The problem of this research was the skill of equality of interpersonal communication. The purpose of this research is to know the improvement of students' equality skill of interpersonal communication using counseling group of assertive training technique on grade X Senior High School 11 Bandar Lampung academic year of 2017/2018. This research was a pre-experimental research with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The subjects of this research consisted of 5 students. The data collection technique was done using interpersonal communication scale. The result of the research showed that counseling service of assertive training group could improve equality skill of interpersonal communication for ten graders students of Senior High School 11 Bandar Lampung, as proven by data analysis using Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test, it was obtained that z-calc = -2.023 z-table = 1.645.Masalah penelitian ini adalah keterampilan equality dalam komunikasi interpersonal yang rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan equality komunikasi interpersonal siswa menggunakan konseling kelompok teknik asertive training pada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 11 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2017/2018. Penelitian ini bersifat pre-eksperimental dengan One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Subjek penelitian ini sebanyak 5 siswa, pengambilan subjek menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan menggunakan skala komunikasi interpersonal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan layanan konseling kelompok tenik assertive training dapat meningkatkan keterampilan equality komunikasi interpersonal pada siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 11 Bandar Lampung, hal ini dibuktikan dengan analisis data menggunakan uji beda Wilcoxon, diperoleh z hitung = -2.023 z tabel=1.645.Kata kunci: keterampilanequality,komunikasi interpersonal, konseling kelompok, teknik asertive training

The problem of this study was the low student learning independence. The purpose of this study was to determined the correlation of parenting patterns to the student learning independence. Population amounted to 278 students and research samples as many as 143 students determined by simple random sampling technique. Data collection technique used parenting patterns scale and learning independence scale. Data analysis using product moment correlation show there was a significant correlation between parenting patterns with student learning independence shown by the index of correlation rhitung = 0,185 rtabel = 0,163, p = 0,27 p = 0,05. The conclusion of this research were there was a positive correlation and significant between parenting pattern with student learning independence class X MAN 2 Bandar Lampung academic year 2017/2018Masalah penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemandirian belajar siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan pola asuh orang tua terhadap kemandirian belajar. Populasi berjumlah 278 siswa dan sampel penelitian sebanyak 143 orang siswa yang ditentukan dengan teknik simple random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan skala pola asuh orang tua dan skala kemandirian belajar. Analisis data menggunakan korelasi product moment menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pola asuh orang tua dengan kemandirian belajar siswa yang ditunjukkan dengan indeks korelasi sebesar rhitung = 0,185 rtabel = 0,163, p = 0,27 p = 0,05. Kesimpulan penelitian yaitu terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara pola asuh orang tua dengan kemandirian belajar pada siswa kelas X MAN 2 Bandar Lampung tahun ajaran 2017/2018Kata kunci:hubungan,pola asuh orang tua, kemandirian belajar

The reaserch problem in this is the occupation choice of student is not appropriate. This study aims to analyze personality types and inclination toward occupation choice in students. The method in this research is quantitative descriptive method. The research sample was 65 students taken using a total sampling technique. The data collection technique wed are IEKAD and position questionnaire. The results of the study showed that the most dominant type of student personality was the Social personality type, followed by the Entreprising personality type and the Artistic personality type. The occupation choice based on them personality type is 45% of students choose the appropriate position with his personality type and 55% of students choose occupation that do not match between personality type and occupation choice, means that there are still students who choose the occupation choice that is not appropriate.Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah arah pilihan jabatan siswa belum tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tipe kepribadian dan kecenderungan arah pilihan jabatan pada siswa. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 65 siswa, diambil menggunakan teknik sampling total. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan IEKAD dan angket plihan jabatan. Hasil dari penelitian diperoleh tipe kepribadian siswa yang dominan adalah tipe kepribadian Sosial, diikuti tipe kepribadian Wirausaha dan tipe kepribadian Artistik. Arah pilihan jabatan siswa berdasarkan tipe kepribadiannya ialah sebesar 45% siswa memilih arah pilihan jabatan yang sesuai dengan tipe kepribadiannya dan 55% siswa memilih arah pilihan jabatan yang belum sesuai antara tipe kepribadian dan pilihan jabatannya artinya masih terdapat siswa yang memilih arah pilihan jabatan yang belum tepat.Kata kunci: bimbingan dan konseling karir, pilihan jabatan, tipe kepribadian

The problem of this research is the use of negative coping strategy in students. The aim of this research is correlation of Family Communication with the trends of the use of straegy Coping in students eleven class of Senior High School 1 Gadingrejo Academic Year 2019/2020. Descriptive Correlational method was applied to this research with the population of this research was 374 students. Data Collecting technique of this research used family communication withstrategy coping. The data analysis technique of the research used product moment Corelation. The results of this research were gained so r hitung 0,791 ˃ r tabel 0,133 with significance level of 0,05%, meaning that thre is a significant positive correlationof family communication with the trends of the use of strategy coping, the higher the consensual family communication pattern, the higher the tendency of using coping strategy to focus on the problem, and vice versa.Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah kecenderungan penggunaan strategi copingnegatif pada siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara komunikasi keluarga dengan kecenderungan penggunaan strategi copingpada siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Gadingrejo Tahun Ajaran. 2019/2020. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional. Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 374 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan skala komunikasi keluarga dan strategi coping. Teknik analisis data menggunakan korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian diperoleh yaitu r hitung 0,791 ˃ r tabel 0,133 dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05%, artinya terdapat hubungan positive yang signifikan antara komunikasi keluarga dan kecenderungan penggunaan strategi coping. Semakin tinggi komunikasi keluarga konsensual maka tingkat kecenderungan penggunaan strategi coping berfokus pada masalah semakin tinggi begitu juga sebaliknya.Kata kunci: hubungan, komunikasi keluarga, strategi coping

