Abstract

Vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and body temperature, are essential indicators of physiological responses to exercise. Environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity may alter these responses, yet limited evidence exists regarding their effect during indoor training in tropical climates. This study aimed to analyze differences in vital sign responses between individuals performing gymnastics-based strength training in air-conditioned (AC) and non-AC fitness centers in Medan Petisah District, Medan. A quasi-experimental pretest–posttest two-group design was applied with 100 male participants aged 18–30 years who routinely engaged in gymnastics-based exercise. Participants were divided into two groups: training in AC gyms and training in non-AC gyms. Vital signs, namely heart rate, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, respiratory rate, and body temperature, were measured before and after a standardized 30-minute session. Data analysis used the Independent t-test with a significance threshold of p<0.05. The findings showed no statistically significant differences in heart rate (p=0.184), systolic blood pressure (p=0.263), diastolic blood pressure (p=0.714), respiratory rate (p=0.114), and body temperature (p=0.380) between the AC and non-AC groups. These results indicate that short-term strength training produces similar physiological responses regardless of the presence of air conditioning. Strength training in both AC and non-AC environments demonstrated comparable impacts on vital signs. Although environmental comfort may differ, acute physiological adaptation remained stable. Further studies should involve diverse participants, longer training durations, and additional physiological variables to deepen understanding.

Abstract

The resolution of criminal acts through restorative justice, as demonstrated in Decision Number 56/Pid.Sus/2020/PN BDW, provides an alternative mechanism for handling criminal cases, including complaint-based offenses. Although reconciliation was achieved between the defendant and the victim-witness, the defendant was nevertheless found guilty and sentenced to three months of imprisonment. The central issue examined in this study is whether the application of restorative justice in domestic violence cases aligns with Law Number 23 of 2004 and whether the judicial decision is consistent with prevailing legal standards. This research employs a normative and descriptive-analytical approach based on secondary data. The findings indicate that the application of restorative justice in this case adheres to the procedures outlined in the Decree of the Director General of the General Courts No. 1691/DJU/SK/PS.00/12/2020. Despite reconciliation and the withdrawal of the complaint, such actions do not eliminate the defendant’s criminal liability. Although the court ruled that the defendant was not required to serve the prison sentence, the researchers argue that reconciliation achieved through restorative justice should not merely serve as a mitigating factor but should instead form the legal basis for exemption from punishment. Moreover, the regulatory framework for resolving domestic violence cases through restorative justice should be developed in greater detail. When a domestic violence case fails to meet the formal requirements for restorative justice, the conventional criminal justice process should apply.

Abstract

Education is crucial for developing human resources and preparing for global competition. Parents play a vital role in this process, significantly influencing and making decisions about their children's education. Thus, educational institutions should consider parents as key customers in choosing schools. The Daarut Tauhiid Rahmatan Lil'Alamin Foundation operates schools at the elementary, middle, high, and vocational levels. This research aims to determine whether there is an influence of the principal's leadership and teacher motivation influence the level of customer satisfaction at the Daarut Tauhiid Rahmatan Lil'Alamin Foundation. This research uses quantitative methods and data collection techniques by distributing questionnaires whose validity and reliability have been tested. The sample in this research is the parents of students, with the total number of respondents that the researchers will take from the Daarut Tauhiid Rahmatan Lil'Alamin Foundation, namely 322 people. The research results show that the principal's leadership, teacher motivation, and customer satisfaction are in the "good" category. The principal's leadership and teacher motivation have a positive and significant influence with an influence value of 6.851 and 8.447. There is a simultaneous influence of principal leadership and teacher motivation on customer satisfaction, with an influence value of 166,572.  The coefficient of determination is 0.511. That is, approximately 51.1% of the variability in customer satisfaction can be explained jointly by principal leadership and teacher motivation, while the remaining 48.9% can be distributed among other variables not included in this study. It is hoped that this research will contribute by exploring the factors that influence customer satisfaction, such as school principal leadership and teacher motivation. Therefore, the Foundation must improve to overcome this problem so that it does not happen again.

Supporting factors Nusawiru Airport has a strategic position as the only airport located in the Southern West Java, which is an alternative gateway to Tourist Destinations in West Java. As a strategic national tourism area to become a world tourist destination. Abstract

The advancement of technology in the digital era has significantly impacted various sectors, including banking, particularly in the management and protection of customers' personal data. Banks are legally and ethically responsible for safeguarding the personal information entrusted to them. This study aims to analyze the legal protection and liability of Bank Central Asia (BCA) in cases involving the misuse of customer personal data by third parties. The research is grounded in an empirical legal approach, supported by statutory analysis. It examines key regulations in Indonesia, including Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection, OJK Regulation No. 44 of 2024 on Bank Secrecy, Law No. 1 of 2024 in conjunction with Law No. 11 of 2008 on Electronic Information and Transactions, among others. The study explores the extent of bank obligations, customers’ legal remedies in the event of data breaches, and institutional accountability. Field data were collected through interviews and case analysis involving banking practices and third-party collaborations. The findings indicate that while the regulatory framework provides a solid foundation, gaps remain in enforcement and monitoring mechanisms, especially in third-party partnerships. The study emphasizes the need for stricter regulatory implementation, enhanced legal literacy among customers regarding their data privacy rights, and improved institutional oversight to ensure more effective protection of personal data in the digital banking landscape.
