Abstract

Obat merupakan komponen yang esensial dari suatu pelayanan kesehatan. Ketersediaan obat yang berlebih (overstock) dapat menyebabkan pemborosan anggaran dan berpotensi mengalami kadaluwarsa atau kerusakan. Ketersediaan obat yang kurang (stockout) dapat menyebabkan terganggunya pelayanan kesehatan kepada masyarakat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui tingkat ketersediaan obat yang ada di gudang farmasi Puskesmas Muntilan II berdasarkan Formularium Nasional (FORNAS). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional yang bersifat deskriptif. Proses pengambilan sampel obat dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengambilan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan secara prospektif yaitu menggunakan data rekapitulasi beban persediaan, kartu stok serta data obat kadaluwarsa selama bulan Desember pada tahun 2020. Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa persentase obat dengan jumlah yang sesuai yaitu sebesar 11,6 % dan persentase obat dengan jumlah tidak sesuai sebesar 88,4 %. Tingkat ketersediaan obat di Puskesmas Muntilan II pada bulan Desember 2020 rata-rata masih berlebih, banyaknya obat berlebih tersebut menunjukkan bahwa proses pengelolaan obat belum efektif. Hal tersebut berdampak pada obat-obat yang mengalami kadaluwarsa yakni sebesar 5,8 %. Waktu kekosongan obat menunjukkan persentase 2,6 % (9 hari). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kesesuaian ketersediaan obat dengan FORNAS masih belum optimal.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to study the activity of male papaya flower extract (Carica Papaya L) which was made as an antidiarrheal in order to provide insight and use of male papaya flowers (Carica Papaya L) as a study that discusses male papaya flowers are only used as cooking. This plant has a composition of compounds that contain antibacterial. The research method used was experimental research. The steps that have been carried out are determining the male papaya flower plant, extraction using male papaya flower simplicia powder with 70% ethanol solvent by maceration which is then evaporated on water to get a thick extract. Then make a bacterial suspension by incubating for 1x24 hours at 37 ° C. The results obtained show that the average inhibition zone at a concentration of 40% produces an average diameter of 2.6 cm, at a concentration of 30% produces an average diameter of 2.07 cm, and at a concentration of 20% produces an average diameter of 2.03 cm. Abstract

In the new normal era, clean and healthy living practices include always following health protocols like keeping a safe distance, washing hands, and donning masks. This Integrated Community Service Activity aims to increase public knowledge and awareness regarding clean and healthy lifestyles and improve the health and hygiene status. Implementation of this activity is carried out with outreach, training, and mentoring. As a result, more people are aware of the importance of health protocols in the New Normal era, the latest variant of Covid-19 to the therapy needed, how to make hand sanitizer, and an increase in children's knowledge about herbal candies. All activities are expected to be able to enhancing the community's health and standard of living.

Abstract

Cervical cancer is a cancer that occurs in the cervical part of the uterus that is the area in the female reproductive organs which is the entrance to the uterus located between the uterus and the burrow of intercourse. Cervical cancer treatment is known to be in several ways, one of which is by chemotherapy. Chemotherapy is a treatment using drugs both oral and intravenous that aim to inhibit or kill cancer cells, but treatment with chemotherapy has many side effects for people with cervical cancer. This study aims to analyze the side effects of chemotherapy in cervical cancer patients in Southeast Asia using the literature review method. The references used are literature obtained from Google Scholar and Pub Med from 2014 to 2020. After reviewing 15 journals it was stated that the side effects of chemotherapy on cervical cancer patients in Southeast Asia were nausea and vomiting (34.28%), anemia (14.28%), neurotoxins (14.28%), alopecia (11.42%), allergic reactions (8.57%), thrombocytopenia (8.57%), leukopenia (5.71%) and stomatitis (2.85%).

Abstract

Indonesian society began to make appearance as a primary need. Appearance becomes important for middle and upper social classes which reaches 60-70% in Indonesia. Researchers are trying to find a combination formula of two teeth whitening ingredients (Baking Soda and Peroxide). The study uses an experimental method, which is to make a dental gel with variety of gradient constituent formulas, including F1, F2, F3, F4, and F5. F5 is the most optimal formula with best stability test results among other. F5 with Peroxide concentration of 30% had teeth whitening activity of 38% by two months in vitro test on adult teeth samples.

Abstract

The Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak has created a global health crisis that has had a profound impact on the way we understand the world and everyday life, and the people of Karangrejo Village are no exception. This service aims to increase knowledge and provide information to the public regarding the prevention of Covid-19. The activity was carried out in the form of the Corona Education Center Program which consisted of socialization and health education. At the end of the activity, all the elderly had received the second dose of the vaccine and the households included as healthy homes had been well identified. Apart from that, health education has proven to be effective in influencing behavior and increasing participants' knowledge in efforts to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Abstract

Program Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS) is an initiative designed to improve the health and well-being of the community. Primary schools serve as the foundation for children's development, and the school environment plays a crucial role in shaping clean and healthy living habits from an early age. The purpose of this community service activity is to enhance the knowledge and understanding of students at State Elementary School 1 Plosogede about Clean and Healthy Living Behaviors (PHBS). This activity is carried out by providing PHBS socialization in the era of the Covid-19 endemic using methods such as lectures, discussions, Q&A sessions, and demonstrations. The results of the activity show an increase in students' knowledge, attitudes, and skills, with the expectation that they can improve their behavior in terms of PHBS. The evaluation results indicate that approximately 26 (74.28%) students received a score of 100, while 9 (25.71%) students received a score of 80.

