Abstract

This research uses a descriptive qualitative research method. The informants in this study involved five informants who were selected purposively according to their roles and involvement in management and development activities. The informants consisted of the Head of Supervision, Chair, Secretary, and field officers representing KSP Ranaka members. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, observation techniques, and documentation studies. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that KSP Ranakan Sejahtera Bersama has realized the five principles and needs to develop several improvement strategies, which are the recommendations and conclusions, namely: The principle of transparency has been well implemented, Accountability by controlling challenges related to human resource quality and conflicts, Responsibility requires attention to social/educational programs for members, Independence by continuing to develop and improve the management, Fairness by improving the provision of services and rights to all members with SOPs that are formulated and complied with Credit unions often fail not because there are no rules, but because of weak enforcement of internal rules. Therefore, for other researchers, it is necessary to specifically examine the analysis of opportunities and challenges using SWOT analysis for the development of credit union governance so that it can be competitive, and it is necessary to examine the implementation of GCG using the agency theory and theory approaches. Abstract

Ketahanan pangan keluarga merupakan isu penting dalam pembangunan pedesaan, terutama di wilayah yang masih bergantung pada pasokan pangan dari luar. Pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterlibatan masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan pekarangan rumah sebagai sumber pangan alternatif yang berkelanjutan. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui sosialisasi kepada keluarga dan masyarakat di Desa Belobatang, Kecamatan Nubatukan, Kabupaten Lembata, dengan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif berupa sosialisasi dan diskusi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya pemanfaatan pekarangan rumah sebagai sumber pangan alternatif, dengan partisipasi aktif yang berhasil meningkatkan keterampilan budidaya tanaman serta mendorong diversifikasi pangan keluarga. Masyarakat juga menjadi lebih memahami manfaat pekarangan rumah dalam memperkuat ketahanan pangan keluarga dan mulai mengaplikasikan teknik budidaya yang diperoleh dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Dengan demikian, sosialisasi yang tepat sasaran mampu membangun ketahanan pangan berbasis rumah tangga sekaligus memberdayakan masyarakat agar lebih mandiri secara pangan.

Abstract

The village government has an important role in realizing transparent, accountable, and participatory governance. One effort that can be made is to build positive and responsive interactions between the village government and the community. This study aims to describe how information boards and suggestion boxes can be used to strengthen two-way communication between the Liwulagan Village government and its residents. Information boards are used as a means of conveying information about village programs, activity agendas, and accountability reports, while suggestion boxes are a medium for the community to convey aspirations, criticisms, and suggestions directly. The implementation of activities is carried out through field practice, where the team together with the village government installs information boards and places suggestion boxes in strategic locations in the village. The results of observations show that this media is able to increase community participation and encourage the village government to respond more quickly to the needs of residents. However, challenges such as lack of community awareness in providing input and limited resources still need to be overcome. Overall, the use of information boards and suggestion boxes has proven effective in building positive communication and strengthening relations between the village government and the community in Liwulagan Village. Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance reading interest and digital literacy skills among the residents of Sandosi Village through the optimisation of the Unwira Reading House. The programme was conducted over three months, from March to May 2025, involving fifty participants comprising children, teenagers, and parents. A participatory approach was adopted to ensure the community played an active role in every stage of the activity. Implementation methods included a situational analysis, the provision of additional reading materials, group reading sessions, basic digital literacy training, and evaluation using pre-test and post-test instruments. The results of the activities showed an average increase in literacy skills from 58% to 87%, with more positive changes in learning behaviour, particularly among children and teenagers. The Unwira Reading House, which had previously been underutilised, is now once again being used as a shared learning space. Although the activities still face limitations in terms of facilities and internet connectivity, these results demonstrate that simple, community-based literacy initiatives can have a tangible impact on improving literacy at the village level.

