Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the influence of PBI model to creative thinking skill in argumentative writing on influence of population density on environment subject matter. The design of this research was control group pretest-posttest non equivalent. The samples were class VII3 and VII2 SMP Satya Dharma Sudjana Central Lampung, which was obtained by purposive sampling technique. The quantitative data were creative thinking in argumentative writing which were obtained from pretest, posttest, and N-gain that were analyzed by t test and U test. The qualitative data were response to PBI model which obtained from questionnaire were analyzed by descriptive. The result showed that the average of creative thinking in argumentative writing N-gain in experiment class was 52,33% different significantly than control class (40,04%) and most of the students showed positive responses to the using of PBI model. It could be concluded that PBI model influenced creative thinking skill in argumentative writing.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh model PBI terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam tulisan argumentatif siswa pada materi pengaruh kepadatan populasi manusia terhadap lingkungan. Desain penelitian ini merupakan desain pretest-posttest tak ekuivalen. Sampel adalah siswa kelas VII3 dan VII2 SMP Satya Dharma Sudjana Lampung Tengah, yang diperoleh melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif berupa berpikir kreatif dalam tulisan argumentatif diperoleh dari pretest, posttest, dan N-gain yang dianalisis dengan uji t dan uji U. Data kualitatif berupa tanggapan siswa terhadap model PBI diperoleh dari angket yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, rata-rata N-gain berpikir kreatif dalam tulisan argumentatif siswa kelas eksperimen (52,33%) berbeda signifikan dengan kelas kontrol (40,04%) dan sebagian besar siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan model PBI. Sehingga, penerapan model PBI berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam tulisan argumentatif siswa.Kata kunci: kemampuan berpikir kreatif, PBI, tulisan argumentatif

Abstract

The researchs purpose was to find out students questioning skills in biology subject. It was a descriptive research with sample of X IPA 1, X IPA 2, X IPA3 XI IPA 3, XI IPA 4, and XI IPA 5 that were took from random sampling method. Qualitative data contains of students questioning skills and questions quality. All data for research was collected from observation using observation sheet and documentary video of class activity. The results showed that the students questioning skills category was medium (68.64%) with question quantity category was low(33.93%) and questioning procedures was high (77.32%). The questions dominated by low level question cognitive (79.54%). Female students was able to propose questions up to analyzing level (C4) whereas male students was able to propose questions up to construct level (C6).Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterampilan bertanya siswa dalam pembelajaran biologi. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan sampel penelitian yaitu siswa kelas X IPA 1, X IPA 2, X IPA 3, XI IPA 3, XI IPA 4, XI IPA 5 yang dipilih dengan teknik random sampling. Data kualitatif berupa keterampilan bertanya dan kualitas pertanyaan siswa. Data mengenai keterampilan bertanya siswa dan kualitas pertanyaan siswa diperoleh dari kegiatan observasi menggunakan lembar observasi dan dokumentasi proses pembelajaran dalam bentuk video. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan bertanya siswa berkategori sedang (68,64%) dengan kuantitas pertanyaan yang berkategori rendah (33,93%) dan tata cara bertanya yang berkategori tinggi (77,32%). Kualitas Pertanyaan didominasi oleh pertanyaan tingkat kognitif rendah (79,54%). Siswa perempuan dapat mengajukan pertanyaan sampai dengan tingkat menganalisis (C4) sedangkan siswa laki-laki mampu mengajukan pertanyaan sampai dengan tingkat mencipta (C6).Kata kunci: keterampilan bertanya, kualitas pertanyaan, taksonomi Bloom revisi

Abstract

This research aimed to know the effect of practical method for student’s learning activities and process skills. This research design was pretest-posttest non equivalent group. The samples were IVA and IVB  chosen by purposive sampling. The data of this research were quantitative got from average of pretest , posttest, and gain value with statistic program by t-test and U-test analysis and qualitative data got form observation of learning activities by descriptive analysis. The result showed the practical method can improve student’s learning activity with the average score of all aspect in experiment class was very high criteria (90%). Besides, the student’s process skill improved, that were observation, communication, prediction, classification, and inferention with average of gain was 0,68. Thus, learning practice method use has significant influent to improve student’s learning activities and process skill. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode praktikum terhadap aktivitas belajar dan keterampilan proses siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretes-postes kelompok tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas IVA dan IVB yang dipilih dari populasi secara purposive sampling. Data penelitian ini berupa data kuantitatif yang diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes, postes, dan gain kemudian  dianalisis secara statistik dengan uji t dan uji U serta data kualitatif yang diperoleh dari lembar observasi aktivitas belajar siswa kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode praktikum dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa dengan nilai rata-rata semua aspek pada kelas eksperimen berkriteria sangat tinggi (90%). Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan pada keterampilan proses siswa, yaitu mengamati, mengkomunikasikan, memprediksi, mengklasifikasi, dan menginferensi dengan rata-rata gain 0,68. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran menggunakan metode praktikum berpengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan keterampilan proses siswa.  Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar, keterampilan proses siswa, metode praktikum

