Abstract

This study investigates students’ performance in the Cambridge Lower Secondary Test, especially in science subjects, after implementing the AIR (Auditory, Intellectually, and Repetition) learning model. The research subjects are ICP (International Class Program), totaling 16 students at SMP IT Albiruni Mandiri Makassar. The implementation of the AIR model is carried out since students are in stage 8 and continue to stage 9. The type of test for stages 7 and 8 is the Cambridge Lower Secondary Progression Test. The stage 9 test type is the Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint. The test results are described in the form of grades, namely Bronze, Silver, and Gold. At stage 7, the percentage of students who received Bronze was 68.75%, Silver 31.25%, and Gold 0.00%. There was a significant increase in stage 8, with 37.50% who got Bronze, 18.75% got Silver, and 43.75% got Gold. Then at stage 9, there was an increase of 68.75% of students who got Gold, 12.50% got Silver, and 18.75% got Bronze

Abstract

Adanya pandemi Covid-19 di akhir tahun 2019 mengubah pola hidup masyarakat di dunia, salah satunya adalah penerapan protokol kesehatan, seperti  memakai masker dan senantiasa menjaga kebersihan. Dengan demikian, salah satu hal yang wajib dibawa jika ingin berpergian adalah hand sanitizer. Pada kegiatan PKM ini akan diberikan pelatihan pembuatan hand sanitizer berbahan dasar daun kemangi. Mitra kegiatan ini adalah Kelompok PKK yang berlokasi di Kelurahan Samata Kecamatan Somba Opu Kabupaten Gowa. Kegiatan PKM ini dilaksanakan melalui tiga tahapan yaitu, peyuluhan terkait kandungan bahan alam, tahap kedua meliputi peragaan (demonstrasi) pembuatan hand sanitizer berbahan dasar daun kemangi, dan dilanjutkan dengan tahap praktek pembuatan hand sanitizer oleh tim bersama dengan mitra. Setelah mengikuti kegiatan ini, seluruh anggota kelompok PKK Keluarahan Samata mampu mengolah daun kemangi menjadi hand sanitizer alami.

Abstract

Abstrak. Digitalisasi kampus merupakan salah satu keharusan dalam menghadapi tuntutan zaman modern. Proses ini memanfaatkan teknologi informasi untuk mengubah cara lembaga pendidikan tinggi beroperasi. salah satu manfaat sistem digitalisasi yaitu menggantikan proses manual dengan sistem otomatis sehingga dapat meningkatkan efisiensi administratif pada Perguruan Tinggi. Tujuan dilakukannya pelatihan ini yaitu untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada para dosen khususnya di STAI Yapnas Jeneponto mengenai cara menggunakan Website Sistem Informasi Akademik (SIAKAD). Website ini dapat digunakan untuk medigitalisasi berbagai aktivitas akademik mulai dari KRS, Nilai Kuliah, jadwal perkuliahan, bimbingan PA online, hingga SKPI. Pelatihan ini dilakukan dengan metode ceramah 30% dan praktek 70%. Adapun peserta pelatihan yaitu dosen – dosen STAI Yapnas, Jeneponto sebanyak 17 orang. Para dosen mengikuti rangkaian kegiatan dengan antusias dan aktif baik pada proses diskusi maupun pada saat mempraktekkan penggunaan website SIAKAD. Evaluasi pemahaman para dosen dalam megaplikasikan website ini dilakukan dengan mengadakan pertemuan secara langsung pada minggu berikutnya. Kata kunci : SIAKAD; Digitalisasi; Perguruan Tinggi

Abstract

This study aims to identify student learning difficulties in physical chemistry lectures. The subjects are 61 students in the chemistry education study program from two different classes. The research method used is mixed. Data were obtained by using instruments in the form of structured and unstructured questionnaires. Based on the results of the data analysis, several student learning difficulties were identified. Based on unstructured questionnaires, students' learning difficulties in physical chemistry material based on internal factors are caused because students find it difficult to do calculation problems, formulate derivation, and use many formulas. Based on external factors, namely the learning method used. Students prefer learning that is carried out face-to-face in a class by doing a lot of practice questions connected with applying formulas to questions and in everyday life. 55.7% of students in the medium category in learning disorder, 72% of students in the high category in learning disability, 65.5% of students in the medium category in learning dysfunction, 57% of students in the medium category in slowly learner, and 54% of students in the medium category in lower achiever. According to many students, physical chemistry is difficult. In addition, some of the causes of physical chemistry being considered difficult are confusion in analyzing questions, and learning conducted online during the Covid-19 pandemic is considered less effective. Students expect the learning method used to provide many examples and practice questions.

