Abstract

At the end of the 21st century, various community empowerment programs have emerged, focusing on environmental sustainability due to increasing environmental degradation and growing awareness of the need for conservation. Indonesia, as the world's second-largest food waste producer in 2021 according to The Economist Intelligence Unit, faces significant waste management challenges.Environmental issues are also linked to ecofeminism, where women play an active role in environmental preservation to create an eco-friendly and women-friendly society. Therefore, this program aims to support women in waste management, enhancing their awareness and concern for environmental sustainability. Bokoharjo Village, where women make up approximately 50% of the total population, has been chosen as the target location to optimize their creativity in waste management, particularly in tourist areas. The program includes condition analysis, increasing women's involvement in household waste management, empowering economically unproductive communities, and fostering partnerships with relevant stakeholders. The program employs a women’s empowerment approach through training and mentoring. The outcomes include the publication of an accredited journal and the development of an independent household waste management system. This initiative has successfully improved women's life skills in household management, creativity, and entrepreneurship. By transforming waste into economically valuable products, women in Bokoharjo can enhance their family income while contributing to environmental conservation. Additionally, the program strengthens women's roles as agents of change within their families and communities, leading to improved well-being and environmental awareness. Abstract

Abstract: Nurses are one of the key components in hospital health services. Work fatigue that is not adequately addressed can cause various serious problems in the work environment, including an increased risk of workplace accidents. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors associated with fatigue in nurses. The research design used in this study is cross-sectional. The study was conducted at Sundari General Hospital. The study was conducted in February 2025. The study population consisted of all nurses at Sundari General Hospital. The sample consisted of 65 people. The sampling technique used total sampling. The research instrument used a research questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using univariate and bivariate analysis. The results showed a relationship between length of service (p value: 0.047) and workload (p value: 0.00) with work fatigue among nurses. It is recommended that hospital management recruit additional nurses to compensate for the number of patient visits. Providing occupational safety and health (OSH) education on work fatigue management for nurses and ensuring adequate nutritional intake are also necessary as preventive measures against more serious work-related illnesses. Keywords: Workload, Work Fatigue, Nurses.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the status of blood pressure and blood sugar levelsamong elderly people at the Sinduadi Health Center. A descriptive quantitativemethod with a cross-sectional design was used, involving 97 elderlyrespondents selected through total sampling. Data collection included directmeasurement of systolic and diastolic blood pressure as well as random bloodglucose levels. The results showed that the average age of respondents was67.36 ± 6.55 years, with an average systolic blood pressure of 133.63 ± 16.66mmHg and diastolic blood pressure of 75.12 ± 11.50 mmHg. The mean bloodglucose level was 140.03 ± 70.83 mg/dL. Most respondents were classified aspre-hypertensive (49.5%), followed by hypertensive (30.9%) and normal(19.6%), while for blood glucose, 62.9% were normal, 22.7% pre-diabetic,and 14.4% diabetic. The findings indicate that elderly people at the SinduadiHealth Center tend to experience increased blood pressure and blood glucoselevels with age. This pattern emphasizes the importance of routine monitoringof blood pressure and blood sugar levels and the implementation of healtheducation programs for lifestyle modification to prevent the progression ofnon-communicable diseases such as hypertension and diabetes mellitusamong the elderly population.