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the influence of problem based learnings (PBL) model on argumentations skill and students result study on the management of environmental subject matter. The design of this research was quasi experimental with non equivalent pretest-postest. The samples of this research was the students at VIIH and VIID which was chosen from the population by purposive sampling. The quantitative data were obtained from pretest, posttest, and N-gain score which was analyzed statistics using t-test. The qualitative data in form of argumentations skill and questionnaire of students response on using of PBL model. The indicators of an argument include the claim, data, warrants, backing, and rebuttal. Argumentations skill average on experiment class get sufficient criteria (55%). This increasing was followed by student result study with N-gain average (67). Based on this research, it could be concluded that the PBL model give influence to argumentations skill and students result study. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL), terhadap kemampuan berargumentasi dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi pokok pengelolaan lingkungan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain pretest-postest non equivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIH dan VIID yang dipilih dari populasi secara purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari nilai pretest, postest dan N-gain yang dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji-t. Data kualitatif berupa deskripsi kemampuan berargumentasi dan tanggapan siswa terhadap model PBL. Indikator kemampuan berargumentasi meliputi claim, data, warrant, backing, dan rebuttal. Rata-rata kemampuan berargumentasi pada kelas eksperimen berkriteria cukup (55%). Meningkatnya kemampuan berargumentasi diikuti dengan meningkatnya hasil belajar siswa dengan rata-rata N-gain (67). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran PBL berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berargumentasi dan hasil belajar siswa.Kata kunci: hasil belajar, kemampuan berargumentasi, problem based learning

Abstract

This research purpose was to know the influence ofSTAD cooperative learningmodel towards students activities and learning outcomes. The research used non equivalent pretest posttest design. The sampleswere students of VIIb dan VIId class that were selected by purposive sampling technique. Qualitative data were obtained from learning activities observation sheets and students questionnaire responses that were analyzed descriptively. Quantitative data were obtained from the average value of test that were analyzed by using t- and U-test. The average of student learning activities percentage in all aspects in experiment class showed higher improvement than contro (experiment= 79,04; control = 73,96).The results showed that the average of learning outcomes in experiment class was higher than control class (experiment = 68; control = 44). Therefore, STAD cooperative learningmodel improved students activities and learning outcomes.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Desain penelitian menggunakan pretes-postes tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian siswa kelas VIIb dan VIIdyang dipilih menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Data kualitatif diperoleh dari lembar observasi aktivitas belajar dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas dan uji-U. Rata-rata persentase aktivitas siswa semua aspek kelas eksperimen juga menunjukkan peningkatan yang lebih tinggi (eksperimen = 79,04; kontrol = 73,96). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD pada kelas eksperimen berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa,(eksperimen = 68; kontrol = 44).Dengan demikian, penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa.Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar, hasil belajar, model STAD

Abstract

This study aims to describe the conformity level of protist material on Biology textbook of high school class X with basic competence of 2013 curriculum from aspect of material breadth and depth. This study using descriptive design. The book sample used was book A published by Erlangga and book B published by Yrama Widya. The data in this study was the suitability of protist material on textbook based on the aspect of material breadth and depth. Data were collected using documentation studies through content analysis of the book. The result of this study showed that the conformity level of protist material with the basic competence of 2013 curriculum on A book was evaluated from the breadth aspect of material that was categorized "very appropriate" with 93.3%, while B book was categorized "appropriate" with 80% and for depth aspect of material on A book categorized "very appropriate" with 86.5%, while B book was categorized "appropriate" with 65.2%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat kesesuaian materi protista pada buku teks Biologi SMA kelas X dengan kompetensi dasar kurikulum 2013 ditinjau dari aspek keluasan dan kedalaman materi. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif. Sampel buku yang digunakan adalah buku A diterbitkan oleh Erlangga dan buku B diterbitkan oleh Yrama Widya. Data dalam penelitian berupa kesesuaian materi protista pada buku teks berdasarkan aspek keluasan dan kedalaman materi. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan studi dokumentasi melalui analisis isi (konten) buku. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kesesuaian materi protista dengan kompetensi dasar kurikulum 2013 ditinjau dari aspek keluasan materi pada buku A berkategori sangat sesuai dengan presentase 93,3%, sedangkan buku B berkategori sesuai dengan presentase 80% dan ditinjau dari aspek kedalaman materi pada buku A berkategori sangat sesuai dengan presentase 86,5%, sedangkan buku B berkategori sesuai dengan presentase 65,2%.Kata kunci: buku teks, kedalaman materi, keluasan materi, tingkat kesesuaian