Abstract

ABSTRAK kemampuan menyusun modul ajar kurikulum Merdeka serta Keterampilan dasar mengajar, seperti perencanaan pembelajaran, pengelolaan kelas, dan penilaian hasil belajar, merupakan aspek-aspek krusial yang harus dikuasai oleh calon guru. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengeksplorasi dan menganalisis kemampuan calon guru kimia dalam penyusunan dan implementasi modul ajar Kurikulum Merdeka, dengan fokus pada penguasaan delapan keterampilan dasar mengajar yang diperlukan untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran yang efektif dan inovatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan dua cara yaitu : analisis dokumen modul pembelajaran dan observasi implementasi mengajar. Adapun instrument penelitian yang digunakan, yaitu : angket dan rubrik Analisis Modul Ajar Kurikulum Merdeka serta angket dan rubrik observasi mengajar berdasarkan delapan keterampilan dasar mengajar. Kemampuan meyusunan modul ajar kurikulum Merdeka oleh mahasiswa calon guru yang berada pada kategori sangat baik yaitu sebanyak 77,78 selebihnya yaitu berada pada kategori baik. Adapun pada aspek keterampilan dasar mengajar sebanyak 66,67% mahasiswa berada pada kategori baik dan selebihnya pada kategori cukup. ABSTRACT The ability to develop teaching modules aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum and mastery of fundamental teaching skills—such as lesson planning, classroom management, and learning assessment—are critical aspects that prospective teachers must acquire. This study aims to explore and analyze the competence of prospective chemistry teachers in designing and implementing teaching modules based on the Merdeka Curriculum, with a focus on mastering eight fundamental teaching skills essential for supporting effective and innovative learning processes. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Data collection was conducted through two primary methods: document analysis of teaching modules and observation of teaching implementation. The research instruments include a questionnaire and an evaluation rubric for the analysis of Merdeka Curriculum teaching modules, as well as a questionnaire and observation rubric based on the eight fundamental teaching skills. The findings indicate that 77.78% of prospective teachers demonstrated excellent competence in designing Merdeka Curriculum teaching modules, while the remaining participants were categorized as good. Regarding fundamental teaching skills, 66.67% of the participants were classified as good, with the remainder categorized as sufficient.

Abstract

Ublik ramah lingkungan dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan dengan memberikan pencahayaan yang lebih baik tanpa mengorbankan kualitas udara. Sebaliknya, lampu ublik dengan bahan bakar minyak tanah dapat menciptakan risiko kesehatan masyarakat karena paparan polusi udara yang tinggi. Kegiatan inti dilakukan dengan durasi sekitar 150 menit termasuk tahap persiapan, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan melaksanakan Forum Group Discussion (FGD). Para peserta sangat antusias dalam mengikuti kegiatan ini. Hal ini terlihat dari jumlah peserta mahasiswa jurusan Kimia yang mengikuti kegiatan ini yaitu sebanyak 22 orang. Tim pelaksana melakukan observasi dan evaluasi diketahui bahwa lebih dari 75 % peserta yang telah mampu membuat lampu ublik artistik yang ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

Dalam pendidikan, terutama dalam bidang sains, infografik berperan penting sebagai alat visualisasi untuk mempermudah siswa memahami konsep-konsep ilmiah yang kompleks. Pelatihan pembuatan infografik sains interaktif ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam memanfaatkan teknologi visual untuk menyajikan informasi ilmiah secara menarik dan mudah dipahami. Pelatihan menyusun infografis interaktif ini dirancang menggunakan metode blended learning, yaitu kombinasi antara pendekatan tatap muka dan pendekatan daring (online), yang memungkinkan mahasiswa mempelajari konsep secara teori dan praktik. Peserta dalam pelatihan ini yaitu mahasiswa IPA UNM sebanyak 45 orang. Pelatihan ini berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap infografis, terlihat dari lonjakan peserta dalam kategori Sangat Baik dari 11% menjadi 47% serta penurunan signifikan dalam kategori Kurang. Peserta juga menunjukkan peningkatan kompetensi teknis, seperti penggunaan perangkat lunak dan pemahaman elemen desain grafis dengan skor evaluasi rata-rata "Baik". Selain itu, pelatihan mendorong kepercayaan diri dan minat mahasiswa untuk terus mengembangkan keterampilan, disertai kesadaran tinggi akan manfaat infografik dalam mempermudah pembelajaran IPA.

