ABSTRACTÂ This research is aimed to describe the influence cooperative model type TPS concerning description essay writing skills of student class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Pariaman. The research method of this study is experiment method with quasi experiment. The results of this study there was significant influence cooperative model type TPS concerning description essay writing skills of student class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Pariaman at significant level 95% with degrees of freedomÂ (n1+n2)-2, namely ttable <tarithmetic (1,70<9,19). Ho was rejected and H1 was accepted because the results of the hypothesis test prove that value of ttable was smaller than tarithmetic.Â Kata kunci: pengaruh, kooperatif, TPS, karangan deskripsi

ABSTRACTÂ This study aims to describe two things, namely to explain the structure and diction of the report text of the observation results of class VII students of SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman. This type of research is qualitative using descriptive methods. The data from this study are student texts. The data sources used in this study are documents. The instrument of this research is the researchers themselves. Data is analyzed by describing, analyzing, and discussing data based on theory. The results of this study are as follows. First, in writing the text of the report on the observation results of class VII students of SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman, they have used three text structures from the observation report. The structure is a general definition, part description and conclusion. This is evident from all the report texts on observations that have been analyzed, most students have written observational report texts fully using general definitions, part descriptions, and conclusions. Second, judging from the use of diction, students have used diction correctly. From the text analyzed students are more dominant precisely in diction writing, although there are also errors in formation, wrong writing, and the use of incorrect meanings in the observation report text by class VII students of SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman.Â Kata kunci : Â Kualitatif, Menulis, Teks, Struktur, Diksi

ABSTRACTÂ The article was written to describe thelistening skills of news text with the skills of writing news students class VIII SMP N 2 Batusangkar. The type of this study is quantitative research by using descriptive method. The research design used is correlational. Population in this study is students of grade VIII SMPN 2 Batusangkar registered in the academic year 2017/2018 amounted to 245 students. Sample were taken using proportional random sampling. Based on the result of this study, it can be concluded that correlation between listening skill with writing skill of news text student class VIII SMPN 2 Batusangkar with convidence 95% with degree of freedom n-1; t-count> t-table (5,55)> (1.68 ). ABSTRACTÂ This research aims to (1) describe grade ability in writing news text without using PBL model, (2) describe grade ability in writing news text with using PBL model, and (3) describe the effect of the use of PBL model, toward studentsâ€™ ability in writing news text. The type of this research is quantitative research done using experimental design. There are three results of the research are (1) the studentsâ€™ ability in writing news text without using PBL model is low and grades C with average 67,38, (2) the studentsâ€™ ability in writing news text with using PBL model is high and grades B with average 82,26, and (3) based on t-test, alternative hypothesis (HÂ1) is gained at the significant phase 95% and degrees of freedom (df) = (n1+n2)-2 because tcount> ttable (5,659>1,67).Â Kata Kunci: pengaruh, model problem based learning, menulis beritaÂ

Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â ABSTRACTThis article was written to describe the relation of reading undestanding skill of anecdote texts to the skill of writing the text of the anecdote of students of class X SMA Negeri 3 Padang Panjang. This research is a quantitative research with descriptive method and correlational design. The sample in this study amounted to 40 people. The data of this research is score of skill test result reading understanding the anecdote text and skill test result writing the text of anecdote. The data were gotten through an objective test intended to measure the studentâ€™s reading understanding of anecdote text and a performance test intended to measure the students skills of writing the text of anecdote. Based on data analysis and discussion, the following three things are obtained. First, the skill of writing the text of anecdote of the students class X of SMA Negeri 3 Padang Panjang is in good qualification (82,29). Second, the skill of reading understanding to the anecdote text of the students of class X SMA Negeri 3 Padang Panjang is in very good qualification (87,50). Third, there was a significant corelation between the students reading understanding of anecdote text with the skills of writing the anecdote text of strudent of class X SMA Negeri 3 Padang Panjang in which the significance level 95% with the degrees of freedom n-1 (dk = n-1). Based on research result and data analysis, we get the conclusions, that is there are significant relations of reading understanding skills and writing skills about anecdote text of ten grade SMA Negeri 3 Padang Panjang because we get that tcount > ttable i.e 2,228>1,68.Kata kunci: korelasi, keterampilan memahami, keterampilan menulis, teks anekdot

ABSTRACTÂ The purpose of this research is describe the shape and strategy in activities of the discussion in class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Padang. This type of research is a qualitative method descriptive. Data in this study is the shape and strategy of said expresive of students is a discussion activity. Based on the findings of research, we can conclude things here. There are six of the said thisplays used students in the discussion, which is say thank you, to say i am sorry, praising, criticizing, angry and complaining. The six of the said expressive was told by using four strategies are recalled, namely speak frankly without a word, speak frankly with a word modesty of the positive, speak frankly with further good manners and speak vaguely in the discussion.
