Abstract

Bentuk keluarga yang ideal adalah dapat berjalan sendiri tanpa adanya ketergantungan dari orang lain, dalam artian menjadi keluarga yang mandiri. Salah satu bentuk kemandirian yang harus dipenuhi oleh keluarga yaitu terhadap pemenuhan ekonomi keluarga yang menjadi tugas dari seorang suami. Berdasarkan hukum perkawinan yang berlaku Indonesia, maka kelurga muda sejak terjadinya akad yang sah, dituntut untuk dapat mandiri secara ekonomi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis proses terjadinya kemandirian ekonomi keluarga muda di Kecamatan Batukliang Kabupaten Lombok Tengah dalam rangka melaksanakan hukum perkawinan Indonesia dan untuk mendeskripsikan serta mengkaji kemandirian keluarga muda di Kecamatan Batukliang Kabupaten Lombok Tengah terhadap pemenuhan ekonomi keluarga perspektif hukum perkawinan Indonesia. Pendekatan penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian empiris. Pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan 3 metode yaitu observasi, wawancara terstruktur dan dokumentasi. Dalam menganalisis data, penelitian ini menggunakan 3 tahapan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan menarik kesimpulan. Untuk mendapatkan keabsahan data dilakukan dengan meningkatkan ketekunan dan menggunakan tehnik triangulasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) seluruh suami dari keluarga muda di Kecamatan Batukliang Kabupaten Lombok Tengah telah menjalankan semua aspek kewajiban pemenuhan ekonomi berdasarkan kemampuannya dan dilakukan dengan beragam upaya di antaranya yaitu: pertama, pada pemenuhan kediaman tetap dengan menabung, mengambil hutang di bank dan membangun secara bertahap. Kedua, pemenuhan nafkah istri diberikan dengan rentang waktu yang berbeda-beda dengan didominasi nafkah menjadi satu dengan biaya rumah tangga. Ketiga, pemenuhan biaya rumah tangga dengan memberikan uang ataupun barang sesuai dengan kebutuhan rumah. Keempat, pemenuhan kiswah atau pakaian dominan telah tergabung dengan nafkah serta biaya rumah tangga atau diberikan pada saat istri meminta. Kelima, pemenuhan kesehatan dengan upaya membuat BPJS ataupun membelikan obat. Keenam, pemenuhan biaya pendidikan anak upaya yang dilakukan dengan membelikan kebutuhan penunjang pendidikan anak serta menyiapkan anggaran khusus. (2) Berdasarkan hukum perkawinan Indonesia yaitu Undang-Undang Nomor 1 Tahun 1974 Tentang Perkawinan dan Kompilasi Hukum Islam, didapatkan bahwa terjadi ketidaksesuaian antara aturan yang berlaku dengan praktik yang dilakukan oleh 12 pasangan keluarga muda di Kecamatan Batukliang Kabupaten Lombok Tengah. Dari semua pasangan keluarga muda tersebut dalam rangka memenuhi aspek kewajiban pemenuhan ekonomi dilakukan berdasarkan kadar kemampuan masing-masing, akan tetapi masih banyak ketergantungan kepada orang tua, terutama dalam hal pemenuhan kediaman tetap atau rumah dominan mengalami kesulitan untuk dipenuhi. Sehingga jika dihitung berdasarkan usia perkawinan, kemandirian ekonomi keluarga muda dapat tercapai pada usia perkawinan 6 tahun serta penghasilan dari suami sangat mempengaruhi pemenuhan ekonomi keluarga.