Abstract

AbstrakProgram Kreativitas Mahasiswa bidang Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM-PM) TrashGo dilaksanakan di Desa Penfui Timur, Kecamatan Kupang Tengah, Kabupaten Kupang, Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur. Program ini bertujuan meningkatkan kesadaran dan partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengelolaan sampah melalui inovasi digital berbasis aplikasi TrashGo. Pelaksanaan kegiatan mencakup observasi, sosialisasi, pelatihan, serta pendampingan kepada masyarakat untuk memperkenalkan sistem pelaporan dan edukasi pengelolaan sampah berbasis teknologi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat sebesar 30–35% terkait konsep 3R (reduce, reuse, recycle) yang diukur melalui perbandingan hasil pre-test dan post-test berbasis kuesioner kepada peserta kegiatan sosialisasi. Peningkatan ini didukung oleh terbentuknya aplikasi TrashGo sebagai sarana komunikasi antara warga dan pemerintah desa yang berkontribusi pada meningkatnya partisipasi masyarakat serta dukungan pemerintah desa dalam pengelolaan sampah. Program ini memberikan dampak positif bagi kebersihan dan kesehatan lingkungan serta membuka peluang keberlanjutan melalui komitmen awal pemerintah Desa Penfui Timur untuk menyusun regulasi desa terkait pengelolaan sampah berbasis aplikasi TrashGo. Kata kunci: inovasi digital; pengelolaan sampah; aplikasi trashgo. AbstractThe TrashGo Student Creativity Program for Community Service (PKM-PM) was implemented in Penfui Timur Village, Kupang Tengah District, Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. This program aims to increase community awareness and participation in waste management through digital innovation based on the TrashGo application. The implementation of activities included observation, outreach, training, and mentoring to the community to introduce a technology-based waste management reporting and education system. The results of the program indicated a 30–35% increase in community knowledge regarding the 3R concept (reduce, reuse, recycle), as measured through a comparison of pre-test and post-test questionnaire results administered to participants in the socialization activities. This improvement was supported by the development of the TrashGo application as a communication platform between residents and the village government, which contributed to increased community participation and strengthened village government support for waste management. The program had a positive impact on environmental cleanliness and public health and created opportunities for sustainability through the initial commitment of the Penfui Timur Village government to formulate village regulations related to application-based waste management using the TrashGo application.Keywords: digital innovation; waste management; trashgo app.

Abstract

The conflict of interest that occurs between online taxis and taxis of El Tari Kupang airport is one example of business competition in the field of transportation. This is an important issue that requires effective handling from policy makers. The purpose of this study is to analyze and identify conflicts between two different types of transportation services using the functional theory of conflict initiated by Lewis A. Coser using indicators of social change and adjustment, social stability, encouraging awareness and group identity, and problem solving and negotiation. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative conducted with in-depth interviews, observation and documentation data collection. Based on the results of the research, the handling of conflicts that occur between online taxis and taxis at El Tari Kupang airport has not been carried out effectively, the regulations made have not provided full answers to consumer needs, and regulations related to limiting the operational zone of online taxis at the airport have not been fully accepted by the community both from the users of online transportation services and as the business actors of onine taxis and are considered monopolistic. In relation to the above research results, this study provides recommendations for policy makers to consider the needs of the three targets of this policy such as airport taxis, online taxis and the public as users of transportation services.

Abstract

This manuscript examines the role of traditional ecological knowledge as a foundation for the reconfiguration of marine protected area towards greater equity and effectiveness. Utilizing an analytical framework that integrates political ecology, TEK, and co management, this study critiques power relations in marine resource management and proposes an adaptive and inclusive governance model rooted in recognition, the redistribution of authority, and the institutionalization of local knowledge as an equal legal and scientific basis. Findings indicate that the success of marine conservation area management depends on governance capacity to bridge top down and bottom up approaches, ensure equitable benefit distribution, and foster local community participation and recognition through the integration of local wisdom. Nevertheless, implementation requires a committed effort to overcome capacity constraints, budgetary limitations, and institutional fragmentation. Recommendations for an adaptive and progressive governance model include:(1) recognizing TEK as a legal and scientific basis for conservation area management;(2) participatory mapping and institutional integration to transform indigenous knowledge into inclusive policy;(3) implementing substantive co-management with the redistribution of power to indigenous communities as decision makers;(4) legal harmonization that acknowledges customary sanctions as part of regulatory enforcement; and (5) participatory adaptive evaluation to ensure responsiveness to socio ecological dynamics and equitable benefit sharing.