Abstract

Banyak guru di Kabupaten Takalar Khususnya di Desa Bontomanai masih menghadapi kesulitan dalam menerapkan metode pembelajaran inovatif, sehingga berdampak pada rendahnya keterlibatan siswa dalam proses belajar. Lesson study dipilih sebagai pendekatan karena terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme guru melalui refleksi dan kolaborasi. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam menerapkan Lesson study agar pembelajaran menjadi lebih efektif dan interaktif. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyuluhan, pelatihan, workshop, dan pendampingan langsung. Kegiatan ini melibatkan dosen dari Universitas Negeri Makassar dan guru dari berbagai sekolah dengan total peserta sebanyak 20 orang dan dilaksanakan SDN 112 Inpres Bontomanai, dengan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman guru terhadap Lesson study serta meningkatnya keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran. Terdapat peningkatan softskill guru dalam mengelola kelas dan menerapkan strategi pembelajaran inovatif. Namun, kendala yang dihadapi meliputi keterbatasan waktu refleksi dan minimnya sarana pembelajaran yang mendukung. Untuk pengembangan lebih lanjut, disarankan adanya pelatihan berkelanjutan, peningkatan fasilitas pembelajaran, serta penguatan kerja sama antara sekolah dan perguruan tinggi. Secara keseluruhan, Lesson study terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dan dapat diterapkan secara lebih luas dalam sistem pendidikan.

Abstract

The main issue in this study is that many students still have difficulty integrating theory with practice, particularly at the stages of data visualization and interpretation. This study aims to explore students' understanding of data collection and analysis techniques in research statistics courses through the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PJBL) method. A qualitative descriptive approach was used in this study, involving 22 students from the Chemistry Education Program. Students were applied to each stage of PJBL, namely: (1) Determining the Main Question, (2) Compiling a Project Plan, (3) Collecting and Analyzing Data, (4) Compiling Results and Interpretation, and (5) Project Evaluation. The results showed that students demonstrated a good understanding at the initial stages, such as Determining the Main Question and Compiling a Project Plan, which reflects their ability to understand and design the data analysis process. At more complex stages, such as Data Collection and Analysis and Compiling Results and Interpretation, it was found that some students had difficulty connecting the analysis results with the research context. Students' reflections during the Project Evaluation phase indicated that they were aware of the challenges they faced, such as the in-depth understanding of data visualization and interpretation techniques, as well as the importance of applying theory to practice. This study highlights the importance of the PJBL approach in supporting experiential learning to enhance students' understanding of research statistical techniques. Through in-depth exploration, this study provides insights into the learning challenges and the potential of project-based learning strategies to enhance students' research skills in higher education.

Abstract

Literature review is the process of collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing information from various sources that are relevant to a particular research topic. These sources can be scientific journals, books, articles, research reports, or other credible sources. In college, the task of evaluating literature is very common. Students are often asked to conduct literature reviews as part of their coursework. This study aims to find out how students understand and carry out literature review tasks. For this reason, the researcher directly observed 4th semester students of Chemistry Education UNM who were working on literature review assignments. The researcher collected data from their assignments and also the results of the surveys they filled out. By analyzing this data, the researcher wanted to find out to what extent students understood this assignment, what difficulties they faced, and what they thought about the literature review assignment. The results of the study showed that students generally showed a very good category in using language according to writing rules. Meanwhile, for the level of understanding of the topic, completeness of literary sources, and analysis of literary content, they had shown a good category. However, in writing references to the results of the literature review, students only showed a sufficient category. The survey showed that the literature review assignment helped most students in analyzing information and finding relevant sources. However, many students have difficulty in grouping information, making in-depth conclusions, analyzing information, reading many articles, and understanding unfamiliar language. These difficulties make it difficult for test takers to focus on completing literature reviews. This indicates that lecturers need to improve the way they give literature review assignments and apply more effective teaching strategies to help students understand how to review literature well, so that students are more trained in critical and systematic thinking.
