Abstract

This study aims to explore the moderating role of good corporate governance in the relationship between financing decisions, investment decisions, dividend policy, and profitability on firm value. Utilizing a purposive sampling technique, we analyzed data from 85 manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2020 to 2022, resulting in 195 unbalanced observations. Employing regression modeling with panel data, we conducted descriptive statistical tests, preliminary tests (Breusch-Pagan, Chow, and Hausman tests), diagnostic tests (heteroscedasticity and autocorrelation), and hypothesis testing. The findings reveal that while profitability positively influences firm value, financing, investment, and dividend decisions do not significantly impact it. Furthermore, good corporate governance enhances the relationship between profitability and firm value, with the presence of female directors contributing to increased profitability. However, female directors do not moderate the effects of financing, investment, and dividend decisions on firm value. This research underscores the importance of female leadership as a mechanism of good corporate governance in enhancing company value

Abstract

This research aims to increase public capacity and trust in Islamic commercial banks by using the concept of social responsibility disclosure. The independent variables are profitability as measured by ROA, company size, leverage as measured by DER, the Shia supervisory board size, and financing savings ratio. This research uses secondary data, with data collection using the purposive sampling method, and obtained a sample of 14 Sharia commercial banks in 2017-2022 which were managed using multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS 22 tools. The results of the research show that profitability (ROA) and company size have a positive impact significant to social responsibility disclosure, meanwhile, leverage (DER), size of the Sharia supervisory board, and financing savings ratio do not affect social responsibility disclosure. So, Sharia commercial banks should continue to increase their profitability in disclosing social responsibility because the higher profitability will motivate managers to disclose their social responsibility, the same goes for the size of the company, the higher the size of the company, the greater the number of assets owned by the company. This can expand corporate social responsibility disclosure because companies with large amounts of assets can finance social responsibility information.

Abstract

This analysis examines the role of dividend policy as a mediator in the relationship between corporate governance and profitability on firm value. The population studied consisted of 47 public banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2019-2023, with 87 research samples obtained through the purposive sampling method. The analysis confirmed that profitability significantly positively affects dividend policy and corporate governance positively influences firm value. However, corporate governance and dividend policy do not affect firm value, and dividend policy does not mediate the relationship between corporate governance and firm value, as well as between profitability and firm value. These findings confirm the importance of profitability and corporate governance in enhancing firm value through effective dividend policy.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of religiosity, risk tolerance, financial behavior, and locus of control on Sharia investment decisions with financial literacy as a moderating variable. The sample consisted of 200 Islamic capital market investors in Indonesia, selected using convenience sampling. Data analysis used Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results of this study state that religiosity, risk tolerance, financial behavior, locus of control, and financial literacy have positive and significant effects on the Sharia investment decision. Financial literacy can moderate the influence of religiosity, risk tolerance, and locus of control on investment decisions. Financial literacy is proven to moderate the relationship between independent variables and Sharia investment decisions, increasing the positive influence of religiosity and financial behavior on investment decisions. This finding indicates that increasing financial literacy can strengthen Sharia investment decisions that are more rational and in accordance with religious principles. The practical implications of this study are important for policymakers to design financial literacy education programs that can improve public understanding of Sharia investment. Financial practitioners can consider religiosity and financial literacy factors in designing investment products that follow Sharia values and can attract more diverse investors.
