Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the differences in the use of the English language in electronic and manual documentation in nursing practice. Documentation is a crucial element in patient care, and with technological advancements, many healthcare institutions are transitioning from manual records to electronic documentation systems. The focus of this study is to identify variations in clarity, accuracy, and efficiency of nurse communication using both documentation methods.The research methodology involves surveys and document analysis on a sample of nurses engaged in both types of documentation. Surveys will assess nurses' perceptions regarding the clarity of documented information, the accuracy of information, and the efficiency of usage. The analyzed documents will include patient records, care plans, and incident reports.The research outcomes are expected to provide insights into the strengths and weaknesses of each documentation method, aiding healthcare organizations in decision-making regarding the implementation or development of documentation systems. The practical implications of this research can enhance nurse communication effectiveness and the quality of patient care, especially in the continually evolving healthcare information technology era.

Abstract

This study investigates the enhancement of English speaking skills through the storytelling method at SMK Budi Utomo Binjai in 2022. The research aims to determine the effectiveness of storytelling as a pedagogical tool in improving students' verbal communication abilities in English. Employing a qualitative approach, data were collected through observations, interviews, and tests administered before and after the intervention. Findings indicate a significant improvement in students' speaking skills, with notable advancements in fluency, vocabulary usage, and confidence. The storytelling method proved to be an engaging and effective strategy, fostering a more interactive and participatory classroom environment. These results suggest that incorporating storytelling into language learning curricula can significantly enhance students' speaking proficiency, offering valuable implications for educators seeking innovative approaches to teaching English.

Abstract

The process of handling financing aims to identify strategies for addressing problematic financing in savings and loan cooperatives or BMT (Baitul Maal Wat Tamwil). The research method employed is qualitative, utilizing structured interviews, field observations, and documentation for data collection. The primary factors contributing to problematic financing in BMTs are identified as internal factors (suboptimal analysis of documents and adherence to financing standard operating procedures) and external factors (dishonesty and untrustworthiness among members, malicious intentions, procrastination by members, and unintentional factors such as relocation and natural disasters). Handling strategies involve communication via mobile phones (WhatsApp messages or calls), issuing warning letters, and executing collateral. Efforts to mitigate problematic financing include strict adherence to standard operating procedures, adequate task allocation, the application of prudence principles, and enhancement of employee skills.

Abstract

In this study, English language learning through outbound activities aimed to enhance students' cooperation and communication skills at SMK Negeri 2 Binjai in 2022. The research focused on utilizing outbound activities as a method to improve students' English language proficiency by fostering teamwork and effective communication. The objectives included evaluating the effectiveness of outbound activities in enhancing students' cooperation and communication skills, assessing students' perceptions towards English learning through outbound, and identifying the implications of incorporating outbound activities in English language education. Methods involved observation, interviews, and surveys to gather data on students' participation, perceptions, and learning outcomes. Findings indicated a significant improvement in students' cooperation and communication skills after engaging in outbound activities. The study concludes that incorporating outbound activities in English language learning can effectively promote teamwork, communication, and language proficiency among students.

Abstract

This research explores students' understanding of English dialect variations at MAN Binjai in 2021. It addresses the urgency of comprehending dialect variations within the globalized education context and the imperative need for English language proficiency in the healthcare domain. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study design, the study involves X and XI grade students selected through purposive sampling. Data collection includes interviews, observations, and document analysis, analyzed thematically. Findings reveal diverse student understandings influenced by religious norms, media, and challenges in adapting to remote learning during the pandemic. The implications highlight contributions to understanding student comprehension variability and formulating adaptive learning strategies in a madrasah setting.

Abstract

The increasing use of digital platforms in the healthcare industry has highlighted the importance of effective communication, especially in English, as it is the primary language for disseminating global health information. This study examines the linguistic aspects of English usage in health information delivery on digital platforms, focusing on clarity, accessibility, and accuracy. The research aims to analyze how linguistic features, such as word choice, sentence structure, and tone, impact the comprehension of health-related content by diverse audiences.The study employs a qualitative approach, analyzing a sample of health-related websites, social media posts, and mobile health applications. Discourse analysis is used to identify patterns and strategies in the presentation of information, particularly how technical medical terms are simplified for laypeople.The findings reveal that while most platforms aim for clarity and inclusivity, inconsistencies in language use and overly technical jargon often hinder comprehension. Additionally, the use of complex sentence structures can create barriers, especially for non-native English speakers.The study concludes that improving linguistic accessibility on digital health platforms can enhance public understanding and engagement with health information, contributing to better health outcomes. Recommendations for creating more user-friendly, linguistically accessible content are also provided.