Abstract

Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDes) di Desa Olaia, Kecamatan Aesesa, Kabupaten Nagekeo, menghadapi kendala berupa rendahnya pemahaman masyarakat serta keterbatasan kemampuan pengurus. Hal ini menyebabkan potensi ekonomi setempat seperti kopi, anyaman, dan pariwisata belum dimanfaatkan secara maksimal. Pada 14 Mei 2025, mahasiswa Universitas Katolik Widya Mandira Kupang mengadakan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat di Kantor Desa Olaia dengan tujuan meningkatkan literasi dan keterlibatan warga dalam pengelolaan BUMDes. Pendekatan yang diterapkan bersifat edukatif dan interaktif, meliputi penyampaian materi, diskusi kelompok, dan pelatihan manajemen. Hasilnya, peserta memahami fungsi BUMDes, bersedia aktif berpartisipasi, dan pengurus menguasai dasar-dasar manajemen. Lima potensi ekonomi lokal berhasil diidentifikasi, serta dibentuk kelompok kerja untuk unit usaha kopi dan anyaman. Kegiatan ini menjadi dasar pengembangan BUMDes ke depan, meskipun masih diperlukan pelatihan lanjutan. Keberhasilan ini menegaskan pentingnya pendidikan yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan lokal untuk mendukung pemberdayaan ekonomi desa secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Pelatihan pembuatan profil desa melalui blog merupakan inisiatif strategis yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas masyarakat Desa Liwulagang dalam memanfaatkan teknologi informasi untuk pembangunan desa. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh minimnya informasi yang terpublikasi mengenai potensi, sumber daya, dan kegiatan yang ada di Desa Liwulagang, yang berdampak pada lambatnya upaya promosi dan pengembangan desa. Tujuan utama pelatihan ini adalah membekali aparat desa dengan pengetahuan dan keterampilan praktis dalam membuat, mengelola, dan mengoptimalkan blog sebagai media publikasi profil desa secara komprehensif dan berkelanjutan. Metode pelatihan meliputi pembuatan video rekaman layar pembuatan akun blog desa dan hasil penulisan profil desa. Hasil yang diharapkan dari pelatihan ini adalah terciptanya blog profil desa yang informatif, menarik, dan mudah diakses oleh masyarakat luas, baik lokal maupun mancanegara. Dengan demikian, diharapkan profil Desa Liwulagang dapat terpromosikan secara lebih efektif, menarik investasi, kunjungan wisatawan, serta memfasilitasi partisipasi aktif masyarakat dalam pembangunan. Dampak jangka panjang dari pelatihan ini adalah terbangunnya kapasitas digital desa dan kemandirian informasi, yang krusial bagi akselerasi pembangunan Desa Liwulagang menuju desa yang maju dan sejahtera

Abstract

Food security is a crucial issue, especially in areas with challenging geographical and climatic conditions such as Retraen Village, Amarasi Selatan Subdistrict, Kupang Regency. To address this issue, the Demonstration Garden Program was designed as an educational effort to increase community awareness and understanding of the importance of local food security. This program aims to provide practical knowledge to villagers on appropriate, sustainable crop cultivation techniques that suit the local environment. The implementation of the program consists of three main stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Activities were carried out using a participatory approach to ensure community involvement in every process. The results showed an increase in community participation, improved understanding of cultivation techniques, and the emergence of local initiatives to develop gardens independently. This program is expected to serve as a learning model that can be replicated in other areas and to promote local food self-sufficiency in a sustainable manner.