Abstract

Abstract: This paper tries to reveal another side of the phenomenon of violence against women which is currently viral on social media. It is related to the case of paid polygamy mentoring which is not in accordance with Islamic law and the conditions of Indonesian society in particular. The glorification of women's violence is a frightening threat to marriages that can start with polygamy. In the sense of violence, Polygamy has implication for the concept of gender, both in terms of gender, physical, sexuality, and psychological differences.In fact, the scholars explained in the Qur'an, namely, "Shalihun likulli zammani wa makkani." It means that the Qur'an emphasizes that women's justice in marriage is appreciated contextually, namely monogamy. The aim of this paper is analyzing of the Qur'an on Annisa’ Verse 3 on women’s violence glorification in paid polygamy mentoring campaigns. It is used the Maudhu'i interpretation method. Thus, there is an effort to reform the style (uslub) of Islamic da'wah without the need to explore the law in length and width which has implications on the grammatical side, which is also able to prevent the emergence of ideological contradictions of contemporary thought.In conclusion, polygamy may be carried out as long as it is carried out with the correct Shari'ah and Islamic law and is not due to customary factors, or local environmental traditions, and does not burden one party.

Abstract

This article explores aspects of gender equality in the context of divorce, with a study focus on the hadith that discuss divorce actions taken by women. This study aims to explore a deeper understanding of the Islamic view of divorce initiated by women and its impact on gender equality in society. By detailing the various relevant hadiths, the study analyzes the context, law, and wisdom behind the ruling. The results of this study show that women can terminate their marriage by filing a khul' (sue for divorce) before a religious court. With this, it is hoped that every married couple has the awareness to carry out their duties and treat their spouses well, so that the harmony and integrity of the household can be maintained.

Abstract

Islamic principles regarding zakat in general are closely related to the issue of wealth which must be distributed to the needy and poor as well as groups that have been determined by Islamic law. This article aims to discuss the principles of charity in the distribution of inheritance by analyzing the views of ulama and intellectuals in Malang City, East Java. This study is socio-legal research using the theory of maqāṣid al-sharī'ah and social construction. Data was obtained from document study sources in the form of opinions of tafsir and fiqh scholars, journal articles and books related to the discussion. The informants interviewed were NU member, Muhammadiyah, MUI, and academics. The results of this study revealed that: first, based on the principles of justice and benefit, as the general elements of maqāṣid, in the inheritance verses, there is a command to set aside inherited property for the needy from the group of distant relatives, orphans, and the poor (al-Nisa: 8) and to help the heirs who are less able (al-Nisa: 9) as maqāṣid al-kulli. Second, based on social construction, at the externalization stage, the ulema and Muslim community in the city of Malang practice the Islamic charity by setting aside inherited property for the poor, the needy, and orphans in various forms such as slametanfor the deceased, endowments for orphanages, and donations to educational institutions, as well as giving some of the inherited property to their less fortunate relatives. Muslim community simultaneously objectifies the Islamic charity so that the Islamic charity becomes an objective reality in the city of Malang, although the Muhammadiyah community does not observe slametan. The internalization of the construction of Islamic charity as a final stage is understood by internalizing the verses of Islamic charity as the beliefs and teachings that must be implemented in society.

