Abstract

Program Pojok Baca dirancang sebagai solusi inovatif untuk meningkatkan literasi siswa sekolah dasar yang masih menjadi permasalahan serius di Indonesia. Tujuan utama dari program ini adalah meningkatkan minat baca dan kemampuan literasi siswa melalui penyediaan fasilitas membaca yang menarik, ramah anak, dan mudah diakses. Bentuk kegiatan dalam program ini meliputi penyediaan ruang baca dengan dekorasi menarik, pengadaan koleksi buku yang beragam dan relevan, serta pelaksanaan berbagai aktivitas pendukung literasi seperti lomba membaca, bercerita, dan diskusi buku. Hasil dari implementasi program ini menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam minat dan frekuensi membaca siswa. Berdasarkan observasi dan evaluasi, siswa menjadi lebih antusias dalam memanfaatkan waktu luang untuk membaca di Pojok Baca. Selain itu, keterlibatan siswa dalam kegiatan literasi juga meningkat, yang ditandai dengan tingginya partisipasi dalam lomba dan diskusi buku. Program ini tidak hanya berkontribusi pada peningkatan kemampuan literasi siswa, tetapi juga menciptakan budaya membaca yang lebih kuat di lingkungan sekolah. Dengan demikian, Pojok Baca dapat menjadi model keberhasilan yang dapat direplikasi di sekolah-sekolah lain untuk mengatasi tantangan literasi di Indonesia.

Abstract

Modifications in the curriculum of education signify advancements in science and technology. The Merdeka curriculum is an initiative aimed at addressing contemporary demands and technological integration, affecting education across multiple levels. This study seeks to evaluate the transition to the independent curriculum from the 2013 curriculum in primary schools, focusing on its implementation, challenges, impacts, and potential solutions. This research employs a descriptive qualitative methodology. The findings of this study indicate that the independent curriculum is executed in phases in accordance with governmental directions. The process of transitioning the independent curriculum from the 2013 curriculum has three transitional stages: freedom to learn, share, and change. The main obstacle is teacher adaptation to a new, more flexible approach. In addition, limited facilities and infrastructure, such as the availability of learning books, digital devices, and technological literacy, are a challenge. The positive effects are that student participation in the learning process becomes more active, creative, and oriented in each task. In terms of administration, the workload becomes lighter. Solutions for Handling the Obstacles of the 2013 Curriculum Transition to the Independent Curriculum in Elementary Schools include providing intensive assistance to teachers, optimizing training, and conducting regular evaluations to see what still needs improvement.

Abstract

Pelatihan penyusunan modul interaktif berbasis Active Learning untuk guru SD dirancang untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran serta memperkuat kompetensi pedagogis guru. Program ini dilaksanakan melalui serangkaian tahapan mulai dari identifikasi kebutuhan, sosialisasi konsep, praktik penyusunan modul, hingga implementasi dan evaluasi dampak. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman guru terhadap konsep Active Learning, dengan kenaikan tingkat pemahaman sebesar 50% setelah sesi sosialisasi. Selain itu, guru berhasil mengembangkan modul interaktif yang meningkatkan partisipasi siswa dalam pembelajaran, dengan peningkatan keterlibatan siswa hingga 40%. Observasi kelas setelah implementasi modul menunjukkan bahwa siswa lebih aktif dalam berdiskusi dan memahami materi dengan lebih baik. Evaluasi melalui angket dan sesi pendampingan menunjukkan bahwa 95% peserta merasa lebih percaya diri dalam mengadopsi strategi Active Learning dalam pengajaran mereka. Dengan demikian, pelatihan ini terbukti memberikan dampak positif bagi penguatan profesionalisme guru dan peningkatan efektivitas pembelajaran di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Abstrac: The purpose of the service activity is to describe the cultivation of nationalism through the Flag Ceremony training. The method of service activities with stages consists of socialization, implementation of activities and evaluation. The results of the service activities that the flag ceremony has gone well and had a positive impact on students. They not only acquire technical skills in the implementation of ceremonies, but also foster a sense of love and pride for the homeland, which they hope will continue to carry in their daily lives.Abtrak: Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian untuk mendeskripsikan mengenai penanaman sikap nasionalisme melalui pelatihan Upacara Bendera. Metode kegiatan pengabdian dengan tahapan terdiri dari sosialisasi, pelaksanaan kegiatan dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian bahwa upacara bendera telah berjalan dengan baik dan memberikan dampak positif bagi siswa. Mereka tidak hanya memperoleh keterampilan teknis dalam pelaksanaan upacara, tetapi juga menumbuhkan rasa cinta dan kebanggaan terhadap tanah air, yang diharapkan akan terus mereka bawa dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

This study develops a carbon cost accounting model tailored to the Indonesian cement industry, a sector that represents one of the nation’s largest industrial contributors to CO₂ emissions. While Indonesia introduced a carbon tax in 2022, its effective implementation has been constrained by the lack of clear technical guidelines for integrating carbon costs into corporate accounting systems. Drawing upon environmental management accounting, legitimacy theory, stakeholder theory, and the triple bottom line framework, this research proposes a structured model to identify, measure, and allocate carbon-related costs—namely emission allowances, carbon taxes, and abatement costs—within financial reporting. Using a mixed-methods approach that combines qualitative insights from industry practitioners with quantitative analysis of economic and sustainability data, the model addresses critical gaps in current practices, enhances transparency, and supports regulatory compliance. Beyond compliance, it provides a strategic tool for improving resource efficiency, reducing emissions, and strengthening competitiveness in a carbon-constrained economy. Ultimately, the proposed framework seeks to empower Indonesian cement companies to better manage their environmental impact, align with global sustainability targets, and enhance long-term economic resilience.

