era demands a reconstruction of the environmental law paradigm that goes beyond anthropocentric logic. This study comparatively examines the biodiversity protection paradigm within a legal-ethical-teleological framework by integrating the positive legal norms of Law No. 32/2009 concerning Environmental Protection and Management with the principles of environmental fiqh (fiqh al-bi’ah). This research method uses a normative juridical approach with statutory, conceptual, and comparative approaches. The results of the research indicate that there are points of agreement and disparities between Law 32/2009 and the MUI Fatwa No. 4/2014 both emphasize the importance of protecting ecosystems for the sake of the balance of life, but with different approaches. The Environmental Management and Management Law (UU PPLH) is normative-instrumental (anthropocentric), while the fatwa emphasizes the moral-religious obligation to preserve living creatures. This study's novel approach is a tridimensional legal, ethical, and teleological framework that synergizes positive legal norms with Islamic ethical values and the objectives of maqashid (environmental stewardship). With this research, the concept of maqashid sharia, specifically hifa al-bi'ah (environmental preservation), is proposed as a normative-teleological foundation for reconstructing national environmental law with ecological justice

Abstract

The rapid development of e-commerce has accelerated the circulation of products claiming halal certification. It has also shifted halal product distribution patterns to the digital realm. This shift raises issues related to verification and protection of consumer rights. Blockchain-based electronic evidence in the context of halal certification has become a fundamental issue for muslim consumer protection in the digital era. There are incomplete regulations governing the status and mechanisms for verifying blockchain evidence. These gaps pose challenges in providing evidence in court and create legal uncertainty for consumers. This study aims to analyze the validity of blockchain-based halal certificates as a legal evidentiary tool in consumer protection disputes. The goal is to strengthen muslim consumer protection in Indonesia. This study is a normative legal study using statutory and conceptual approach. The legal materials were obtained from primary and secondary sources by examining the Halal Product Guarantee Law, the Consumer Protection Law, and regulations related to electronic information. The analysis was conducted through systematic interpretation and literature review. The research results show that blockchain-based halal certificates have potential probative validity due to their transparency and decentralization. This can increase the transparency and authenticity of halal products. However, in practice, there are still no technical guidelines regarding the blockchain-based halal certificate verification mechanism. Therefore, comprehensive special regulations are needed from the government, particularly technical guidelines for blockchain-based halal certification, to ensure consumer protection in the digital era. their transparent and decentralized nature, which can enhance the transparency and authenticity of halal products.
