Abstract

Analysis of nahwu errors is the linguistic analysis of errors in terms of nahwu by defining, describing, and explanation of those errors. Grammar errors occur due to ignorance of nahwu rules. One of the nahwu rules used by the students at Gontor for Girls is the rule of the ‘adad and the ma’dūd. The students understand numbers in Arabic but find it challenging to apply the correct rule of the 'adad and the ma’dūd due to a lack of understanding of that rule. This research aims to identify the forms of errors and analyze nahwu errors in the ‘adad and the ma’dūd for the third grade at Darussalām Islamic Institution Gontor for Girls for the academic year 2022-2023. In this research, the researcher uses qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The researcher uses the document method in collecting data taken from daily tests in the ‘adad and the ma’dūd to address the forms of nahwu errors in the ‘adad and the ma’dūd. The results of this research show that the forms of nahwu errors in the ‘adad and the ma’dūd for the third grade at Darussalām Islamic Institution Gontor for Girls for the academic year 2022-2023 consist of errors in tażkīr and ta’nīṡ, in iḍāfah, with tamyīz. As for the analysis of nahwu errors in the ‘adad and the ma’dūd for the third grade at Darussalām Islamic Institution Gontor for Girls for the academic year 2022-2023, after definition, description and explanation, there are some errors that occur 20 times in tażkīr and ta’nīṡ, 5 times in iḍāfah, and 9 times in tamyīz. To improve the quality of teaching the Arabic language to students, teachers should pay attention to the difficulties and problems faced by students in learning the Arabic language, especially in teaching the 'adad and the ma’dūd, and students should be given more exercises in the ‘adad and the ma’dūd. Abstract

This inquiry makes a deliberate effort to harmonize students' latent instincts and cognitive faculties with the progressive refinement of their Arabic speaking proficiency while confronting pedagogical challenges and uplifting the standards of instruction within the al-Mahārah al-Kalām curriculum. At the heart of this endeavor lies the Think Pair Share (TPS) strategy, a collaborative educational method that encourages individual contemplation and facilitates dialectic engagement and communal reflection. Through such methodological precision, the study aspired to stimulate active participation, deepen comprehension, and enhance students' communicative competencies in the Arabic language. Focusing its gaze on Year Eight students of the State Islamic Junior High School (MTSN) 1 in East Java during the academic year of 2023-2024, the research unfolded through the paradigm of classroom action research (PTK), following the model posited by Kemmis and Taggart. This model, grounded in four distinct stages—planning, observation, implementation, and reflection—allowed the investigation to traverse a meticulously structured path. The process was executed across two cycles: the first cycle centered on "al-Hiwāyah" (aspirations), while the second gravitated towards "mihnah" (professions). Each cycle adhered rigorously to the procedural demands of planning, execution, observation, and subsequent reflection, thus ensuring the validity and reliability of the resultant data. The findings were revealing: there emerged a pronounced enhancement in the quality of instruction, with 75% of the cohort attaining commendable levels of achievement. The TPS strategy enriched the student's grasp of the material and fostered heightened engagement, greater confidence, and an evident fluency in their Arabic speech. In its broader implications, this study underscores the efficacy of the TPS method in furthering both the pedagogical quality and the linguistic proficiency of students within the al-Mahārah al-Kalām framework for Year Eight at MTSN 1  Madiun. Abstract

This study examines the role of the problem-based learning model in mastering mufradāt among 3 KMI at Islamic boarding schools. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through classroom observations, interviews with teachers and language instructors, and a review of relevant documents. The results indicate that the implementation of PBL strengthened mastery of mufradāt through several indicators: an accurate understanding of word meanings, increased vocabulary use in oral responses, and a more consistent ability to construct sentences appropriate to the context. Changes in learning behaviour were also evident, such as more active participation, the ability to solve problems independently and in groups, and increased Confidence in speaking Arabic. The problem identification stage and the collaborative inquiry process were the most influential aspects. The context of language familiarisation, such as muhādarah and taʿbīr syafawī, enhanced the natural internalization of new words, forming a strong synergy with PBL. This research offers novelty by demonstrating the readiness of PBL to be integrated into the immersive learning culture of modern Islamic boarding schools, thereby making it an effective model for contextual mufradāt learning.