Abstract

This research investigates the development of Computational Thinking (CT) studies in science education by examining selected science journals. It focuses on 1) the distribution of CT research, 2) the proportion of CT-related articles, 3) research methods, 4) authors and citations, 5) education levels, and 6) scientific disciplines and topics. Despite limited systematic literature reviews on CT, its importance in science education is evident as it fosters critical thinking and problem-solving skills. This bibliometric review uses Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) to analyze 13 articles from five reputable international journals: Journal of Science Education (IJSE), International Journal of Science and Mathematics Education (IJMA), Journal of Research in Science Teaching (JRST), Science Education (SE), and Research in Science Education (RISE). Findings show that CT research began to develop in 2019. The mixed method is the most widely used in CT research (40%), with JRST publishing the most CT articles (70%). Citations for CT articles are not yet significant, with the highest being 119. Research at the elementary level needs more attention, as many studies focus on secondary schools. CT STEM is the most focused topic in these journals. Other findings are discussed in detail.

Abstract

This study aimed to assess the comprehension levels of prospective primary school teachers regarding verbal and visual representation models of static electricity. A survey was conducted involving 110 prospective teachers from West Java Province, selected through purposive sampling. Participants were categorized based on their secondary school study programs and gender. The study utilized a five-tier test as the instrument for data collection, with responses analyzed using descriptive statistics. Verbal and visual responses were categorized into several levels. Analysis revealed that the majority of both verbal and visual responses fell into the lack of knowledge, misconception, unidentified categories. These findings highlight the inadequate understanding of static electricity concepts among prospective primary school teachers, which may contribute to students' difficulties. Differences in educational background and gender did not significantly influence the comprehension levels in either verbal or visual representations of static electricity concepts. This provides insight into the fact that the topic of static electricity, though often regarded as straightforward and revisited at various educational stages from primary to secondary school, remains a source of widespread misunderstanding and error. The study underscores the critical need for targeted interventions in teacher education programs to enhance understanding and effective teaching of scientific concepts like static electricity at the primary school level.

Abstract

Sebagian besar siswa kelas II SD Muhammadiyah Bangsri masih menghadapi tantangan dalam memahami dan menuliskan unsur intrinsik karya sastra secara akurat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mereka dalam mengenali dan mengungkapkan unsur-unsur seperti tokoh, latar, alur, tema, dan amanat melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Mind Mapping. Hambatan utama yang dialami siswa berkaitan dengan kesulitan dalam memahami isi cerita serta mengidentifikasi komponen intrinsiknya. Penelitian ini melibatkan guru serta 25 siswa kelas II sebagai peserta, “menggunakan pendekatan penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui metode tes dan nontes dalam dua siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam keterampilan membaca dan menulis unsur intrinsik karya sastra, dengan rata-rata nilai kelas meningkat sebesar 8,56—dari 78,28 persen pada siklus I menjadi 86,84 persen pada siklus II.”

Abstract

This service is motivated by the existence of the Fun Clean School Movement (GSBM) which is integrated to shape the character of children to become religious, independent, and intelligent individuals like the motto of the City of South Tangerang. Meaningful education does not only think about scientific thinking, but needs to be integrated with characters that include various aspects of supporting the skills of elementary school-aged children. This service aims to provide an understanding of the concept of learning arts, culture and crafts in elementary schools whose development target is elementary school age. Combining the theory of development of elementary school-aged children, it was found that the learning content in the subjects of arts, culture and crafts can develop character in children through the scope of ecoprinting material. The stages of implementing this community service activity include: 1) Planning, 2) Implementation (training, mentoring and practice), 3) Evaluation. This service resulted in learning designs for Cultural Arts and Crafts, especially ecoprinting techniques in various media to support the Fun Clean School Movement (GSBM) program in strengthening KDP and the effectiveness of integrating arts and crafts learning in various media in supporting the Fun Clean School Movement (GSBM) as one of the ways to support character education.

Abstract

Pendekatan Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Math (STEAM) merupakan salah satu pendekatan yang menjadi trend di abad 21. Pendekatan STEAM menjadi salah satu jawaban untuk mampu mendesain kegiatan pembelajaran yang memfasilitasi peserta didik dalam kegiatan pemecahan masalah, proyek, dan penemuan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pendekatan Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Math (STEAM) yang dapat diterapkan di sekolah dasar untuk meningkatkan keterampilan abad 21 siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu systematic literature review. Data dikumpulkan dari berbagai sumber referensi seperti buku dan artikel jurnal yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan STEAM dapat diterapkan di SD baik kelas rendah maupun kelas tinggi. Penerapan STEAM dapat meningkatkan keterampilan abad 21 siswa SD. Keterampilan abad 21 tersebut antara lain keterampilan berpikir kritis dan penyelesaian masalah (critical thinking and problem solving/ expert thinking), komunikasi dan kolaborasi (communication and collaboration), kreativitas dan inovasi (creativity and innovation/ applied imagination and invention). Penerapan STEAM di SD masih membutuhkan peran guru yang cukup banyak. Guru berperan sebagai fasilitator dan motivator.
