Abstract

Research on the behavior of long-tailed monkeys (Macaca fascicularis) was conducted in the Jumprit Customary Forest located on the slopes of Mount Sumbing, Jumprit Village, Ngadirejo District, Temanggung Regency. This study aims to determine the daily behavior of long-tailed monkeys in the Jumprit Customary Forest. This research is included in the type of exploratory descriptive research with direct observation into the field. The method used in the preliminary research was in the form of the Ad Libitum Sampling method, while in the main study the Scan Sampling method was used by observing behavior in a small population of long-tailed monkeys (Macaca fascicularis). Data collection was carried out for 7 days at time intervals between 08.00 to 16.00. The observed data is then processed descriptively, qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of the observations obtained behavioral activity of long-tailed monkeys (Macaca fascicularis) which were observed consisting of 8 types of behavior, namely foraging behavior, moving, playing, social interaction, inactivity, vocalizing, mating and mother and child interaction. Both places of observation have different intensities of behavioral activity. Place 1 (forest border with highway) shows the intensity of long-tailed monkey behavior that is lower than the behavioral intensity of long-tailed monkeys in place 2 (Umbul Jumprit).

Abstract

This study aims to develop an Islamic integrated biology e-module on the excretory system material for grade XI high school to empower students' critical thinking skills. The product is developed using a 4-D development model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). The instrument used is a questionnaire. The research subjects comprised 30 class XI IPA students from MA Darul Ulum Semarang. Data collection was conducted through interviews, observations, documentation, and questionnaires. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and qualitative techniques. The study resulted in the development of valid e-module products, with validity criteria of 75% from material experts, 85% from Islamic integration experts, and 62.5% from media experts. Additionally, the results showed that practical e-modules were utilized with a practicality percentage of 77.94% based on responses from Biology Teachers and 86.66% from students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat literasi keuangan syariah masyarakat yang bergerak di sektor UMKM mebel di Kabupaten Jepara dan dampaknya terhadap kinerja Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) KCP Jepara. Data dikumpulkan melalui survei yang mengukur empat dimensi utama literasi keuangan syariah: pengetahuan dasar keuangan, simpan pinjam syariah, asuransi syariah, dan investasi syariah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat literasi keuangan syariah masyarakat UMKM mebel di Jepara berada pada kategori sedang, dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 71,99%. Pengetahuan dasar keuangan memiliki skor tertinggi, sementara asuransi syariah memiliki skor terendah. Temuan ini menunjukkan perlunya peningkatan edukasi literasi keuangan syariah di kalangan UMKM untuk memperkuat pengelolaan keuangan dan pengambilan keputusan yang lebih baik, yang pada akhirnya diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kinerja lembaga perbankan syariah.

Abstract

The purpose of this investigation is to determine the research trends of biology education students at UIN Walisongo Semarang. The type of research employed is a qualitative literature review. The research was conducted in the library of UIN Walisongo Semarang between April and May of 2023. 38 theses written by biology education students at UIN Walisongo Semarang's campus library served as the study's subjects. The technique used for data collection was a systematic document analysis of thesis documents. In addition, researchers classified the type of research conducted and presented it in tabular format after obtaining an overview with an abstract analysis and research methodology. The research instrument used was a category sheet. The technique used for data analysis is descriptive-quantitative. The sample information will be analyzed using a category sheet. Based on the results of the category sheet analysis, the research trend of UIN Walisongo Semarang students during the period 2020–2023 is quantitative research; the most popular type of research is R&D research, with a high school research sample trend.

Abstract

The ability to manage emotions is essential for students. This service activity aims to provide psychoeducation to Ma'had Tahfidz Al-Qur'an Darul Falah Selangor Malaysia female students by organizing Expressive writing classes. Three stages are carried out: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The service program chosen for this service is the expressive writing class. The interview service results show that expressive writing can make Ma'had Tahfidz Al-Qur'an Darul Falah female students love themselves more, be happier, and increase learning motivation. This service program can continue to be carried out for students in other Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