This research aimed is to investigate the effects of social support, optimism and gender on constructive social problem solving and dysfunctional social problem solving, furthermore to identify is there any singular social problem solving ability between two sexes, male and female. Research took place in several High Schools in Bandar Lampung with 861 participants are involved, 391 male and 470 female. Quantitative method involved three measurement scales. Besides that this research involved gender variable. Multiple correlation analysis, dummy regression and covariance analysis were being used as data analysis technique with SPSS 13.00 program. The results indicated that there is a significant influence between social support and optimism, but gender no effect influence on social problem solving. Effective contribution that given by social support and optimism on dysfunctional social problem solving is 18.8% (R square= 0.188). Effective contribution that given by social support and optimism on constructive social problem solving is 12,2% (R square= 0.122). Each variables gives effective contribution, they are: social support and optimism toward dysfunctional social problem solving are 12.42% and 6.38%. Furthermore social support and optimism on constructive social problem solving are 10.38% and 1.82%. Keywords: optimism and gender, social problem solving, social support

Counseling services are a process of assistance in order to assist individuals to find their way to goodness. The counselor as the organizer (subject) who provides assistance to the counselee in the form of counseling services, the gift is able to first bring himself first to goodness. The goodness is in relation to the people around, and their relationship with Allah SWT. To accompany counselees towards goodness, counselors need to have good expectancy, so that they can bring counselee thinking toward goodness. Good thinking skills, based on a good heart condition. Heart as the center of all elements of human beings. The heart must be maintained by various tips such as those delivered by Sunan Bonang (Islamic Ulama), namely; 1) reading the Qur'an and its meanings, 2) establishing night prayers (tahajjud) 3) gathering with pious people, 4) multiplying fasting 5) remembrance night.

This research aimed to determine the level of difficulty of the Supervising Teacher in Mastering the Concept and Praxis of Assessment to Understand the Conditions, Needs, and Problems of the Counselee. This research used survey research methods with descriptive quantitative research. The population of the research was 160 guidance and counseling teachers who were taken by using proportional sampling techniques from each regional representative, so that 50 teachers of guidance and counseling were obtained. The data collection is collected through understanding tests. The data analysis is used descriptive quantitative analysis. The results of the study showed that the Level of Teacher Difficulties in Mastering the Concept and Praxis of Assessment to Understand the Conditions, Needs, and Problems of the counselees in the very low category with a percentage of 44%. This is supported by the results of the respondents' justification analysis that the level of understanding of the concepts and assessment praxis in guidance and counseling teachers in schools is in the moderate category with only 16%.Keywords: counselor competence, assessment, mastery of concept and prescriptive assessment, teacher guidance and counselingDOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jiip.v1i2.18032

The outbreak of the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic since December 2019 until now requires all teaching and learning activities for students to be temporarily carried out at home. This needs to be done in order to minimize mass physical contact so that it can break the chain of spreading the virus. To fill the teaching and learning activities that must be completed in this academic year, the government has adopted a policy of learning to be carried out through distance learning using online media (on the network), either using a cellphone, PC, or laptop. Online learning that has been running, makes teachers also cause stress because of the large number of classes and students and demands from conditions or praxis that cause many problems. In an emergency situation, the teacher at that time had to act quickly so that learning could run effectively. Teachers need to be quick to take action and manage classes remotely. This includes managing materials and tasks of very short duration. In a short period of time there are obstacles that occur both from the side of the teacher and the students.When experiencing stress, the body will unconsciously manage stress. Management in dealing with stress is a way to increase his immunity to stress. Effective stress management will result in permanent adaptation, giving rise to new habits or improvements from old situations, while ineffective stress management will end up being maladaptive, namely deviant behavior and harm to oneself and others.

Efektivitas counseling art therapy sebagai media untuk meningkatkan pemahaman diri pada remaja di LPKA Bandar Lampung. Setiap remaja mengalami perbedaan tingkat self-awareness yang dipengaruhi oleh kondisi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan individu. Self-awareness yang baik dapat membantu remaja dalam mengontrol dan mengevaluasi aspek emosional, perilaku, dan kognitif mereka. Art therapy dianggap sebagai metode yang dapat membantu remaja dalam mengeksplorasi permasalahan mereka dan menemukan gambaran yang lebih jelas terkait diri mereka. Penelitian ini menerapkan counseling art therapy sebagai sarana komunikasi yang memanfaatkan media seni untuk membantu remaja dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan mereka. Pelatihan dilaksanakan di LPKA Bandar Lampung, dan hasil analisis menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam tingkat self-awareness peserta setelah mengikuti counseling art therapy. Dari hasil pre-test dan post-test, terlihat peningkatan persentase sebesar 50,23%, dengan rata-rata nilai pre-test peserta sebesar 53,00 dan rata-rata nilai post-test sebesar 78,67. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa counseling art therapy efektif dalam meningkatkan self-awareness remaja di LPKA Bandar Lampung. Hasil ini memberikan kontribusi pada pemahaman lebih lanjut tentang peran art therapy sebagai metode psikoterapi yang bermanfaat dalam konteks pembangunan diri remaja.

Exploring Pre-Service Teachers’ Personal Preference and Implications for Teacher Education. Objectives: The purpose of this research is to describe and map the aspects of deference, order, succorance, change, and aggression of pre-service teachers. Method: This descriptive-quantitative research was conducted in the Faculty of teacher Training and Education, University of Lampung. 247 student teachers were selected form 4 different study programs. Edward Personal Preference Schedule (EPPS) test was administered. Findings: The findings suggest that the four different study programs employ different level of preference in relation to their preparation as a teacher. Conclusion: These differences are believed to have impact on teacher education variance.Keywords: pre-service teacher, teacher education, personal preference.
