Abstract

This study examines the readiness of pre-service language teachers from five Asian countries (China, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia, and India) to implement deep learning strategies. A total of 6,113 participants completed a Likert-scale readiness questionnaire administered via Google Forms, and their responses were analyzed using the Rasch model, focusing on their preparedness in pedagogical, technological, and affective dimensions. The results revealed significant regional differences, with teachers from China demonstrating the highest levels of readiness, particularly in pedagogical and technological aspects, due to stronger institutional support. In contrast, teachers from India and Indonesia showed lower readiness, particularly in technological integration and institutional support. Gender differences were also observed, with female teachers showing higher readiness in pedagogical and affective areas. Age played a role, with teachers aged 26–35 years showing higher levels of readiness compared to younger participants. The findings highlight the need for teacher education programs to tailor their approaches to address regional, gender, and age-related differences, ensuring that all pre-service teachers are prepared to implement deep learning strategies effectively in diverse contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the transformative role of social media and artificial intelligence (AI) in contemporary Islamic preaching through a comprehensive literature review. Ten peer-reviewed articles published between 2019 and 2025 were purposively selected to examine the intersection between digital technology and the sociological dynamics of da’wah. The findings reveal that social media has redefined the public sphere of da’wah by fostering participatory, interactive, and community-driven communication models. Concurrently, AI facilitates the automation and personalization of religious content delivery, enhancing accessibility while raising ethical and epistemological concerns. The integration of these technologies has not only revolutionized the methods of da’wah but also disrupted traditional structures of religious authority and knowledge production. The novelty of this study lies in its dual focus on both social media and AI within the sociological framework of da’wah an area that remains underexplored in prior research. The study recommends the development of digital literacy, ethical guidelines for AI-assisted preaching, and a renewed conceptual paradigm for understanding da’wah within a digitized religious ecosystem.

Abstract

This study investigates the psychological impact of social media on female teachers in Islamic schools and their readiness to manage its negative effects. Using a mixed-methods design and Rasch model analysis, data were collected from 621 teachers across diverse Indonesian regions. The findings reveal significant variations in perceived mental health impact and coping readiness based on age, education level, region, and social media usage patterns. Teachers with high engagement, especially on visual platforms like Instagram and TikTok, reported increased psychological stress. Rasch-based DIF analysis highlighted item-level disparities across demographic subgroups. The study offers a novel contribution by integrating Islamic concepts maqashid syariah, fitrah, and ihsan into the interpretation of digital mental health, emphasizing the spiritual and cultural dimensions of resilience. The results underscore the importance of culturally sensitive interventions that support both psychological well-being and religious identity. Limitations include the study’s cross-sectional nature and context-specific sample.