Biology learning can take the form of practical activities that require practical instructions as activity guides. Practical instructions formed in the E-book model will provide advantages in terms of practicality and efficiency. The aim of this research is to make students more active in the biology learning process. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D). The development design used is ADDIE. This research data collection used interview and questionnaire methods. The results of the development of the guided inquiry-based interactive practical e-book were validated by media experts 93% (very feasible), material experts 96% (very feasible), and learning methodology experts 95% (very feasible). From the three validators, an average score of 94% can be taken, so that the guided inquiry-based interactive practicum guide E-book can be declared "Very Eligible" for testing. The results of the readability test for biology teachers received a score of 100% with the criteria "Very Eligible". Meanwhile, for students in class XI MIPA, 20 students were used, namely 10 students in class XI MIPA 5 and 10 students in class.ABSTRAK: Pembelajaran biologi dapat berupa kegiatan praktikum yang membutuhkan petunjuk praktikum sebagai panduan kegiatan. Petunjuk praktikum yang dibentuk dalam model E-book akan memberikan kelebihan dalam hal kepraktisan dan efisien. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membuat siswa lebih aktif dalam proses pembelajaran biologi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D) desain pengembangan yang digunakan adalah ADDIE. Pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan metode wawancara dan angket. Hasil pengembangan E-book petunjuk praktikum interaktif berbasis inkuiri terbimbing di validasi oleh ahli media 93% (sangat layak), ahli materi 96% (sangat layak), dan ahli metodologi pembelajaran 95% (sangat layak).  Dari ketiga validator dapat diambil nilai rata-rata sebesar 94%, sehingga E-book petunjuk praktikum interaktif berbasisi inkuiri terbimbing dapat dikriteriakan “Sangat Layak” untuk diujikan. Hasil uji keterbacaan pada guru biologi mendapatkan skor 100% dengan kriteria “Sangat Layak”. Sedangkan pada siswa kelas XI MIPA menggunakan 20 siswa yaitu 10 siswa kelas XI MIPA 5 dan 10 siswa kelas XI MIPA 6 mendapatkan hasil nilai rata-rata 80% dengan kriteria “Layak” untuk digunakan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tingkat literasi lingkungan mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi angkatan 2020 di UIN Walisongo Semarang yang mengambil mata kuliah peminatan ilmu lingkungan. Sebanyak 30 mahasiswa menjadi sampel penelitian ini. Metode deskriptif dengan teknik survei digunakan, mengumpulkan data melalui angket dan soal tes pilihan ganda. Instrumen ini mengukur empat indikator literasi lingkungan: pengetahuan lingkungan, keterampilan kognitif, sikap peduli lingkungan, dan perilaku pro-lingkungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi lingkungan mahasiswa berada pada kategori sedang untuk pengetahuan lingkungan (78,3%), keterampilan kognitif (63,3%), dan perilaku pro-lingkungan (65,6%). Sementara itu, sikap peduli lingkungan menunjukkan kategori tinggi dengan persentase 81%. Sub-indikator dengan persentase tertinggi meliputi pengetahuan tentang pemecahan masalah lingkungan, kemampuan merencanakan tindakan penyelidikan isu lingkungan, sikap apresiasi terhadap lingkungan, dan konservasi sumber daya alam. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah literasi lingkungan mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi UIN Walisongo Semarang secara umum berada pada kategori sedang hingga tinggi, dengan kekuatan pada aspek sikap peduli lingkungan.

Abstract

Adolescence is important for students because it transitions from childhood to adulthood. Knowledge about changes in adolescence, especially adolescents in Islamic boarding schools regarding adolescent reproductive health, is still low, so it needs to be improved. This service aims to increase the knowledge of service partners, especially students in Islamic boarding schools, regarding adolescent reproductive health. This devotion used the ABCD method, which consists of five stages: inculturation, discovery, design, definition, and reflection. This service program is carried out in July–August 2022. Service partners are students from classes X, XI, and XII. The service program is carried out with a learning model of team games tournaments (TGT) assisted by crossword puzzles and learning videos. Service data were obtained using pre- and post-tests regarding adolescent reproductive health. The data obtained are analyzed qualitatively and descriptively. The service results showed that counselling activities using crossword puzzle media and learning videos increased the knowledge of service partners by an average of 8.41.

Abstract

Scientific literacy is the ability to use scientific information, recognize problems, and draw conclusions based on data to understand and make choices about the natural world and changes caused by human activities. Science literacy is essential to address a wide range of ethical, moral, and global challenges. This study aims to measure the science literacy ability of Biology Education students in semester 2 of the Biology Education Study Program. The study sample amounted to 22 people from a population of 129 people consisting of 4 classes. The data collection technique uses biological science literacy tests in the form of multiple choice. Data analysis techniques use descriptive analysis. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the science literacy ability of Biology Education students in Semester 2 in the medium category was 15%, and the low category was 7%. In the results of the value of science literacy ability on the indicator explaining phenomena scientifically, it can be seen that the average score obtained by all students is 14.25 which is included in the low category. The results of the value of biological science literacy ability on the indicator of evaluating and designing scientific investigations can be seen that the average score obtained by all students is 9.75 which is included in the low category. The results of the value of biological science literacy skills on data interpretation indicators and proving scientific data can be seen that the average score obtained by all students is 26.6 which is included in the low category. Based on the results of the data obtained, it can be concluded that the science literacy ability of biology students in semester 2 as a whole is in the low category.

Abstract

Science learning is a process that is intentionally designed to facilitate the process of learning science. Based on initial observations made by researchers, it is known that MTs Nahjatus Sholihin students have not understood their respective learning styles, so students have been unable to maximize them in the science learning process. This study aims to analyze the VAK (Visual, Auditorial, Kinesthetic) learning styles of VIII-grade students in science subjects at MTs Nahjatus Sholihin, Rembang Regency. This research is quantitative descriptive research. The subjects of this study were all VIII-grade students at MTs Nahjatus Sholihin, with a total of 86 students. This study used the total sampling technique. Data collection methods were carried out through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. Based on the results of observations, it is known that from each class VIII that was analyzed for learning styles, the highest percentage of students had a kinesthetic learning style, with a percentage of 45% in class VIIIA, 40% in class VIIIB, and 41% in class VIIIC, while the lowest percentage of students had a visual learning style with a percentage of 22% in class VIIIA, 29% in class VIIIB, and 28% in class VIIIC.