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the profil of students activity in SMA N 1 Talang Padang that using word square worksheet in ecosystem subject matter. This research was descriptive research. The research samples were students X IPA 1. The samples technique was purposive sampling. This research data is qualitative data learning that is students activity taken from observation sheet and students responses questionnaire. Data were analyzed descriptively. The result showed that all of the aspect were increased (1) that are Look and pay attention to video was good criteria (78,21%), (2) listening the teacher was good criteria (78,85%), (3) discussion and to LKS was good criteria explanation (82,69%), (4) the presentation activity group was good criteria (82,69 %). Beside that, all of the students gave positive response about using worksheet of word square by video. Indicate that using worksheet of word square by video can increase students learning activity.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil aktivitas belajar siswa SMA Negeri 1 Talang Padang dengan penggunaan LKS berbentukword square pada materi ekosistem. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X IPA 1. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah purposive sampling. Data penelitian ini berupa data kualitatif, yaitu data aktivitas belajar siswayang diambil dengan lembar observasi dan angket tanggapan siswa. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian, semua aspek yang diamati mengalami peningkatan yaitu (1) melihat dan memperhatikan video berkriteria baik (78,21%), (2) mendengarkan penjelasan guru berkriteria baik (78,85%), (3) diskusi dan mengerjakan LKS berkriteria baik (79,49%) dan (4) mempresentasikan kegiatan kelompok berkriteria baik (82,69%). Selain itu, semua siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan LKS berbentuk word square melalui media video. Dengan demikian, penggunaan LKS berbentuk word square melalui media video dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa.Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar, ekosistem, video, word square

Abstract

This study aims to know the effect of examples non examples model towards students learning activities and students learning outcome. This study design was pretest-posttest non-equivalent group. Samples were IVa and IVb, chosen by saturated sampling. This research data is in the form of quantitative which analyzed by using U-test and the qualitative data which obtained form the observation sheet of learning activities and questionnaire responses of students were analyzed descriptively. The result of the research shows that the use examples non examples model can improve students' learning activity with the average score of each aspect in the experimental class was 90.22 with asking questions ability 97.83 as the highest aspect. While the average score of students' learning achievement in pretest was 41.73, posttest 79.95 and N-gain 0.60. All students' (100%) give positive responses that they were happy towards the use of examples non examples model. Therefore, it can be concluded that examples non examples model affected students' learning achievement significantly.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model examples non examples terhadap aktivitas belajar siswa dan hasil belajar. Desain penelitian pretes-postes kelompok non-equivalen. Sampel penelitian siswa kelas IVa dan IVb dipilih secara sampling jenuh. Data penelitian berupa data kuantitatif yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-U dan data kualitatif yang diperoleh dari lembar observasi aktivitas belajar dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model examples non examples dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa dengan nilai rata-rata semua aspek pada kelas ekperimen 90,22 dengan aspek tertinggi kemampuan bertanya (97,83). Sedangkan hasil belajar siswa dengan rata-rata pretes pada kelas eksperimen 41,73, postes 79,95 dan N-gain 0,60. Semua siswa (100%) tanggapan positif yaitu senang terhadap penggunaan model examples non examples. Dengan demikian model examples non examples berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar.Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar, examples non examples, hasil belajar

Abstract

The result of Interviews and observations at SMP Negeri 5 Natar to class VIII students’ learning result in the subject matter of biology digestive system is still low. So we need variety of teaching materials to improve student learning result, an alternative instructional materials to improve learning result is a leaflet. The purpose of this study to determine the effect of the use of instructional materials leaflet with learning model STAD (Student Teams Achievement Division) against the learning result of students in the subject matter of the digestive system. The research design was a pre-test post-test non-equivalent, with random sampling cluster sampling technique. Quantitative data obtained from the average pre-test and post-test data analysis using t-test at 95% confidence level. Qualitative data obtained activity data and the intersting of teaching by materials leaflet.The results showed that there is significant inrease of the students’ learning result in the class that uses the material of instructional leaflet with the average - the average value of N-gain of 46.67. Improved student learning result are also influenced by students' learning activities using cooperative learning model type STAD which increased on average 0.26. Thus the use of teaching materials leaflet with type STAD cooperative learning model significantly affect the improvement of learning result and activities by students on the subject matter of the digestive system

Abstract

This study was aim improve of the science process skill’s student through observation method. This study design was pretest-postest non equivalent group. Samples were VIIA  and VIIB  that chosen by purposive sampling. This research data the form of quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data obtained from the average value of test were analyzed by using t-test and U-test. Qualitative data obtained form the observation sheet of learning activities and questionnaire responses of students were analyzed descriptive. The results showed the science process skill’s of students was also improve with average N-gain 0.62. Learning activities student was also improve with average 86.96. Most students responded positively to the application of the observation method. Thus, it could be concluded that application observation method was influenced significan to improve the science process skill’s of student and activities students in the characteristics of  living creatures subject matter. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh metode observasi terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa. Desain penelitian adalah  pretes-postes kelompok non ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIIA dan VIIIB  yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data kualitatif diperoleh dari lembar observasi aktivitas belajar dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keterampilan proses sains siswa mengalami peningkatan dengan rata-rata N-gain 0,62. Aktivitas belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan dengan rata-rata 86.96. Sebagian besar siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penerapan metode observasi. Dengan demikian, penerapan metode observasi berpengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa dan aktivitas belajar siswa pada materi pokok ciri-ciri makhluk hidup. Kata kunci :  aktivitas belajar, keterampilan proses sains (KPS), metode observasi
