Abstract

This study aims to design a user interface for the Brimen document borrowing/returning registration application by implementing the user centered design (UCD) method at PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero), Tbk. Especially the A.rivai Palembang Branch. This destop application design was created because the customer document borrowing/returning registration system in the Brimen division is currently still done manually using an A5 book, this is considered not very effective and efficient because miscommunication often occurs when documents have been borrowed without registering, in addition, searching for the location of customer documents and storing register data still involves Microsoft Excel so that this system is still less flexible when operated by ADK officers or Brimen employees. By optimizing the user interface design, namely the User Interface through an approach using the User Centered Design (UCD) method, it is hoped that the designed application can provide a better user experience and support operational efficiency in managing Brimen customer debtor data archives. There are several phases including understanding the use of the application, analyzing user needs in depth, creating responsive design solutions, and continuous evaluation and testing. By carrying out these phases, researchers can find and solve existing problems and create user interface (UI) designs that respond to user expectations and desires. This test involved 10 users using the System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire. The results showed that the Brimen Customer/Debtor Document Register Destop Application obtained an average score of 76.5 on the SUS survey. This value illustrates good user satisfaction and the application design meets user needs. Therefore, the design of this application can provide an optimal experience that better meets user needs.

Abstract

The development of online transportation applications such as Maxim has increased the need for sentiment analysis to understand user opinions from reviews on the Google Play Store. The main challenges in this analysis are language diversity, variations in writing style, and data imbalance, which affect model accuracy. This study aims to evaluate the performance of the Support Vector Machine (SVM), K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN), and Random Forest (RF) algorithms, as well as ensemble approaches through the Voting Classifier and Combined Classifier, in sentiment analysis of Maxim app reviews. The dataset consists of 2,851 Indonesian-language reviews collected through web scraping from the Google Play Store in 2025. Sentiment labels were automatically determined based on user ratings, where ratings of 4–5 were categorized as positive and ratings below 4 as negative, with an initial distribution of 2,295 positive and 556 negative reviews before balancing using SMOTE–Tomek Links. Preprocessing steps included case folding, tokenization, stopword removal, and stemming using Sastrawi, while feature weighting was performed with unigram TF-IDF. The Combined Classifier merged the probability scores from the SVM, KNN, and RF models to produce the final prediction. Evaluation was conducted using 5-Fold Cross Validation with accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and ROC-AUC as evaluation metrics. The results show that RF and the Combined Classifier achieved the best performance with 85% accuracy, 87% precision, 85% recall, 86% F1-score, and 0.91 ROC-AUC, while SVM and the Voting Classifier ranked in the middle and KNN ranked the lowest. These findings confirm that ensemble learning, particularly the Combined Classifier, effectively improves the accuracy and stability of review classification compared to individual methods.

Abstract

The socio-political context surrounding the Indonesian Ulema Council's Fatwa No. 83 of 2023, which catalyzed a significant consumer shift, necessitates an accurate measure of public sentiment toward alternative local brands like Almaz Fried Chicken. Analyzing real-time consumer discourse on the challenging TikTok platform, the study utilized a final dataset of 4,374 unique comments to overcome the inherent problem of dataset imbalance and linguistic informality. The core method involved a seven-stage quantitative approach: data collection, preprocessing, sentiment labeling, data splitting (70:15:15), Random Oversampling (ROS), IndoBERT fine-tuning, and evaluation. This pipeline fine-tuned IndoBERT, a Transformer-based model, integrated with ROS applied exclusively to the training data. Evaluation demonstrated that ROS significantly reduced model bias and enhanced performance: Overall Accuracy increased by 2.0% (from 91% to 93%), and the Macro F1-Score improved by 3.4% (from 0.87 to 0.90). Most critically, the F1-Score for the minority Negative sentiment class surged from 0.78 to 0.84, confirming ROS's effectiveness in accurately detecting critical feedback. These findings provide timely, data-driven insights into brand perception amidst the boycott campaign and establish a robust, reliable IndoBERT-ROS methodology for advanced sentiment monitoring in dynamic social media environments.

Abstract

This study utilizes internet network data from Ookla Open Data (Speedtest Global Performance), comprising three main variables: download speed, upload speed, and latency. The aim is to analyze the condition and performance of mobile internet networks across 17 regencies/cities in South Sumatera Province in 2025 and to provide data-driven recommendations for the Department of Communication and Informatics to promote equitable and improved digital infrastructure through a Knowledge Discovery in Databases (KDD) approach. The applied methods include RobustScaler for data normalization, Principal Component Analysis (PCA) for dimensionality reduction, and K-Means and Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM) algorithms for clustering regions based on network characteristics. The analysis shows that both algorithms form three clusters (K=3) with distinct patterns. GMM demonstrates higher stability than K-Means, achieving a Silhouette score of 0.426 and Davies–Bouldin Index of 0.284, compared to K-Means with 0.351 and 0.688, while the lower Calinski–Harabasz score of GMM (9.960) indicates a trade-off between cluster compactness and stability, highlighting its adaptive behavior to data variation. Urban areas such as Palembang and Prabumulih belong to the high-performance cluster, whereas Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan lies in the low-performance cluster (18.87 Mbps; 33 ms), revealing a digital gap of approximately 18 Mbps across regions. These findings emphasize the need for equitable digital infrastructure strategies through fiber-optic expansion, BTS capacity enhancement, and multi-stakeholder collaboration toward Indonesia’s Digital Vision 2045.