Abstract

This paper discusses Amin Al-Khuli's views on the Science of Balaghah and its relationship with the sciences of Philosophy and Psychology, as well as highlighting manipulation in the Qur'an. This research focuses on the relationship between Balaghah and Psychology, using the library research method. The author uses the book "Manahij Tajdid fi An-Nahwi wa Al-Balaghah wa At-Tafsir wa Al-Adab" as the main reference, accompanied by various relevant literature sources. The analysis was conducted to understand the implications of philosophy's relation to Balaghah Science, psychological manipulation in the Qur'an, as well as ideas and examples of psychological exposure in Islamic sacred texts. In this study, researchers found that Balaghah and Psychology are interrelated. The concept of Balaghah which includes the use of language and rhetoric in the Qur'an can affect the psychology of the reader. Psychological manipulation in the Qur'an is also found in the form of the use of language and rhetoric that aims to influence readers. However, the researcher emphasizes that such manipulation is not negative, but rather an attempt to help the reader understand the Qur'ānic message better. This research provides substantial insight into understanding the Qur'an from the perspective of Balaghah and Psychology. The library research method used allows the researcher to gain a deeper understanding of Amin Al-Khuli's views and provides a clear picture of the relationship between Balaghah and Psychology. Thus, this study can be an important reference for researchers and readers who are interested in understanding the Qur'an from this perspective.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the main arguments presented by Amina Wadud on inheritance in her book "Quran and Women" and evaluate the validity of her arguments. The scope of this research will include an analysis of Wadud's method of interpreting the Quran as outlined in the book Quran and Women which influenced her thoughts on Islamic inheritance and a critical study of her thoughts. This research is a type of qualitative research with a critical study approach. The results of the study show that a critical study of Wadud's thinking shows that she generalizes the 2:1 provision on the shares of men and women which actually only applies in certain cases. In addition, Wadud's demands for reinterpretation cannot be done without adequate interpretive science tools. Science explains that justice need not be interpreted as equality. There are two categories of justice, according to Aristotle: commutative justice and distributive justice. So that there can be no justification for questioning the Quran's just inheritance allocation. Furthermore, the provisions in the inheritance verse in the Quran are qath'i provisions so there is no justification for doing ijtihad which is presumptive (dzanny) in a reassuring text (qath'i). In addition, Wadud's thoughts are also considered less specific and do not provide a real format for how the redistribution she proposes. Therefore, Wadud's rereading in terms of inheritance is considered incomplete or incomprehensive of the Qur'an.

Abstract

Abstract: This article aims to explore the relationship between philosophy and balaghah, as well as the mutual influence between the two, focusing on Amin al-Khuli's “Manahij Tajdid Fi al-Nahw Wa al-Balaghah Wa al-Tafsir Wa al-Adab.” The relationship between philosophy and balaghah is a rarely discussed topic, so this article offers a new perspective on the study of Arabic literature and philosophical thought. In this study, the main sources analyzed are al-Khuli's works as well as several relevant articles and books, both those that discuss al-Khuli's thoughts directly and those that highlight the historical development of philosophy and balaghah. The method used is descriptive-analytical, in which the research deeply examines primary and secondary literature related to the topic. The author attempts to identify the elements of philosophy in classical balaghah works, as well as to trace the traces of philosophical thought in the balaghah tradition. The research also examines the important role of the translation of Aristotle's works into Arabic, which enriched the development of both disciplines. The results show that philosophical thought has long been present in the works of balaghah figures. This influence can be seen in written works that combine elements of philosophy and balaghah. Furthermore, the translation of classical Greek philosophical texts by Arab scholars further reinforced the importance of understanding philosophy for balaghah scholars. In conclusion, the relationship between philosophy and balaghah is mutually influential. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi hubungan antara filsafat dan balaghah, serta pengaruh timbal balik antara keduanya, dengan fokus pada karya Amin al-Khuli yang berjudul Manahij Tajdid Fi al-Nahw Wa al-Balaghah Wa al-Tafsir Wa al-Adab. Hubungan antara filsafat dan balaghah merupakan topik yang jarang dibahas, sehingga artikel ini menawarkan perspektif baru dalam kajian sastra Arab dan pemikiran filosofis. Sumber utama yang dianalisis adalah karya-karya al-Khuli serta beberapa artikel dan buku relevan lainnya, baik yang membahas pemikiran al-Khuli secara langsung maupun yang menyoroti perkembangan historis filsafat dan balaghah. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif-analitis dengan menelaah secara mendalam literatur primer dan sekunder yang berkaitan dengan topik. Penulis berupaya mengidentifikasi elemen-elemen filsafat dalam karya-karya balaghah klasik, serta menelusuri jejak pemikiran filosofis dalam tradisi balaghah. Penelitian ini juga mengkaji peran penting penerjemahan karya-karya Aristoteles ke dalam bahasa Arab, yang memperkaya perkembangan kedua disiplin ilmu tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemikiran filosofis telah lama hadir dalam karya-karya tokoh balaghah. Pengaruh ini dapat dilihat dalam karya-karya tertulis yang menggabungkan elemen-elemen filsafat dan balaghah. Lebih lanjut, penerjemahan teks-teks filosofis Yunani klasik oleh para sarjana Arab semakin memperkuat pentingnya pemahaman filsafat bagi para ahli balaghah. Kesimpulannya, hubungan antara filsafat dan balaghah saling mempengaruhi satu sama lain.