Abstract

School snacks are foods that are usually sold at school and are known as snacks or snacks, lunches for students at school. Usually in the form of foods that are easy to carry and eat such as chips, candy or biscuits. School snacks can be snacks, drinks, ice cream or snacks that students can buy during break times or when they go home. School snacks are usually sold around or near the school, such as in the canteen, in nearby shops, or at snack outlets. School snacks need to be considered because they affect students' health and nutrition, and can affect their learning performance and behavior. Therefore, school snacks must be ensured to be quality and healthy. To ensure student health and academic success. Therefore, school snacks must be ensured to be high quality and healthy to ensure students' health, academic success and good behavior. Institutions have an important role in controlling snacks around schools. Institutions must make clear policies about permitted snacks, such as limiting oily, sweet, salty snacks, or foods with certain food additives. Abstract

This Community Service aims to introduce English to toddlers at Fina Sembiring Clinic, Medan Polonia District, through a play-based learning approach in 2024. The program utilizes interactive teaching methods that combine educational games, children's songs, and picture stories to create a fun and effective learning environment for the children. By using this strategy, it is expected that children can develop basic English skills, such as vocabulary, pronunciation, and basic comprehension through age-appropriate activities. Active parental participation is also a focus of this program, providing guidelines and brief training to help them continue practicing English at home. The effectiveness of the program is evaluated through direct observation, interviews with parents, and language development tests specifically designed for toddlers. The results of this activity show that the play-based learning approach can increase children's interest and basic English skills. Moreover, active parental involvement proves crucial in supporting the success of this program. In conclusion, this approach not only improves toddlers' English skills but also creates a positive bond between children and parents in the learning process.

Abstract

Abstrak Keberadaan BMT sangat berperan dan berpengaruh bagi masyarakat kecil karena dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber modal yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan usaha agar menjadi berkembang dari sebelumnya serta terjadi peningkatan pada pendapatannya, tambahan modal tersebut disebut dengan sistem pembiayaan musyarakah (profit sharing). Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatahui seberapa besar pengaruh pembiayaan musyarakah secara parsial terhadap usaha mikro dan peningkatan pendapatan nasabah di BMT Islamic Centre. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui penyebaran angket. Dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 85 responden. Analisis data menggunakan regresi linier sederhana, dengan pengujian validitas, pengujian reliabilitas, dan analisis determinasi, sedangkan pengujian secara parsial menggunakan uji t. Selain itu dilakukan juga uji asumsi klasik, dimana semua pengujian tersebut menggunakan alat bantu program SPSS versi 21. Berdasarkan hasil uji validitas dan reliabilitas setiap item pernyataan pada variabel pembiayaan musyarakah, usaha mikro, dan pendapatan nasabah dinyatakan valid dan reliabel. Serta hasil dari uji asumsi klasik semua data terbebas dari uji normalitas dan uji linearitas. Pada uji t, variabel pembiayaan musyarakah secara parsial berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap usaha mikro dengan nilai thitung > ttabel (3,039 > 1,663). Dan variabel pembiayaan musyarakah secara parsial berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap pendapatan nasabah dengan nilai thitung > ttabel (2,231 > 1,663). Dan koefisien determinasi (R2) 10% usaha mikro dipengaruhi oleh pembiayaan musyarakah serta 5,7% pendapatan nasabah dipengaruhi oleh pembiayaan musyarakah. Sedangkan sisanya 90% usaha mikro dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak dicantumkan dalam penelitian ini, begitupun dengan pendapatan nasabah sebesar 94,3% sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain juga. Kata Kunci: Pendapatan Nasabah, Usaha Mikro, dan Pembiayaan Musyarakah AbstractThe existence of BMT is very important and influential for the small community because it can be used as a source of capital that can be used to increase its business to be developed from the previous and there is an increase in income, additional capital is called the system of musyarakah financing (profit sharing). Therefore, this study aims to determine how much influence partial financing of musyarakah to micro business and increase customer income in BMT Islamic Center. This research uses quantitative approach. The data used in this study is primary data with data collection techniques through questionnaires. With the number of respondents as many as 85 respondents. Data analysis used simple linear regression, with validity testing, reliability testing, and determination analysis, while the test partially using the t test. In addition it is also done the classical assumption test, where all the tests using tools SPSS program version 21. Based on the results of validity and reliability test each item statement on musyarakah financing variables, micro business, and customer income declared valid and reliable. As well as the results of the classical assumption test all data are free of normality test and linearity test. In t-test, musyarakah financing variable partially significant to micro business with tcount> ttable (3,039> 1,663). And musyarakah financing variables partially significant effect on customer's income with tcount> ttable (2,231> 1,663). And the coefficient of determination (R2) 10% of micro business is influenced by musyarakah financing and 5.7% of customer's income is influenced by musyarakah financing. While the remaining 90% of micro business is influenced by other factors not listed in this study, as well as with customer income of 94.3% the rest is influenced by other factors as well. Keywords: Customer Revenue, Micro Business, and Musyarakah Financing

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of dividend policy, investment decisions, company growth, and profitability on the value of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2020-2022. The company value is measured using the Price to Book Value (PBV) ratio, while the independent variables include dividend policy measured by the Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR), investment decisions using the Price Earnings Ratio (PER), company growth measured by asset growth, and profitability measured by the Net Profit Margin (NPM). This research utilizes a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression techniques to analyze secondary data obtained from the companies' annual financial reports. The findings indicate that dividend policy, investment decisions, company growth, and profitability simultaneously have a significant impact on the company's value. Partially, dividend policy, investment decisions, and company growth have a significant positive effect on company value, while profitability shows a more varied influence. These findings highlight the importance of company management in considering consistent dividend policies, strategic investment decisions, and effective profitability management to enhance company value and attract investors.
