Abstract

Intolerance is one of the problems that occurs in Indonesia, especially in Gresik district. Educational institutions are the right solution to instill the value of moderation which can eliminate attitudes of intolerance, especially starting from early childhood education. Taman Asuh Anak Muslim (TAAM) Adinda is one of the early childhood education institutions located in Kepatihan village, Menganti sub-district, Gresik district. This institution consists of KB, RA, TPA, and TPQ. The problem faced at TAAM Adinda is that many educators and parents still do not understand the methods and importance of the value of religious moderation in early childhood. This community service activity was carried out to increase knowledge and understanding about increasing the value of religious moderation in early childhood at TAAM Adinda, Kepatihan Menganti Gresik. The time for implementing activities is 4 months. The method used was to gather educators and parents of TAAM Adinda students and then provide counseling about increasing the value of religious moderation in early childhood. This extension uses lecture and question and answer methods. The respondent's level of knowledge can be determined through a pre-test in the form of a questionnaire which will be filled in by the respondent to determine the level of knowledge regarding increasing the value of religious moderation in early childhood. The pre-test was carried out before the counseling was given, meanwhile to determine the increase in respondents' knowledge regarding increasing the value of religious moderation in early childhood, it could be determined by comparing the results of the post-test which was completed by the respondents after the counseling was carried out with the results of the pre-test. The output results of this community service activity are national journals and reports on increasing respondents' knowledge, understanding and awareness regarding increasing the value of religious moderation in early childhood. The conclusion in this community service activity is that the knowledge of educators and parents of students at the TAAM Adinda institution based on the pre-test results is mostly still low, while based on the post-test results, almost all participants have experienced an increase.

Abstract

Take a look at from the current situation, drinking a cup of coffee in a coffee shop becomes a living style trend in society. Not only teenagers experience enjoyable and comfort there, but also adult people feel the same too. This phenomenon are happening right now. Seeing this situation, it would be better if the activity of drinking coffee that was liked by the general public could be a way to overcome boredom in learning English, especially in speaking skills. However, not all students can get these facilities due to economic factors. They are called "Underprivileged Students". So, with this activity, it is hoped that it can help disadvantaged students so that they can get additional English education. The ranking shows that the English ability of the people in Indonesia is in the very low category. Without exception, teenagers or students in Surabaya. Especially those who experience this problem are underprivileged students, because they only get education through formal schools which are only carried out in class or online so they are less effective. As stated in the sub-chapter description of partner problems, there are solutions to overcome problems with partners. One of the creative ideas that can be done is to learn English at the Coffee Shop. This activity will take place through 4 stages, the first is pre-activity, the second is the general stage which includes the inauguration of the activity, the third is the core of the activity, and the fourth is the evaluation of the activity.

Abstract

There are differing opinions in the field of cognitive sciences when it comes to the role of sex in language acquisition. Men and women exhibit differences in their speaking and writing ability as a result of their distinct social roles throughout evolution. These disparities are equally, if not more, evident in students, both during normal and abnormal growth. In addition to the well-documented advantage that girls have in early language development, it is noteworthy that the majority of developmental problems that predominantly impact communication, speech, and language skills are more prevalent in boys. This article seeks to elucidate the disparities between sex regarding ordinary communication and language development, as well as the disparities in the occurrence of neurodevelopmental disorders connected to communication. Additionally, particular attention is given to data derived from the field of neuroscience, which may offer valuable insights into the neurological mechanisms that contribute to the comprehension of this event. We contend that the structural arrangement of the female brain confers women with an innate edge in developing communication and language systems compared to men. Divergent perspectives are present on the differentiation between sex within the field of cognitive sciences. The talks are founded upon clinical, social, and political perspectives. The evolutionary and biological perspectives have often emphasized arguments related to 'nature', whereas feminist and constructivist viewpoints have often emphasized arguments related to 'nurture' when discussing cognitive sex differences. This narrative review provides a comprehensive analysis of the origins and historical evolution of these arguments, as well as a summary of the findings in the field of sexually polymorphic cognition. By adopting multidisciplinary techniques, we aim to highlight the importance of interconnecting disciplines and gaining a more comprehensive knowledge of the precise factors that contribute to sex differences and gender diversity in cognitive capacities.

Abstract

The demand for fresh and high-quality melon has been steadily growing over the years. Certainly, supply chain challenges significantly impact farmers' ability to produce and distribute their products efficiently for some reasons. Moreover, melon crops are vulnerable to changes in weather and climate. Support in the form of climate-resilient farming practices, weather forecasting, and access to drought-resistant or heat-tolerant varieties can help farmers mitigate risks. Hence, melon farmers, like farmers of any other crop, require support for various reasons due challenging industry, and farmers often face a range of factors that can impact their performance. This article aims to explore how a community service program support a farmer group in Lamongan Jawa Timur by establishing a greenhouse for melon cultivation. The primary focus of a community development report is to document the planning, implementation, progress, and outcomes of a specific community development program. Data collection for a community development report involves qualitative approaches such as surveys, interviews, focus groups, and observations. The method follows the sequential step: The initial step is gathering information about the community's needs, challenges, and aspirations by conducting online interviews, and offline focus group discussion to understand the specific areas that require improvement. The second step is stakeholder mapping, which includes community members, local leaders, local university partners, and local business partners who have a vested interest in the program. The third step entails assessing potential risks and challenges that could hinder the development process. This includes identifying economic, social, environmental, or cultural risks. Based on the information gathered in the previous steps, the design of the community development program was to set clear goals, objectives, strategies, and action plans by tailoring to address the specific needs and circumstances of the community. Last, putting the program into action involves executing the strategies and action plans outlined in the program design, which includes organizing workshops, training sessions, and infrastructure development. The results show that community development is a dynamic and iterative process. Flexibility and adaptability are key qualities as the situation on the ground may change, and new insights may emerge. Additionally, involving the community at every stage of the process fosters ownership, empowerment, and sustainability of the development initiatives.

Abstract

Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL) improves writing proficiency through flexible, interactive, and feedback-oriented educational experiences. Mobile devices provide real-time modifications, multimedia integration, and collaborative activities such as blogging and peer review, allowing students to enhance their writing skills beyond conventional classroom limitations. Writing, a critical skill in language acquisition, requires not only mastery of vocabulary and syntax but also the ability to structure ideas and communicate effectively. However, traditional classroom instruction often lacks the immediate feedback and interactivity that modern learners need. MALL addresses these challenges by offering real-time feedback, interactive exercises, and multimedia resources that enhance the writing process. Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL) promotes vocabulary enhancement and cultural understanding via real digital information. Despite obstacles like technical limitations and application choices, its capacity to promote learner-centred environments is considerable. This study investigates the role of Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL) in enhancing writing skills, focussing on its advantages and obstacles, and analysing techniques to optimise its effectiveness. The findings from this research can guide optimal strategies for integrating mobile technology into language education, thereby enhancing student engagement and writing proficiency.