Abstract

This study explores the transformation of Islamic boarding school education, focusing on two key aspects: revitalization and modernization. Revitalization involves renewing educational programs to enhance their effectiveness, while modernization refers to evolving the Islamic education system to improve its quality. The research aims to analyze the historical leadership of Kyai Muafi Zaini in these movements, assess community responses to the changes, and evaluate the outcomes for alumni and the broader community. Utilizing qualitative historical research methods heuristic data collection, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography the study verifies data through credibility, dependability, confirmability, and transferability checks. Findings reveal that Kyai Muafi Zaini, a prominent figure born in 1947 and deceased in 2006, played a significant role in revitalizing and modernizing Islamic boarding school education, particularly in Sampang Regency. He was a charismatic leader who established several formal educational institutions, including MTs Nazhatut Thullab and SMA Nazhatut Thullab. Through these institutions, he implemented significant transformation efforts that not only contributed to the improvement of community welfare but also played a crucial role in changing the local perception of education in Sampang. Zaini's contributions were pivotal in enhancing the quality of education in the region, as well as in shifting the negative stigma traditionally associated with Islamic education. His vision and dedication fostered a learning environment that encouraged academic excellence and personal growth. His legacy as a committed scholar and influential community leader continues to inspire and shape the educational landscape, ensuring that future generations benefit from the foundation he helped create.

Abstract

The advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has had a significant impact on many parts of daily life, particularly for Muslims. The rise of problems about the ethics of employing AI from an Islamic perspective is worth discussing. This essay will look at Islamic perspectives on AI and how Islamic ethics might help guide the usage of this technology. This study takes a qualitative approach, employing literature study methods and an analysis of Islamic literature on ethics, technology, and artificial intelligence. The conclusion demonstrates that Islam supports the use of technology that benefits humanity while prioritizing ethical concepts such as justice, responsibility, and prudence in coping with the potential negative consequences of AI.

Abstract

Tolerance is a core value in Islam that is derived from the Qur'an and Hadith, emphasising social harmony and respect for differences. Verses like QS. Al-Baqarah: 256 and QS. Al-Mumtahanah: 8, as well as the hadiths on human relationships, show that diversity is part of the divine will. However, erroneous or limited interpretations can lead to practices that are contrary to these values. Therefore, a contextual approach is important to maintain the relevance of the teachings of tolerance in Islam in the modern era. Islamic educational institutions have a strategic role in instilling the values of tolerance through the curriculum, education, and cultural practices of the school. This study emphasises the importance of reinterpreting religious teachings to answer contemporary socio-cultural challenges, as well as the integration of tolerance values that combine faith, science, and humanity. However, there are significant challenges in interpreting the postulates of tolerance contextually, such as resistance from textualist groups, the dominance of traditionalist perspectives, and ideological pressure. To answer this challenge, a deep interpretive approach from thinkers such as Quraish Shihab and Amin Abdullah is needed for religious texts to make a positive contribution to pluralistic and peaceful societies. This article bridges the gap between textual and contextual studies of tolerance in Islam. By analysing the Qur'an and Hadith, this study enriches the academic discourse on universal values in Islamic teachings and the importance of education as a means of internalising these values. The article also proposes practical strategies, including curriculum reform and teacher training based on Islamic universal values, to build a tolerant and inclusive generation. Empirically based follow-up studies are recommended to evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of tolerance values in various types of Islamic educational institutions, both madrasas, Islamic boarding schools, and modern Islamic schools.