Abstract

The use of non-prescription drugs in self-medication efforts has been widely used by the public for minor illnesses. Drugs that are often used for self-medication generally fall into the category of non-prescription drugs. People's behavior in self-medication is influenced by the ease of accessing various information about drugs and is also one of the respondents' considerations in selecting drugs. Pharmacists have an obligation to provide correct information regarding the use of non-prescription medicines. This study aims to determine the opinions of pharmacy respondents regarding non-prescription drug counseling and provide an overview of the implementation of self-medication in the Bantul area. A descriptive research design with a direct survey research method with a sample of pharmacies and patients was carried out using a purposive sampling technique. The results of this study show that the three classes of medicines most frequently purchased in the implementation of self-medication are vitamins and supplements (31%), cough and cold medicines (31%), and antipyretic analgesics (25%). Most respondents knew the rules for using drugs (100%), and pharmacists were a factor in selecting drugs (50%). As many as 96% of respondents admitted to reading drug labels when first purchasing. Respondents' opinions regarding counseling showed that there was a large need for non-prescription drug counseling (89%), as many as 61% had received non-prescription drug counseling with a counseling duration of 1–5 minutes.

Abstract

Abstract Indonesia is a country with a majority Muslim population, so the halal status of a product is very important in Indonesia. One indicator of halal products is medicine. Medicine itself is an important thing in the world of health. In a Muslim community, it is obligatory to know and pay attention to the drugs that will be consumed, besides that Health Workers are obliged to know about the halalness of the drugs that will be prescribed. Public awareness and knowledge related to the halalness of a drug in society, especially in Islam, is still a complex problem. This has an impact on the level of knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions of the public and health workers regarding the unavailability of a drug consumed or prescribed. This research was conducted to know knowledge,attitudes, perceptions community and medics towards halal pharmaceutical. The search for data in this study used the Google Scholar database with the keywords "Knowledge, Attitudes, Perceptions, Halal pharmaceutical, community, medics". The results of this study indicate knowledge, attitudes, perceptions of the community and health workers towards halal medicines respectively, showing an average score of 89.82%, 92.86%, and 97.53%. Based on this, it can be concluded that knowledge, attitudes, public and health workers' perceptions of halal drugs show good results. Keywords : Knowledge, Attitudes, Perceptions, Halal pharmaceutical, community, medics Abstrak Indonesia merupakan negara dengan mayoritas berpenduduk muslim, sehingga status kehalalan suatu produk merupakan hal yang sangat penting di Indonesia. Salah satu indikator produk halal adalah obat. Obat sendiri merupakan suatu hal yang penting dalam dunia Kesehatan. Sebagai masyarakat muslim berkewajiban untuk mengetahui, dan memperhatikan tentang obat yang akan dikonsumsi, selain itu tenaga Kesehatan wajib utuk mengetahui terkait kehalalan obat yang akan diresepkan. Kesadaran masyarakat serta pengetahuan terkait kehalalan suatu obat pada masyarakat khususnya islam masih menjadi masalah yang kompleks. Hal itu berdampak pada tingkat pengetahuan, sikap, persepsi masyarakat dan tenaga Kesehatan terkait kehalanan suatu obat yang dikonsumsi atau diresepkan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengetahuan, sikap, persepsi masyarakat dan tenaga kesehatan terhadap obat halal. Pencarian data pada penelitian ini menggunakan data base Google Scholar dengan kata kunci “Pengetahuan, Sikap, Persepsi, Obat halal, Masyarakat, Tenaga Kesehatan”. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan pengetahuan, sikap, persepsi masyarakat dan tenaga Kesehatan terhadap obat halal secara berturut-turut yaitu menunjukkan skor rata-rata sebesar 89,82%, 92,86%, dan 97,53%. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan, sikap, persepsi masyarakat dan tenaga kesehatan terhadap obat halal menunjukkan hasil yang baik. Abstract

Epilepsy is one of the most important neurological diseases. Epilepsy is often associated with physical injury, mental injury, and severe psychosocial consequences for those affected. The study aims to determine the description of anti-epileptic drug prescribing for outpatients at Prof. Dr. Soerojo Magelang Mental Hospital in January-June 2022. The method used in this research was descriptive, and it took saturated samples in the form of prescriptions from patients who met the inclusion criteria with an age range of 18-40 years. The results of the study showed that the sufferers who received the most antiepileptic drugs were women aged 18-29 years. The average number of drug items per prescription sheet is 1.99 following WHO standards. The most commonly prescribed antiepileptic drug is a single carbamazepine (20.49%), followed by a combination of Carbamazepine with Divalproex Sodium (13.66%) and a combination of Carbamazepine, Clobazam and Divalproex Sodium (12.68%). In contrast, the most common dosage and rules for use of antiepileptic drugs are Clobazam 1mg tablet, dose once a day, 1 tablet (20.78%).
